Lilith strapped herself in to her console and switched full weapon control to her station. "Lilith! be on guard, Kiya get us as close as possible, i want an id on that vessel and a registration code!" The captain ordered. "Weapons online and ready to fire ma'am." Lilith replied while she silently kept an updating firing solution in her head. When the first hit came Lilith immediately started tacking the incoming mines. The only problem? Normandy class vessels were not equipped for ordinance like this and avoiding the mines was mostly in the hands of their pilot. "Captain I'm doing my best but this vessel just isn't equipped for this kind of fight." Still she managed to reduce incoming mines by 40% even though she only had a few AA guns to work with since the main guns were too slow for such small and fast targets. When it was all over and Lumi asked for a status report Lilith replied, "Weapons systems are unharmed and reporting normal levels of heat generation." Once Lumi handed off the bridge to Naya Lilith stayed alert but remained in her seat.

Naya was on her way to the bridge the moment they jumped, familiar enough with the way the ship felt to be in motion when they hit the mass relay. Of course, the evasive maneuvers and shouting afterwards was not planned. Naya was in one of the areas that the mines hit, and only barely made it through, dragging a few other soldiers out of the affected areas by their collars, slamming the door behind her as that part of the ship depressurized and had all the air sucked out of it. Sometimes her arms came in handy. She made sure the soldiers that were hurt got to the med bay and then headed up to the bridge, where Lumi handed off control of the ship to her. Naya had a feeling she was going to have a nice little chat with the fugitive they captured. She only wished she could be there. And no doubt so did Primus. "Kiya bring us a safe distance from those mines and see if there's a way around them. Lilith, stay alert, we don't know if mines are the only thing that Sidero had in store for us." Stepping up to the Turian next to her, she watched him carefully. "Primus you know you're not allowed to have a loaded weapon on the bridge. Hand it over and you can have it back once the Captain gives you permission." Normally Naya wouldn't have cared, but the Turian looked to be on the warpath, and it wouldn't do to have him stomping all over the ship with a loaded shotgun. "Captain's orders, take a seat, you're stuck here till she gives the okay." The Spectre normally wouldn't have had to deal with this, but as Cpatain of the ship and a Spectre herself, Lumi's authority on the vessel superseded Primus's. Naya held out her hand for the shotgun, if Primus refused, she would take it from him by force. She looked over to see the Krogans had finally shown their faces as well, giving a small sigh, she only wished things on this ship weren't so complicated.

Primus' eyes slowly turned from the Captain to the XO upon the command to keep him on the bridge. Like furious searchlights his eyes traveled steadily and then focused on the captain's crippled first-mate. He was eying her arms, measuring, assessing them, till Naya finished by telling him to take a seat. The amber flames in his eye sockets glared at her face, but, after a moment of hesitation, he shoved the gun into Naya's hands. His omni-tool deactivated, and Primus saluted in the human fashion before sealing his hands behind his back.
The Turian turned to face the cockpit windows. "I prefer to stand, Acting-Captain," was his one statement of defiance. There was much he disagreed with; the orders, being treated like this by someone like her, the damage the beautiful ship had now sustained - but he was Turian, and he was military. There was proper procedure to follow, always, and everything came before your own needs - that was the code of honour their entire species were subjected to. On a Turian ship he would, after all this, simply demand a duel with Captain Lumi and then Naya. It was their way of stress relief. Given the circumstances, he knew he would be looking for an alternative.
"Belay your orders. The ship must be turned around once analysis of the enemy vessel is finished. We have floated out of mine homing radius. The mines must now be eradicated or the next ship to arrive will risk annihilation. The quicker this is completed the less distance the enemy ship will be able to flee before we give chase." For the greater good of others. To this end they had to jeopardize the enemy gaining another head start in escaping. "The only reason not to take these actions is if the enemy ship turns on us and prepares to fire in which case you understand we have standard protocol to follow. Do you agree?" The only alternative he could think of was, if the enemy ship was still, risk sending a shuttle of personnel to infiltrate it. In his head he already personally volunteered.
"... One more thing. To make sure the mines were only... Mines, the damage should be surveyed to make certain that nothing boarded the ship." He would have gone, the gun was necessary in case of something even remotely influenced by the reapers was stuck to the hull now. "You would do well to send the Krogans with a repair team." Primary choice after himself. It was risky to start any repairs, or even to put on a space suit and jump around the sealed areas of the ship so soon, but potentially necessary for the well being of the rest of the vessel, Primus wagered.

While he was working inside one of the smaller maintenance areas, the ship suddenly lurched in a hasty motion. This caused Mez, who was unprepared for this, to slam his injured back into the opposite wall of the maintenance area. He grimaced and let out a strangled cry of pain. He then felt the shudder from something hitting the ship. ”What the heck happened?” mechanized interface equipped to his person then jumped to life, making shrill warning sounds about being hit and holes in the hull on the starboard side. ’s**t! The sensors are going off. Multiple explosions right after jumping? Why? The ship’s too sturdy for something like this to happen right after a simple jump. He thought as he decided to contact the bridge. While he was doing this, his back where he’d been shot started to ache now. That hit might actually make the bruising there even worse tomorrow. Fortunately, his room where Fluffy was hiding out wasn’t in the damaged area of the ship.
”Godammit! What the hell do you idiots on the bridge think you’re doing? Are you trying to destroy this ship and get us all killed at the same time?” Mez barked as soon as he turned on his communicator. His irritated voice would resound over the speaker at Kiya’s pilot station. A gadget like this certainly was handy on a ship this massive. ”What just hit us? Please tell me you didn’t do anything stupid to cause this kind of damage.” He asked as he crawled out of the maintenance hole and started hurrying at a brisk walk down the halls, making his way towards the bridge. When he’d been living on his own, Mez would have just gone right to get his space gear and promptly begin repairs on the hull. But since he was now working for the military and was under Captain Lumi, Mez had to go through the "chain of command" before getting the okay to start repairs. It really annoyed him having to get ‘orders’ to do important repairs like this, but that was the way things were for him now so he had to deal with the roundabout way to get his work done.

After dealing with the recently obtained psychopath Remi decided his time was better spent heading back to his quarters to look over Skylars files again. However, as he reached his quarters the intercom activated informing all crew members to get to their stations and prepare for a jump. "Never a dull moment is there" He mumbled to himself as he grabbed Skylars files and altered his course to finding a place to get strapped in for the jump.
Once situated Remi began to thumb through the file hoping the jump wouldn't be too damaging to his research but sadly that was not to be. Once the mines began to strike the ship Remi's notes flew across the room becoming scattered and disorganized. If that weren't bad enough Remi nearly smacked his face into the desk in front of him. Lucky for him his barrier was prepared so he escaped unscathed. After taking a brief moment to gather Skylars file and stash it away Remi left to find out what in the hell happened.
"Oh yeah sunshine? How do you expect to deal with the mines?" Remi shouted upon finding Primus, thankfully and inadvertently getting the answers he was seeking. "If these mines are what hit us then I'm willing to bet getting in range to effectively deal with them would be dangerous" He stated. He had to admit the idea of risking the ship to whatever they had hit was a terrifying idea, but then he had a thought. "Though perhaps a team of biotics could set them to explode on each other?" He offered.

Her hand was sore... she didn't remember hitting Skylar with a closed fist but it was well within the realm of possibilities. Rubbing her knuckles she stares at the med bay doors, reluctant to talk to the doctor about the conditions of her agreement with Skylar. It had to happen eventually but she couldn't deal with it now, she was needed on the bridge. Standing like he owned the ship the Turian had the air of a caged lion pacing in the center of her bridge, and she was curious to now what Remi was doing on the bridge. "Though perhaps a team of biotics could set them to explode on each other?" An interesting idea, but she didn't fully understand biotics herself, the most extreme of these cases was the psychopath under Kiani's watch, Kiani, Remi, Kiya, Lilith. Biotic's were more common than one might have realized. "it would save valuable resources if we could pull it off, however, we don't know how many of these mines there are." She never wanted to be the one to ever admit it but.. they needed help, help for a certain fugitive starting t think she can run the show in the lower decks of her ship. "we will have to get her to cooperate..."
Kiani didn't have a problem with the fugitive trying to get on her nerves, at first it was a little amusing, standing there by the door to listen. After the ruckus though the amusement began to vanish. Lumi had smashed hte womans head into the table hard enough to bend it. when the Captain left Kiani didn't know what to think. She knew the woman to be a dangerous criminal, and yet her idol was still going to try and accommodate to her terms? What had happened in that moment of silence the captive had caused. sexy? she heard the fugitive speak and for a moment glanced down the hall to see if anyone else had arrived, Wait... she talking to me? Kiani didn't have very much experience in the social field out side of duty and training, flirting was like a completely new language to the youth. "next time i wont go so easy on you! she couldn't help but respond after the attempted compliment. "suppose i don't have much choice inn the matter.. ill get you a bed but hell if i have to set it up in your room for you!"

A typical example of human-run ships and their disorganization next took place. Someone whined and complained via comms straight to the bridge, and then some idiot came yelling to him, him personally, about sunshine and using biotics. There was not even a sun nearby, so he was fairly confused, but put it aside as another human failure in proper communication.
Primus' eyes turned slowly back to Naya, and if he could look more tired of this sh~t, he sure did. Before he could intentionally ignore the little doctor on the bridge and address the XO, the Captain herself showed up. Primus turned to address her, willing only to speak to the one in charge, but what she just finished saying cut his chain of thought. Get her, that thing, to cooperate. Through a mighty feat of mental strength, the Turian stayed focused on the matter at hand, after a moment of silence.
"... The estimated maximum range of the ship's.." He resisted calling them all freaks, "Biotic operators does not come close to the minimum range of the Thames' arsenal. You would need to send a shuttle with them on-board to dangerously close proximity of the mine field." Yes please. Although the shuttle might end up attracting the mines, resulting in the death of all passengers... Too bad.
"The GARDIAN laser array is sufficient to deal with mines we now know are there. Even without scans we can set off a majority of the most dangerously placed ones by firing through the approximate area they homed in on the Argent Thames from." He did not join a ship without knowing what it was capable of. For extreme measures, they could bomb the whole area around the relay arrival space with the Javelin disruptor torpedoes, but the Turian did not recommend it due to the waste of resources.

Listened and watched as the contracted civilians wasted their breath on a pointless exercise of complaint. Civilians should keep their noses out of our affairs and let us do our jobs. she thought to herself. After listening to what they all to had to say Lilith chimed in. "The Turian spectre is correct on many accounts. The mines in the surrounding area should be eliminated and any attempts to do so using a team of people in close proximity is foolish ignorance." she started. "However I believe our options are more diverse than using the GARDIAN system and each has it's own drawbacks. For starters the unique property of space allows us to shoot at the mines from a distance with mass rounds, however this will require more time as we have a limited number of platforms from which we can fire these rounds. The GARDIAN system while clearing much faster will put us within the detection range of the mines due to the limitations of distance in laser based systems. It will also generate much more heat reducing our time in stealth unless we vent said heat afterwards. Finally we could just send a message back and prioritize the mission as Spectre status allows us to do so."
Alliance protocol dictates that the mines must be cleared. I am aware, however as the captain is a spectre she may do what she pleases whether or not the Alliance is happy about it.

The chatter questioning Naya's orders was bad enough, the Turian liked to make things difficult apparently. Then Remi showed up and started giving his own opinion on the matter. It was as if they were some sort of undisciplined cruise liner or something. Even the captain thought they should use the biotics to clear the minefield, which made Naya do a double take; she would need to talk with her about what happened down with the prisoner. "ENOUGH!" She shouted over the voices of the rest of the crew on the bridge. She still had control of the bridge until Lumi decided to dismiss her. "This isn't some washed up pirate vessel where we decide what to do via a committee. The Captain, or acting Captain tells you all what to do, and you do it. That includes you Primus, unless you'd like to sleep in the brig for a while?" She singled out the Turian specifically because he seemed intent on starting trouble. "Now..." She looked over at Lumi after the bridge had fallen silent. "Captain, I recommend going around the mines, making a pass to take care of them from a safe distance with our weapons, clear an area for anyone coming into the system, then calling in a few Alliance minesweeping vessels to clean up while we go after the real threat. Wasting our ordinance on cleaning up mines will only hinder us when attacking Sidero, and we need to get after him as soon as possible." Naya wasn't usually so enthusiastic about military protocols or any other such things, but when Lumi was around, she needed to stand by her example, not what she felt was best. A few Alliance minesweepers with the right ordinance to deal with the mines could have it cleared a short time, while they would be taking much longer any other way.

Skylar chuckled at the soldier's reaction, apparently she wasn't used to being called "sexy." She probably hadn't even seen anyone socially ever. This made Skylar smile wider, she always enjoyed working her way into the heads of the naive. "I look forward to the next brawl, maybe I'll even fight fair." Skylar chuckled and wiped some of the blood dripping from the gash on her head on her jacket's sleeve and smiled at Kiani. "You don't need to help me set anything up, sexy, just tell me your name. I didn't quite catch it after the Captain bashed my skull into the table. For an Ice Queen she can be pretty fiesty huh?" Skylar gave a grin and a mock growl as she leaned back in her chair, watching the soldier and gauging her reactions. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility that with the right pushing from the right way, Skylar could get inside this girl's head and get her on her side as opposed to the Ice Queens. She would need to be careful, make sure that nobody else caught on, but if she had her way, this whole ship would be hers' before they killed Sidero.

Naya was right they couldn't waste time here with the trap. She was getting off track with all these distractions, and it was bad enough she had already miscalculated this course of action. Their priority was the terrorist threat Sidero. "No, your right, this is only a distraction Inform the alliance, Kiya get us around the feild with out setting off half the mines in this galaxy, Lilith make sure those damn things don't touch us" This little trick of Sidero's wasn't going to slow them down, the Argent Thames could hardly be out paced in any situation, "he wont be able to out run us no matter what tricks he has in store Primus, i have hand selected this crew to eliminate the terrorist threat, I will not have you questioning me or my crew. i suggest you head to your quarters or perhaps to the training facility in the lower deck till you burn off this tension. Doctor i suggest you return to your quarters as well" Frustrated with the Turian for questioning her capabilities she was removing his privileges of access to the bridge, and Remmi only proved to be a distraction. Once they was gone she could tell what Naya was thinking once she saw the look in her eyes. "Primus does not need an escort Naya, not right now, i need you here on the bridge" She trusted the Turian wouldn't cause trouble on her ship after being reprimanded, Turians were proud but they were honorable.
Kiani was a little envious of the captain for slamming Skylar's head into the table, something about her smirk made her want to do so herself, "Batou, Ensign Batou" The Fugitive didn't need to know her by her first name, it would probably only Irritate Kiani further. Captains orders indicated she needed to be Skyar's escort, Right now she had to get the woman a bed as requested but if she had to stay she would need another person to get a bed from the supplies in the lower deck. Alternatively she could have Skylar follow her to the supply room to get her a bed and the standard change of uniform. If she was going to have freedom to move, Skylar needed to take a shower. Lucky for her a soldier was passing by, "you!" she recognized the young woman as she turned to stand at attention, "private, get me a bed and a fesh uniform from the supply room near the crew quarters" the soldier nods to her before heading back in the direction she was coming from to do as her superior asked.

"Aye aye Co-captain!" Kiya called. She began redirecting the course, taking a wide circle around the mines. The ship they were chasing was far ahead, but hopefully Mez's baby would be able to catch up, damage or no. As far as Kiya could tell from her instruments, there was no apparently engine damage. Though…that didn't mean nothing was wrong. Mez was going to need to check it out.
Kiya couldn't really do much more then listen to the others as she tried to navigate around the boarders of a literal mine field. But every so often, she felt like tossing out a few choice comments. "No disrespect intended Primus. But your authority on this ship is….rather limited. It is not your place to give orders to this crew. And on top of that, I have no great desire to die by going back into a literal mine field, despite the fact that I've been alive since your grandfather was still in incubation."
And then came Mez. Kiya wondered how long it would take for the speaker from the engine room to boom this his voice. "Calm down Mez. It was just a mine or two. I did my very very best to avoid major damage."
From there…it was really just listening to more bickering about the mines. As interesting as Remi's suggestion was about using biotics to smash the mines…Kiya neglected to point out that unless someone else piloting training, that was one less biotic that could help. That…and Kiya was debating on how close they would need to get, if it would be more of a hindrance then a help. Seemed kinda risky. In the end, Kiya praised her silent stars for Naya's presence, and then Lumi's continued support. Kiya just grinned at Primus being knocked down a peg or two, and continued on the fastest route she could see towards the ship.

Primus respected only one of the many opinions presented forth. The Geth's. The weapons officer was in her authority and a reliable source of information. The co-captain was then shouting, actually mentioned the brig too. Primus' eyes widened in mock surprise at her, but then narrowed back into displeasure. Masterfully she managed to then work as the middle man, taking the ideas they had put forward, and give them to the Captain. Helpful, selfish git.
The Captain herself finally chimed in, and took credit for the spectacularly problematic crew. To the very end, Primus felt it was not going to stop bothering him that she admitted they were handpicked. Or that she thought that Sidero was unable to flee from them. He started to hope that her overconfidence would not prove a hindrance.
The recommendation to visit the training facility was quite welcome. The first Normandy class vessels had included more Turian designs in them than other Alliance ships, but training/sparring space had been excluded till this iteration, and he was glad for it now. A little bit of home, that was.
Primus had turned to face the captain, and saluted. "Yes, Captain," a steady voice, not betraying an inch of emotions well hid. Primus walked forward, but then stopped beside Lumi. Without looking at her, he spoke calmly, and in a voice he did not intend for too many other ears to pick up; "Spec Ops Delta are conducting an investigation of Jarrahe station in the Nebula. If you can contact them, you may be able to cut Sidero off. Did you grant her the relaxed biotic restraint?" He waited for a response, and then walked off.
He considered arming himself again, against Naya's earlier wishes, in case the situation got worse as they neared the enemy ship, or due to the mines, or because the prisoner may have been granted certain freedoms now. But suppose he could wait till some more orders were given. They were also not yet in a more severe combat situation with the enemy ship. For related reasons he did decide not to take off his armour just yet. Primus halted at the ship elevator doors, and pushed the button to call it. He stood at ease, and debated going to fight, or to eat, downstairs.

Sidero drummed his fingers on the armrest to his chair as he watched the ship avoid the mines, not missing the fact that they stalled for a time on the other side of the field they had set up. "They are deciding what to do. Whether to chase us or eliminate the mines. We have time to move, full speed to the Isis-9 station." He spoke mechanically to his navigator then exhaled, a puff of compressed air huffed out of the breathing apparatus he wore and underneath the mask he smiled. Skylar had done well, leading them into his trap. Whether or not she forgot to tell them about the mine field by choice or by accident made no difference to him. The ship turned and their FTL drives engaged. While not as fast as using the Mass Relays, they could travel between systems in the same general area. They could trace the exhaust from the FTL drives, but it would take them time they didn't have. With any luck, they would already have the devices in hand while they were on their way in system. With the lack of luck, a whole black site research station with Alliance level defenses and hostages to keep the Argent Thames at bay. He couldn't help but crack a smile as the next system came into view and the space station they were headed for was just in sight range. Lucky for them, they had some stolen stealth technology and so long as they didn't run the engines too hot, they would remain invisible to the station's radar. There were, of course, no windows on the station. Sidero stood and keyed the ship-wide comm frequency, deciding to give his crew a speech. He inhaled and exhaled a bit more air from the apparatus and spoke. "Gentlemen and ladies. We all know why we're here. To pay the Bloody Alliance and the Inept Council back for everything they've done to us. To show them that they cannot just use the tragedy that befell everyone in the galaxy to make more weapons of war and destruction. We will not stand idly by while they use Reaper Tech to further their own scientific advances while stepping on all the common people to get there! We will show them what their warmongering gets them. Once we have the devices... Well, I am sure the good people of Earth would like a demonstration of what their best and brightest have come up with... 'For the betterment of the galaxy.'" With that the crew gave a cheer that echoed through all decks of the frigate, and the ship sped towards the Isis-9 station. =============================================== A Few Hours Later: Back On The Argent Thames ===============================================
Skylar straightened her new clothes and shook out her hair; the cut up alliance standard uniform fit her like a glove, and she rather liked the fabric, but there was far too much of it for her taste so she cut it to her liking, showing lots of skin on her legs and torso. She kept her steel toed boots and leather jacket, which were hardly military issue, but if they had a problem with the way she was dressed they could take it up with her fist. The doctor had turned down the inhibitor, and now Skylar could freely use some of her power to enhance her movement; move faster, jump higher, levitate herself if she got tired of standing. The guard they had given her was an absolute treat as well, and Skylar was already working her way into the girl's head with her words and flirting. Stretching a little and looking back to the guard next to her with a small smile, she stepped through the door onto the bridge, where she saw Captain Lumi talking with Kiya and Mez, with Lilith off to the side listening in. "Yo, Ice Queen, where's my chair?" She interrupted with a smirk, trotting over to the group and sitting in one of the vacant seats. She looked over to the computers that Kiya was looking to and the ones Mez was checking some readings on. "Trying to track his FTL trail since he jumped out system. Time consuming, gonna lose him at this rate. We made it around the mine field, now we just need to know where he's going. Lucky for all of us, I happen to know where it is... But it's going to require a bit of cooperation from a certain frigid Alliance Captain." Skylar's eyes turned to Lumi with a very punchable smirk. Knowing she had the upper hand for the moment, Skylar planned to exploit the hell out of that fact, and make Lumi as angry as possible in the process.

traversing the mines was slow but it was progress and once Jeeves assured them there was no more to trigger she could feel the entire bridge give a heavy sigh in relief "don't relax just yet, get on his trail, we need this a*****e as soon as possible" on scanners the officer got to work right away filtering out the light particles to try and track his trial. " Kiya, List all the ports within distance" Jarrahe station wasn't far like Primus had said but she had not heard back from them regarding Sidero, could be they had not spotted him yet. "alert all forces within these stations of the ship we are chasing." Careful to cover all her bases she felt a shiver like nails on chalk board run down her spine as Skylar spoke, if she could have killed anyone with one look it would have been that one single being. She wasnt even welcome to come on the bridge, Kiani was in trouble for this one. Lumi deeply regretted letting her out of her cage, she could see the discomfort on all her officers faces as Skylar simply made herself at home. "i do not recall giving you any permission to enter the bridge, im afraid you greatly underestimate the talents of my crew, some may even consider it an insult. She was starting to regret asking Primus to leave, at least he probably could have made her think twice about showing her ugly mug here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kiani knew she was in trouble the moment she unlocked the door to the bridge, not only had Skylar mutilated the extra uniform but she had demanded to go to the bridge. The Captian had given her permission to wander the Argent Thames with a supervisor, but this probably wasn't what she had intended. The ice cold glare and rage may not have been intended for her but it still made her feel like an idiot being the reason things had come this far to begin with. "alright! Skylar you saw the bridge, now lets go!" She grabbed the fugitive by the arm intending to take her out again. how could she have been so stupid to let her in, especially at this critical time.

Lilith did her job of clearing the mines at the captain's order. It wasn't particularly hard but it had to be done. Of course now the fun part was hopefully going to begin. Disabling Sidero's ship with precision shots. In the meantime however it seemed that there was going to be a surprise guest on the bridge. Their captive Skylar was quite energetic to say the least and clearly had it out for the captain. Seeing Lumi's displeasure Lilith asked "Shall I shoot her again captain?". She was joking but having not really mastered the art of comedy or even really a human grasp of it she sounded quite serious.
