Shiro had perched himself in a tree, cozy among the branches as he watched the people of the town. What was a cat without his tree? He was, in fact, a cat right now. A normal jet black cat relaxing in a tree during his free time away from a school steeped with magic. 'Ha, normal.' he mused. He had never been normal. He was a cat demon, for crying out loud. He didn't even actually know how that happened. His mother was a water spirit. His father was the god of an ancient forest. He sighed loudly and very uncharacteristically for a normal cat. He hated thinking.

"... What?" Anise wouldn't lift her head from her phone (she'd looked down in the time it took Luka to find and stare at her). She could just feel that intense stare, burning holes straight through her it was! Other passersby might mistake this for Anise calling out to them. After a moment Anise would try again, this time breaking down and lifting her busy little head.
"Hello?" It almost sounded like the way someone would pick up a phone they way she said it. Clearly she was one of those teachers who really felt too busy to be bothered with anything these kids were doing. Why teach? Free coffee and books. Duh!
Luca's blissful focus was broken from the now bustling park. Well that silence ended quickly. He had then realized a third year and a teacher were now locked in each others presence. The Djinn had then realized the black cats unusual behavior. "Odd.." Luca said simply shrugging his shoulders. The Djinn had then sat on the closet bench. Waving his hand a what looked like a text book appeared in hand now studying. To pass time that is till it was time for his next class.
Elfriede walked into the relatively popular park. She had enjoyed this place the last time she was here. Which included the fish king. Though this time she was hoping for more peace and quite, which apparently wasn't happening. It definitely wasn't like this the last time she came here. Probably. She looked around, her eye catching something interesting. A boy sitting on a bench had somehow materialized a book out of nowhere. It kind of looked like a textbook. Did he enjoy studying in his free time? Walking over Elfriede called out before she got close enough to read the back of the book. "Excuse me, but what are you reading? Are you studying? Also, how did you do that?" She asked.

~Hello, I'm Luca~
"You have me mistaken for my elder brother.."
Luca was thoroughly enjoying his book. Since The First Stroke of Time is what the book was titled. Luca very well already knew about the beginning of time. For his father was one of first to create life. Now noticing the girl, Luca looked from his book and blinked. "O-oh..hello"The shy Djinn started towards Elfriede. Luca looked to his book and back to the Naiad girl. "A book that gives horrible details about the beginning of time and all its glamour" Luca stated simply smiling to the girl. "Studying? No. Always keep to keep your mind aware with a book"Luca stated with a slight giggle rubbing his neck abit. Luca was a true nerd. The pen is mightier than the sword was his life motto."How? Well..magick of course...I'm a Djinn..." Luca described looking to Elfriede. How else would he had made the book appear?
Elfriede stopped walking as the boy got up and moved toward her. She was definately not expecting that. "You don't really have to get up." She said, moving around him and sitting down on the bench. Glancing at the title of the book as she moved by. 'The First Stroke of Time'? Elfriede read. It seemed like a pretty interesting title for a book. She raised her eyebrows at what the book was about. A book about the beginning of time was exceedingly interesting. Who knows what kind of information it would have, and how interesting would it be to know about the beginning of time, how everything started. Watching the boy as he spoke she noted he was more awkward than she was in this little social encounter, probably because he was standing and she was not. "Oh, sorry, about that. It kind of looked like a textbook from where I was, so I thought you were studying. Though I agree about books enriching the mind. I guess a book about the beginning of time would look like that." She murmured more to herself than anything. Elfriede really wanted to see that book now. "I see. Well, I guess that would be the most plausible way, though spacial manipulation would be pretty cool. And you said Djinn right? Like a genie or something?" Inside Elfriede's mind was working. Should she ask him about the book now? Would he say no? She didn't even know the guy's name. Eh, might as well give it a shot anyway. "Do you mind if I see that book for a second?"

~Hello, I'm Luca~
"You have me mistaken for my elder brother.."
Luca found the girl to be quit friendly yet odd. Luca gave a slight giggle to the fairy's comment or question about him being a Djinn. "Yes..I'm what the modern world would call a genie.."Luca kinda laughed again. The Grand Djinn and Luca's several brothers and sisters strictly warned him to hide his lamp. For once his lamp was in the hands of another, Luca would be a slave for however long it would take the barer to use up their wishes. "Of course! I think you'll enjoy it" Luca said handing the book to the girl. Luca didn't mind sharing books and exchanging knowledge. "You see...this book only states theories and questions...but my father..the grand Djinn has enriched me with all the true answers!" Luca said smiling radiantly. "But..this book still causes to think more of what the beginning was like!" Luca said almost to excitedly. His true nerd side was showing. He quickly adjusted his glasses smiling.
Elfriede nodded her head slowly as she reached for the book he handed to her. His enthusiasm was astounding. He was like a shy happy go lucky puppy. Holding her pinky in between the pages to hold the spot, she flipped to the very beginning. Despite the book still being interesting, the djinn was of much more imporantce than the book at the momen. Seriously, whose father tells them stories about the beginning of time? Maybe if she could figure out how to get his lamp out. She could ask him to tell her how time began, and then let him go. She didn't really have any wishes at the moment beyond that really. She looked up at the boy as he adjusted his glasses. Watching him do it made her subconciously adjust hers. Afree a moment of brief silence she pointed at the djinn with her free hand. "Megane," she then pointed to herself, "Megane. I just realized we both have glasses. Why do you have glasses when you could just make your eyes see better? Can djinns not use magic on themselves? Though you look fine with glasses." Nonchalantly she flipped the page of the book and continued reading while he answered.

~Hello, I'm Luca~
"You have me mistaken for my elder brother.."
Luca wondered what the faye girl was thinking as she went silent. Hearing her new question, the Djinn simply shrugged. "All of the Grand Djinn's children are born with a flaw or two" Luca explain with a slight smile. "For nature would not allow something so perfect to live. For nature needs a balance" Luca explained some more to Elfriede. God, Luca loved exchanging knowledge and learning more. This most likely the reason why he had not many friends. He just wanted a nerd lifestyle and kids his age didn't. "For not even the Grand Djinn himself is perfect." Luca finished his explanation proudly. Luca was proud of his knowledge. Basically being a boy genius, he just wanted more.
"Uh huh. You sure know a lot about these things. Though now I kind of want to know that the flaw of the 'Grand Djinn', was it?" Looking down at the page in book, Elfriede memorized it before she stood up. Walking closer to Luca she stared up at him as close as her shortness could get. Using her pointer finger she pushed up his glasses a little so she could scrutinize his face. He said each djinn is born with at least one flaw, so does that mean everything else on him is perfect? Staring at his face she noted the oval eyes, with perfect spacing from the nose, which wasn't too large or two small, and perfectly straight. She was tempted to look underneath to see if djinns had boogers, but that was just nitpicking. Next she stared at his lips. Both top and bottom seemed perfectly porportional to the other and smooth. Turning her head to the side she noticed his ears. Perfectly shell shaped. His skin was smooth like butter cream too. He wasn't lying about that one flaw thing, though this was just his face. Maybe he had a strange birthmark on his butt that looked like cheetos. She'll never know. Plopping back down on the bench after she let his glasses fall back in place she made a mental note to one day fund a program for making a perfect person. Maybe they'll bend the fabric of space and time. "So what's a genie lamp look like? Is it like those arabic things that you see on television shows?" She asked, opening the book back up to her page.

~Hello, I'm Luca~
"You have me mistaken for my elder brother.."
Luca tilted his head towards the words of the faye girl. "It's not my place to say....besides my father wouldn't appreciate it" Luca said shyly yet defensively towards Elfriede. Then he was being examined by the girl. Luca was blushing extremely then. "W-what?"Luca asked all flustered and shy. What was this fairy girl doing?! Has she ever heard of personal space? The bubble? Luca then fumbled and fixed his glasses as the girl was finished looking over him. "U--ummmm a Djinn's lamp is different from anothers"Luca stated slightly regaining his cool. Luca was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable around her. "Some of our lamps are..the stereotypical lamp as TV shows." Luca finished explaining to the girl.
Elfriede nodded her head slightly at his refusal to tell his father's flaw. She could see that. He seemed like a good magically created creature that lives in a lamp. Yeah. Instead she focused on what he said after. Ignoring, or generally not paying attention to his awkwardness at being looked over. "So, if I were a genie, or djinn, whatever. I could have one of those standing lamps as my lamp? You know the ones that you put on the floor and they're all tall and everything." She said. "If I was one of you I'd probably have that as a lamp, so the poor soul whose my master would have to carry it around all the time." Elfriede looked up at Luca who was still standing. "So, are you going to sit down while I talk to you, or stay standing, cause this is a little awkward for me. It's like you're giving me a report or something."

~Hello, I'm Luca~
"You have me mistaken for my elder brother.."
"It's pronounced Djinn. If you were speaking to my sister, Asmarda she would probably kill you for saying Genie" Luca said tilting his head. It was at this point Luca was just saying random information. Sitting back down, Luca adjusted his glasses and looked to the sky. "We don't make our own lamps...our natural making makes them." Luca said cryptically towards Elfriede. Luca was getting very curious on why she was so interested in the Djinns."What brings forth all these questions of my family and I?"Luca aske turning his head over to her. Tilting his head slightly in curiosity. He was beginning to feel more uneasy around this girl. If this kept up, he would see her as a threat.
Luka was somewhat startled by the sudden demand for an explanation. Jumping back a bit in intimidation of the girl's tone, she immediately bowed in apology. "..I'm sorry M'am, it's just.." She paused, unable to articulate her words properly. "Forgive me for being too bold but if you're just going to fiddle on your phone, what would be the purpose of coming out here?" She tilted her head again, Luka did in fact have a point. A valid one at that.
No one took the time to look up these days, if you're just going to be on your phone or tablet, what's the point of coming outside? "I mean.. It's lovely out, the weather is so nice this time of year and the trees and sky look so beautiful. You should take this time to enjoy the world around you." Again, she had a point. "Humans take this temporary state called 'Life' for granted, you never know when he'll get bored and throw you away."
The corner of Elfriede's lip twitched in a way that almost looked like a smile before it was gone. "I think this is the first time you've asked me a question. Well, let's see. I like knowing things. Yes, while I may not be exactly human, these things are still new to me since I found this out pretty recently." She leaned back on the bench and put her head back, blowing a puff of air from her lips into her bangs. They shot up, revealing her forehead and continued to float there, shifting with the slightest air current. Sitting back up with her bangs and strands of hair floating here like an octopus and their from the movement and looked at the djinn. "While it is hard to believe my hair, or my body can be lighter than air, it does have it's entertainment purposes. Other than that, I like knowing things. There are all kinds of interesting 'people' here with abilities that I know nothing about, so why not get to know about them?" She said. "Aren't you ever interested in finding out about something that you don't know? Of course you are, or you wouldn't have asked me why I was so curious." After a pause she stared into his eyes behind his glasses, the slight suspicion there. "Oh, so you want to know if I want a lamp right? What else could that look be for. To answer your unspoken question, yes, I have a wish, and yes, if I were to have a lamp I would use it to make that wish. However, my wish doesn't really need a lamp. It'd just make things more convenient. And i don't really need three wishes, so unless I can end the little contract with just one, it seems like a lot of trouble to deal with. Plus I have this book, and I have you, who, quite literally can grant my wish by answering a question." She gave Luca a thumbs up and turned the page in the book. He was right, the book did get the synapses firing.
