C-can you tel-tell me.. will they ev-ever really tru-truely care?" despite her best efforts her voice trembles, and she looks ready to flee even before he answers, as though she doesn't actually want the truth.

She was intrigued by him and wanted to see for herself rather than approaching from afar... a fortune? That was interesting. What curiosities could he foretell?
