[OOC: Apologies for the delay. Was camping. I have now returned and will look to be wrapping this RP up in the next post or so!]
Tolui gulped as Maut questioned the rogue lioness, sinking down a little and wishing that he could just disappear. Would it be too obvious if he backed away and lost himself amongst the crowds? Probably...and it seemed cowardly to leave the nice female alone with the scary one. What would that say about him and his victory if he was willing to do that?
Still, though he stayed put, he daren't utter a word, choosing safety in silence.
That's when things hitched up a notch and the fighting started to get out of hand.
"Uh, who?" He blinked, realising that another lion and joined the fighting. "Oh..." he trailed, not really sure what was going on but certain it was nothing good.
---
Mawasii, nursing her pride amongst the audience now, was pleasantly surprised when the hyena took down his next opponent with the same ease in which he had beaten her. This one obviously had a natural talent. A beast on the battlefield! He was a good find, that one. Perhaps he'd decide to tag along. With the show he was putting on today he could rise up to head the nohoi within days.
And then, out of nowhere, a dark lion leapt - followed by yowls of pain and anger.
The dark female was back on her paws, craning her neck to get a good look. She could hear others stirring with anger and yowling for blood and her senses told her that things could get out of hand quickly.
"Who is that lion?" she called out.
"Dead!" a female hyena shrieked, slathering at the mouth.
"Is he a member or not?" Mawasii continued. The lion could hardly be blamed if he didn't know the rules!
"Dead!" Kurruvar shrieked.
Mawasii moved to interject, not wanting the hyena to make things worse, but apparently even that was not enough. Kurruvar gave a yowl and threw herself at the dark lioness and the pair of them went tumbling across the dirt, yelping and snarling and tearing at one another as if they meant to kill each other.[ exclaim OOC: The challenges have now descended into chaos and confusion. This state will last until my next post! wink No more challenges can be given so no more rolling. Bickering and fighting can spread but no god-moding allowed!]

Ovu's bloodshot eyes widened at what Kefir had dared to say to him. Not out of fear, but out of sheer shock. Kefir really had stepped up, and Ovu didn't know whether to laugh or roar in a rage. Fortunately for the frightened Seer, the blood-red lion saw the funny side, and so he let out another sinister cackle. "You really are too much."
As he stopped laughing, his expression darkened, his lips curling up into a vicious snarl. "Only when you are dead will I find someone else to pick on."
Without warning, he lunged at the dark lion, only to be tackled from the side. It was Zizima, the one he had brought into the Horde as some kind of sick joke, only to have it backfire on him spectacularly. Growling deeply, he quickly got to his feet and whipped around to face Zizima. "This is none of your business Grey Warrior."
Having tackled Ovu to the ground, Zizima placed himself between Kefir and Ovu. Ovu was the most volatile and untrustworthy member of the Nergui that he knew of. He was cruel and malignant, and if Zizima had his way, he would destroy him and everyone like him. Of course, the Horde may be much smaller for such a purge, and so he had no choice but to live with the likes of Ovu.
"Leave him be Ovu. Picking on those weaker than you may be how you get your kicks, but as you well know, I will always be around to stop you." With that, he ran forward and pounced on his blood-red adversary, biting and clawing as he did so.
Ovu managed to get in a few deep scratches and a bite or two, but ultimately he was unprepared for this particular fight. With a swift kick to the stomach, he managed to scramble out from under Zizima. He quickly looked around, to see who had been watching. It looked as though the attention of the Horde was mainly on the fight ring, and so he took his chance to back off amongst the crowd. "You will NOT be around forever Zizima, mark my words."
As big as he was, it didn't take Ovu long to blend in with the other dark and bloody pelts around him. When Zizima got to his feet, he looked to Kefir to check that he was alright, but his attention was quickly taken by the suddenly chaotic scenes around him. It didn't appear to be of Ovu's doing either, as the Horde was shouting and screaming towards the right ring. What had gone on?
Not wiling to waste time to figure it out, Zizima barged his way into the centre of the Horde. There was more than two involved in the fighting now, which despite the Nergui's many faults, was not how they did things. "Everyone calm down!" He roared, attempting to get the attention of anyone who was now seemingly calling for the death of one of the lions involved in the fighting.
He turned his attention to the ones still fighting. "Stop this now, before the Horde destroys all of you!" Being of Firekin blood, he was bigger than most, so it would be hard to ignore him. Whether or not anyone heeded his words remained to be seen, but he hoped he wouldn't have to resort to violence for the second time tonight.

Eerin was not amused by the battle manners of the two lions, she growled and nipped after anyone getting too close to her. The hyena who had just bested her was decent enough, so she tried to watch his back in the confusion. She was taking some hits and dishing some out, but it wasn't entirely clear who was fighting whom. Not even a large grey lion yelling something got her to lift her eyes from the fight. Distractions like that could get a girl killed. --- Raubtier wasn't the only one howling for blood, and when Kurruvar lunged he threw himself into the fray too. After attacking and being attacked seemingly at random by brawling lions and hyenas he noticed Kurruvar and Mawasii fighting a short distance away, fur flying. He was bleeding from his ear, but no matter how much his blood boiled he recognised that those two were kin. Nergui shouldn't fight Nergui. He did something that might be either brave or stupid and tried to tackle the pair to make them snap out of it. A more likely outcome would probably be that he'd be bitten...

Gael was about to accept the challenge of the pale lion when chaos erupted. That wasn't terribly uncommon in the Nergui, and honestly he was surprised it hadn't happened before now what with all the rogues in the area. He watched as lion and hyena scuffled, tail flicking in mild amusement as it unfolded. A few were snarling and snapping to try to regain order, but Gael knew it would take more than just a shout for peace. This was the Nergui, after all. Once they smelled blood they was no stopping them.
He kept his distance on the little rocky ledge he and Zeki had been on, the other lion nowhere to be seen for the time being. Watching over the scuffling, he decided it was best if he stayed out of it. He had won his battle, and now he would be one of the few to leave this day without meaningless scars.
---
Zeki, on the other hand, dove right back into the fray. He hadn't had a good battle in too long and the one with Gael had only fueled his desire to fight. Bounding forward, he snapped at ankles and tails, raking his claws in the dirt as he changed direction, enjoying the chaos and madness of it all. He roared to egg others on, not wanting to see the fight end without more blood being spilled.

exclaim You now have approximately 24 hours to get in any final posts to be included in the raffle. I will roll numbers tomorrow.
---Quote: Additional Prize Added! The second-born in a litter of five. This girl was born to a loving couple within the Nergui. The mother is a gruff but kindly orc-inspired lioness and the father is gaining renown within the horde. They will be raised with more kindness and care than many cubs. Colourist: Seaki Kefir could not quite believe how lucky he had been. To escape death yet again at the hands of Ovu seemed far too great a miracle. He cast a grateful eye towards Zizima, marveling at the power the grey one seemed to cast. What an aura!
Creeping backwards, away from where the chaos was beginning to stir, Kefir turned and fled - heading for safer grounds as far away from Ovu as he could find.
And meanwhile...
Mawasii and Kurruvar, joined by their teeth, rolled across the dirt again, both unrefined in their flailing. The noise they were making partially blotted out Zizima's calls - though perhaps somewhere in the backs of their minds they were registering it.
Kurruvar gave a hard tug, finally pulling free from the lionesses grip and - before Mawasii could close it again - Raubtier was there. His presence was enough to make her falter and snap back to her senses.
"Raubtier...what?"
But Kurruvar was not so easily snapped out of it. Raubtier was in the firing line and it seemed she had no option but to barrel through him. Snapping her jaws, she lunged at the other hyena to get him to move aside.
Mawasii, meanwhile, realised that the Grey Warrior was attempting to regain some calm and, leaving Raubtier to deal with Kurruvar, she stepped up alongside the large, scarred male.
"Cool it, everyone!" She was yelling, "the Grey Warrior has spoken!"

Raubtier yelped as Kurruvar apparently tried to run through or over him, jaws snapping. He didn't intend to move out of the way and let her continue tearing into a fellow horde member, but she wasn't calming down. This could get painful.
"Hey! HEY!" he yelled, trying (unsuccessfully) to avoid being bitten, "OW! Kurruvar! I'm a friend! Mawasii is also a friend! We can kill the intruders later. OW! I'll help you kill them, but not now!"
He tried his best to dodge her jaws, while still staying in front of her to try to prevent a rampage. It was much more fun running beside a hyena like Kurruvar, tearing into their enemies, than being in the line of fire like this. It would be easy to just slink away with his tail between his legs, but he was too stubborn to give up. He'd already been bitten, so he might as well see this through. She'd probably not kill a fellow Nohoi. He hoped.

Congratulations!
You may choose to either keep a cub or, alternatively, to give it as a gift. The default rank for adult members is 'emkurcar', however you may also choose 'braak' or 'shuko' if you so desire. Seers can choose to become 'kaar' upon adulthood, but this isn't obligatory. Cub number 2 and 3 have not had their seer rolls.Prizes:
Number 1: The oldest of three cubs and large in size, this cub was sired [unknowingly] by a god and therefore a seer. This gives her greater advantage over other females in the horde regarding ranks as she is also of Founder blood. PM SilverLutz with her name and future rank.
Number 2: The third-born in a litter of five, this boy was born to a loving couple within the Nergui. The mother is a gruff but kindly orc-inspired lioness and the father is gaining renown within the horde. They will be raised with more kindness and care than many cubs. Colourist: Seaki. Please PM Kimaria with his name and future rank. Skyrim orc-based names are optional.
Number 3: The second-born in a litter of five. This girl was born to a loving couple within the Nergui. The mother is a gruff but kindly orc-inspired lioness and the father is gaining renown within the horde. They will be raised with more kindness and care than many cubs. Colourist: Seaki. Please PM Kimaria with her name and future rank. Skyrim orc-based names are optional.

Promotion Opportunities
The Nergui is in dire need of some high ranking lions to oversee the ruckus that is the horde. Do you have a lion you feel is worth of the rank? If so, feel free! Old members and new ones alike can apply, so don't be put off if you have a rogue who has only just joined - or is yet to join!
The following ranks are open for applications:
Worrurd [Warlord] x2 warlord positions available, one overseeing the 'braak' and the other to oversee the 'shuko'. The Nergui ‘captains’ who have a more ‘hands on’ approach with the troops than their superior. Like the troops they specialise in either battle or stealth, bringing with them the skills from their time as Blood or Shadow. They join the warriors into battle and carry out the high warlord’s orders.
Muvukol [Martinet] x1 martinet position available. A term loosely translated to ‘manager’. The martinet heads up the emkurcar [enforcers], giving them their duties, organising schedules and ensuring that they are completely their duties well. Any enforcer looking to be promoted to braak or shuko must receive a recommendation from this lion.
exclaim arrow Your Nergui will score a bigger chance of promotion for: - being male - being founder blood - RP (each complete RP is worth one point) - holding a rank above 'emkurcar' - unusual marks or scars
Please send the below application form via PM to 'Kimaria'.Promote me, please! Position Applying for: Warlord Braak / Warlord Shuko / Martinet (you may apply for one, two or all three positions) Nergui's name and image: Gender: Current Rank: Complete RPs [if any]: - link here - link here - link here - link here etc...

Kurruvar finally pulled up short, blinking at Raubtier as if she was only just seeing him for the first time. For a long moment she stared at him and then her ears flattened and she growled.
Around her the rabble was calming and, that too, seemed to have an affect on her. With a softer huff, her body relaxed and she gave a low grunt of agreement. "Kill later," she agreed, taking a step back and glancing around as if trying to find the intruder. She failed to spot him, however, and with a low mumbling that was not quite audible, she cast Raubtier a final glare, then turned and trotted off as if nothing had ever happened.
