Yasei flicked his tail as he trotted next to the larger stallion. Sebastian huh? "Well thanks for letting me join your group earlier! I wouldn't have known which way to go otherwise." he grinned up at the stallion and then looked over at Ali was had been apologizing to him. For all the help that the stallion had been providing he didn't seem all that happy to have them, or rather anyone around. He frowned a bit realizing that they were probably more of a nuisance to him than anything but right now none of that would matter if they were all dead, burnt to a crisp by the fire. "Oh I'm sure it's okay Ali! After all, we're all running from a fire that could wipe everything out. I'm sure Sebastian will let it go." He grinned.

Ali tilted her head some and looked back over to Yasei. The larger stallion Sebastian didn't seem to hear her apology but also didn't seem happy about having to share his name with them. Maybe he was one of those Usdia haters? But it was Yasei that grabbed her attention. He was right, what happened most right not was surviving and if this stallion knew how to get them there then she would follow him. Even if he hated their kind. He was at least not leaving them behind to die. With that she darted under the large stallion and came up on Yasei's other side so that she could be closer to him. He would at least look out for her. Her thoughts drifted back off to her mate and daughter.

Neriah looked up at the mare and when she realized she was getting a funny look she twitched her ears. "I walk for a living. Standing still makes me feel weird." She nodded to the mare at the mention of adjusting her scarf. "Oh that's a great idea." She nodded, the small mare looked over herself and could barely see the yellow of her pelt anymore. Man that was some thick smoke. "Okay, I think that as we make our way away from the fire and toward the lake, we should skirt along it for any stragglers or anyone that got stuck. I'm sure with the stampedes running I can see trampling happening. Mass hysteria is very dangerous." She frowned as she looked into the forest. "Ready?"

Sapphireia looked up at the stallion as he put his full attention on her. She cheeks started to feel warm from everything, sure crowds when she sang were one thing but this... She needed a field just to herself, it was very overwhelming. "My mother... She would have come here looking for me. But with all the larger horses here I can't see anything and it is too hard for me to get around to look for her." She frowned as she got herself back to her hooves and straightened herself out. "But no, I'm not hurt. Just feeling a bit flustered with all of this. I came here when I saw the smoke, but I didn't think so many others would come to his particular lake either."

Sebastian raised a brow at the small brown stallion. "Well just because I don't like company doesn't mean I'm going to leave someone who might need help to fend for themselves..." He thought for a moment. Did he really put off such an unpleasant vibe? The stallion watched the little pink mare carefully as she went beneath him, careful not to step on her or trip. "I'm just used to being alone."

Ensuring the scarf was adjusted well enough on her face that it wouldn't come loose unexpectedly, Jay thought. She, too, walked quite a bit, but she still enjoyed taking breaks and relaxing. Perhaps the little mare had the right idea, though. In the short time they had been stopped, the unicorn's legs began to ache and scream for mercy. Not wanting to show any weakness, she nodded to the saddled usdia. The more time she took, the more individuals in need of help may be in danger. She took a deep breath through her soft scarf, more worried about the small usdia being trampled than herself. She headed out first, now growing a sense of protection for the strong willed little mare.

While some Soquili were larger than herself, Kaska had no issues pushing through the majority of the crowd, knocking over Usdia and nudging aside familiars. Suddenly, though, she met a mare who wouldn't be moved. She recognized her as the unicorn that had been screaming at the wind when she first arrived, disgruntled that people were on 'her' land and using 'her' water. Impatiently, she pushed her shoulder against the mare again, but she stood her ground. The hybrid rolled her eyes. "If you haven't noticed, I'm trying to get by you here." She snorted angrily, her upper lip curling to reveal a set of hefty fangs. At this point she didn't mind starting an altercation. She hadn't gotten what she had come for, and her presence should be well known soon enough.

The kind wind stallion nodded with understanding. "Well, this is one of the smaller lakes around, but my grandmother is known for taking in those in need. Most likely, many of those here have heard of her kindness and will need sanctuary after the fire has passed. Many homes have been lost already, and it seems as if many more will be soon." He frowned a little. "And others, such as yourself, have come just by happenstance. A smart move, no doubt. Safer to come to the closest body of water, no matter how small, than to risk travelling farther and getting caught in the blaze." Nodding, he nosed at the Usdia. "Now, if you would like, you can stick with me, and tell me what your mother looks like and if I see her I will let you know. I'll be roaming through this entire crowd to help those who may need it, so there's a good chance that if she's here, I'll notice."

The smaller brown stallion glanced up at the bright colored blue and purple one. He had a small deer in his long yellow braid. Yasei realized that Sebastian must have picked up on Ali's tone or maybe the way they were surveying him. It was sad that for a lot of Usdia, that their full sized counter parts, were seen as possible threats. Sebastian could really be an upstanding fellow for all they knew but the Usdia were almost programmed be standoffish about it.
"Oh look there!" Yasai called out as they ran. The far end of the lake was coming into view along with many, many other horses. Everyone in the area much have come to this lake.

The short pink mare's shouler bumped into Yasei's as they scuttled toward the lake. She had let her mind wander. Rotom had taken off to find Sapph and hopefully he had made it to her by now. If Sapph had seen the smoke she would know enough to seek safety. Ali heaved out a breath and looked up at the larger stallion. "Being alone?" She questioned to herself. Oh, that would explain it. Sebastian did not socialize must and that's was the strange standoffish vibe that she was getting from him.
But just as she was finishing that thought Yasei's announcement about the lake come into view made her feel so much better. "Oh wow, look at all those other horses. Hopefully we can all fit into the lake."

The insect pelted mare watched as the unicorn took the lead. It was better that way, she could undoubtly run faster then she could. But Neriah had to admit, this mare had some stones. She had a strong flight instinct like anyone would when there was danger but her will to help has overridden it.
Beads of sweat started to roll down her forehead as she galloped after the other mare. Thankfully she had an unnatural pelt so it was easy to spot her ahead. She kept her eyes and ears open stopping every so often to listen for cries of help. She made a few vocal calls herself asking if there was anyone out there. She darted around tries and bushing looking for anyone that needed them.

The brightly colored Usdia bit her lower lip as she listened to the taller stallion. She never spent much time in this area so she didn't know how his grandmother was but she knew her parents had settled nearby. But it was a fair assessment that many would come to someone who had helped them in the past.
With the nudge from the stallion she let her star struck eyes focus on him and she let out a deep breath. "Okay, that sounds good to me." She give him one of her winning smiles. "Well she's an Usdia, like me, but she's pink, a softer shade for her body and then darker for her hair. She has pokeball hair clips and a silver small crown. She might be with my father, her mate, he's Orange and see through with a little blue edging."
