Crispin just wanted to blast through the last of his classes, he'd put off his studies for long enough. The young grimm hadn't grown as rapidly as his twin, he was nearly a whole shoulder and head taller than him, much to the white wolf boys dismay. For now that thought went on hold as he entered the class room, noticing how the chairs had all been gathered into a circle. Scurrying forward, Crispin crawled into his selected seat and settled down as his tail swished beside his leg occasionally. He listened to what their assignment would be, or rather the topic of today's discussion. A smile lined the boys face as he listened to the first two talk about plants, and sharing there input. He had a considering look on his face, his brows wrinkled up some as his tail swayed back and forth as he thought about how to answer. Crispin scooted forward in his chair and sat up when it was his turn. "I know trees are also really important! They help us breathe, and aren't like us or animals since they take in what we breath out." He huffed and puffed a bit as if to make a point before looking rather sheepish. " I don't remember what it was...oxygin? It was something like that!" He added as his floppy ear tried it's best to raise like his other alert ear. "I really like douglas fir trees, they smell wonderful and really piney!" He grinned then, shrugging his shoulders some at his reasoning. He then began rubbing the back of his head just a bit before he plopped himself back in his seat to let some other kid speak. Hopefully that answer had been sufficient, he felt pretty good about it anyway.

Joselyn didn't know too much about plants. It seemed to her that she didn't really have much in the way of interests at all. It worried her a little at times that she could retain interesting facts about people, places and things, but never actually be interested in them. "My favourite fact about plants is that they use photosynthesis in order to produce their nutrients. And that clorophyll is the reason why their leaves are so green. I'm not entirely sure what that is, but it's still really fascinating to know that this is what makes their colour so vivid! I also really like cacti."

Matilda had a really great time in her plant unit, going through books on flowers, trees, and the things they produced like seeds and fruit. She was sad to see it go, and would miss all of the fun interesting activities. "My favorite plant fact is that no species of wild plant produces a flower or blossom that is absolutely black, and my favorite plant is baby's breath!" The little fluffy hybrid was glad she got to share, and planned on sticking her little tulip drawing on her wall in her dorm when the unit was officially wrapped up.

Dianthe enjoyed the plant unit alright, partaking in the study of chlorophyll and the different types of plants. It was more fun than she thought plants could be, at least. The little Litch wondered what kind of plants grew Above, what with all of the sunlight up there. "The most interesting thing I learned was that a notch in a tree will remain the same distance from the ground as the tree grows, and my favorite plant is a lotus."As much as she disliked seeing the plant unit go, she was excited about learning another subject in science.

Rose liked astronomy, even though she was practically blind in the dark. She received her assignment, studied her textbook, then filled in the blanks and handed it in. Pleased with herself, she returned to her seat and flipped open a magazine.

Geyser Eelborn I swapped out Gale for Rhys! Plants? Why did they gotta talk about plants? Rhys didn't really know anything about plants. His mom had one once. Once. Rhys had manhandled the poor thing and sliced it up with his sharp claws, and when he giggled instead of feeling sorry and apologetic, his mom got very cross with him. "Uh ... I don't really care about plants. I mean. I like trees! Does that count? Cuz if so, I love climbing trees! Especially those ones that have a lot of thick branches so you can climb all the way to the top before jumping off! I love trees ... my favourite fact about trees is that you can climb them, and that they need to have their roots in the ground to grow. It's why I stick in my head in the ground sometimes too."

Malachi had settled into class, eager to learn more. He loved science class. As the substitute began the lesson, he had pencil and paper out, taking notes and such. It was certainly an interesting topic! When the lesson came to a close and they were given their assignment, he got ready for Hailey to scoot her desk like she always did so they could work together.

The moment Hailey heard the word 'worksheet', she moved her desk right next to Malachi's. Grinning widely, she took out her pen, scissors, and glue so they could get started. Once they finished working everything out together, some debating included, they both signed their names and Hailey took their papers up to turn them in.

The chimera dutifully took down notes as she paid attention to the substitute. Stars were beautiful and fascinating in their own rights but she paid attention because it was expected of her. Truthfully, Mytrax would be completely alright to leave the in-depth studies to those sincerely interested in astronomy.

Oh man plants! It really had been a run time discussing them in class. She didn't have a personal interest in them, but they were necessary for life in the Below! Without plants, they literally couldn't survive! "My favorite fact about plants is that they create oxygen! And we need oxygen to live." She nodded her head very matter of factly. Her tails swished around behind her as she tried to think about what her favorite plant was. It had to be a type of flower...
"I think tulips are really cute!" Who didn't love cute flowers? She adored them! They made cute decorations for inside as well as outside!

Conley loved his science class, but he was glad they were finally moving on from discussing plants. It had felt like they'd been talking about them for forever! He was definitely a science buff, who didn't want to know how the world around them worked? But well, he had learned an awful lot about plants so far and not about other things. He was quite ready for this discussion to be a close on their plants chapter.
"I think it's cool that plants make their own food! Well, most of them do anyway! My favorite plant...would have to be the venus flytrap! Because in a way, it hunts for it's own food! That's pretty cool." Conley folded his arms in front of himself and gave a little nod of his had. That's right, act cool so no one knows how dweeby you are.

Odessa wasn't entirely sure she had all the correct answers for the assignment, but she did the best she could. She let out a breath and walked toward the front of the room, handing in her paper. She almost felt like all the eyes in the room were on her, she shuttered a little and slipped back into her seat, hoping she had done better than she thought she did.

It had already been a long day since she had spent the majority of her night studying and she couldn't help but feel a little tired today. Despite that, she did her best on the paper. She pushed her seat back and walked toward the front with her paper in hand. She smiled softly before moving back to her desk.

Liath listened to all the freshlings present before him, when it was his turn he simply shrugged, he didn't really care about plants. It's not like they did anything cool. It seemed a lot of kids really liked flowers, not Liath. They smelled alright, but they weren't THAT cool. When all eyes were on him he stated, "Uh, my favorite thing that I learned about plants is that over 20,000 of them are edible. That's pretty cool, though most of them probably don't taste very good. Not without hot sauce anyway..." He really had to think hard about what his favorite plant was, "Potatoes, because... well I love them. Though the plant part them selves are kinda boring, and don't taste yummy. "He shook his finger on the last three words as if giving a warning. He remembered being told this when he was really little, that eating the plant above ground would make you sick.

Saerun waited her turn, nervously keeping her gaze locked on the ground. She didn't really want to speak - but would the substitute know sign language? When it was finally her turn, she decided she would go ahead and sign and just write everything down for later - she'd already managed to bite her lip once today and wasn't exactly keen on doing it again.
I liked learning about how plants eat... with the roots and stuff. And... She paused, trying to remember how to spell the word but... ah well, she tried her best anyway, fotosinthesis. My favorite plant is a snap dragon because they're really pretty to look at.
Hopefully that was okay... Since she was done, she went ahead and wrote everything she'd just signed down to hand into the teacher after class.
