She wasn't happy about it but Jolanta was right. She did need to let him look at it and help if he could. But she waited before she lifted her dress enough. Thankfully the wound was below the knee so no thigh would be showing. Not that it made it any less embarrassing. Fallon managed to move the fabric so that only the injured leg was visible and her other one was tucked away. "I think there is some small rocks in it." That was all the verbal help he would get. Since she couldn't look at him, unless she wanted her entire face to turn a deep shade, she turned her head to look at something else. With the cut being little over an inch long there wasn't too much to clean. But it was deep enough that one could fit their finger in it. Certainly deep enough to hide little shards of rocks.

Jolanta waited as she arranged her skirts in a manner that allowed her to keep her modesty in check before he leaned in to look at the wound. He studied it closely before he reached into his pack to get out the water skin, holding it up for Fallon to see, "It's going to be a bit on the cold side but its necessary. If there is grit in the wound we will need to rinse it out." Once that was explained he turned his attention back to the wound, pouring the water out slowly over the wound. It was likely to sting a bit too but that was obvious since the wound itself likely stung. "Alright, salve... salve..." He dug into his pack, getting out a bundle, unwrapping a close from around a clay pot, and opened it up. The contents smelled strongly of herbs, filling the area around then with the scent as he gathered some of it with his fingers, spreading it over the wound. Once he was certain there was enough spread over the wound he then got out the bandages, wrapping the wound tightly so that the bleeding would cease. It was only once he felt that it was taken care of, to the best of his abilities with first aid at least, he then set to work putting everything away. He rearrange his sword again, leaving his back free, so that he could offer it to Fallon once more.

Being shown the water caused her to nod her head. At least she knew what was coming. Cold. And some stinging. Fallon closed her eyes in anticipation, as well as took hold of the log she was sitting on, and once the water hit she cringed. She wanted so badly to move her leg away but she knew that would only drag things out, so she stayed put. When Jol had to touch the wound to put salve on it she hissed through her teeth and turned her head even farther away. She wanted to cry. It had hurt when she barely poked at it and it hurt even more with him having to apply a bit more pressure to make sure the salve was spread. With Jolanta finishing up she let out a shaky breath and turned to look at his work. She was happy to see that it was mostly cleaned up, there was still some dried blood farther down her leg but it wasn't harming anything. Fallon moved her dress down and back into place so that she could cover her leg from view then she leaned forward and kissed her companion's cheek. "Thank you Jola."

Jolanta's cheeks went rather dark, a blush that creeped down his neck and up his ears, leaving a lot of his skin burning, "Ah... that... isn't necessary... Miss Fallon." He murmured, making a motion with his hand as he said, "Come on, I will carry you back so that you don't risk straining your wound. I wouldn't suggest that you walk on it until after it gets healed by someone with more training then I have." Perhaps a magical sort of healing would be best for the wound that she got in her fall? He was eager to get Fallon back to the Sanctum, not because he wanted to dump her off on them but because he wanted them to tend to her wound. He was worried about her, wanting her to be healed, so that she would feel better. Already he was fretting. What if he didn't get her back fast enough? What if her wound got infected or she got a fever? No... no... she would be alright, he would see to it! He would make sure that she got back to the Sanctum and got tended to sooner then later.

She couldn't manage to make eye contact with him after that but she did nod her head at him. Fallon manuvered so that she could lean on Jolanta's back. Since she didn't want to put his center of balance off she would wait before putting her full weight on him. Not that she weighed a lot but the poor guy had enough to carry without adding her to it. When he was standing upright she would do the best she could to wrap her legs around him. Since she didn't want to expose her legs again she would work with the range her dress provided. Which was just enough for her thighs to be at Jol's waist and hold her up.

Jolanta shifted Fallon on his back before he pushed up his feet, "Alright, I will get us back to the Sanctum as quickly as I can." Quickly and safely... and he would hope and pray that they wouldn't tell him to get lost and never allow him to help again. This hadn't gone in the way that he'd hoped to go. He had hoped that he would be able to help her out, to keep her safe, and things had gone far from well. Leaning over in a careful manner he pick up his sheathed sword, pack, and her basket before he started toward Pajore playing the part of a pack animal. He looked over his shoulder to make sure that Fallon was looking alright before looking around the area, making sure that they were still ahead of the stranger. Seemed as though the coast was clear he thought to himself before he started toward Pajore, and more specifically the Sanctum. Giving a little sigh he said, "It will be alright soon, Miss Fallon. Once you're back in the Sanctum they will be able to patch you up and get you back on your feet in no time."

Had she thought about it she'd have brought her basket with her when she had gotten on his back. However, now it was being carried by Jolanta. "I can carry something." Fallon was trying to be helpful. Not that the weight he carried would change but at least his hands would be somewhat more free. Leaning her head on his shoulder to try and see around him she held her hand out for him to give her something. "Just.. let me walk into the sanctum, alright Jola?" At least if she walked in then no one could say that he failed. Since her wound was bandaged she wouldn't be able to fake a fall. Unless she could manage to get it off before they arrived.

"It's alright." It didn't matter if he carried the basket in his hand or not since he would have had to carry the slight weight of it anything even if Fallon was holding it. Words that he didn't say outloud as he didn't want to seem as though he was being bothered at the moment. That wasn't the truth though, if anything he wondered if he was the one that was being a bother today... Shaking his head to clear such thoughts he continued forward, away from the danger that was the strange invader and toward the safety of home. Once he got back with Fallon he would need to tell the Sanctum that they had spotted the invader, so that they would know such a person was skulking about. Giving a nod of his head he said, "If you're sure that you will be able to make it on your own." He knew that he couldn't bring her all the way but he would bring her as far as she would allow him to. That she wanted to walk on her own was something that he could understand. One wanted to appear always as being strong... a priestess in training must be the same.

Since he didn't want to hand her anything to carry she put her hand back. With her arms over his shoulders her hands were resting on his chest. Fallon didn't say anything as far as her being sure she could manage it on her own. Honestly she wasn't sure if she would be able to. He was spoiling her right now by carrying her so when she eventually did put pressure on her leg it would hurt that much worse. Laying her head against him she simply went along for the ride. Though since she didn't need to walk or even pay attention to where it was they were going her eyes slowly closed until Fallon was sleeping on Jolanta.

Jolanta gave Fallon a glance when she seemed to go quiet behind him. It looked as though she was dozing off a bit, didn't it? It was something that caused him to give pause, making sure that she was still breathing, and once he was sure was alright he continued forward. It wasn't long before Pajore came into view but he was careful about taking a path that they wouldn't be noticed as much by taking. He didn't want to embarrass the priestess in training by walking passed everyone in Pajore with her sleeping on his back. It was only as they started to get closer to the Sanctum that he turned to look at her, "Miss Fallon... I don't want to bother you while you're resting but we are almost back to the Sanctum." He murmured in a quiet voice to her, slowing down the pace of his steps for the time being. She'd said she wanted to walk inside so he felt that so long as she was back on her feet before they actually reached the Sanctum that it should be alright, right? Given her request of him, which was to walk into the Sanctum on her own, he felt that it should be fine.

For a time she didn't feel pain then she heard the voice of her escort and it all came back to her. Fallon gave a small groan but lifted her head and opened her eyes to see where it was they were. "Oh.. alright." She then gave her attention to the ground. "I think I can walk from here." Her head nodded as if to reassure herself of her own words. "Thank you Jola." Fallon patted his chest and started to climb down from her perch. Once she was on her feet she would test how much weight she could put on her leg then reach for her basket.

Jolanta was careful to ease the priestess in training off of his back and onto her feet, giving her a once over as she stood there before him. It seemed as though she was able to keep her feet so it should be alright, right? He gave a slow nod at the thought before he put the strape on his sword's sheath over his shoulder, handing her basket over to her, before he said, "Give me just a moment." Digging into his pack he got out a piece of paper and a writing utensil before he said, "Other then the kelp, abalone, and sea stars... and well... your shoes, was there anything else that you needed from the beach?" He asked of her. He would head there straight away after she headed into the Sanctum but wanted to make sure that he had the full list of things that the priestess in training needed. It was his fault, as well as that of the invader, that they'd had to leave early. Even if it was for the best it was still his duty to make sure that she got everything that she needed from the beach, even if that meant doing it with his own two hands.

She mumbled a thank you for her basket and slung it onto her arm so that the handle looped over the crease of her elbow. When Jol told her to give him a second she nodded her head. Though she did take that time to put weight on her bad leg and used her other foot to pull at the bandaging. In order for her idea to work she'd need it off. Once Jolanta gave his attention back to her she quickly put her foot down and listened. "Oh, no. There was nothing else." At least not for this trip. Maybe on a later one she'd be after something different. Fallon gave him another smile. "You really don't have to go back for them. I don't want you to get hurt." It wasn't like they couldn't wait for those ingredients.

Jolanta gave her a curious glance between he nod, "Just those things then." He said, wondering if there was really something else that she was after. He might have to look while he was there to see if there was anything else that looked interesting or stood out. If there was he might get those things for her as well but for the time being he would stick to the three things that he knew she wanted along with her shoes. "It's alright, Miss Fallon. I am here to serve the Sanctum and to serve you. I don't mind making a quick run back to the beach to fetch the things you were after. I will drop the off at the Sanctum when I return. Don't worry about that or about me for now though, you should head inside get patched up and get some rest." He said the last bit in a gentle, urging tone of voice. He wanted her to be patched up and her wounds seen to. As such he wanted her to think on herself in this moment instead of worrying about him. He felt that he would be able to make the journey to the shore and back swiftly enough... and if that invader was still there he would just have to deal with him. That or just avoid him while fetching Fallon's things, whichever was safer. "I hope that you are feeling better soon, Miss Fallon, and I apologize again for how things turned out."

"I will always worry about my knight." Fallon stated. Though she seemed to blush after the words left her mouth. But truly that was essentially what Jolanta had been today. A knight. "Just don't get hurt or I will feel bad." She looked down so she didn't have to make eye contact once again. With her free hand she reached up to push her bangs to the side and then she cleared her throat. "I'm going in now." Not that she really needed to say that but it saved her from an awkward goodbye. After all, Fallon wasn't entirely sure how to act around Jol now. He'd seen her LEG! Touched her bare skin! Not her hand or face but something else. Turning quickly she headed toward the main gate of the sanctum. She had to pause and lean against the wall, mostly to rest but also to take the bandage off her leg (and she was sneaky about.) Once that was done she started to walk again and when she was within sight of those inside she tripped on purpose, crying out in pain this time since she was landing on already injured limbs. At least that should take the blame away from Jolanta.
