The invisible one had sat quietly through everything, though no matter how much noise she might or might not make was immaterial, just like her form at the moment. None would really know. She watched the situation with those three brothers transpire, and shortly thereafter saw another visitor appear. And now, there was a new person...a slender, blond child; who seemed very much as though he'd been born with a platinum spoon in his mouth. The two of the brothers would attempt to deal with the situation, though their involvement was what could be charitably referred to as 'temporary'.
She ambled to the door to peek closer at this newcomer, unconsciously brushing against Areya's side in the process. At this proximity, she could smell a demon on the boy, and turned her head to the side, placing a paw over her nose as if to rub the scent away. Samarah hardly got along with demons. They usually get in the way; or attempt to mislead her wards directly into chaos, pain, suffering and ultimately, death. Such beings have a taste for human souls. To detect a demon's presence upon one so young was an unfortunate curiosity. Though in any case, she had nothing to do with this wayward child, and nor would she begin to concern herself now unless he caused a great deal of trouble.
[ OOC /// IMPORTANT: For strictly plot related reasons, do not, under any circumstances (unless stated otherwise by myself or Areya), claim that your character is able to perceive Samarah directly. She is currently only able to be glimpsed as a ghostly figure out the corner of one's eye. Claiming that your character can sense a fleeting, indistinct presence is one thing, but kindly make no extraordinary claims about a being able to solidly perceive a being which doesn't fully exist on this plane yet.
This is something which will eventually change, but please understand why I'm saying this. I am in no way attempting to godmod.]

Steele Keaton Stasis
Steele turned his gaze to Areya when she asked if he had something to do with the unaccompanied minor in the building, then took another drag from his cigarette. He was kind of curious as to why she would ask if he had any part in a random child showing up in a place that he couldn't leave and judging by the kid's attitude, he wouldn't drag that kid to a grocery store, let alone his new place of residence. He held up a finger and pulled a white board and marker from his bag before popping the cap on the said writing utensil and began writing on it before turning it to shower her. 'I don't know the kid.' It read.
He took a few steps towards the child, making sure to give him his space, then leaned forwards and took a few whiffs. To Steele, the kid smelled odd, but then again, everyone has their favorite soap and some people just aren't fond of certain scents. He still couldn't understand why he was so unsettled by the kid's presence. Maybe it was the child's personality?
The Heart Bound Shadow
Location: Foyer Company: Our Keeper and some kid. Thoughts: Wasn't me.
Areya waited patiently as Steele wrote on the white board. She had only known him a few hours and was already starting to learn a few things about him. Such as he never talked. In all the proceedings that happened it was one or the other brother, but not a peep from him. Interesting. She began to rub her temples as the headache increased. Once he finished writing about not knowing the kid, Areya looked at him, "I suppose not, but it does seem strange that he would show on the same night that you and your brother's showed up unannounced."
Looking back at the boy, "Well kid, what's up? To shy to answer or cat got your tongue?"

Alois stared at the one who'd come up to him stuffing his face with fruit of some kind... and then promptly turned and left. He could feel his temper rising. But before he could open his mouth the other one, stuck his tongue out and Alois could see an eye upon the tip of it that abruptly shut. He arched a brow ever so slightly. Now that was one heck of a demon marking. He wondered what kind of demon left that kind of mark.
His attention was pulled from the oh so silent one to a woman that came down. Her attitude towards him grated on his nerves already. Tch, seemed like everyone in this place was as bad as him in attitude.. Not something he was used to dealing with lately. The silent one suddenly pulled out a board and began to write on it. His curiosity was perked, what was that? It didn't look like any notebook he'd ever seen. Was the one with an eye on his tongue mute? He scowled as the male came closer and he could hear him inhaling as if he were some dog sniffing at a new guest
"OI!! Keep your nose to yourself." He snapped at him as he stood up off the door. He stared at the woman once more and those clear blue eyes narrowed. He paused something seemingly in the corner of his eye, but when he looked nothing was there. Ugh, this place was annoying.
"For your information It's not kid. I'm Earl Alois Trancy!" he snapped at her putting both his hands on his hips and leaning slightly forward. His pale blue eyes cold as ice, as he stared at the two of them.
"And I wasn't alone, my butler seems to have gone missing after we hit some sort of rough patch in the road, and so has my carriage driver. Neither thing I'm pleased about. And now your piss poor attitudes tell me you're probably all servants of whoever owns this dilapidated pile of junk manor. I want to talk to the owner right now!" he snapped at them. His foot stomped slightly on the floor as he looked between them. These servants had some poor attitudes for meeting a guest of his stature! Well as soon as he found Claude, he'd make sure these three learned their lessons for being rude to him!! He'd have the lot of them fired!

Areya Stormbringer
Sakaiden
OOC- ((Good lord getting those quotes to work with me tonight >.< Theyso didn't want to LOL))
Areya couldn't believe her ears. The haughtiness coming out of this boy's mouth was enough to make her want to slap him. But she had dealt with spoiled boys and girls before and was prepared to deal with this one too. But damn her headache seemed to be putting her in a foul mood. She thought she was even getting blurred vision from it.
"Well, this is the Stormbringer Estate and you are speaking to the owner. I am Lady Areya Stormbringer and this is my home." She copied the boys stance. "And if you wish to stay here until we have found out what happened to your driver and butler you need to show me and my staff a bit more respect."
Areya then took another look at the boy, "I wonder how it is you even made it onto the estate actually. You see this place isn't for normal beings to come to. It's a place of magic where evil isn't allowed in. Alois was it? Well, Alois what kind of magic do you posses that would allow you to cross the fog's thresh hold and enter here?"

He blinked a few times staring at the woman.... this... this was supposed to be the Lady of the estate?!?! He stared at her a few more moments.. and then burst into laughter, his shoulders shaking with mirth. She had to be kidding!! That style of clothing, her attitude and the way her servants behaved. She had to be joking thinking he'd believe she was the proper lady of the estate. Finally his mirth died down and he coughed slightly. Ahh that had been far too funny. Though his blue eyes widened slightly and then narrowed as she spoke of Magic and the fog around the estate. Now that he thought about it, it had been a bit foggy before he'd dozed off in the carriage and Claude had told him of some Demons who could create barriers.. perhaps he'd found one such place. This could become quite interesting. He'd play along for now, and see what happened for now anyway.
"So.. you're what passes as the Lady of the Estate in this part of.... wherever I am.." he muttered and then sighed and titled his head pushing his blond hair from his blue eyes once more. He looked between the silent one and the so called Lady..
"And you speak openly of magic...as if nobody would cart you off to an institution for saying it's real and used openly here..... how interesting... "He said then he shrugged and crossed his arms once more. Well if she spoke so openly about things like that, and talked of Evil not being allowed, seemed like she was probably already half insane, so he supposed he might as well talk about Claude. It wasn't like he cared if some nobody in a place like this heard about it. He could always have Claude kill them later if they tried to leak his secret... well when ever he found that blasted demon!!
"I have no magic myself. I'm just a human, though I am currently contracted to a demon till my wish is fulfilled and he devours my soul." the way he said that though, it was almost as if Alois longed for his wish to be done with already and to be consumed by his demon. He sighed slightly and then continued.
"Claude Faustus is his name, currently serving as my butler. " he said to her frankly and a bit dismissively. He watched them both curious as to their reaction to that bit of information.
"As for how I got here, I've no bloody idea. I was returning from a job, and dozed off. Next thing I knew the carriage was shaking and now I don't recognize this bit of England, nor can I find Claude.. " he said as he uncrossed his arms and put his hands on his hips.
"Care to explain Lady Stormbringer?" he said to her
Alright, Alois' laughing at her had changed Areya's mind quickly. She could not handle a snit like this right now. But there really was nothing she could do either. The boy was here and there was no way to send him back at the present moment. She would have to deal with him whether she wanted to or not. Areya walked over to the wall and pulled on the service bell to the Mistress of Keys. While waiting for her she would finish talking with the boy.
Areya also looked over at Steele, yep silent as ever. She wondered about his thoughts on the boy but didn't bother to ask. He was probably lost in his own thoughts anyhow.
After Alois finished speaking, things became a little more clear to Areya. "So, it's a demon's magic attached to you then. That would explain how you were able to come through the fog. And if you say that your butler was the demon then that also explains why he isn't with you." As the Mistress of Keys showed up Areya explained that they would need yet another set of forms from the office for a guest. And to Areya's not so suprised look, the Mistress already had the papers in hand. Areya had to hand it to her, the Mistress always seemed prepared for everything.
"As I stated before the magic here is old and does not allow anything past it's entrance it sees as evil. A demon would be evil and therefore your butler would not be allowed entrance." Areya mused to what the demon could be thinking stuck on the other side of the fog and not able to reach his victim. Headache or not that would be a sight to see. "Since you will be staying with us for a time it seems, I will need you to fill out this paper work and put your thumb print in the red wax there at the bottom of the page." She handed the boy the papers and quill. "But all of this still does not explain what happened to your driver. If we can find him then we can get you on your way back to England."

Alois arched a brow ever so slightly. Hn.. this woman was interesting. He looked outside at his carriage and then back to Lady Stormbringer. It was late, and he was tired, that's why he'd dozed off in the carriage anyway. His nose wrinkled as he was handed paperwork to fill out.
"Tch.. this is the job of servants " he muttered as he skimmed the paper. He frowned and his cold blue eyes fixed on her when she said he had to press his thumb into the wax. That sounded more like he was signing a contract of some kind... he read over the paper once more. It didn't seem like a binding contract to him. Still he was no expert in these things. He depended upon Claude to evaluate the dangers of things like this, and yet his demon was absent. Supposedly locked outside the barrier. He had two options. Sign, and possibly be denying his demon his meal.. or don't sign and spend an uncomfortable night in the carriage. He tilted his head and then smirked lightly. Well he would sign it he supposed. Alois Trancy wasn't his given name anyway, it was just one he'd adopted, so binding contract or not, it should be negated by not using his real name. Alois signed the contract aqs Earl Alois Trancy, then after looking at her once more, warily pressed his thumb into the oddly warm wax. That part bothered him, he didn't wish to do it, but he supposed at this time he didn't have much of a choice.
"I'll expect your servants to bring my belongings in and to put my carriage and horse in your stable. Provided you have one at this place. " he said as he handed back the papers.
"Now show me to my room. ' he demanded putting his hands on his hips once more. Tomorrow he'd be leaving this place and getting back to Claude. He had other jobs for the Queen to take care of. Phantomhive wasn't one to sit idly for long, and the Queen's Spider always had to be around to clean up after him.
Areya took the paper work from Alois and looked it over. Her eyes widened a bit as his signature changed and she smirked. "Of coarse we have a stable here, we're not some back water estate you know. As for your bags and things they are already being taken care of and the Mistress here will see you to your room. But I will warn you," she bent down and whispered in his ear, "she does not take kindly to being treated badly and won't hesitate on slapping you across the face if it pleases her, Jim."
With that Areya walked away from the others in the foyer and headed to her office yet again to file the paper work and pray there were no more distractions that night so she could get to her bed and sleep the headache away.

Alois watched as her eyes widened slightly and then narrowed. This place stunk of things he didn't like. He was leaving tomorrow, that much he was assured of. He looked at the so called Mistress and then he blinked as she leaned close. His own eyes widened, how the hell did she know that name?!?! He took a slight breath, and then pulled up his pissed off mask and he looked at her then he said coldly.
"If that name ever crosses your lips again I'll kill you myself. " he said, furry in his voice. If she heard him or not he didn't care, that was a promise, Alois didn't mind getting his hands dirty, they were already soaked in blood. Inside he was cursing himself though, that must have been a magical binding contract of some kind. There was no other way she would have learned his filthy original name. Tch, as much as it would have been a pain... he should have slept in the carriage. He looked at the Mistress his lips sneering slightly, and decided to give her fair warning.
"Slap me and I'll gouge your eye out as I did Hannah's" he added and would start towards the stairs. He didn't like this place, he didn't like these people, and he didn't have his Claude. Alois was feeling rather on edge now, his sleep was likely to be a little less then he'd originally anticipated. Damned place, he'd burn it down on his way out.. . He took a slow breath, and once in his room would slam the door and lock it, before making his way to the bed.
"Claude.. you'd better find a way to get your a** inside here, and it had better be soon. " he muttered as he yanked off his boots and flopped back on the comfortable bed. It reminded him of home... actually the entire room did. He sighed slightly as he shifted and got more comfortable on the bed then stared into the dim light of the room. Just what kind of contract had he signed? How long until Claude came to fetch him? Damned smug spider.. at least he could taunt the demon over getting trapped outside of someone else's barrier. The thoughts would swirl around in his head, both a bother to him and a cold comfort... until he drifted off to sleep finally.

After having filed the Alois boys paper work, Areya walked out of her office closing the door behind her. She shook her head thinking about what he had yelled behind her when she walked away from him. Somehow she didn't doubt he would try to kill her, after all he did have a demon in contract. But shaking her head was the wrong thing to do. Areya's headache intensified a bit more and made her dizzy. She made it down the hall and stood for a moment at the staircase in the foyer looking up the stairs and holding on to the banister.
Once the dizziness had passed she finally started up the stairs and reaching the crest turned right to head to her room. What a day this had been, she thought. It had seemed so typical this morning sending the previous guests off and a quiet afternoon sipping tea out in the gardens. But once the sun set all kinds of interesting people and things began to happen. First feeling the presence of her new staff and confronting them. Then a guest showing up early and finally the boy with an attitude for 10 smug earls and lords. And on top of all of that was this headache.
Areya never got sick and very rarely in her life had headaches let alone one like she was experiencing now. She really couldn't figure out why it came about. Once she reached her room she immediately walked through the sitting area and into her living space. There she collapsed on the bed hugging her pillow tight and fell right to sleep without even changing into her night clothes.

Areya sat straight up in her bed. Her mind was a buzz with the nightmares she had been having all night. Her heart was racing and she felt sick to her stomach. She had never had nightmares but she knew from other's descriptions of them what it was. She couldn't remember everything but what she could remember had her shaking. Demons, blood, screaming from both humans and demons. It was to much for her, she jumped up and ran to the bathroom hugging the toilet as she heaved into it over and over again.
After fifteen or so minutes her stomach was done and she was able to stand up. Could things get any stranger than this she thought. All the events from last night the headache and now the nightmares. As she looked out the window and noticed it was beginning to be day light, Areya put all the events into the back of her mind. She had guests that were going to be showing up shortly and needed to get ready. She stripped out of yesterday's clothes and jump in the shower enjoying the feel of the running water over her and refreshing her. Once done with the shower Areya put on her favorite dress of gold, red, and black then headed downstairs to her office.
Now that she was sitting at her desk, she rang for the coachman and sent him on his way to the entrance of the estate to greet the new guests and give them a lift up to the mansion. While he was gone she sent for the chef making sure that he had the breakfast feast well under way and ready to serve once everyone was there and the other guests, residents and crew came down from their rooms. It was a new day and hopefully the events from last night did not influence how the next few months went. All that was left to do now was wait to hear the coachman's bell announcing the arrival of the new guests.

Nicholas Marlowe
Location: Outside of Estate/ Entrance of Estate Company: Alone
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nick wasn't sure he remembered exactly how he learned of the Stormbringer Estate, which is unusual for him since he's a stickler for details but at this point he didn't really care. He really needed some time to relax and gather himself for the search of his father. Time to figure out a new way to go about it since it always seemed to lead him to dead ends.
He looked up at the fog and felt a sense of familiarity with it. It was dense dark and very grey not a usual fog at all. Something like this he would have remembered coming across before. He looked down his left and then to the right. The fog seemed to be an endless entity, well either way he was stepping through. As Nick took the first step he became dizzy for a moment and lost track of time. This happened to him from time to time since he was a teen. No one could diagnose what was wrong with him or why it happened. He was practically through the fog by the time he came back to himself and stepped out of it the last few seconds.
Nick looked around and saw that he was the first to arrive. The carriage and driver were already there though, so Nick greeted the man gave him his bags and crawled up inside the carriage waiting for the other guests. He loosened his tie leaned back in the seat put his head back and closed his eyse to rest for a bit.
What he didn't know was as he came through the fog he had an unwanted stowaway. It was a tiny termite that happened to feed on magic. And as soon as Nick had entered the grounds of the Estate the termite left him in search of sustenance.
Lorrana Thames
mood ; frustrated where ; outside the fog company ; no one
Her feet slapped upon the ground, the soles of her cheap boots near falling apart, and her curled hair a bit frazzled. She had been walking for at least three days straight - no breaks or stopping. Even as a half fae, Lorrana could grow tired, which was a bother. She was on a mission. Ever since her arrival on this hellish plane of existence, she had been devoid of any magical contact. No otherworldly beings like herself had crossed her path. And yet... Deep within, a scratching in her skull it sometimes felt like, something had surfaced.
Lorrana hadn't the faintest clue as to what it was, or where it originated, or what was within. All the young half human-half fae woman knew was that she was lonely. Perhaps the loneliest being on Earth. She had no friends to speak of at the moment. Her closest friend had died just recently - she had turned the ripe old human age of eighty-two. Eighty-two, she thought to herself. She couldn't even remember that far back to her own eighty-second birthday.
A small hand raised to rub at tired, hazel eyes, followed by a frustrated groan. Was this some sort of phantom fooling with her - a trick on her mind? On the brink of giving up and heading to the last place she had called home (Brooklyn, New York), Lorrana, aka Evaleith, rose her gaze an instant before she stepped into an unknowable fog. It was dense, dark, and above all: unnatural. She had been on this plane for quite some time, and knew what their fog looked like, and this was certainly abnormal. It also just sort of... began, she noted. There was little break between the fog and the present area she was standing in, two feet outside of it. With a hesitant hand and her own magic at the ready, Lorrana slowly leaned forward to let her hand slip through the fog. She could scarce see it. But the pull had become stronger she had noticed as soon as she had slid her hand into the dense fog. With a quick beating heart that was suddenly in her throat, Lorrana practically jumped in.
As her feet landed, the distance her vision could see was a little better. What IS this place?! Hurrying along, the woman soon came upon what appeared to be a carriage, sitting there... As if it were waiting. For who, she did not know. With even greater caution than she had when leaping into the fog, Lorrana stepped tentatively toward the carriage.
"Hello?" She called out, not too loudly, and peered around, unsure if there would be an answer.
Her feet stepped with a light pace making little sound even as the young girl ran across the dirt roads. Rocks and small twigs that had loss their ways in the recent stores did little to affect her at this point. From her memory Gen had owned very few pairs of shoes in her existence and the ones she did were uncomfortable and tight. The small girl much rather prefer to avoid the clothing entirely.
Light breath beat against the porcelain mask that covered her icy skin although it did little to bother her. Seeing what seemed to be a bottled storm, so to say, the running pace Gen had found herself in faded to a gentle walk as the emotionless mask stared upon it. It was most definitely fog; that much was clear. However it was an odd kind of fog in which the young girl had found herself a loss to if she had ever seen anything like it.
Spotting a carriage Gen walked up to where the line of sight disappeared figuring that she could go no further without permission. She was sure they were expecting her, everywhere she went people were expecting her letters in one way or another. Perhaps they didn’t know exactly when it would come but people always seemed to know it was indeed coming.
Letting out a small sigh and dusting off her worn dress, Gen stared at her feet for a moment. A bit of blood was being soaked up but the current bandages that she had tied across her stockings. Making a mental note to replace them later the girl looked over to spot another man who seemed to be waiting to gain access to the estate.
Tilting her head towards him the girl walked over to the carriage spotting the driver as well. As he offered to take her backpack Gen shook her head not wanting to give up her belongings. She’d much rather just carry them herself. Take a moment to look around her surroundings, Gen let out a small sigh once more climbing into the carriage and sitting against the door knowing that she wanted out first when the time came.
