No. Absolutely not. She wasn't a gaming blogger, she was a makeup blogger. She didn't have time for this video game bullshit. Only now, life seemed like it was going to give her a crash course in all this... man what was that game. Memory?? Forgotten???

Anger seemingly pacified, Autumn patted Chris's arm fondly (man was she glad to have an end of the world pal), and once more gave him a reassuring smile.

"At least we found some people who know what they're doing, huh? Maybe that means we'll get out of here just fi- AMNESIA. THAT WAS THE NAME."

She cleared her throat.

"Sorry. I was trying to remember that scary game this s**t was reminding me of. That... PewdieCry guy played it. I watched a bit."

Chris maybe flinched a little at Autumn's sudden yell but it was fine like she said they had found people and it was going to be-

"Wait, okay, how is this anything like Amnesia? For one, we have our memories, for two, this isn't a dark hell dungeon. Just..." He paused, trying to give a name to what this was besides "otherworld".

"Helltown. Or something. And anyways, like that guy said, let's not think about horror games. We've already encountered whatever the hell the voice was."

He blinked for a second, and then threw out "I'm Chris, by the way. If you want a name to yell if I should run or duck or whatever."

Zac shivered at the words, he knew them well enough, he thought most people would if they heard the full quote. It was played up in enough movies, and in any fire and doom sermon that anyone might have heard or attended regularly.

“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, I herd as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four BEASTS saying ‘Come and See”…

He worried at his lip gazing upward, and around as though he might see something there besides the rain and they grey of the sky.

“If anyone sees any white horses, or people with Bows… well, normally I’d say RUN but I really don’t know where we’d go.” He admitted with a frown, ducking his head and lifting his shoulders in a vaguely turtle like gesture.

“Just…since I think most of us know that’s from the Book of Revelations.

He gave a cautious … if belated wave of greeting to Aleksy

Zac was given a look at the mentioning of horsepeople of the Apocalypse. Really. Not that he could say much after what they had found in the books of the library.

"Black eyes and bruised shins, I'd say so," he muttered to the other British man, resisting the urge to rub a hand across his face. It would just hurt. "At least I deserved the punch, I really should know better." Not like it was the first time Algie had punched him like that for being spooked.

Never mind looking around that aside from Leila, Algie and himself, they were ... really in a crowd of young people.

It was Algie getting a look this time at the mention of side-scrollers before he spoke. "If you want introductions," for Chris, "we can do them as we're walking to the park." Then, a moment later, because he was an officer still - badge visible on his hip (and that shoulder holster and gun a dead giveaway as well). "Detective Jeremiah Mercer."

With that in mind, he was definitely going to start walking towards the direction that Finn had pointed. Hopefully it would be helpful that even with the blossoming bruises, the detective did not look the slightest bit rattled to be here.

Zac was unperturbed by the look he got for finishing the quote from….whatever left them feeling like they needed to head towards the state park.
There was something eerily … historic and predestined about all this. Combine that with what they had seen in the books, which he at least wasn’t sharing - that…unlike bible verses wasn’t such common knowledge. But ‘it made me do it’ resonated a little too well with ‘Come and See’ and that guiding feeling like the town was a maze and they were mice.

Still… He’d work a little harder to keep his speculations to himself perhaps. More of a determined student of the way the world seemed to be…unveiling around him rather than a commentator.

“…. I’d love to look at those books a little more.” he admitted.
“Maybe after the Park…unless it bids us elsewhere too.” he added with a a side long glance at the bickering older men.

“Besides…it’s not so dramatic, its more that you have room for speculation. Some people feel its literal, some people feel its figurative. But it’s also a VERY common theme for people who want to be ominous in movies. The ultimate feel of revelations while, terrible is a bit like Dante… people remember the terrible bits but by comparison Heaven’s description isn’t as interesting. Most people just remember ‘inferno’ I think.”

As the group headed off towards the park, Autumn made certain her arm was wrapped firmly around Chris's, and tugged her new friend along firmly both for moral support and to keep the boy safe. They had numbers on their side now... which always helped, she could admit. Even if these damn people were crazy, just happily chatting about Otherwhere(???) wanted to show them something and was alive and was like a video game? Whatever. If this was a way out, Autumn was happy to follow whatever crazy was gonna get them out of there.

"We're with you. Just uh. Lead the way," She offered, falling back into silence and thought for lack of anything important to add.
