Varinia receives 3.5 dmg.Her next attack came in, and there was half-an-instance where Teslaron hesitated and waited to long. He took the full of her strike and cursed internally for the overconfidence that pushed him down this far. He wasn't done. He wouldn't lose. Not yet. But he was aching everywhere. Tired, and quickly losing interest in the fight as a whole. If he couldn't finish this soon, that really would be it for him, and that was worth far more frustration than he was willing to bear. With a soft huff and a determined grunt, he lurched forward, jabbing out with his knife as he dove past her blade remorselessly.

Varinia had managed to hit him one more time. But as she had thought, one more attack from him did her in. She knelt, one knee up, the other down to keep herself from falling over. Vari nodded to him, it was the most she could take without plainly going unconscious, she had to call it. "It was a good fight." She said genuinely. Although she had taken a lot of hits, she gave a few good ones too.
Vari pulled herself to her feet, using her spear as support. She gave him one final nod of respect before turning away and heading towards the exit. She only hoped she hadn't embarrassed Naevius too much.

When she dipped to the ground, Teslaron hesitated, taking a few quick steps back as he eyed her. He hadn't felt like this would ever end, but for now, it seemed like the Fire female had had enough.
He sucked in a deep breath, sighed, and relaxed. He still didn't like her and wouldn't admit to being very mildly impressed, but he did give her a minute nod back in silent agreement. He watched her stand and depart before slowly taking his own leave. Y'know, he thought he'd recognized a face or two in those cheering masses, and he'd had just about enough fight for this day.
