"All about the bass...?" Carmen's mind supplied a nearly automatic no trouble as she remembered that earwormy song. It took her a moment, but then she figured out what seemed so off about this Guardian: she was a Chaos cat. Before she could say anything about it, Lyssa was totally up in her grill, nuzzling her and trying to get at something on her person. "Wh-what are you doing?!" she cried out, trying to shove a paw in the red cat's face to shoo her off. All the while, she thought she could hear something strange cutting under the music, but perhaps it was just a peculiar guitar effect. Once she got this cat off her, she was going to have to try and go to the main concert area to hear the music better.

-----

The second Luna Bay started performing, Ezra quit his hanging-out-on-the-side act and dove right into the crowd. Though he didn't quite know all the lyrics, he found himself hollering and dancing around with the best of them. Occasionally he'd grab someone in the crowd and sweep them up into a twirl, which was met with better reception than he expected. Everyone was in good cheer, and he loved it. He'd soak all the positive energy up like a sponge if he could. He was so into his antics that the weird fog around his feet barely registered.

-----

Silas continued to watch and listen from the bar, nodding his head to the music. These Luna Bay people weren't half bad; their opening act was quite catchy. However, from his vantage point at the bar, he could see a weird purple fog pooling around the feet of the people in the main concert area. It was suspicious, to be sure, but could he do anything about it? Surely the people in charge were investigating it, unless it really was just a special effect. For now, he was going to watch and see if anything happened.

Sirene Naiads

Quinn smirked and chuckled. His joke had gotten the reaction he was looking for. "Nah I don't think I could find someone as willing to put up with my cat as you are." Isis was a handful but she and Delilah seemed to get along. He was going to say more when screams erupted. The band had started.

He turned to Delilah when she stumbled back into him. The mass of pulsating crowd made him concede to her point. Nodding he responded, "I think flat feet is the least of our worries in that crowd." He swore he heard a high pitch screeching of some seriously off tune moshers. "Our hearing might be ruined if who ever is trying to sing doesn't stop." He stuck his finger in his ear and dramatically wiggled it to mime get the sound of the nails on a chalkboard out of him mind.

When she pointed down he followed the indicating digit and noticed the fog. "Yeah...." His response was murmured and might have been lost in the noise of the concert. Fog was normal.... fog was simple.... fog was expected......... purple fog was not.

Chailee smiled. "It's alright. It didn't hurt at all, I am just glad I didn't topple you over."

The music from the band was rather loud and Chailee was forced to try and yell over it. "OH! It's my first concert too! It's really exciting! It's going to be a great night I think!" She was practically bubbling with the enthusiasm. "I am Chailee by the way."

The lights and sounds were such a spectacular display for the young teenager. All of the effects just added so much to the experience and really helped to drive home why everyone had been talking about this concert. "OH! Look at the purple fog!" She grinned as she looked down at the stuff as it floated around people's feet oddly. "I didn't know you could make purple fog." She watched as it shifted and glided across the ground. "I wonder what it's made out of."

Tony smiled as he followed Kyndall to the bar, though he could hardly hear her over the din of the crowd. It seemed things were about to start, and it only made him sigh heavier, shaking his head as the music kicked up.

Something did sound off, though, and he heard it despite the fact that the 'music' sounded very much like screeching noise in its own right. This was different, though.

It made him tense, his instincts telling him something was wrong. And he did not like that feeling, as it often meant the typical Destiny City oddities were about to take place. He tried not to make an outward show of his nerves, though, hoping he was just being a fuddy duddy and making up excuses to not like the event, or perhaps to get them to go home early.

The purple smoke did nothing to ease his worries, though, as it seeped up from the floor and into the sitting and dance areas of the hall.

Something really did not feel right.

Kolina

Samantha smiled brightly to hear that this girl was also at her first concert. Great! At least they could be awkward together, though Samantha was not sure there was anyone quite as nervous about all things social as she was.

"My name is Samantha. It's very nice to meet you, Chailee! That's a lovely name!"

She was not sure she could be heard over the music and roaring fans, but she did her best. Projecting was not exactly her forte. Generally, she liked to be a little more on the quiet and demure side of things. Here, though, she would have to do a bit better.

"Purple fog?" she echoed, looking down to see it. "Oh, ew! That looks so gross! I hope it doesn't leave stains! Does it smell? Oh, I don't want that stuff anywhere near me!"

----------------

Outside, Merlinite felt very strange.

What was going on in there? What was this feeling? The half youma knew there was something strange, and now he wanted to get into the concert now more than ever, if only to see what the source of this uneasy, oppressive feeling was.

Against instincts that told him to run away and hide, which he had never really felt in this particular way before, he moved toward the concert hall and waited for his chance to sneak in. His claws allowed him to climb and scurry very quickly, so sliding into a back entrance was not too difficult for him.

Once inside, he made to hide himself in the lighting rafters, among the lights themselves, though he was careful not to touch or bump anything. From there he could watch the stage, and he settled into a tepid kind of peace. Maybe he had just imagined that strange feeling... but even as he tried to convince himself it was all in his head, he shuddered and crouched into himself.

Whatever it was, it was scaring him.

As the music for Luna Bay came ringing out of the academy Lexi felt her stomach turn into a hard knot. Amanda still wasn't here, no call, no text, nothing. And she couldn't wait any longer. Even the bouncers at the doors who had been checking peoples tickets had started to close the doors and wander off. She really couldn't wait, this was it and even if she really didnt want to do this alone (her parents would kill her if they knew!) she had to go in.

Stepping up to the last remaining bouncer she smiled, her most apologetic smile. "Am sorry am so late, am I still ok to go in?" She uttered even though the bouncer gave her a look that said he had seen her waiting by the doors all night. Fortunately though he didn't bother to comment on it and scanned her ticket allowing her to go though and close the remaining door to the night. That was it, Amanda wouldn't be getting in even if she tried. She watched as security locked the doors and stood beside them with an air of indifference waiting for the evening to end.

She would kill Amanda for this.

Jogging towards the venue door she could hear the music spark up. A roar of cheers erupted from the crowd and the lights went out and the strobe effects were put on. In that moment Lxi forgot all about Amanda and ran to the railings. Sure she wasn't at the front next to the stage but she could see them and she could hear them, god could she hear them. The music was so loud it made her feel unbalanced as she stumbled slightly. Did they really need it so you could feel it though the floor boards? But she didn't care. With a burst of self confidence Lexi threw up her arms and started singing along with the chorus at the top of her voice.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

As the music started thudding into her ear drums Harley smiled at the bar staff before throwing up her index finger stating she wanted another shot. To some it may seem sad that the bar staff already knew her order now that she didnt need to say it, for the more "out of the box" thinkers Harley was just saving valuable time and vocal cords in this method. The shot came and the shot went, another intake of breath at the sharp taste and she was ready.

"WOOO--OOH YEAAH!!"

Throwing herself into the crowd Harley spotted other like minded people and with no introductions needed started jumping up and down beside them, her arms pumping the air as the strangers danced together in an unspoken bond. The mood was contagious, it was riveting. If this was going to be her last few days of normality then she was going to go out with a bang. She was so enthralled with the music she didn't even see the purple fog creeping up her legs, or the slight smell that accompanied it. Stage smoke wasn't meant to smell like...meat? Rotting meat to be exact!? Or maybe...maybe it was the sweaty guy dancing next to her right now with his armpits in her face. Gross. She made a mental note to kidney punch him when no one was looking.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Even though the paw landed smack bang in the middle of Lyssa's face the kitten was still trying to push her nose (and entire being!) towards the glasses. She took no notice of the noise thudding beneath them, her mind to wrapped up in the beauty that was Carmen. Even her fur waved at her and with slow nods she tried to wave back at them with her own, giggling as she rocked her head from side to side.

"HeheHeE, ShhHHss noWW liTTle OneS, we arE TalKIng." She didnt mind that this cat was one with Order. She had known many and it was only because they blocked out Metalia's power so hard that they ended up confused and lost. They didn't know how to accept her in to their hearts, souls and shoes. She would show them though, she would show them the way. She was going to start chewing on the side of Carmen's head when the floor rocked slightly, as if a small tremor ran though the whole building. She stopped, the fur on the back of her neck starting to bristle under an emotion she couldnt understand. Something was wrong.

"THe BuilDing, IT SpeakS! Do You NoT heAR it CRying?"

"I don't see why it'd be a problem." Kaida took his hand after he'd shoved whatever it was Emily had handed him into his pocket. "I knew you have kids Albert. Just happens to be I know one of them. Though, really, Matt and Yuki know her better than me. Mostly we just geek about things together and lament when Matt takes things apart that he shouldn't."

And then Luna Bay started up, and she even found herself singing along a bit until a noise that was very much not music made her wince. Oh. Oh that was...that was UNPLEASANT. Kaida made a noise of discontent, looking around for the source even as the purple fog rolled around their feet. She'd never seen purple fog effects at a concert...Even some of the Visual Kei bands in Kyoto hadn't had effects like that.

She was at turns concerned and intrigued and who was screeching?

"Albert?"

Fleur had found a nice place not too deep in the crowd where she got that feeling of being surrounded by people, but she wouldn't be too pressured to dance if she didn't want to. Not that she was against dancing, necessarily. She was already here, and in a tight outfit and heavy makeup she never usually would have worn. She might as well go all out and enjoy herself a little. There was plenty of time for that, though. For now she was just looking around a bit and enjoying her drink.

She smiled at the excited looking blonde headed towards her. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Fleur. I'm not really a fan, no. My friend worships Luna Bay, though. She's around here somewhere..." Then the band came onstage and the cheering blocked out any chance at conversation for awhile. Fleur loved it, though, and she clapped until they started playing, then bobbed her head along to the music. Maybe she was closer to dancing than she thought she was. "They are really good," she decided. They seemed to be having some technical difficulties, though. There was noticeable scratching and screeching, as if their microphones weren't working properly. At least they had great special effects. She wasn't sure how they'd made the fog so purple, but it added a cool, mystical vibe.

Emily was pleased. The package delivered she grinned in pride of her good deed, settling as Luna Bay began playing to revel in music and victory. She could disregard the fog, the moving floor, all of it - but the damn infernal screeching was faulty equipent, or something around them was a god damn bloody fangirl she was going to punh, and Emily sighed in frustration, facepalming anf grumbling to nobody in particular.

"Oh my god, shut up screaming fangirls."

Trinity rooned, patting Erika fondly.

"Yeah, it's something people do. The only things you get thrown out for really ae harassing other concert goers or fighting, not having fun dancing. Well, moshing, sometimes." She eyed around, knowing that could occur impromptu, nd hugged Erika to her, gently.

"Hey, they started. C'mon, it'll be alright. Nobody'll bbe mad."

Trinity smiled softly to reassure her.

"Promise."

Paris was so ready to kill him. Rene would have to do some serious sucking up to make it up to her.

"That was the point yes. I wanted something different. Try something new I guess. If I don't like it, I will cut it a different way next time. Could be worse." He reminded her. "I could have died it some horrid color. Or I could have shaved it off so its like nothing but fuzz. Or gone bald."

"Fine. I'll hold your stuff while you two play tonsil hockey, but the second you start making me hold clothing, I'm outta here." Rene full expected to get punched for that one later on.

--

There was no clothing holding however as Paris had started dancing the second the music started. Anytime she tried to get one of them to dance, Rene just shook his head, offering excuses of 'Oh I can't dance' or 'But I've got two left feet. I'm hopeless!'." At first, he thought the floor shifting was just from the amount of people and activity inflicted on it, but once Paris spoke up Rene couldn't help but roll his shoulders as his nerves slowly began to creep up on him. "Paris..." He warned quietly. "Don't. I'm trying really hard to ignore it." The dark haired man was already playing with his signet, twisting it back and forth as his finger tips brushed against the piece in small effort to not begin to panic. "Do you guys know if anyone else came here? Moms... brothers. Whatever?" He cast a wary look at the ground before glancing at both of them. "We may want to group up..."

Ilian eyed the older kid curiously before shrugging. “Nah, it’s not a problem. I just wanted to make sure we weren’t being followed by someone crazy,” he explained, flashing another smile Haven’s way, all the more amused when Lovely was clearly irritated with him.

Maybe if he wasn’t such a jerk to him all the time, he wouldn’t have made sure that night was super awkward for him, being the third wheel and all.

Overall, Ilian was very much enjoying himself. He had a date, he was annoying Lovely, and he was surrounded by people, which was good for someone social like himself. But soon things started getting a little… strange.

The music was okay, but the fog was weird. Ilian shot a concerned look over his shoulder in Lovely’s direction. “Hey, stay close,” he said, although it was difficult to tell if he was speaking to Lovely or Haven or both.

Chris was trying to enjoy himself, he really was. He just wasn’t as fond of large crowds as others were. He would prefer solitude over squishing in with a bunch of sweaty, smelly people. He knew this was one of the reasons why people thought him boring, but he just couldn’t bring himself to care.

He grumbled about Rene’s antics and shook his head, but kept himself close to Paris, usually making sure there was a hand on her at all times, lest they get separated. He, like Rene, didn’t really try to dance. He knew he couldn’t, so he wasn’t going to try.

Just as Paris and Rene started getting paranoid, Chris couldn’t help but tense up as well. The music was fine, but… there was something strange going on. Something didn’t sound right, didn’t feel right. The fog was too… strange. But maybe that was just because he’d never experienced a concert before. “Not that I know of,” he said with a shake of his head. If Michael came here, he didn’t know about it. There was no way Peter would have come to a concert, right?

Either way, he pulled Paris closer to him, and reached out to grab hold of Rene’s vest to make sure he didn’t get shoved away in whatever panic might ensue.

Haven chose to think that Ilian was talking to her and sidled a little closer to his side. They weren't quite touching yet, but it was pretty close. That horrid blush spread across her cheeks again as she did so. She really wished she could get that under control.

The concert was going well so far. The crowd was a little wild and it felt like the whole building was shaking with how exuberantly they were dancing. Haven only became concerned when she noticed the purple fog. At first she wondered if it was some sort of special effect, but it didn't seem to fit with the whole atmosphere of the place. She expected blinding lights and pyrotechnics, not a creepy fog.

*******************************

Lovely chose to think that Ilian was talking to him. He didn't sidle up as close as the girl was—and the whole blushing thing? Totally gross—but he was close enough to speak to Ilian's without having to shout.

“What now?” he wondered.

He was clearly not having the best time. The music was loud and the people were rowdy and the fangirls just kept screaming. If he didn't lose part of his hearing before the end of the night, Lovely would be surprised.

*******************************

Jonah hung back and tried to make himself as small as possible. If he'd thought the crowds getting in to the Academy were bad, they were nothing compared to the crowds when the band actually took the stage. There was so much dancing it was hard to maintain his personal space, and so much screaming her could hardly make out some of the words.

Being so still himself, it was not difficult for him to notice the shifting of the floor. He wondered if it might be because of how rambunctious everyone was being. Or maybe it was an Earthquake? It wouldn't be the first time; they'd had one a couple years back. But then there was the purple fog, which didn't quite fit in with the rest of the show...

Peter liked that she was enthusiastic and cheerful. It was refreshing and made him feel much older than he really was. All this senshi business became so exhausting. Sometimes he felt like he’d aged quicker than he should have.

He laughed when she put an arm around him, and he put one around her in turn, figuring why not? “Thanks,” he grinned, glad that she didn’t make fun of his shirt or anything silly like that. It would have made things weird. “I’ve listened to some of their music. There’s one that’s pretty good. It’s got a guitar solo in the middle, but then it kind of mixes together with some techno. I can’t remember the name, though,” he admitted as he walked with her towards where the refreshments were.

He offered to pay, of course, because that was the thing to do when someone asked someone else out, right? But they didn’t make it far from the line when something strange started happening. Peter was halfway through eating a piece of pizza when he noticed the weird purple fog.

Shoving the rest of the pizza into his mouth, he tossed the plate he had and grabbed hold of Raleigh’s hand. Maybe he was just getting jumpy over nothing. “Come on, we need to get out of here,” he said without really thinking. Whatever it was, he didn’t like it. He didn’t like it at all.

The harder Paris tried to ignore the trembling beneath her feet, the more it bothered her. Initially, she hadn't noticed the purple fog, but when Rene seemed to share her paranoia and Chris pulled her close, everything about the place seemed strange. There was just something not right about the fog...

“Peter's here on a date,” Paris announced.

She'd heard of it from Momma, but hadn't thought to tell Chris because... well, Chris didn't generally care what his younger brother was up to.

Was the panic necessary? It was hard to tell. Paris wanted to believe she was overreacting, wanted to pretend it was all part of the show, but she'd been in too many strange situations before to think this was any different. The only question was, what was going to happen? And when? Whatever the case, Paris stopped dancing and stood closer to Chris. It was hard to enjoy the music now when her heart was pounding and her eyes kept shifting from place to place, trying to pick out anything or anyone that looked as if it didn't belong.

Strickenized
you just happened to be about where i had her placed in my mind. hope you don't mind <3

Concerts were far louder then going to see an orchestra playing and it was really difficult to focus on much of anything. Especially not as people seemed to go nuts and start to dance and crowd around one another to party to the music. It didn't seem inherently a bad thing but she really couldn't see why people liked this.

Could have been a worse venue to make her concert attending debut she supposed.

Looking around for anyone she might know, to help make the night enjoyable in some way, brows furrowed as purple fog weaved it's way up from the floor and around the crowds of people. She didn't want to think of it as something bad, it could just be a cool effect!, but all with her return to Destiny City she'd almost been waiting for something to go wrong.

Frowning, she backed her way from the area she'd been in to try and maybe escape the fog but she ended up backing herself up into a person. She needed to get better at watching where she was going. Turning around she blushed in embarrassment at the fellow she'd run into.

"Sorry about that! I wasn't watching where I was going!" Why were concerts a thing that had to be so loud one needed to yell in which to talk to a person? Even worse was was the odd screeching she wasn't sure was just a bad sound from the speakers or something else.
