Azrael was very confused by Hazmas terror. " I'm dead serious, if there was a redblood who felt strong enough about that text to put it up there and risk his life then there might be some truth to it and I can't allow something like that to go by, eitherway it's an insult," Azrael folded his arms, his voice starting to become testy as the green... yellow.... green???? blood continued his terror streak. "I'll admit he's not someone you want to be enemies with, but I don't think he's as irrational as to cull you for a slip of the tongue," Azrael noted looking over to the greenblood as though he were looking at another one of his experiments. "IJust apologize to him, smooth it over and I'm sure he won't hunt you down or something, " he looked at the greenblood search the floor and then the basket.

When Hazmas was ready to speak, Azrael listened quietly to what Hazmas had to say. "It might and it might not, the only way to prove anything is to gather concrete evidence and work together." Azrael pursed his lips, boy this guy was spineless. Holy gears and blood was this guy a wuss. "That being said, Yes, kursha seems to have a temper, he's the kind of guy who looks at character rather than bloodcolor-- I... learned that lesson the hard way, but he also seems to know what he's doing, you're better off trying to make up with him than you are cowering," unfolded his arms and pointed at Kursha and Sir "So, will you just go and talk to him already?"

Hazmas stared at the basket as he listened. It was a relief to know that he wasn't the only one who thought there might be a hint of truth in the rumor on the board. However that relief only serve to temper the record of "so do you want that death certificate signed in ink or your own blood?" playing in his mind as the blue blood kid tried to cajole him into talking to Kursha.

The young greenblood had just barely been able to hold himself together after being verbally tenderized during the Gerard incident, and even then he'd ended up sobbing silently in a corner. Not to mention the violent vindictiveness already showing in the adult trolls present at the party, and the knowledge that for most of them, he's not even worth the grime on their shoe. Good partnership or not, the fact stood that trolls had been culled for less.

"Like I said," Hazmas said evenly, "I'm not interested in getting any higher on anyone else's cull list. You might have the gall to go up to someone right after throwing them under a hoofbeast without meaning to, and being pulverized for it, but I don't.. not now anyway."

The youngster tossed a paper into the waste bin and stood up. Normally, he had an indignant fire that helped fuel those kinds of actions he deemed both brazen and courageous - however after screwing up in the hivestem, that was little more than smoldering ashes. That, along with the sheer rawness he felt from the whole ordeal, left him very little in the area of courage and fear-fighting confidence.

Azrael made another click of irritation with the troll, but he listened quietly to what Hazmas had to say. It was the exact same thing he'd said before, talk about a broken record. Azrael just continued to stare at the lowblood. His position changed from pointing to Kursha to having his hands on his hips, his cape pushed back out of the way. " You're just going to let yourself be afraid of just that? Come on...."

Azrael bit his lip a bit and thought about what to say next, the thought crossed his mind to wonder why he even cared. But pushed the thought away. He started this and he was going to finish it whether it meant totally ruining this greenbloods life or not. He couldn't stand how the greenblood was acting. "I'll tell you what." The young blueblood lowered his head a bit and he looked at his feet before looking back up. "you have two choices or so help me I will block the door until you do something about it. Go, talk to Kursha and apologize on your own or I will go and get him, make your choice fast." Azrael's voice was a lot louder and probably a bit more agitated than he would have liked, but it was too late now. The damage was done.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

Silently processing Schrad's response, Kursha looked thoughtful. A part of him wanted to raise the alarm, but the kids were looking to be less important than he thought. Relevant still, yes, but only in their relation to one of the other guests. He mused over the options. Erilyn seemed like the obvious choice of course, judging from the information that everyone else had presented. What that meant though was beyond him.

As he mused, it occurred to him how little he knew about the other guests. Now was as good a time as any and Schrad appeared to be more than obliging. While uncertain how much she knew about the others, there was one troll in particular he knew she had to have some dirt on. He put his hands on his hips. “Abrupt subject change, but what do you know about the Major?”

The expression that spread across the redblood's features let him know he had hit the jackpot. Puchen had better watch out. He was armed and dangerous. Nodding and giving his thanks, Kursha turned to leave. As he did though, he heard his name from across the room. Two children stood by the desk, in quiet argument. Both he recognised: the yellowblood named Hazmas from the central hivestem, and the blueblood accompanying Eridia.

Thumbs in his pockets, he sauntered over. His approach was less than silent, spurs jingling with every step. “Heeeey~!” he called in greeting, offering a sharktooth grin. He stopped beside them. “How's the investigation going? Something you two wanted to share with me?”

Azrael looked at kursha with surprise. Had he been too loud? He looked back at Hazmas and let his arms drop to his sides. "Guess you're out of time," he spoke low enough that only his argument companion could hear him before he turned his attention to the other greenblood. The guy who attacked Eridia earlier that evening, but he wouldn't actually bring that up right then. Eridia probably deserved it in some way. "yeah, actually we do! Don't we?" The young blueblood nudged Hazmas to try and motivate him into talking, "I was trying to see what he found out and see what else we could figure out, but because of what happened in the central hivestem he's terrified that he's on your hit list and refuses to speak to me while you're here, so I was trying to persuade him to go talk to you instead of snivel so that we could move on,"

After explaining the situation, Azrael looked at Hazmas then back at Kursha, "I also have something I want to talk to you about, but I think right now the priority is for him to understand that you probably aren't going to try culling him at any moment because of his slip up," He felt the bubble of irritation deflate from his chest as he said this and tried once again to take this as objectively as possible.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

For a long moment after Azrael finished Kursha stared at the pair, silent and expressionless. Then without warning he threw his head back and let out a long, howl of laughter. He could scarcely breathe he was laughing so hard. “You thought I was gonna cull you?” he gasped, voice pitching. He looked incredulous. “For that?! Oh man, that's too rich! Cull you! What kind of reputation have I been building for himself?” With that he doubled over in a fresh fit of giggling, hugging his sides. So much for the sanctity of a library.

When at last he recovered, Kursha straightened and wiped at his eyes. He flicked a few tears away. Turning his gaze to Hazmas, he bit back a snort. “I'm not gonna cull you,” he said, eyes twinkling with amusement. “Sure, I was a little pissed at you back there, but you've more than made up for it. Pft.” He covered his face, trying hard not to laugh again.

“Anyway, we're all on the same team here, so... Just don't go throwing my name around like an idiot, and we'll get along just fine, all right?” He gave the kid a lazy smile. He forgave him for his slip-up, there was a threat in his words too. If it happened a second time he would not be feeling so benevolent.

The youngster barely had enough time to process the blueblood's ultimatum before the sound of death clinked into Hazmas's sponge clots. He felt his stomach bottom out as a sudden wave of terror induced nausea gripped his insides. He turned slightly, lowering his head and stabilizing himself against the wall, making sure to keep the waste bin in close proximity should the stress prove to much for him.

"Sounds about right," he muttered weakly, flashing a glare towards the blue blood before jerking back at the greenblooded teen's sudden raucous laughter. Of all the responses he'd been expecting, that wasn't one of them - and considering all the blood bathed scenarios that had been going through his head since the Hivestem incident, he was glad for it!

However, it was hearing Kursha say that they were on the same team that really brought a smile to Hazmas's face. Just the relief that little sentence gave him almost brought tears to his eyes. He blinked them back and grinned behind his mask.

"Don't worry," the youngster said with a mild chuckle, "if I've learned anything tonight, it's to keep my squawk gaper shut."

After a moment, Hazmas gave his jacket a tug as if to shake off the dust of his fears and turned and to the blueblood, addressing him first, since he'd been the one to initiate this whole thing.

"Right, you had question," he said, a bit if his previous vigor returning, "but first, what's your name? You know mine, though I'd honestly be surprised if you didn't. However, I don't know yours."

Azrael took a surprised step back and stared at Kursha like he was a bomb that could go off at any moment. He clenched his teeth and stiffened until Kursha’s laugh had subsided. He hadn’t expected that in anyway. Maybe an indifferent shrug, a slap to the face or something incredibly violent was what he expected, not the intense laughter that he saw. Actually, it was a little bit disturbing in a sense that he’d never experienced something like this before. He could take blows, beatdowns and acidic comments, but this was something else and Azrael did not know how to take it.

And then, Kursha’s response was so friendly and calm. It was a completely different person than who he had been kneed in the face by earlier. It seemed like he was personally more shaken by the confrontation with Kursha than Hazmas ever could be. Azrael closed his eyes and tried to calm down from the startle he had just moments ago. He opened his eyes when Hazmas addressed him. Ahh, now that he thought of it, he didn’t know the troll’s name at all. He had been listening but not so much watching. At that point he was still seeing stars from the knee to the face from earlier.

yes, well sort of,‘ Azrael was feeling a little pensive about speaking his thoughts, not out of fear but debating on if he could trust Kursha to understand where he was coming from. He turned his attention to Hazmas. "Sorry, but I don’t actually know your name, I may have heard it, but I didn’t see it placed to a face," Actually speaking of face, he took his mask off and placed moved his cape so that he could put the thing in his satchel. After this he held out his hand to Hazmas “Azrael Mortis, pleasure to make your acquaintance,
Azrael felt a slight sense of relief. Maybe… they weren’t so bad? Actually now that he thought of it, this was probably one of the better times he’d had in recent history where trolls were concerned.

My question right now is this; What do you two think of Gerard and what happened in the central hivestem?, ” Azrael reached into his satchel again to bring out his handy dandy sketchpad, “ Not the arguing, that's done and over with, but the claim itself, something like that is a bit risky especially with the queen in the room, ” He looked at the two of them and waited for an answer.

Hazmas stared at Azrael in genuine shock. He'd thought anyone stupid enough to make a scene like he did would be remembered and put down for the rest of their unnatural sweeps. The young green blood let out an almost bewildered chuckle before taking the blue blood's hand and shaking it.

"Name's Hazmas," he said with a grin, "Hazmas Pochim. Yellowest green blood on the spectrum. Well, at least I think I'm the yellowest. Haven't seen any green bloods yellower than me." He flashed Azrael a playful sideways grin and finished the handshake. But his face fell at the mention of the over-dramatic purple-blooded diva that, for once, wasn't Eridia.

'Aaaaand back to glasses,' Hazmas thought and gave Kursha an uncertain glance. He folded his arms as his grin faded into a thin, serious line.

"Well, you've already heard my bit," the green blood replied with a shrug. "If the thing is a lie, then someone's got it out for Gerard and is using that to play us like idiots. If it's not, then this situation just got a whole lot more complicated. Either way, it's bad news for Glasses."

      [+] Kursha Vidari

The yellowblood's name he had already memorised in case he needed to exact vengeance somewhere down the road, but the blueblood's name was new information. Kursha mentally filed that snippet away: Azrael Mortis, lackey to Eridia and someone to look out for. He studied the boy, wary behind his smile. While Azrael had acted nothing but politely cordial towards him thus far, it had only been an hour before that Kursha had kneed the kid in the chin. In short, Kursha did not trust him. Not at all.

He huffed when the blueblood mentioned Gerard. Not this again. “As dumb a thing as it is to spread around, it would be even dumber if it weren't true. He could easily disprove it, and the end result would just be a loss of dignity and everybody's time. Hardly seems like something worth getting into trouble over. You didn't hear that from me though.” He placed his thumbs back in his pockets. “Really, it doesn't matter at the moment. If at some point it becomes relevant then I'm all sponge clots, but until then I'm not interested in digging into it.”

He noted how cheerful Hazmas was now that the matter was resolved. Azrael couldn't help but crack a smile himself. Once the handshake ended and he'd let go of Hazmas hand. " see, that wasn't so hard, now you might have a new acquaintance," he listened carefully and noted what the greenblood had to say. Then turned his attention to Kursha and what he had to say on the matter. “ That's true, right now it's unimportant or very important, I just want to keep tabs on potential leads, thank you for indulging my curiosity and not, you know, clobbering me over it” The last bit was purely joking and he flashed Kursha a bit of a smile before jotting down some notes and then closing his sketchpad.

The last thing I would like to discuss...” Azrael trailed off a bit, he wasn't sure how to ask this and his relation with Eridia put him at an obvious disadvantage here. “ I want to shadow you for a little bit Kursha, if you would like, think of it as having temporary contract of servitude or something like that,” Something like that anyway, it probably wasn't even an enticing offer all things considered, but he wanted to learn more about how this troll worked. The fact that he was so unpredictable bothered Azrael, but he also seemed like a man with a plan and a huge success besides. He could just imagine Eridia's hissy fit over this, but oh well, he'd deal with her gripes later.

Hazmas frowned, not sure if what Azrael was doing was smart, or even remotely sensible. He'd even said that he'd learned Kursha's disregard for the hemospectrum through experience - possibly a pulverizing over whatever they'd come into conflict about. Another reason Hazmas was still inwardly wary of the teen. Kursha obviously had a temper, a stubborn streak, and the charisma of a natural leader.

The young greenblood remembered the yellow blood who'd stood up to defend Kursha's credibility after his accidental smear- which meant if something happened and teen didn't deal with them himself, one of his possible underlings probably would.

'Kursha, hives biggest frienemy,' he thought grimly, and folded his arms a little tighter before running his hand through his hair.

His lusus, who'd been pawing at the books while during the entire conversation, lumbered over and, spotting her charges veritable hand wringing, hooted and grunted at him.

'Oi, not your business, not your problem! Stop puttin' clogwind where you don't need it.'

Hazmas looked over at her and nodded with a grunt and turned towards the other two trolls.

"Well if we're done here, I'd like to go question our hostess," he said pulling his mask back up over his face. "There's some stuff I wanna know about. I dunno her connections myself, but she seems to be in a lot of hot water - not just for Epratt, but for the mutant bloods too. If she's not the one who did it, then either she's a target or someone close to her who knew some dirty secret that someone else found out about this and culled them before they could ruin her... Not that culling a highblood at her party did her any favors."

The young troll had a plethora of theories, however nothing could be confirmed. All he had was a wrapper, a pill and a few tidbits of information - not enough to nail anyone in the case. He had to find more clues, and was becoming more eager to go and do some more digging.

Kursha considered the Azrael's words. On one hand, he could keep a better eye on the blueblood that way, but on the other...

“That's flattering, but I'll have to pass,” Kursha said. He did not bother to explain himself. He did not need to. “Anyway, it's been fun chatting, but I should go. Got a murderer to catch and all that.” Without waiting for a reply, he turned to leave. Back to Azrael and Hazmas, he waved. “Nice meeting you. Stay out of trouble.”
