User ImageAllie was still so tense when the other Grimm came by, so much taller than her and confident. She still couldn't move, just frozen out of fear, though the whisper in her ear made it flick. It still didn't get through to her, brain still racing with fear of leaving...

Everything had been going swimmingly up until the Grimm woman grabbed her hands and suddenly invaded her personal bubble. Not that it was a HUGE personal bubble but WOW, things must be going terribly bad if this was the case and she was so excited.

"Uhm... Yeah, I'd love to do that - I mean..." How could she say this without indebting herself to a trip that she might never return from. "Maybe, I could get like... some recordings of it or some sheet music I could see about keeping it going..." She gave the woman a sheepish smile.

"I don't want to see any sort of music wiped out - you know? It's part of my culture, I'm mean I'm a Hybrid but one of my parents was a Grimm so I dont' want to lose that."

If that meant having to go on a hermitage - so be it.

"I'd love to speak with you about it in more detail... later though, obviously there are other things that need to be worked out first!"

Conan nodded. "Everyone should have the right to do whatever they want once they're older...." He was proud of his Grimm heritage. He would do anything to learn more about them. Well, anything other than moving up north, giving up his music career, and never seeing his sisters again. Still, he couldn't just ignore their plight. He just wished her partner could be more reasonable given this whole situation.

Cherish brought up a very good point however. He would most definitely love to learn of their music. "And dance as well!" While he'd be okay with a trip to his apparent ancestral homeland, he didn't think he'd remain. He would however, be quite happy to spread their traditions in such a way. It would be a really fun way to teach the whole world about the Grimm.

His fur ruffled a bit as the older Grimm grasped Cherish's hands. He knew how much his sister valued her personal space. However, when she didn't react too negatively toward her he calmed back down. Mink was lucky she had't touched Cammy like that, oh that would have been a mess.

"We would definitely be happy to discuss this opportunity with you later....And I'm Conan by the way. Thanks for traveling out here to meet with us. I only hope we can settle this...peacefully." He was worried about what further fuss the darker Grimm would make of this.

Frost accepted the bottle of water and drank, glad that the angry man had left. The pup could feel most of the tension drain out of the crowd, though some people were still unhappy. The lady was saying the same things, really, just not like a bratty child; he hadn't known adults could be bratty children. What if the man threw a tantrum and did something he didn't mean to do.... Absently, Frost reached out to touch Allie in reassurance and found her tight with tension still. "Papa, Mama's frozen." Frost felt a little useless. He knew that part of Allie's fear was for him, and he didn't know how to make her feel better.

"I know, Frost..." he sighed and reached up with his free hand and cupped Allie's face making her look at him. "Allie. Come on...it's okay, sweetheart. No one is taking you anywhere you don't want to go. Lerin and I are not going to let you go anywhere." he looked over at Lerin. "I think I need to take her to the nurse's office. I think she needs meds." he frowned deeply and motioned for Frost to go over to Lerin while he moved to pick up Allie.

"Maybe grill the Fish-man for answers?" he said. "You're the most interested in culture out of the three of us."

User Image Ugh she should have gotten here way earlier. She had a feeling that she was going to be beating herself up over not just running out of her class for a long time. As such, Lerin was reluctant to let go of Allie’s hand, but Seth was right and she knew he would take excellent care of Allie and hopefully get her back to normal or at least be able to get through to her. Plus it wasn’t like she couldn’t handle any problems that came up with frost. “Yeah okay we’ll hold the fort here.” She looked down to where Frost was and held out her hand.

“Come on lets go grill Fish-man for answers. You can help me think up questions”

Seth nodded and slid his arms under Allie and lifted her easily, letting Lerin let go of her hand. He held her tight and then quickly made his way out of the auditorium. "It'll be okay. No one is going to take you or Frost away, okay? I love you so much, Allie. Well all do..." he held her close and made his way to the nurse's office to let his little partner get some much needed help.

User ImageMadla had observed enough. The Geist stepped forward towards the female Grimm and made sure she had her attention. "Hello," she said, trying for polite though she probably came off colder than she meant to. "I've heard everything you and the other Grimm said, and I've got to say that I barely see any difference. Yes, you coach the proposition different: nicer, calmer, less like an ultimatum, but you are still only giving us one option. Our Grimm part with their families...or they part with your knowledge and culture. Yes, you did say that this one," she gestured to one of the hybrids Mink was talking to, "could spread your music across the lands, but why should we trust you?"

The Geist crossed her arms, staring the female down as she tried to make her point quickly. No telling if this one would kick her out. The other, Kestrel, definitely would have, but this one seemed different. "You have said our Grimm could come back at any time, but what have you given us to ensure you'll uphold your end of the bargain? What's stopping you from holding them or brainwashing them? You've given us nothing but words."

Madla took a deep breath, loathe to say anything about her daughter to these strangers, but they needed to know why she was there. They needed to take her seriously. "My daughter is half-Grimm. She has the right to learn her Grimm culture and I don't want to keep her from it. However," her voice grew harder and colder, protectiveness sweeping her, "she will not go with you. Not until she is an adult in her own right and can make her own decisions. So, I propose a different option: Some of our Grimm go, the ones that want to, and one, or more, of you stay here. Set up a class to teach your history and culture here. Not only does this solve the problem of breaking up families, but we get a little insurance that you aren't tampering with the Grimm who are visiting you."

Frost's ears and tail drooped a little as he watched his father carry off one of his moms. He didn't like when his mama froze up like that, it really did make him feel powerless; Papa could always coax her out of this state somehow, and even Mommy Lerin helped Mama. All Frost could do was cuddle with her until one of his other parents saved the day. The young Grimm shuffled, wanting to go for a run to work off all the negative things that happened today, but knew he couldn't yet. Besides, the day wasn't nearly over, and there might be more things to work off later. There was still too much tension in the air for the observant little pup to think that everything was going to be fixed today. Also, they still had to question the fish-man.

Frost held out his arms to Lerin, silently asking his mother to pick him up and cuddle him. If he couldn't run, he wanted cuddles and security. His parents were the world to him and there was nothing they couldn't handle; but there were a lot of new people and two of his three parents were outside now. He didn't want to be separated from the one he had left, so if they were getting closer, he wanted to be clinging to his mom. "Okay, Mom. The fish guy doesn't seem all that scary." He replied, chewing his lip lightly. "You don't really think they'll try and force us to go with them, do you?"

Mink flashed a smile at the siblings, tail wagging gently. "Yes, we can discuss this later, of course!" She promised, head snapping to the side when a Geist addressed her. Her smile faltered when they spoke, ears drooping. The Gesit didn't have any Grimm in her, but that didn't cause the frown. It was the questions and doubts. Briefly thrown for a loop, the Grimm flashed a bright smile, quickly landing on her feet.

"Well, it's true we haven't given any convincing arguments as to why you should trust us..." And then she froze. This Geist, this woman who claimed she was the mother of a Grimm, had a point, despite the fact she cringed at it. Leave someone of theirs for the academy? Why? What if they kidnapped them, forever?

However, wasn't that what they, the Grimm, were doing? Seizing the kids and expecting the academy to trust them? A frown appeared as she considered the option, looking around briefly for Ryuuichi or Kestrel. Wait, right, Kestrel ran off like a child.

The woman had a point.

What if they set up a class? What if they stayed? Would the academy trust sending their Grimm over to her tribe, then? And would she be able to spread their information further if they taught at the academy? She couldn't make this decision on her own, but the Grimm woman gave the other a strange and appreciative smile.

She liked her idea.

"We would need to discuss that as a tribe, but I understand your fears. Setting up a class here to calm the tension and also spread our knowledge further is something we will absolutely consider. Thank you for the advice!" Despite how cold the other's tone had become, it did not deter Mink. She was still bearing that delightful smile as she continued handing bottles out.

Ryuuichi had managed to lower himself to the lip of the stage and seat himself, his cane across his lap, the pearl towards his dominate hand, just in case. In case of what? He wasn't entirely sure, but it was mostly to deter anyone from touching the pearl. Wasn't one of these races supposed to be into some sort of thief culture? He probably should have swapped his normal cane out for one of his plain ones but...that would mean leaving her at home...and that was unacceptable.

He took one of the bottles of water and opened it taking a sip. He made a slight face. It was warm, and had a strange taste to it, as if it had been deprived of all the things that made water, water. He sighed and cupped his hands around the bottle and lightly rested them on his knees.

He looked down the aisle and saw Mink was evidently in some sort of distress. He could tell from the body language. Evidently the white haired individual speaking to her had said something...upsetting. He'd ask when she came back up this way on her rounds.

User ImageLerin had wanted to scoop Frostbite up the second that Seth pushed the little guy over, since she couldn’t hold Allie’s hand any more, but she also knew that frostbite liked to be active to work off aggression and boys sometimes had silly qualms about getting affection and cuddles from their parents in public. So when frost held out his arms that boy was definitely scooped up and cuddled and the gods save who ever tried to take him from her arms until she got a better feeling on the situation.

“No he doesn’t seem that scary, does he?”
Lerin replied still trying to think up exactly what she wanted to ask him. However her attention was pulled away by the second question. “If they do...” ah might not be the best thing to tell a little worried boy. If she wasn’t calm how could she expect Frostbite to be calm? Things seemed to be calming down now but then again that protesting male from earlier wasn’t in the room any more either. “I don’t think they will. It would be silly for them to try and make a whole bunch of people mad at them and we would all stop them”

Kinley poked his head in the room that he knew he wasn't supposed to be in. He was more than nervous to do as planned and prayed it would work. He looked at all the nightmares in the room then to Kestrel. His little paw in the other's larger one. He took a deep breath, trying to be as brave as Kestrel thought he was and guiding him into the room. He walked with him over to where Mink was. He gave a look to Kestrel before releasing his paw to hug the other tightly. "Pretty lady... p-please don't b-be mad a-at him..." He whispered to her then looked up to her, eyes big as he nervously nibbled his lower lip. He looked to Kestrel then to Ava, releasing Mink. "H-Headmistress....?" The young grimm mumbled, feeling sick to his stomach from fear that was growing. "H-He's not gonna take a-anyone.. s-so maybe we can.. all just t-talk?.. Maybe get a c-class about grimms or something.. I think it'd be good for all of us.." He had completely blanked, feeling everyone's eyes on him. "There is a few r-reasons why he said what he did... He's worried for his pack a-and for the grimms f-future. Please listen to him a-about that stuff.. please" He pleaded her a bit, looking up to her.

Ava's head snapped up to view the returning Kestrel, eyes briefly landing on the small Grimm beside him, her face lacking the distrust that rampantly fluttered within her chest. Peace. Tranquility. Don't lash out. There were people waiting for her words, and relying on her strength.

She watched with little interest as the boy spoke to Mink, instead eying Kestrel from her spot, handing another bottle to a nearby Nightmare before raising her head when the small boy called her title out. Kinley. She now remembered his name, abandoning her task and approaching the boy with a faint smile. Kneeling down, she put a hand on his shoulder, tail flicking idly behind her.

"Thank you, Kinley." She quietly assured. Still, he was a child, and while his intentions were pure and he spoke well of the man beside him, Ava was not about to change her position on the matter. Not yet. This was an adult situation, and the Headmistress felt a brief trickle of worry down her spine as she realized the boy had not only interacted with Kestrel, but alone. Whether or not Kestrel had changed his mind, as the boy claimed, she did not enjoy the fact the Grimm had approached or been approached by one of her students. This situation was dangerous, and involving the young left a sour taste in her mouth.

"We will discuss shortly. I promise. For the moment, however, you cannot be here. We will figure an answer to this situation, and I thank you for speaking up. I also appreciate your suggestion." She glanced up, gesturing towards Persephone.

"Can you escort Kinley out?" She questioned, slowly standing up to glance over at Kestrel, ready for anything he had to offer or say.

Mink's nose wiggled as she smelled Kestrel returning, tail wagging briefly before – wait, no, she was mad! Calm that tail! Frowning, Mink folded her arms, having ceased handing out bottles. The Grimm boy, however, was adorable, and her tail wagged once more. Her ears pricked up when she was addressed, grinning wide at the first comment. Her smile faltered as he mentioned her partner, claws tapping together as she glanced back up at Kestrel.

She wasn't sure how to cease her anger, honestly! Oh, she hated being mad at him, and she was aware he had reasons for his previous outbursts, but that still didn't calm the anger she felt over his previous actions. She watched the exchange between Ava and the boy, making a mental note to later track the boy, Kinley, down. She'd need to thank him. No matter how mad she was at Kestrel, she was grateful the boy had taken pity upon the man and helped him.
