Never one to say no to a free thing, Lawrence extended his hand for the sweater. "I think I am still a little too cold." It didn't matter that Melvin's size was a little big for him, he didn't care. "I could use the sweater."
Rep laughed at Rodney. "Could hardly tell like that." But when the silly little hedgehog showed up, he took it seriously, summoning Tracey with a grim expression. "******** these guardians." he snarled. "They are always a lot worse than you think. Underestimate at your own ******** risk."
And as if to make a point, as he swung at the very small guardian he missed it entirely.
"SEE?" he snarled.

Melvin removed his jacket and then pulled his sweater up and over his head, placing it on Lawr's open palm before putting his coat back on. This left him with just one of his worn band t-shirts, but it did mean Lawr would be a little warmer.
Rep already called out that the guardian had shown up, but Melvin turned and saw - nothing. "What....guardian?" Didn't he say there would be a giant? He saw nothing moving, and tried very hard to look deeper into the corridor for any sign of what the Sun was getting ready for while he summoned Saliva.

Rodney crouched, peering around Lawrence. Seven stayed in his hands, and he clutched the chain tightly.
"Is it..haunted?" He asked. "Can you understand us? We could just...wrap it up, right? Like we practiced? Then we wouldn't have to...hurt it."

"Fast little s**t, isn't it?" Harrison asked, as it nimbly side-stepped Rep's axe.

The hedgehog-thing was fast, but so was Harrison, bolting to cover everybody from the sudden fury of tiny claws and teeth. It whirled around each member of the party in a buzzsaw of raw violence and unmitigated fury, its sharp little pottery teeth chattering away as it gnawed through shields.
"Get it. Get it!" Harrison implored.
Harrison got the worst of it, but the moment it launched itself at Rodney, the man curled up, barely behind his weapon or able to do much of anything. Harrison tried to get a grip on it, but it skittered back off into the shadows.
Harrison growled, giving Lawrence a steely promise, "I'll watch him."
He stayed poised for the next attack.

He had not expected the one rodent in the room to be the actual guardian. With the size and moss on it's back, it seemed more like a trapped creature and part of the backdrop then the focus of their battle. It did get his attention when Harrison jumped ahead and the tiny creature moved about like a zipping buzzsaw to tear at their shields.
Startled, he pointed towards the ground to try and lead the shot, but the running around, zig-zagging, and size was making it near impossible to follow.
"What the hell! I thought you said a GIANT!"
He fired Saliva, managing to nick it which was at least better than not at all.
"Someone kick it!"

The next time it came around, Rodney kept his head enough to hold out his chain, trying to trap it.
He had...limited success.
Which is to say, he had no success at all.
Harrison, as promised, launched the hedgehog off him this time.

Rep had ******** known the hedgehog was going to be a complete nightmare from the moment he saw it. Maybe in the past he'd have laughed and said it was just stupid and probably easy, but as he was now he knew you just couldn't take anything for granted. He snarled as the creature raked his shield and swinging Tracey in the tight space with both care and ferocity.
It was surprising how careful he'd learned to be with even such a large weapon and he managed to momentarily trap the creature and strike it with the hook.

Lawrence took the sweater and removing his jacket briefly, pulled it on, his hair still completely flattened by the water and with none of its usual careful styling, returning his jacket to its place he hugged himself and shivered again but this calmed itself with the warm jumper on as well. He nodded approvingly, not caring one bit that the sweater was too large for him.
There was something about the cave that seemed to keep his runic bandage charged longer than usual, the runes glowing fiercely when he checked it. Well, he supposed, he might as well do something so he he sauntered nervously over to Rodney (keeping clear of the massive axe) and gently and experimentally pressed the runic bandaid to the back of his neck.
"Does that help?" he said.

Rodney wasn't handling most of this very well, but the gentle touch from Lawrence was surprisingly cool, and left him with a tingle of energy.
"Y-yes. ...Thank you."
"Look," Harrison barked out, "Michaels, just do what you can defense-wise. Weiman, need my shield boosted some. Keep it up!"

"This is ******** annoying!" Melvin grumbled as he kept jerking Saliva in the wild pattern of the creature before stopping and waiting a moment for it to make its cross cross back across his sights. A gun wasn't bulky like a axe but it was a long range weapon and having a darting speck racing around you was not ideal.
"Would rather have a giant." He mumbled before firing.

Lawrence smiled at Rodney, actually enjoying the experience of helping people out. Next up was Harrison even if he didn't entirely agree with being bossed around.
He slunk over behind him and pressed a bandaid tenderly to the most forbidden butt on the island.

Rep swung again at the creature but was held back from his full ferocity by the Lawrence shaped distraction manhandling his husband.
