Rei eyed the dark cave. "I suppose it''ll be a bit hard to see where we're going. Thankfully, I can help with lighting it," he commented to Chi. He concentrated, and a moment later small sparks began to dance across his fur. They increased in number and speed until there was a constant, if slightly flickering, glow emanating from him. He dropped back a bit so that he wasn't too close to Lain, figuring that having the light sources spread out a bit would make it easier for the other pokemon to see. "Will you be alright, Chi?" he asked his companion. "If you don't have your own way to produce light, feel free to stick by me."

She blinks at his sparkling fur. 'Well I can't make flames dance across my pelt like that but I'll travel along with you, if that's alright.'The growlithe looked over her companion. 'We should find out if any other pokemon want to join us.'

Caliban couldn't help but smirk a bit as the second Growlithe burst into laughter. When the scraggly, muddy one turned on him to attack, the Leafeon crouched to spring away – only to see Tybalt and all his fiery fury extinguished by a deluge of water. He turned in surprise to the unexpected hero, the smiling Buizel who seemed only to be thinking of washing away the mud. He shook his head in bemusement at the entire ridiculous situation. "Pups, we need to keep moving. If you want to fight this out, we can do that. Afterward." He flexed his shoulders, letting his claws dig into the dirt. Caliban would've been up for a fight anytime, if they weren't in the middle of something else. "Everyone else is leaving us behind." He gestured with a jerk of his head to where Lain was floating into a cave.

Looking wearily between the two strangers, keeping hunkered down to remain as tiny, and low as possible, Barneby slowly began to inch along after the rest of the group. The mild tension between the other two was palpable, and made him wonder... if they already knew each other. But he didn't dare ask! no that wouldn't be his place to intrude upon their personal information!
Eyes keeping glued ahead of him, trying to keep his nerves under control, blinking when the herd ahead of them gave pause before...
a cave...?
Instantly, his eyes widened further, antenna drooping, and backside scrunching up some with distress. "A-...a, c-c-c-...cav...ve...?" he stammered in disbelief. Such a place was inky dark, with fearsome beings hidden in crevices, and behind jutted rocks! and what if they were unsavory creatures, who lived here, and desired no trespassers! Not to mention the lack of being able to see all that was around you. Tiny sucker feet sticking to the ground, he was frozen in place, trembling lightly with fear. How could he go in there?! what... what if something happened?!

Marmalade's fur bristled and stood up like it had too much static when Lain transported her and the others to the cave. She was suddenly very cold without the sun and could see only the faint outline Lain cast. She had no fire attacks or flash, but the tiny amount of light Lain gave off was enough for her highly evolved eyes.

Domo stopped and felt a wave of nostalgia hit him as he took in the outside of the large dark cave.
"Hahaaa a cave! Reminds me of my youth, da. When I was a but a small Ghastly, da." Domo let out a large belly laugh, before reaching down to pat the frightened Caterpie. "Do not fret, my small friend. The dark is only scary if you let it scare you,"

(OOC: To anyone looking for light!Rei is an Electrike who is also now using Flash. Anyone is welcome to gather near him as a secondary light source.) "Of course you're welcome to travel with me," Rei answered. They trained together once before, and he'd be happy to be teammates once again. He tilted his head at her question, though. "Join us?" He looked around at the group as a whole, noting that some pokemon seemed to have collected into small groups to travel together. "You mean, travel with us, in particular? If you like." He shrugged, since it didn't much matter to him. He wondered why Chi has asked, then glanced over at her. "Why, are you missing the others? It has been some time since we were all together."

As Lain got deeper into the cave, she suddenly paused and looked around. "Uh." She turned to face the group, blushing slightly. "This is kind of embarassing, but you know how when you get to a new place, it's hard to find your way around? Well, the truth is, I, uh, I never went through the cave. So I guess what I'm tryin' to say is... I'm lost. Ehehehe...."Game Time! Lain got lost! Looks like it's up to everyone else to figure out how to get out of the cave. Rules:With each post you make, roll a 20 sided die and respond accordingly. You can only roll, however, if you are accompanied by a pokemon that can create a light source, you are a pokemon who can create a light source, or your eyes are suitable for the darkness. So group up! You may roll and then edit your response into your post, but you MUST edit a response into your post for that roll to count. Also, do not roll again without first making a response for your last roll. You also cannot roll again until another person has posted. Whether they roll or not is irrelevant. Jax trekked along with the others, observing the scenery and curiously watching the craziness of the other travelers. Their shenanigans were quite entertaining. When they arrived at the cave, she sat and grinned. "This should be interesting." She said to herself. She looked down at her insectoid traveling companion and smiled softly. "Don't worry, my friend. I can use flash to light our path a bit so it is not so...frightening. The dark is only scary when one does not know where one is going." She smiled and they started onward "C'mon. We're right here with you." She said and continued on after Lain, using flash to glow also, seeing other pokemon use the same technique. When they call came to a stop and the Masquerain stated that she was verily lost, Jax sighed in exasperation. "How did I know that this ditzy bug was going to cause trouble?" She asks rhetorically.
"Well, we might as well start searching for a path on our own, don't you think?" She asked her companions and started off in a random direction.

Since I/Jax got a 2....
Jax walks for a bit before stumbling and stubbing her toe on a decent sized rock. "OW!! SON OF A WAILORD!!" She shouts, cursing as she hops around on three legs, holding her sore toes. "Ow ow ow ow owwwwwwww....stupid..stinkin...rotten...rocks" She growls, her glow becoming a bit brighter in her anger.

((Marmalade is a Lopunny and I assume they can see well in the dark. I checked bulbapedia and it doesn't say anything about eyesight ._.;; ))
Marmalade headed onward and a wild rock jumped out at her and used rollout on her toes.
"Ouch!" she squeaked.

Rei had more or less been following Lain blindly, and was surprised when she paused and turned to address the group. The surprise turned to exasperation as she spoke, and he sighed. "I guess we'd better seek a way out," he said to Chi. He picked a direction and started walking around, looking for clues, though he moved a bit slowly so that his friend could keep up. But before he got to far, he stubbed his toe on a rock. He yipped and hopped back, then examined the foot to make sure it wasn't badly hurt. Guess he'd have to be more careful.

From the amount of muffled exclamations of pain, Marmalade thought that many other pokemon had hurt themselves on the cave floor.
She made her loppy way along a tunnel and hit a dead end. Better than being hit by a rock.

Chi shook her head as she kept pace. 'I miss having a pack like we did then. It was so much easier to work together in that group, even if we were all different.' Upon watching her companion stub his paw on a rock, she herself looked for a way out. Hoewever, Chi only ran into a dead end. 'It can't be this way.'

Domo was unafraid of the darkness, since he grew up in it and could see fairly well. However, it seemed that his little bug friend was one bad thing away from passing out. And that wouldn't be good! When Jax lit up like a Christmas tree, Domo squinted at her. At least she was good for something.
"Da, let's go," he started, about to follow the Electrike before she stubbed her toe on a rock and let out a string of shouts. He tried to keep his snickering to a minimum. "Perhaps... we try this way, da?" he started off in a different direction...
... only to stare right at a cave wall! A dead end, pssh.
