Bridal Party
"I know you ain't 'cause I'd kick yer a** f'you did," she said plainly. It wasn't the conversation she'd wanted to have.
Chel also rubbed her hands against her arms uncomfortably. "I just mean ... you know. Yer like the only family I got t'walk me down there but you kinda always been my only family. So yeah I gotta thank you."

The wedding dateAfter having been kicked out of the bridal suit so Chel could have a word with Chris, Gretchen had gone and found Jack as she'd been told, letting him know the bride was ready, and they could start at anytime. She'd have hung around longer, but there was a certain someone she'd invited along as her +1, and she was rather eager to see him. Or, eager for him to see her. Regardless, she went on the hunt for the handsome viking, weaving her way through the gathered folks milling about the house as they waited. Exchanging quick and simple greetings to those she knew as she passed them.

The wedding dateThere hadn't been any time for him to go shopping, and that meant that it had been more than a little difficult for him to get an outfit together. Isaac didn't have a whole lot of friends - and he certainly didn't have any friends who shared the same sort of physique. So he'd meticulously picked out the best pair of jeans he had (only slightly threadbare here and there), the nicest sweater he could find (a thick, cream cable-knit affair) and his favorite pair of sneakers. His hair was up, pulled out of his face, and he'd trimmed his beard. He waited.

The wedding dateHe wouldn't have to wait too long. Gretchen spotted him easy through the light crowd, tall as he was, shoulders as broad as his were. An instant smile touched along painted lips, and she pressed them together as she slid up behind him and lay her hands lightly on his hips. She knew the sort of clothing Isaac had in his closet, and she knew he hadn't had time to head on leave to get anything newer. That being said, he'd done a good job of putting together an outfit that would have been more than acceptable at the sort of casual-fancy shindig the wedding was turning to be. The clothing fit him well, all his clothing fit him well, and the color of the sweater brought out the darker shades of red in his hair and the deep chocolate of his eyes. "You clean up nice, Mr. Evenstad." She'd known he would, though in all honesty he could have been in his usual worn jeans and a t-shirt and Gretchen would have been just has happy for his company.

EntranceFinn ******** brought Oliver. "Thank you," Jack said, and nothing more. It was probably a blessing; otherwise he might have gotten sent away on some made up errand. Mildly surprised by the gift, Jack first shook Milo's hand and then delicately took the spiral, telling him thanks before stepping away to find somewhere to hang it where it wouldn't be disturbed by the guests. "Welcome, welcome!" Owain greeted them all jovially, pleased by both company and praise. "We are eternally grateful you made it." "Yeah, nice s**t ain' gettin' busted up fer once," Dawson piped up with a chuckle. "It's been quiet over here. Not that I'm complainin' r' nothin'." "Peace is a gift. It must always be appreciated when it comes, no matter how fleeting or lasting." The giant turned his head when he caught a motion from Jack. "Ah, but it seems we are ready to commence. If you will all follow me!"

Altar
It wasn't so much an altar as it was a designated area in the backyard: a dead tree set before the arranged chairs. (Though what they had carved in it, the audience wouldn't see, as it faced the other way.)
Jack struck a solemn figure despite the joyous occasion, though his stern features weren't as focused on general intimidation for once. He was never one to be nervous, but on this special day, he had cause to be, well, at least a little self-conscious; it was hard not to be when there was actually an audience. And he was doing this. They were ******** doing this.
But he was Jack ******** Hawthorn, and he wasn't going to look anything less than that.
Near him, Owain exuded pride like a sun, even taller now that he was able to stand without a hunch. The cool breeze tickled his leafy beard and hair, and he couldn't help but dig his toes into the dirt and sigh. This was a Good Day.
When he received the signal, the giant leaned over and gently tapped a button on the speaker. Music began to play.

Down the Aisle
She heard the soft melody of the wedding march play and gave Chris' side an elbow for luck. It occurred to Chel only when she was met with the stare of so many people that it was really happening. She really wished they'd turn around and look at Jack because while Chel wasn't nervous, she disliked being the center of attention in such a way. The only thing keeping her from marching down the aisle as quickly as possible was Chris anchored on her arm keeping pace.
If anything, Chel looked ... decent in her dress, pretty but pieced together. Her bouquet was equally simple, but white roses went nicely with anything, including the hawthorn flowers tucked into her hair. It wasn't a decadent, opulent wedding but rather one thrown together on a tight hunter's budget. Yet beauty wasn't the point in Chel's mind; she would have preferred jeans and a t-shirt in Vegas done quick. All that really mattered was that it happened.
Her eyes finally found Jack and Owain (the latter being handsome as always) and in a rather cliche way her mouth curled into a smile. She couldn't cry in front of so many people, but true to form she could be a blushing bride. They were doing this.
Once Chris had let go she reached across the space to take Jack's hand. It felt a little goofy to be "given away" by her cousin (when in reality nobody was "taking" her), but formality stood and like Jack had said, hunters needed some semblance of normality in their lives.
She gave Jack's hand a squeeze before turning to Jason and giving a very formal thumbs up. [ Just letting everyone know it's still totally okay to respond to drabbles from earlier~ ]

Down the AisleEven if this wasn't the grandest of weddings, Jason thought it held it's own special charm. Because what mattered the most was the meaning behind it, the announcement of two people's love, joining together in sweet matrimony. Chel looked beautiful in her dress, the ever boisterous hunter reduced to smiles and blushes. It was adorable. Perhaps one day he would see this scene again, except playing the part of a groom instead, and someone else wearing the beautiful bridal dress.. There was a brief moments panic when Chel gave him the thumbs up, realizing oh s**t he had to say things now, but he heard the amused chuckle in his mind, Zanth's whispered words reminding him of what to say. "Today we are all gathered here to celebrate the union of one Chel Craft and one Jack Hawthorn, two beings whom have shown great courage by their actions here today. For as we all face great peril in our lives, these two have fought the odds time and time again, and now come together to show that beyond all the hardship they have endured, they are still able to show they are human; by expressing their love for one another."

Alter
Finn was there. He might not have been well seen as most attention was likely on Jack, the giant tree man, and the blushing bride, but he was most definitely there, where the best man was supposed to be.

Entrance"You'd look great," Max replied, prompt, sincere, and well trained. It was only after the words Monica would have expected had left him that he truly thought about what Diana had said. "You've had dresses before though, right? Just not a fancy one here, for this?"He didn't have anything nice enough to wear to a wedding yet either. Or a gift. Whoops. Down the AisleAt Owain's prompting, Max briefly put a hand on Diana's shoulder before moving through to the backyard, eyeing a pair of empty seats in the middle of the pack. He didn't have long to wonder if there were justices of the peace or whatever on this island before the bride appeared and his mind was swarmed with a jumble of questions, courtesy of his weapon. Vowing to answer them later, while he was kept awake by the eerie silence of his basement room, he flashed Diana a small, companionable smile and gave the hunter up front his attention. The priest was a kid. Max exhaled through his nose in what might have been termed a dad sigh. They were all kids.

Entrance"You didn't say there was going to be a ******** tree here, Dawson," he hissed, looking uncommonly twitchy. Horace kept his eyes on the thing, just so he could avoid it all the more skillfully. His normal instinct to joke and his intent to ask Jack how many goats he'd paid for Chel faded. medigel late, just pretend he followed daws around sorry

EntranceThank you," she smiled, completely oblivious to his trained answer. "But no. I have never owned a dress before. I thought about stealing one once to look pretty, but they are very hard to steal. Especially the bulky ones. So I had to pass and go without a majestic dress. Anyways this is the first occasion I've been to that would have been fancy enough for a dress."Down the AisleDiana patted Max's hand gently, barely catching his sigh as she bounced a bit in her chair. She didn't care who was the priest or really about anything technical about the wedding. She was simply pleased that Chel was happy and having a good time. It was good to see that even with all the hunter hardships people could still fall in love and get married. She wanted to shout congrats to them both, but then the little priest boy started his speech. Probably wouldn't be the best of times to shout.

Entrance
Milo's arrival immediately made the mist hunter relax and she reached over to tug on his shirt. "A gift! I didn't even-" She looked at jack and then back to the gift and regretted not bringing something. Perhaps she could ask later....
But for now, it looked like it was going to start and she habitually fell into step with the taller sun hunter, boldly but still timidly taking his hand instead of dragging him in with his hugging form.
"It's starting!" She smiled at him. "Thank you..Ow..Owain!"
Down the Aisle
Noemi was sniffling a little cause....Cause Chelsea was getting married. SO MUCH HAPPINESS. She was standing next to Milo with her hand tucked in his still, and wondering if she would ever be able to reach that level? Marriage? Perhaps not, but the happiness? She hoped so.

Entrance"Dude, how the hell would I know one would show up?" Dawson asked, baffled by the reaction. "You got somethin' against 'em?" He was ready to lead Horace out early to take their seats. - - - Down the AisleAnd speaking of. Daws was rather giddy once everyone had assembled and the music began, craning his head to catch sight of not only the bride but his best friend (whom he passed a thumbs up to) and the girls with her. Even though everything was on a threadbare budget, they really did a great job. Beaming, he got his phone out and began to record.
