Eventually they would make it to a rather large forest with towering trees. Kara tilted her head back to look at it "The map said the Witch was located in the center of the forest," she said before skipping forward on the path "Let's go then!" she stated, sounding pretty excited.

Lily would just remain quiet as KAra would talk to Illo about her reasoning only to mention the map and where the witch would be, Lily would take out her map with the location marked "hmm....yea...based on how fast we got to the forest...it should take us around 5-10 minutes...best get it over with" she muttered before putting the map away following Kara as she skipped her way into the forest.

"Hmm..." Daniel remained thoughtful for a few minutes after Illo asked him why had he gone back to school. Then he smirked with a small fluster. "I suppose you could say I missed a cute little face. And this year may be my last chance to see her. After that I may or may not be able to see her again. Either she will go away or I will. You know how this job goes. One day you're here at Death city, next thing you know Mira puts you on a 4 year mission away on a Death forsaken place." He sighed, feeling a little embarrassed as he could feel the weight of the fluster growing on his cheeks. "What about you? what brought you to this place?" He was just asking when Kara gave her reasons for joining in the exchange program. While also warning about the Witch's wereabouts according to the map. Daniel nodded as he took a serious expression. Now that they were remarkably close to the witch's domain he would have to rely heavily on his soul perception. Not because of the witch since she would probably have soul protect, but to make sure he would react in time the moment a spell is sent on their way.
The forest. For many it is a symbol of ambiguity and confusion. For Illo, though, it was a place where often he found insight by searching his feelings; inside there was a place where the mind, now separated from the unessential worries, could find truth. He seemed not to hesitate at all to head into the woods.
"That's nice... A bit mysterious, but nice." To think of it in broader terms, Illo was beginning to wonder if this was Mira's doing. Certainly she didn't have the leverage to coordinate missions. ... Then again, it was so that Daniel was here solely to look after the monk.

"Ah this is gonna be so fun!" Kara stated as she continued skipping ahead of the group. Sure enough, after about eight minutes of walking, a huge thorned vince sped in front of Kara's face before disappearing back into the trees. Kara stood there with wide eyes and a very small cut on her noes. "Eh? W-What was that?" she stated, looking very confused. Ahead of them was a very small and worn down looking house covered in thorned vines that were now moving around, appearing more and more threatening in the process. Suddenly a large flower began growing from in front of the house and bloomed outwards, revealing a figure. The flower she appeared in withered away then as the figure stood there. "Ah? Is that a witch?" From the wavelength, one could tell she was a witch. The witch glared at them with her left eye before speaking "Leave now or I will kill you," she stated, getting right to the point with her hostile words. "I refuse to take part in whatever scheme you sorry excuses for humans have planned."

Daniel was about to reply at Illo when the thorn incident occurred. "Well mr. Monk, seems like things are getting faster. Let's just regroup." Daniel would quickly put himself between Kara and the witch, not in a hostile matter but with enough space to push Kara away from range should the situation would need for it. "It's alright Kara, just stay with the group, for now, let's just let Lily handle things." Daniel could understand the witch's hatred for humans to some degree, especially if they were members of the DMWA so, given Lily took a valid point by stating she was no human, then there was a chance that the witch would at least Listen to her before a fight might break through. Right now, his priority was to keep Kara within safety for as much as he could. Heck that vine was really fast, it actually passed through his perception field with ease, given Daniel didn't had enough time to react properly. Hopefully with this change of positioning, it would give him enough time to fix that previous flaw on their formation.
Meanwhile, Illo stayed with the luggage until needed, not wishing to be an encumbrance on the team; it was true that he didn't want to see Kara be harmed either, but it remained that if he were to get involved now it might very well turn out that way. Even worse was the prospect of what might happen if he lost control of his power--should he be able to locate them in the first place. Suffice to say, then that it was in the interest of all to keep Illo a stagnate figure for the moment, not only to keep himself from falling before reaching enlightenment.
... That seemed impossible, though. The monk had started to come to grips with this, and was working on changing his mindset ever since the other day when he toured Amara around the city to one accepting the idea of attaining Truth in another life. Conversation with the witch had already confirmed what he and his brothers had so long ago set as doctrine, and so it was a simple step--as he began practicing his warrior progressions (Yoga)--to assent to this life not, in fact, being the one in which the Iron Phoenix, the figure who held the secret to eliminating madness in all forms, would realise his destiny.
To be sure, Illo was not even able to sense the souls or otherworldly powers the others possessed. To him it was like a normal fight. Well, pre-fight talk, but still; not so much different from matches in the monastery, but there was a certain mystery to it all which entertained the monk despite his distanced viewing. He hadn't the chance to see what Lily or Daniel's souls were like, so this, he thought, would be a fun match to watch.

The witch didn't seem to acknowledge Lily and instead threw her hand outwards. A large bushes of thorns came to life and launched towards Daniel and Kara. Kara managed to jump a little to the side to avoid the thorns, releasing a small high pitched yelp of surprise in the process. "Ah! Well! I think we have to take her down, right?" she stated as she kept an eye on the witch who raised both her hands up. A thick branch of vines appeared in front of her and suddenly launched a barrage of thorn missiles at Lily, Kara, and Daniel.

Lily would wait for a response but would receive none, except for her attack at the others "oy, i'm warning you..." she told the witch before Lily would summon a handle from thin air "lets hope you live up to her expectation" she muttered as she would hold it as if it held a blade swinging it at the thorn missiles when she did a light came from the handle in a shape of a blade and with it she managed to defend herself from the thorns "Now you see why i hate Witches Daniel?"

Daniel was relieved to see Kara had descent reflexes, which bough him enough time to react as well. Barely missing the brances "Well it's not hard to understand why you do Lily, however, I also understand why witches hate us... uh... well DMWA in general. "
Rolling on the ground as he recovered his stance Daniel would resonate his soul, hoping to gain just a little more agility with this. Nothing fancy at the moment. "Seems to be the case Kara, at least if things continue like this. Just be careful and stay out of her range."
His eyes always on the target, he would have to support Lily from the back line if he wanted to keep a relative small but still better than nothing safe perimeter for Kara and ... Illo?
"Seems like time had changed our roles in battle eh Lily? It's kind of nostalgic."
Sure it wasn't the best time to bring memories from the past, but he couldn't help it. None the less this wouldn't mess with his focus. Daniel tried to anticipate the witch's next move. On the mean time. His soul was resonating, concentrating within his body, creating the flow of Cleansing wave.
Indeed they should attack, but Illo was not participating. ... Well, maybe a little. After a while of this the monk decided he could make himself at least somewhat useful by hanging back and clearing away the debris left by the enemy attack; sweeping away broken branches and vines and the varia of floral ammunition used by this rather colorful witch, and along the way whistling a jaunty little tune.

The witch continued to launch a barrage of thorn barbs at Lily, Kara, and Daniel. Kara kept making sure to jump out of the way of them "Ah? Don't worry! I took gymnastics at my school so I am pretty flexible!" Kara stated with a grin as she kept an eye on the witch who was glaring at her. "Back off!" The witch exclaimed. "Back off! Back off! Back off! Leave me alone!" A vine suddenly came to life and slammed into Kara, launching her into some shrubs nearby. Luckily there were no vines on it. It just kind of hurt. Kara managed to get up before pausing and staying low to the ground so the witch wouldn't see her as she was coming up with an idea.
