Rosa removed her hand and held each hand behind her back as she watched the students talk among themselves. Hearing the refreshing sound of Vanora's voice, reminded her of Atlas, how everything was prim and proper. "Indeed it is refreshing." Rosa agreed. However, her concerned lied with Leo when He watched as Chrissy, Yoru, and the child went up in shadows, and left the area. While they vanished to whatever location, the headmistress made not that Yoru's pet was still around. She had no quarrel him, nor bore any ill hate towards the strange fellow. It was all about trust, and she knew little about him.
Turning her back towards the children and the other adult, she stayed by Vanora's side, and leaned in for a whisper. "I'm sure you're well aware of the danger with my presence being here. You have every right to assume the worst.....I cannot discuss it with you personally....however..." Rosa slipped a data com into Vanora's pocket, undetected. "This holds the documents pertaining our enemy, and the importance of the meetings......Tell no one....trust no one else....." Her concern lies in her lack of trust with the other headmasters. Since they decided to hide such importance from their students, how could she trust any of them?
In Atlas, if she knew the student lives were at danger, or other threatening out come, she was sure to be honest with them, and made the preparations to attack any scenario with a calmed mind, and addressed the situation to avoid panic with her people. Here, at Beacon, so far it's been nothing but secrets. Rosa fixed her posture, and turned her attention back to the students. "I'm sure with training, they'll turn out as fine hunters and huntresses....." She thought to resume a casual conversation until Yoru and the other two return.

Leo would look to see Lilian rushing over to check on him, obviously his condition had worried her more than he had thought would. Before he could say anything however, she would immediately start fussing over the fact that she had touched his bare chest. He didn't mind her touch, it felt cool to his slightly feverish skin, and he almost enjoyed the feeling of it. Next thing he would know however, was that Lilian slapped herself right in front of him. He would blink in confusion and try to speak up, only to have her rush off to Marten, thanking him for candy. With Marten's words, Leo would smile softly and nod back to them. “I'll keep the offer in mind Marten... Thank you.” With a slow breath, Leo would then kneel down once more to gather his things together, preparing to move out of the assembly hall in case they were going to be dismissed. As he pulled his pack and weapon rig back onto his back, Headmaster Yoru would walk over with Professor Chrysanthemum and abruptly take them both into the shadows.
Upon exiting the shadows, Leo's dizzyness, combined with the feeling of the travel as well as the sudden lack and introduction of light would all combine into enough stimuli to take him over the edge of control. He would fall to his knees and retch for a few minutes, his body reacting violently to what had transpired. Once his body had calmed, he would wipe his mouth with his forearm and look around himself slowly, the words of the two not reaching him in his current state. With no small effort, he would stagger onto his feet and slowly stumble his way to a few familiar looking plants just ahead of him, immediately taking a few leaves and rolling them together before tossing it into his mouth and grinding it into paste between his teeth. After a few moments of preparation, he would swallow the bitter medicine and sit down, his eyes closed shut as he let the herbs do their job. After a few minutes of silence, he would open his eyes carefully and look to the two in front of him. “I'll clean up after myself... my apologies for acting on my own...” He would say weakly, the medicine allowing him to focus once again, but still being slow to relieve his nausea and dizziness. “I'm afraid I didn't hear you the first time... What did you require of me Headmaster?”
OOC: I hope you're happy, Leo's first day and he gets sick in front of the teachers. XD

Hearing Martins response to the welcoming of the team. She couldn't help but smile all to happily. However, when he stated that he had a sweet tooth, no different from her, Lilian's eyes sparkled with delight. With a light blush, and the start of fiddling with her fingers, she shyly took a step forward to Martin. "Do you.....have carrot cake?......" She muttered quietly. But then the images of candy rained into her thoughts, and she began to get over excited. Looking up to him with hungry eyes. "Or perhaps chocolate covered strawberry, hard candy, butter mints, mango pops, o-or cotton candy??" Lilian was swamped with multiple choices of sweet treats, and thought to ask and see exactly what kind he carried.
Though, something about the air shifted, which made her ears twich in reaction, and paused in her excitement to turn and see Headmaster Yoru, one of the teachers, and Leo, be enveloped by this shadow, and then....poof. With and exaggerated; "Ehhhhhh!?!" Lilian back up and clung to Martin while pointing at where they once stood. "D-Did you see that!?" She looked up to her companion, hoping she wasn't the only one to have witnessed Leo's disappearance.

≺While Leo's condition did concern Vanora, he was gone before she was given a chance to act, thanks to the headmaster. At this point in her career, Vanora didn't even question it when Yoru vanished with a companion or two or three. It was just how things worked here at Beacon. Her head turned back to Madam Cobolt as she leaned in to speak once more.
Hushed words and the discrete deposit of important documents into her care alone let on to how dangerous the situation was. However, to trust no one? Nora had learned that lesson long ago, but these were her colleagues. She knew them, and while trust was not a word she threw about easily, they were dependable. However, after weighing the pros and cons of hiding this information, Vanora came to the conclusion that because her instincts were correct, she would do as Rosa asked of her and she gave a subtle nod of understanding. "You have my word, my lady." She said before going on as if it had been some casual gossip, looking out on the remaining students. "I have faith that they'll be one of the best groups we've had here... After we beat them into shape, of course." Vanora would chuckle softly. "This lot certainly holds a great deal of potential, that much is certain."≻
A sigh escaped Yoru's lips as he was forced to sit down, but it wasn't Chrissy he was sighing at. It was everything weighing on his mind about this situation that was upsetting him, taking a deep breath he finally began to speak. "Don't worry Chrissy I'm not going after my brother alone. The reason I'm telling only you and not Nora is because no offense to our colleague, but is I trust you more than her.
And the students are not ready yet to learn of the dangers presented by this enemy as of yet. They are still young, let them play the part. We both know that soon enough those smiles we saw back in the assembly hall will become nonexistent as life as a Huntsman or Huntress will become their lives, and now is not the time to ruin that for them. And Zack well....um....he stormed off before I could really get where he was going, but he did say that Mr Firesoul here had an access code to a secure radio signal. Now Leo I hate to ask as you are still unwell but we need that code so we can find our friend. And again I ask that what is said doesn't leave this room. Also as for the puke well I've got that." As he said that the shadows converged on the are where Leo released the contents of his stomach and transported it to the garbage dump that was on the property.
Chrissy lightly rested her hand on Leo's head after he got sick, watching him worriedly as he seemed to be recovering. She sent Yoru a slight glare as the man pressured Leo to give him the code for Zack's radio signal. "Once we have Zack's foolishness sorted you and your teammates should go to your dorm room to rest. I'll bring by something for both teams to eat since I imagine you're all tired and hungry." She shook her head slightly, worried about the young students who would had such a hard future ahead of them.
Leo would breath slowly as he continued to sit through the effects of the medicine. Maybe Old Dalan was right, making the herbs into a medicine that he could burn for daily use would be the easiest way to prevent larger scale migraines. He would look to the two when they mentioned Zack storming off for a reason unknown to them. "Zack only looses his temper to that degree when someone makes a similar mistake to what he made years ago... He hates it when lives are needlessly lost." He would say quietly before sitting more upright, tipping his head to the side as a subtle, polite gesture of not wanting to be touched. At the mention of the secure channel he had made, Leo would pull his pack close and dig around for a very old scroll, a model that was no longer made. Pulling it out, he would turn it on and begin tapping at it quickly, running all the proper security scripts and connection points manually. After five minutes, he would look to Yoru and offer the scroll. "It's essentially a game of message tag, it send recorded messages via the usual com towers, but bounced off of countless other scrolls to that the origin and destination points can never be found out." Leo would explain plainly.
"The maximum you can record for is five minutes, otherwise it becomes too much to keep hidden. As for keeping the channel a secret, I don't see any reason to bring it to light to anyone else..." Leo would say with a small bit of confusion. Was there something that he had missed perhaps, in his fatigued state? He was sure that they were speaking to him when he was going for the medicine, but he could not understand them past the dizziness and nausea. With the medicine finally working full force, Leo would slowly get to his feet, looking around thoroughly for the first time since he arrived. "More than enough for me to try various forms of the medication..." He would mutter to himself before kneeling down and digging through his pack once more, this time for a small leather bound notebook. Pulling it out, he would flip through the pages quickly until he saw the formula for the medicine that Old Dalan made for him, the pill, tea, and smoking powder all listed next to each other. "Would it be alright if I were to harvest some of these herbs on a biweekly basis? It would help prevent future... episodes such as this one again." He would ask as he inspected one of the plants carefully, only to have a dog suddenly pop out from the soil in front of him and bark once, startling Leo and causing him to fall to the ground. Duo would look to Yoru and Chrissy with a mischievous glint in his eye and pop out of the planter he was in, shaking the dirt off of him quickly before dropping down and sitting next to Leo.
"I saw him in the clearing earlier... He one of your's...?" Leo would groan out, not wanting to move for a few moments to let his stomach and head settle from the sudden fall.
Yoru gently took the old scroll and examined it thoroughly as it was very unusual to still find one that worked. Quickly afterwards he would find the area for sending messages and would send a quick message. With a light cackle of machinery parts the recording device would power up. "Zack it's me Yoru, please fill me in on what exactly it is you are doing. You know we need to have a plan before you head out." With his voice full of worry for his friend he barely heard Leo's question and would just nod to him in response. It was then Duo would appear out of a plant and his jaw would just drop. "Ok I give up on this dog, Zack needs to stop teaching you needs tricks Duo. Seriously how do you do this stuff dog? Nevermind I don't want to know. And as for the use of the greenhouse Leo yes you can just let me or Chrissy know what you take please. Hmm it seems Zack's dog,Duo has taken a liking to you, rather unusual. But nevermind why don't you head back up to the others and we can talk more later. He would walk over and unlock the door for Leo and allow him exit, when he left he would shut the door and look at Chrissy.
Chrissy let Leo shake her touch off, sighing softly as she looked at Yoru, her expression showing that she was quite determined to learn what had angered Zack and what Yoru planned to do about it. She shook her head slightly as Leo asked about what he'd missed. "It's something important that the students are not supposed to know because it will show them more of the harshness of the world than we'd like them to learn so soon. I think it's better you didn't hear as I didn't want you keeping secrets from your team. Whatever you think you need, for yourself or your team, just ask. If Zack won't get it for you or isn't around you can ask me."
She was startled as Duo popped up, softly sighing and petting the dog once he'd dropped to the floor. "He's Zack's partner," she said, shaking her head as Yoru complained. "You're a good dog, no matter what Yoru says. But you need to behave and not damage things if you can help it," she told Duo, glancing up as Yoru opened the door for Leo. She stood with her hands on her hips as he looked back at her, knowing that Yoru would need to speak with her more once Leo was gone.
Leo would get up slowly from the ground and shoot Duo a dirty look before quickly gathering enough herbs to last him for two weeks, a total of 17 leaves from a combination of 4 plants. Putting everything away into his pack, he would slip it onto his back once again and walk to the door silently. He would stop just before leaving and look over his shoulder at the two. “This may be just due to my being on the road alone this past year, but hiding everyone from the ugliness of reality is just misguided... Everyone comes to terms with reality sooner or later, and the less shielded from the truth they are, the better...” He would say to them dryly, his voice holding a hint of a deep sorrow. “If you'll excuse me...” He would say quietly, bowing to them slightly before walking off once again. Duo would follow him quietly out of the greenhouse, and after the two were clear of the greenhouse, the door would shut behind them. With a sigh, Leo would look around to study his surroundings, trying to create an internal map that he could follow in the future. “Now then... Where is the assembly hall...” He would mutter to himself, his train of thought being disrupted by Duo as he gripped Leo's pant-leg with his teeth and tugged. Figuring that the corgi was trying to lead him somewhere, Leo would shrug and look at Duo with a neutral expression. “Lead on then... I guess...?”
Duo would bark once in confidence and start to trot off down a lightly worn path, Leo following silently as he kept an eye on the dog, not wanting to loose track of it. After a few minutes, they would find themselves in the campus' courtyard. “And now I know how to get to the greenhouse... excellent.” Leo would comment to no one in particular as he started to make his way back to the assembly hall. “I suppose I should thank you... Duo, was it...?” Leo would say to the corgi as it walked along side him. Duo would bark once in confirmation, and Leo would smile slightly. “I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that Zack has an overly intelligent dog for a partner. He always was an odd one. Anyway, once we get to the dorms, I'll cook up this turkey here and give you some. Better than it going to waste after all.” With that, Duo would begin to drool excitedly. Ignoring him, Leo would walk into the assembly hall and find that everyone was still there. “The headmaster has given us the ok to head to the dorms everyone.” He would call out casually as he lingered by the door, not knowing if he should wait for his team before going to the dorms or not. Duo, upon seeing all the new faces, would immediately start to run around like a nutcase, sniffing and barking at each of the students in turn, taking especially close interest in Lilian and Hirsch. Duo would then spend some time chasing the two around barking playfully while his eyes glinted mischievously the entire time. Leo would stand there and watch the bizarre scenario, his eye twitching, as he tried to figure out what to do about the maniac of a partner that Zack had aquired.
Yoru sighed as he shut the door and looked at Chrissy. He had never been in this problem before and was not sure if he had made the right choice. Looking at Chrissy in the eyes he took a deep breath and began to speak.
"Do you think I'm making the right choice Chrysanthemum? Do you think hiding this from the children is the correct thing to do? I want to keep them safe from the dangers these maidens possess. I want them to live semi normal lives right now but should I keep them in the dark? How can I do the right thing if I'm not even sure if I am doing the right thing?" His voice full of sadness and unsure of his decision.
Chrissy softly sighed as Leo left, focusing on Yoru as he shut the door behind the boy. She moved closer to him and lightly rested her hand on his shoulder. "I think that you're right to want to protect them, but he's also right. The sooner they know what they're up against the sooner they can prepare. We can tell them as a group about these Maidens and their goals and include what we know about them in our classes. They need to be prepared for what is to come, all of it."
Lightly she kissed Yoru's cheek, smiling at him softly. "We can keep this quiet, if you want, and we can try to teach them as if it were only a duel scenario. But these students are young adults, soon to be considered adults and Huntsmen and Huntresses with our teaching. One day they'll be out there on their own and they'll need to know everything we can give them to survive."
She stepped back again, turning and moving through the greenhouse. "Whatever you decide I will stand by, Yoru. I feel that we should tell them what we can and give them what hope we can, anything we have that we could use to fight these Maidens. Ask the others, if you want another opinion, though I can imagine that Zack will agree with me. This is exactly what sent him off in a rage I imagine. The others...I don't know." As she stopped she swayed slightly, shaking her head. "In the end, the students also deserve the right to choose. It is their future." She turned again to face Yoru, her hand on her hip. "Whatever happens, I will stand by your side. I won't stand for you shutting me out again."
Hirsch smiled after Garnet called him 'partner'. "Alright, then!" He turned to the others while the teachers spoke. "So, what should we be doing now? I mean, aside from knowing what our classes are and stuff." He stared at the teachers in interest. "I wonder what they're talking about...?"

Lilian looked to Martin, only to figure he was a bit preoccupied with his thoughts, perhaps? With a small pout, she looked away, and relaxed her expression when looking at the other group. Garnet seemed to be doing just fine fitting in. That's good, she thought to herself. However, the next thing she heard was a dog barking. Her eyes widen and her ears perked straight up.
She remembered t days of walking home from school, and the humans would sick their rabid dogs on her, chasing her. She even remembered one time when her legs were injured and she was scolded for it. Her legs are important to her, other than being sensitive to touch, they are her prize and joy. They are what let her jump as high in the air naturally, and run as fast as she does.
When the dog came up to sniff at her, she freaked, and cried out. Seeing Leo back in the assembly hall, she ran over to him with tears in her eyes, and quickly clung to him. "No! He's out to kill me!!! Get him away! Get him awaaaaaay!" She shrieked, terrified out of her mind.

He wasn't sure if he would be able to get cake or fruit, but the others would be easy enough. He already has most of it, and the rest would be good too.
When Leo finally did return, with a strange dog in tow as well, Marten gave him a wave. He looks down at the dog, leaning down quick enough to give it a pat. When Duo started to chase after Hirsch and Lilian, Marten couldn't contain a laugh at their expense. The absolute terror on Lilian's face was even better. He finally walks over to Lilian and Leo, patting Duo a few times and giving him a shooing motion. Stats:
