Maya Post 3Maya crossed her arms over her chest as she glanced around the crowd, absorbing as much information about each voiced opinion as she could. Some of the sisters seemed rather heated about the situation and she wondered if they realized they were acting like feral Janarim. She would have settled on the word 'idiot' in the case of some but that would only start a fight that had no point. A strange pink p***k in the back of her mind had the Guardian looking around, catching sight of Ariya she smiled and was about to move in her direction when Yansa spoke. Her concentration shifted to the warrior woman, she had respect for Yansa. The very sister who had guided her in saving an earthling babe and the one that had given her status among their people. Her gaze narrowed as she noticed the frustration in the leader. As they seemed to return talking to themselves Maya's antenna twitched in unison at the sound of her name being called out. Turning to see V'demhe, Maya waved slowly in return. The isle was hostile, and Maya was glad that Teiluj had insisted on not joining her. "What is it V'demhe?" Maya asked though her attention was quickly pulled yet again as more alkidike returned to the shore, her gaze narrowed on them as they spoke of the 'weak earthlings' and owning the world. Owning the world had been their thinking many years ago, but hadn't time changed that? She supposed not, after all there was still the deep embedded scorn for hybrids like her daughter. "Has everyone forgotten the true reason we are here? To honor mother! We are all so busy bickering over the fact that one of our mystics is gone and possible reasons behind her absence that we've completely abandoned our sacred mother. The real reason we are here."

Jerarda Post 3Jerarda found her attention drawn to the elders as Yansa stepped forward she spoke. While listening to her speak she nodded her head absently her hand tightening around Shima's when the word infant was used. "We had fought together with the earthlings when war threatened our lands and now we wish to turn on them? Is this the sort of people we've become?" Jerarda called out knowing full well that if they alienated the earthlings...something much more sinister than Obans would be threatening them next. Growling she looked to Niabi, giving a small shake of her head as she tried to recal the question asked of her. "Ah..yes..this is my daughter Shima." She managed before looking to Voll who was shouting out her own views on the subject at hand. Shima Post 3Shima didn't really understand why everyone was yelling, she got the sense the people were unhappy her mother included but...was this was a celebration was suppose to be like? It didn't at all seem like fun just screaming at each other... and she had been taught that arguing with her brother and sister by shouting wasn't okay. "Ma...why don't their mama's tell them to stop yelling?" She inquired innocently enough before turning her attention to Niabi before giving her a large if shy smile. She waved her little fingers at her before she tugged away from her mom wanting to get a closer look at Voll and her largeness. "Ma didn't want to bring me...are all celebra.cel...parties loud like this?" She inquired reaching to try and latch onto Voll's leg against her mothers will.

V'demhe Post 4 She moved closer to Maya, bringing her elderly mother along with her, and stopped when she was close enough to whisper to the woman. "We need to get word out to the earthlings. If things continue like this then it could mean war." Dem was frowning. Her mother put a hand on her arm and gently patted and it was then that she realized she had failed to introduce the two. "Ah, forgive me. Mother, this is Maya. She's the one that sent me home that one time. Maya, this is my mother, V'denri." When Maya mentioned the true reason they were there she nodded her head in agreement. She also had to wonder if Yansa and Eshe were losing their influence over the sisters if there was such a divide between them. Wrapping an arm about her mother's shoulders she drew the elderly woman closer, not wanting an extremist to get to close. "Too bad neither of us has a Kinfa that we could send with a message." Dem was almost sure they would notice if a sister left the island at a time like this.

(Note: I'm not feeling very well today, sorry if my responses are short/sucky)
Tahigwa, post 3
Tahigwa visibly straightened and tensed as Kadriye approached her and sucked in a breath as she spoke. She really had to think her words through from now on, didn't she? She didn't want to argue, or really fight, with a Mystic she respected. Once Kadriye finished speaking, the Warrior removed her hands from the hilt of her swords and bowed her head.
"I understand and I respect your stance, Kadriye." She replied, her gaze moving upward as Yansa and Eshe spoke. "... But I hope you can understand that I will not respect Aselia for inspiring such hatred and fear among the youth. My loyalty and respect remains with Aisha, Yansa, Eshe, and you, but it will never belong to Aselia."
Her moment of calm vanished as the boat arrived on shore, and the words from behind her sent her back into a rage. The earthlings were weak? They had the rights to Tendaji? How dare they? She grit her teeth, growled, and drew her swords.
"None of you will be going anywhere if I have anything to say about it!" She screamed, shoving through the crowd to get to the shore. "I will fight for the safety of my brother's people until my blood stains the sands red and my last breath is ripped from my lungs! If you want to go anywhere or do anything, you will need to fight me first!"

Joweese, post 2
Joweese's shoulders arched as her mother and everyone else continued to bicker. Zahra was right, this was supposed to be a festival, not a place to argue! She grabbed onto Zahra's hand and looked to her as she suggested racing to wherever uncle Yaho was. It sounded appealing, but how would they get all the way to Yera without knowing the way? And, even if they could get off the isles, who was to say that the extremists wouldn't try to stop them? She wiggled in place.
"I... I don't know Zahra!" She exclaimed, pinning her head to her sister's shoulder as their mother ran to the shore. "I just wish this arguing would stop!"

Nyah, post 2
Well, things certainly seemed to be heating up. Nyah cocked her head to the side at all the chatter and watched Tahigwa and her nieces carefully, all while Sid wiggled himself onto the back of her dreads and began to preen. Why was everyone arguing so much? This was supposed to be a festival, which meant fun, food, and good feelings, not war, threats, and anger. The prentice eased herself up from her position on her belly and sat, her legs swaying a moment, before she looked towards Eshe, Yansa, and Aisha. Wasn't there something they could do? After all, Eshe said that they didn't see a reason for war right now, and Nyah believed she was right. There was plenty of time after the festival to talk about killing things, couldn't these other Sisters wait a little while?
Her mouth twisted as Tahigwa raced to the shore. Okay, Tahi was being just as bad as these extremists with the way she was acting. Nyah didn't feel comfortable watching her, or them, and found herself looking to Aisha again. Why weren't Kadriye and Eshe asking Aisha for her opinion? This seemed like something that only Mother Aisha could decide. ... Maybe they didn't like her opinion and that was why the elders weren't speaking up for her? Nah, the Mystics were Aisha's only way of communicating with the rest of the Alkidike, they couldn't ignore her. ... So, then why was she being quiet? Nyah stood and crept towards the elders, before snaking her way down from the trees and directly next to them.
"What does Aisha think of all of this?" She asked, quietly, her hand reaching out to Eshe. "I don't know about her, but I'm not comfortable at all. ... Isn't there anything you can do? Please?"

Lumikani Post 4
Anya was right in that Lumikani wouldn't strike her back for her words, but she was wrong in that Lumikani wouldn't verbally attack back as well. The energy of the entire tribe was building up, and Elsheba could only do so much to calm the reckless streak in the smallest of the triplets. Lumikani would always be vocal and fight for what she felt she wanted, and if Anya wanted to hiss and spit, well she would get it right back - especially when Elsheba wasn't pre-emptive in stopping the confrontation from starting.
"You know nothing of what I think, Anya, so don't go assuming you can sweep in here and lecture me like a youngling." Her eyes were narrowed and her face set, and she felt the urge to prove to both of her sisters that she was much stronger and wiser than they seemed to assume. And suddenly, Tahigwa's hissing and spitting was just the way to do that. Lumikani spun to watch the sister who had no name scream that she would fight against them, condem them, despite her claims of loyalty to Aisha.
She had to speak.
"Sister, you claim loyalty to Aisha. Aisha is in all of us, she brought all of us here, bloomed all of us and gave all of us life. She looked over all of us and keeps all of us safe. So when you choose your brother over your sisters you are choosing others over Aisha."
Each word she said, she said with confidence. Each word she said, she took a step closer to the newcomers and the seething Tahigwa. When she finished, however, she was still far enough away to take no harm if Tahigwa determined to fight. She crossed her arm, but she continued with her loud yell.
"I may be young, but I still remember my place in this word, and in this ceremony. I remember my duty to our great mother. Maybe you need a reminder before you open your mouth and choose your future actions."

Scarlett Arbuckle Sorry for mulitple quotes! Editing things in... DraconicFeline Almost forgot to adress Yitzah! Edited in her response for you~ You just got to see a bad sibling spat. Anya post 4 She nodded in agreement with her sisters words; they did have a responsibility to stop this from happening.. it wouldn't do any good to have more hate directed towards them!
"Apparently.. or maybe people are just ... ignoring the whole point of this festival and taking advantuage of a young mystic's actions... Why do people spew this type of filth?" She responded to a girl her age's comment. And then Lumi pissed her off. How could she say that? How could she think that? "I thought I knew you.. but apparently the Lumi I knew who likes climbing trees and is a decent person is missing right now." Anya retorted with a scowl at her shorter triplet. "Apparently the stranger in front of me thinks that people who kill hybrids just because their parents fell in love are a bad thing. Apparently you want to turn into something like that." She pointed at Tahigwa, the tall very angry and aggressive and too over the top Alkidike if you asked Anya. "Because that's what extremists act like.. on both sides of this conflict."
But her words weren't heard; for her sister had walked away already... she turned to her older sister; "Why did this happen Elsheba? Why is Lumi turning into some stranger who wants to kill people and take their homes away?" She didn't know this Lumi..

Lavender Hues ( No problems, get well soon) Kadriye post 3Kadriye was relived when Yansa stepped forward to take charge, that she agreed with the sister's words didn't hurt either. Of course her pleasure was quickly soured when more sisters came ashore shouting for blood and conquest. Did they not see that this was not how one waged war? Could they not understand that while Aisha's chosen would not be denied all of Tendaji that they must plan the spreading of their influence and power so as to be victorious but noble. Yes Aisha had borne them as a fierce and strong race but they were not savage unthinking beasts. To unite all of Tendaji under Aisha would take far more time and planning then these loud mouthed sisters seemed willing to wait for. To Tahigwa, whose named she'd heard whispered by the crowd, she had offered a curt nod. They did not agree on several things and it seemed the sister was riled up again by the newcomers but at least there need be no bloodshed between the two of them. When a soft spoken sister as Eshe about Aisha's opinion Kadriye smiled slightly. While the great mother could not make all decisions for her people and they must be responsible for their actions it was good so see members of the tribe who wanted to know how she felt. "I will not allow harm to come to sisters who are looking only to show their respect to Aisha." She could do little about the other alkidike's discomfort but she could protect her. Briella would surely watch her back while she guarded others.

Kiunyki (Post 1 because rules) Kiki grinned as she heard the new group of extremists join the party. She changed direction, heading for them and slipping into place in their group. ”They are weak and Tendaji is already ours!” she called, her voice joining theres, ”Time to take it back!” And every word she said, she believed. She just wished her mother would understand...
Yitzah (Post 2) Yitzah watched the girl in front of her fight with other girls, vaguely interested. When the other one – Yitzah didn't bother to tell the difference – started getting hotheaded about it, Yitzah stirred.
”Yeah.” she grunted to Anya, ”They spew it 'cause they're sick in the stomach, I'm guessing. Or the head.” Yitzah said carelessly, sliding off her rock, ”Wanna bet its got something to do with the food?” After having good Oban cooking for a while, the food at the festival was as crap as the rest of the festival.
She went to stand by Anya, watching impassively as everybody shouted at each other. ”I just want to say, you all are idiots. All of you. Why is anybody thinking about going to stupid Sauti when there's bigger things at home? What about the Bug Monsters?” she asked, stumbling somewhat over the words. They were just words, but the beast they represented haunted her nightmares.

Dyakida (Post 2) ”This is absurd. Dyakida said, loudly, ”Absurd.” she grit her teeth. ”Our sisters are not thinking at all.” More extremists, from the sound of it. More Alkidikes who wanted to race, whooping wildly, into the middle of Sauti and take it for their own. ”Kadriye,” she said, turning towards the Mystic's voice, ”I beg of you. Do something more than protect. This must be stopped.”Kaalnia (Post 1 because rules) Kaalnia grimaced as she caught sight of her daughter amidst the extremists. Great. Now she wouldn't be able to drag Kiki out of here without a fuss. She looked around her, not happy to see that this stupid concept of war was actually getting traction. That meant that this might actually happen. That meant that there would be more Alkidike bodies to pull from the rubble, more Sisters to bury. ”Kiki!” she called, though she didn't really have much hope of success, ”Get back here, girl!”

Briella - Post ThreeShe put her hand on Dyakida's shoulders. "There is not much more that she can do at this point. The elders need to all step in. I think that it would be the only way to really smooth things over."
Kadriye was powerful on her own, but she wasn't all powerful. "If you want to get closer and talk to them though. I'll be right behind you." she said to Kadriye as she looked her girlfriend in the eyes. Nothing would happen to her on Briella's watch.
Ilyra - Post ThreeAt watching Kadriye and Tahigwa talk Ilyra seemed to calm down. She wouldn't have to pick between the two of them. Suddenly Dyakida appeared. She wanted to talk to her about a new set of bow and arrows that fit her new rank, but this wasn't the time.
She was about to say something when she noticed that her aunt was calling out to someone in the extremist side. "Please tell me Kiki isn't my cousin..." she asked Dyakida, sure that she would know the name of her cousin.

Vollerei post 4
"No." She said softly to the small child trying to latch on to her leg; "Normally it's not this.. agnry moise. Mostlyt eh sound is of laughter, gossiping, music... fun things. This isn't a party. It's a disaster. Best you stay next to your mother in case some of the idiots about here decide to do something rash.. like that one." She muttered as she eyed the girl she'd once known but felt like the grown up version was a complete stranger.
She sighed; "Best I try and stop blood from being shed on our beaches. That rash idiot is just making things worse!" She patted Naiabis hand. "You should stay by Jerarda too.." She stalked off towards the beach as well, eyes hard.
"Enough is enough little sister!" She bellowed at Tahigwa. "Today is a holy day.. a day we should be honoring our Mother.. not picking fights! Not screaming and making a bad situation worse!" She softened her voice. "Your actions just drive people away from you... it is doing nothing to convince others that attacking Suati is wrong.. it jut makes you look as bad as the extremists who go hybrid hunting. Can't you see that?" She did not have her spear on her.. she hadn't expected to need it... But if need be she'd sit on Tahigwa until the girl saw reason and stopped screaming so much!
She turned to the newly arrived idiot who had apparently never fought a real earthling warrior before and believed that they could just waltz in and conquer. "In case you hadn't realized.. we lost against the Obans... does that not make us as weak as them? Did they not act just as you are now acting? Saying that they had the right to the lands? Didn't we go and stop them because they didn't? Have we not tried to take Juahur and failed? We only got a part of it! Does that not show you that the earthlings have strength of their own?"

NIABI POST 4
Niabi smiled down to Shima and her questions of the celebration. This most definitely wasn't the norm, but Vollerei had already taken the words out of her mouth to answer her. When Vollerei went to pull the little girl off of her legs, Niabi already had her hands out to help pull her towards herself while Volle stood.
"Maybe next year you can come back and it will be better." She smiled to the girl. She watched as Vollerei left the group and stood up to the Sister spewing hate from all ends. It was a silly thing really. It would seem there were extremists for both sides, and she couldn't really agree with either.

Zahra Post 4Zahra's eyes went rather wide when her mother seemed to react in a manner more violent then her own reaction. She was more then surprised when she was suddenly charging toward the extremists, something that had her dark eyes going wide, "Ah..." Turning her head to one side she looked at Joweese, her eyes wide, "Jowe-Jo?" She blinked a couple times before wrapping an arm around her twin, hugging her close, before giving her a kiss on the top of the head, "It's going to be alright, Jojo. I'm here." He told her twin in a gentle manner, really hating how serious things were here. Zahra and her twin had grown up in a big family, one that allowed the to screw around and make trouble, even until most recently. Her antennae gave a little twitch before she looked toward her sister, then toward her mother again, "We should maybe try to stop mother, to get them to..." She trailed off when one of her sisters spoke up. Some brat no older the Zahra and Joweese were, talking to their mother in manner that had her prickling instantly, "W-Wait? Choosing family over a bunch of crazy people is our mother choosing others over Aisha? Do you even listen to yourself talk or are you drifting in and out? My Uncle Yaholo is a child of Aisha too, he's a hero who fought against the Obans! Acting like mother is turning on Aisha because she loves him isn't right." She said, patting Jowe on the shoulder before taking a step forward toward the girl as though debating socking her in the face. How dare she talk to Zahra's mother that way? Zahra started forward, her pig tails swishing as she walked, her antennae twitching out of sync, as she closed the distance between herself and her mother. Zahra gave Lumi a glare, then the girl with the first face paint, before rolling her eyes. Turning to her mother she gave her a smile, "Come on, Mom, don't give them the satisfaction." She said, hugging one of her mother's arms in an attempt to keep her from throwing herself into their ranks.
