My teachers are teaching multiple classes. Soooo is there anyway we can figure out times? I know in another rp I'm in they do 3 days to each class period. So maybe we can do something like that? Before switching to the next class? I don't know xD. There are a lot of classes.

If you want i can figure that out so no students classes clash?

Hey there, Rabbit,

Thanks for the thoughts! May I ask what concerns you have with having teachers teach all their classes concurrently (such that each class is in its own time bubble)?

      It's what we're letting the students do, so that they don't have to wait to post or be restricted to a semi-arbitrary window of real-life time, and we think it'd be feasible for teachers, too. For example, we'd hate to make people who don't have a class slated for the current rp time have to wait until their real-time slot comes. Or, for slower threads to get cut off half way (imagine only having taken roll!) and/or have to rush through what could be really good rp material. Scheduling things and making sure they line up with real-world time also seems complex, highly restrictive (especially since we've heard a few comments about things going a bit too speedy as is), and a lot to remember/maintain.

      The nice thing about this method is that each class can more or less go at its own pace, which is especially appealing given how we have people of many varying posting speeds here. If someone thinks a class is going too slow, there's likely going to be another thread they can post to while they wait for responses.

We do think it's a good idea to let teachers have control over their thread's timing, however, so that classes won't start until the teacher for that class posts; then, people playing lots of teachers/classes don't have to feel overwhelmed with posting for everything all at once. An additional bonus--letting teachers specify when their class is happening (early/late morning, afternoon, etc.) will likely enhance the rp experience (e.g. having/needing coffee in the morning, having pre/post-lunch discussions, etc.). Do you think that would help at all? Or, was there something else troubling you?

As always, let us know what'cha think, as we strive to make things enjoyable for all!

I don't know. I'm just still confused on how this is going to work. Are we posting our charries more than once then in the different class threads then? Though it be fine since it is different times? Also the last thing with needing coffee in the morning, etc helps to haha.The main thing troubling me is the clashes that might happen with characters. I don't know haha. Could I get an example of posts. Maybe that would help.

      Yes, we will be posting as our characters in all of their respective classes at the same time to get it out of the way. Because we have so many classes and students taking a variety of them (without the same set) it would be confusing if we were to make up a schedule without cutting down the classes into just the main core ones (because college just doesn't work that way, for one).

      Each day in the roleplay, we'll give the characters some time to roleplay out in their classes. We understand that not all threads (classes) will have active people in some so while you are waiting for someone else to post in one class, you can go ahead and have your character post in another. Does this make a bit more sense?

      Clashing is going to become a bit of a routine because, like I had typed earlier, we have so many classes and not just a set schedule. For now, we'll just have to adapt. If we end up making changes to the number of classes/teachers/students later then that answer will arrive. We're going to be trying out this method at the moment.

      Basically, (if you're wondering where to start) for your teachers, you may have them post in their classroom (seeing as how the class won't start without the teacher). If you would like, feel free to quote the users with students in your class to inform them that class has started.

      If you have a student, I'd wait until the teacher of the class that they attend has posted in their thread before showing up. Like most college classes, the classroom is locked until the instructor (at the beginning of the day) gets there. Take Tomoka, for example. You can go ahead and post for her leaving her dorm, or whatever. Then wait until your professor/teacher has posted to indicate that they are ready to reply to the thread. If they've posted (even in more than one) go ahead and post for all of them. We'll know that this is happening all at the same time but in roleplay world, it's as if they are running their own schedules. Capiche?

      Another reason why we aren't doing time-frames (for now) is, like Paper had stated, we've been getting complaints about our posting speeds. With people starting jobs, they aren't able to get on as much as people with flexible schedules like you and I so if we make a time skip to another class (and end the class that we're "bored in") then it won't give them a chance to post in that class if they had a plot that they've been wanting to do.

      If all else fails and you don't think that you will be able to handle posting at the same time for all of your classes/characters, I honestly would suggest dropping some. While roleplaying in some situations is fun, we don't want to put so much pressure on any of our users that it feels like another job. Most of us have jobs already (I know I do which is why Tatsuya is just a janitor. HAHAHA. LAZINESS.).

      If you're still having trouble understanding that's my bad because I suck at explaining things. HAHAHAHA.

Made a bit more sense yes. I'll finish up some posts for characters for now though (such as tomo and her going to be in her dorm). I at least finished setting up the classes haha.

I'm trying to do plotting for charries now but I might pause on that as well and go ahead and post in a class tomorrow. I'll review more of what I need to do tomorrow. It isn't really like a job, it's fun to me. It gives me something to do because I don't have a job...Cause...I got fired technically(I quit but they were trying to make me HUR ANYWAY). Job searching. Exams coming up. Last week for online class. ANyway this turned out longer than I thought it would LOL. But yea I gotchu

Hey there,

I noticed you put up the Creative Writing thread without having registered your teacher for the class. Could you submit a request in the Teacher’s Class Registration thread first? It's an extra step, but it's how we approve and keep track of who officially has what. =)

Thanks!

So, um, this isn't really a question but I wanted to let someone know that I'll be MIA for the weekend. So Faith, Xina, Antoinette, The Kazuto clan and my two siblings will be too. XD

I'll be able to post on Sunday, super late Sunday for that fact, but I'll be back then. I have all my people updated for now, except Kirito but I'll get his class up first thing! sweatdrop

Thankies. And I'll be off to ski. heart

Thanks for the note, Kiyoko! Hopefully you and Faith, Xina, Antoinette?! had a fun time skiing?

Don't kill yourself posting right after coming back if you need some time to recover; I know I'm usually bushed after shredding the slopes for a day. =)

Also, I hope you don't mind that I'm waiting a little bit longer for students to post in Leon's class before progressing. I do appreciate the post, though!

Hey there!

As announced, there are a few dorm room conflicts we're hoping to straighten out, whether it be by having people re-pick their dorms or by officially confirming them as roommates.

Dorm Rooms in question:

#1. Chestnut 107, currently claimed by:

#2. Cherry 105, currently claimed by:

Not sure if you guys want to all agree to be roommates, or if those who haven't put their threads up want to change room numbers? Please discuss amongst yourselves and let me know what you end up deciding!

I just need to find an image for Xaviers side/room, I've already agreed with Sheirin that Victoria and Xavier are dormmates. Sorry for the confusion!

No problem-o! Thanks for the super quick updates, which should now be reflected on the 'sheets. =)

~~~
Now, we're just waiting to hear if...
...is interested in requesting roommate-ship as well (for Chestnut 107), or if they'll be okay switching numbers. Let me know when you get the chance, Snuggle!
