Mood: nervous

┗━━━━━━━━━┛ April was briskly walking to her classroom, all while stuffing her face full of 'noodles'. She couldn't have any distractions in this class. This was the one period where she usually had full focus, because it was right after lunch. Being that, she was doing pretty well in this class. Getting C's and the occasional B. She looked at the classroom, seeing how everyone was already working. She sat down at a random seat, as every table had someone in it already. April frowned, a bit embarrassed for coming in late. Now, she will have to figure out what everyone is doing. |♥| ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ •♥ ✖ ♥• ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ |♥|

Still somewhat mad at least night, and not to mention tense and slightly paranoid, Rheaus walked into the first class of the day with the same old serious face he'd had on since day one. He grabbed a chair at the farthest place he could from any windows and dropped his pencil on purpose to check how quickly he could duck under the desk in the event of a sniper attack. Once that was out of the way he was ready to learn. Yaay, biology.

 Fathom, who had somehow dozed off, awoke to the commotion of a chair scraping across the floor harshly, shortly followed by a pencil's drop echoing through the room. Fathom rubbed their eyes quickly and adjusted their fake glasses. They laid eyes upon a strange creature. And it was strange for a dragon to call another strange. 'Is this...one of my students?' Fathom wondered. They slid the glasses off their nose and looked at the roster. They looked back up, not mnding to put the glasses back on. "Excuse me, may I get your name?" Fathom spoke to the creature.  Here I am alone again

Rheaus always tried to regard teachers as equals; even the divinities he'd met here, as they could never match up to the images of his goddess--or his betrothed for that matter. He sat up straighter, and after a quick glance around, "... Is this all? Are we really have a class with one person? --not that I mind a little one-on-one tutoring. It's just, you know... Empty feeling."

"Ah, n-no...we should have a few more students joining us..." Fathom checked the roster for the third time, pushing their glasses up slightly to see. These things were beginning to get annoying seeing as they didn't need the things, but Fathom believed it would help as a sort of disguise, since no one here was supposed to know that they were a god. Setting the glasses back in place, Fathom sat back in their chair. "We'll wait a few minutes more for the students." And now the worry began to set in slowly. Would the students believe they were just a normal magic user? Could they even be able to teach this class properly? Fathom got a sinking guilty feeling at the thought of not being a good teacher to these students. Here I am alone again

Rheaus simply nodded and waited for a moment. Thumbing his book, an uncomfortable minute passed.
"... So....." There just wasn't a whole lot to do. Rheaus could talk about something in the book, but he couldn't read. All he could do was wait for the teacher to enlighten him.

Fathom sighed as minutes passed and no more students had shown up. They stood, picking up the teacher's edition of the textbook. They placed the book on the podium positioned in front of an old and dusty chalkboard. Without opening the book, though, Fathom turned and began writing on the board with one of the few stubs of chalk that were there. They personally didn't agree with nearly anything written in the textbook, but it was written by mortals who didn't know everything, so it had to be forgiven. 'Though they could have at least started at the beginning. You won't get anywhere by starting in the middle.' Fathom thought. 'And you can't teach biology without the foundation in which everything fits: ecology.'As Fathom scrawled out words, they also drew pictures that correlated with the descriptions. They were doing this for two reasons: 1) it was easier to explain the lesson this way; 2) they were stalling for more students to show up. They felt guilty even thinking about starting without everyone present. Here I am alone again

Entering rather loudly and dumbly. "Ohhh~" A large rabbit eared girl came in having hustled a few steps only to trip up on herself and fall to the ground. "Eh eh EEEP!" Getting up quickly and reaching for a chair but missing it falling again, "Gawww!" before getting up one last time and finally taking a seat, her hair somewhat messy and one of her ears straight while the other somewhat flopped to the side.
"Oh so sorry I'm late, I got lost again in this big school, I'm sti-- you don't care, I uh, eh... Aimee Charmdale, sir, ma'am, sir! ... ohhhhh." She fumbled with her hair and spoke very nervous seeming.
She took only one half second to look to the side at Rheaus giving a quick glare then back to her bubbly eyed nonsense.

Rheaus smacked his face with the strength of a wet noodle. The mere presence of this monster of a girl-rabbit-thing was more than he could take at the moment. And there were a million things he could be doing other than fearing for his life. He didn't think for a moment this girl was on the roster, but assumed she wouldn't just leave him alone.

Fathom, startled by the racket the girl brought in with her, dropped the chalk stub. Without looking to the girl, they turned and went to the roster, scrolling the list for her name and marking the box next to it. Finally looking up, they nearly leaped out of their mortal body in shock at the sight of rabbit ears atop the nervous girl's head. "M-Miss Charmdale, glad you could make it." Fathom smiled about as nervously as the girl looked. "J-Just call me Fathom. D-Don't try using pronouns." They waved their hand slightly, now worrying that maybe they were too forward and rude. 'Are all the students at this school this...odd?' Fathom thought, once again skipping the fact that being a dragon wasn't quite normal either. They turned back to the board and picked up the chalk to finish writing. Here I am alone again

Rubbing the back of her head with a goofy smiling face, "Eh hehe, yes, well... okay .. Fathom." She said then sitting back some and slinking a little into her seat. One of her ears pointing to Rheaus and her eyes shooting to the side at him, giving a quick wink, then letting out a quick small yawn and averting her attention back to the front of the class.

Rheaus couldn't concentrate for the remainder of class, always keeping his glance coming back to the rabbit girl. When it was all over the Zora made a move to exit as quickly as possible, not looking either way as he headed to the door.
