The girl fist-pumped and then proceeded to give June a detailed idea of her schedule. This was Important.

It’s was pretty clear that whatever magic powers America had started to dabble in and June was beginning to uncover, the most powerful being at the table was definitely the wriggling corgi.

June blinked slowly and then hurriedly pulled out a notebook to write down such important details. Honestly June never went anywhere (having a social life? What was that like?) and didn't get sick much, but maybe she'd pretend a little bit for America's sake.

"Okay. I officially name you my dog's godmother and bequeath you the um ... the magic power of puppy sovereignty."

Instead of reaching out to shake hands with June again, America just went in for the Big Hug. They were Friends now.
