Binhdi had been expecting and hoping for sugary goodness at the first house. She'd been sorely disappointed. After knocking and rolling out the usual spiel, the hippie'd out Fallen who'd answered had instead lectured her for a good ten minutes about proper diet before dropping a box of raisins into her buckets. The tall imp had been as gracious as she could under the circumstances, but as she slogged glumly from the house, she couldn't help but feel her interest pricked by the sight of the cutest little orange vespercat plush. Looking around for the kid who might've dropped such a thing and seeing nothing, Binhdi decided that it was hers now. Picking it up, she tucked it gently into her bucket.
Kappa had taken a break from helping Alice today and joined the celebrations. He didn't dress up, primarily because he had been too distracted with helping Alice dress up for the evening. He had been a bit disappointed when Claus relieved him of nanny duties, but once he entered the fairgrounds his chest swelled. This was what he remembered. This was a nostalgic moment for him, and the junior forgot his previous disappointment quickly.

Staring back at him was a strange, mutated turnip. A shrill scream left him as he threw the turnip violently away, scrambling off the porch and colliding into a caretaker nearby. His scream must have evoked sympathy, as they dropped a plushie in his pail and ruffled his hair before leaving.

Where had Lior gone off to anyways? Nimbus had lost sight of him when he had stopped to pick up a cute little paper ghost he saw sitting all alone. Someone even tossed a plushie at him when he was looking for his friend. Not what he was after but he puts it in his basket anyways.
“Lior! There you are.” Coming around a corner he had finally spotted the demon, having his name called did help turn him in the right direction at least.
“Sorry, I lost sight of you when I turned around. Well hmm. Here. Is this alright?” He had hooked his arm with Lior’s. Not really planning to lead him around but it would keep them close together even if he got distracted by other things again. “This way we don’t get separated in the crowd yes? Ah hmm. Any candy in particular you are wanting? I can try and spot who might be giving it out so we can get some.”
Gilby had watched momma carefully when she'd gone up to the house and gotten the pretty treat. And as she led them to the next house, the little hybrid was determined to make their mommies proud. Marching determinedly to the door, they knocked carefully and held out a pumpkin bucket that was almost as big as they were.
"Twick 'r tweat," they lisped proudly. Apparently the grimm lady who answered was proud too because she gave them the funniest little ghost before pausing and smiling.
"Such a good little trick or treater deserves a little something, extra, i think. Here you are, dearie."
And into Gilby's bucket went a cute bat plushie. And before either of their mommas could remind them, Gilby smiled up winningly and said, "T'ank you very much!"
They were further rewarded by a gentle pat on the head before the lady went back inside. Why, trick or treating was easy! Gilby was sure that they would end up with lots of nice things once the night was done.
As she arrived at the festival area, Miela toyed with her costume anxiously. Though she was excited, this would be her first trip to the Haunted Hallows gathering. She was definitely looking forward to getting lots of candy and toys, but hoped that nothing bad would happen. What if she got nothing but useless junk, or the tricks that others had mentioned? She had to be optimistic! Besides, she looked so good dressed up as Eleusinia with a thick garland of fake flowers around her neck. She wished she'd been able to use real ones, but her guardian had insisted they would smell too strong and give her a headache. Plus, wilting flowers were definitely not cute.
As she approached the first booth and held her chosen bucket out for candy, she pasted on her brightest smile in hopes of getting something good. The booth attendant randomly selected a prize for her, dropping it into her pumpkin-shaped pail with a friendly smile. As she wandered away, Miela noticed that what she'd gotten was in fact candy, but upon unwrapping one they turned out to be wildly out of date. She frowned as she continued on, determined to get something good out of the night.

Odessa was still rather unsure of herself. She was new, and hadn't fully integrated herself into the Academy quite yet. However, Halloween was her favorite time of the year and she couldn't miss out! "Ummm... is anyone around... Am I allowed to just.. take one?" She glanced around for anyone in sight, but with no one around, she guessed the cute little buckets were fair game.
Upon cautiously picking it up, she heard a thunk and glanced upward, seeing an older student just smiling at her. Odessa blinked and looked inside, noticing a cute little ghost. "I... thank you!" She held the basket close, nodding gratefully before venturing out with her new little gift.
Litla wasn't here for candy. She wasn't here for friends. No. She was here to see a real live ghost. Today was the day of the undead! She'd, finally, witness a ghost, right?! She had to! She must! Maybe if she wandered around like everyone else she'd spot an undead?
OH! THERE WAS ONE! No. That was a costume. OO OO, A ZOMBIE! Another costume!
She frowned as she twirled a pail in her claws, ears flattening against her head. So many people pretending to be undead! This wasn't hel- did someone just throw gum into her pail? Well... thanks?

Eques was only out for a little amount of time. He had been on the roof when he spotted the glowing lights within the village. Ah, this would only happen once a year, and he'd regret it later down the line if he passed up the chance to get free candy. That, or he'd regret not being "normal" and playing like everyone else. So, he had moseyed on down to the festival, lacking a costume, and grabbed a pail. He wasn't about to trick-or-treat. He, unlike others, felt like he was both underdressed and too old. He did participate in the booths, and was immediately given stale popcorn.
Well, at least it wasn't that turnip.

So this was the festival? The festival she was told, by Kirket, to attend? What was so glorious about this? Okay, costumes. Candy. Familiars. Alright, she could see the appeal. She wasn't sure why Kirket was so demanding, but okay. That, and the kids looked happy. A tiny smile crossed her features. Good. Maybe this festival wasn't pointless, after all?
She headed to the nearest booth, picking up a dart and aiming for the nearby balloons. She had five darts, five chances, and she didn't hit a single balloon. Well. Alright then. She was about to leave when the booth runner grabbed her hand, frantically shoving cotton candy into it.
"No no, Headmistress! Take this!" What? She wasn't given a chance to begin questioning their unethical way of handing out prizes, as the person nervously ran back to attend to their booth. Well... it was free, so why not?

Chi was dressed up as a princess! That's right, a pink, glittery princess. Why? Because it was cute, thank you! None of this spooky ghost costumes or vampires, or any of that! She was born to be adorable.
Last year, she had walked away from the festival with plenty of familiars. This year, she hoped to continue the tradition! That, or come home with a billion plushies. So, the first thing she headed for was a game specifically handing out plushies! She lost, of course (as was her luck), but she was still handed a plushie, as well as... raisins? Oh! Who was she to complain? She had a plush!

Deskri had only come because Tengu had requested it. Well, not really requested so much as offered to let him come along, which Deskri in turn interpreted as being asked to come. It had been a while since he'd been by the Academy... He followed Tengu along like a shadow, and absently grabbed one of the pails they were supposed to be using. This one had... something in it. Eugh. He stared at the disturbing turnip just long enough to not realize Tengu had tried to find whoever had left something in his bucket.
"Tengu. It's yours now. Don't worry about it." He nodded a bit and rejoined him at his side. "What do you want to do."
Haunted Hallows~! A wonderful time of the year. Corben truly enjoyed seeing the children out and about, trick-or-treating, laughing, having fun... He'd carried along a few goodies himself to hand out if anyone wanted one. Of course, they'd have to recognize him, though! He was dressed as a sunflower! A very good sunflower if he did say so himself.
He strolled along the games until one caught his attention... oooh boy! A ring toss! He went ahead and gave it a whirl and ended up with some candy and a nezubat plush. He'd have to save that.... He could find a use for it~
Kirket had indeed insisted that Miss Ava get some relaxation time at the festival. It would do her some good! She'd had a very stressful time with the visitors showing up out of the blue, so of course she could use some relaxation time.
Kirket himself just wanted to relax and see the students having fun. He'd decided to dress up in a little bear costume, he figured teddybears would be approachable for any kids that might need help. As he looked over the gathering crowd he spotted Ava, and promptly scuttled over. "Good evening!" He waved, though paused when someone stuck a little ghost into his pail.... but they were gone before he could say anything. Whoops. He turned his attention back to Ava. "How are you?"
Fakir was not dressed up today. He is a famous pop star, just existing is beautiful enough. Why dress himself up when he already was perfect? So, flaunting himself (with much hair tossing and a raised head), he headed to the pail station, grabbed one, and stormed off to the first house he could find. Lerin had gotten the job of going out trick or treating with Frost and when she had been distracted by someone and of course Frostbite had darted a head. Was she this flighty when she was a little kid. She must have given hell to her parents. Still Frostbite seemed happy with his treat and oh… was that a fox. Mmm why did she have a feeling she was about to receive the largest puppy eyes ever…. It would be good for him to have a companion when he went out running they always couldn’t come with him. However it was a bit bigger than she would have liked...
"Frost don't run ahead okay, some one could grab you." She was so distracted she missed the flying paper doll until it hit her wing, ah well it would be cute to hang up in the house.
Ezra had been very sure to make sure to study up on Haunted Hallows before hand to make sure nothing took him by surprise, or well, as little as possible. Seeing as so much seemed to be up to chance there were bound to be SOME surprises, but seeing as he was expecting said surprises he was sure he could handle them. He was dressed as a...well he wasn't quite sure himself. It started out as a scarecrow but the straw made him itchy shoved around his wrists and neck and other such places, so perhaps a farmer with a straw hat?
His ears were perked up with great interest in all the sites and sounds of this lively festival and he honestly wasn't sure where to start, so he scampered off into the treat bucket line and waited like a good freshling for his turn to pick out one, finally asking for the pale purple one when it was his turn to choose. Now to choose a game.
As he thought about where he wanted to go first, a THUNK sounded in his pail. Curious, he looked down to see a...rock? That was one of those trick things, right? Oh, but it looked like his bucket had something else in it too,. A batty plush! Ezra bounced on his paws with glee, it was such a nice toy!
