She laughed at the question. "Boy you think one drink would do me like you?" Then she started laughing again. Rather than explain, Chel pushed herself off the couch and scratched her head for a moment or two. She did this all very slowly and deliberately because she was still tired and Shun had woken her up with only a few hours of sleep. He deserved some payback but her martyr's complex wouldn't let her be mad.
She eventually found her phone on the floor and picked it up. After searching for a moment or two she put the sound on very quite (one peg away from mute) and handed it to him.
Playing on the screen was his dancing. "There's a couple pictures too. Y'can delete them I jus' figured you'd want t'see uh. What happened." She'd never intended them for blackmail; only posterity.

Shun furrowed his brow, "I have no ******** clue how much you drank."
He groaned lowly after saying that, rubbing his face. He glanced over at the clock. He still had plenty of time before he had to go in for work. Thankfully. Looking up, he took the phone from Chel carefully, then just stared at was on the screen. He might have paled a little.

"S'okay," she said quietly, gesturing he take a seat on the couch while she did the same. "It was jus' me an' I locked the door."
She couldn't vouch for how soundproof his place was but hopefully he hadn't yelled loudly enough to brooch the walls. Worst come to worst she could just say it was her and Shun wouldn't be blamed.

Shun drew in a deep breath.
"Tell. No one. Of what you saw."
He had deleted the evidence at least. But that technically didn't stop Chel from talking about it if she really wanted to. The detective wasn't sure why he thought drinking was a good idea last night.
Oh right. Because of that.

"M'not a ********' snitch," she said angrily. "An' you know- wouldn't kill you t'be a little grateful."
Now that she was awake it was starting to feel colder than when she'd been in the blissful depths of sleep. Not wearing pants was a luxury ... but at what price.

A heavy sigh escaped him as he kept his hand over his face. Partially because of the headache, and partially due to shame.
"Why did you take pictures?"
Sure she said he could delete them, but she could have sent them out already for all he knew.

She scooted closer towards his chair just so the talking distance between them wasn't so awkward. "At first it was 'cause it was funny an' I wanted to remember it but ... I dunno. Thought you'd feel better deletin' 'em."
She looked to the rat and said, "'Cept try t'bowl over Rosie a few times on accident. But she's a sweet thing- I bet she'll forgive ya- no sweat."

Shun glanced over at the rat cage. Oh. She was calling the rat, Rosie. With a sort of groan, he said, "Her name is Kaji, not Rosie.

Chel's face lit up. "Kaji! Oh that's cool- what's it mean? It means like honor or somethin' right?"
Chel was that a*****e with the kanji tattoo that she told everyone meant love.

Among other things. Shun just shrugged, then rubbed his head again. He still was feeling pretty miserable right now.

"You were upset 'bout somethin'," she tried to offer. "Beatin' yerself over the head with a beer bottle it looks like."
She wouldn't relay the bit about failure and nobody giving a damn growing up. She imagined Shun already knew that part and could put that much together.
"You ... passed out pretty quick after the dancin' bit."

She held her tongue for a moment. She could lie. She could say it was all too vague and she didn't get anything out of it. That would be relieving for him, probably. She could also tell the truth, spill it all and get it all out. It would at least make him feel better to know the full truth.
Chel was doing mental laps and starting to feel like she was the one that needed to puke into the toilet.
"You ... said some stuff 'bout nobody carin' fer you when you was little ... an' that you got no good stuff in yer life now. Some stuff 'bout failin'- still don't think yer a failure. That ain't changed." She was looking away the whole time, fingers twisting nervously in her lap. "But don't worry," she said with a hoarse laugh, "You told me you wished someone other than me cared even when you was drunk."
She let Shun decipher that all as he wished. At least no names or specifics had been mentioned; he could rest easy in that.
