Eventually, Amaranth found somewhere to stop and rest for a moment, looking behind her to make sure she wasn't chased by anything. She was relieved to find that she wasn't, looking back to the ball that held her Yanma. She hated that her Pokemon nearly fell so easily, but if anything, it showed her why she might want to do more with them. Her time to think would be compromised, however, as a Carbink slowly emerged from the snow. All she could see was its face as she backed up a step, already prepared for the worst.
Instead, it just gave a confused look, but with Amaranth figuring that there were several more laying in wait, found itself on the defensive as she let out her weakened Yanma and had it use Bug Buzz. Though the attack barely fazed it at all, it quickly conjured a Light Screen to better defend itself.
It looked scared, wondering what the heck their problem was. Thing is, Amaranth wasn't in a mood to push her luck, and had Yanma try to Tackle it instead. This proved to be even less useful than the Bug Buzz, and in turn, Carbink bolstered its defenses even further with a prompt Reflect.
By now, the hybrid was less sure of what to think. Obviously, it wasn't trying to fight back, but instead defend itself. Perhaps it was waiting until they wore themselves out to go in for the kill? Or maybe it just didn't want to be hurt too badly. Yanma couldn't do much to it, at any rate, though her Pokemon did have the bright idea to unleash a Sonic Boom around the area. Snow unsettled all around as Carbink found its defenses still compromised, trying to constrict Yanma's movements instead with Stealth Rock.
Yanma didn't dare move as the rocks came out of the snow, floating all around. Not that there was much of a need to. Another Sonic Boom followed at Amaranth's request, and despite the fact that it was penetrating Carbink's defenses, it looked like it really hadn't been badly hurt at all. And at this rate, she wondered how long she or Yanma could manage before Carbink decided to take off or otherwise finish them off.
The only thing that came to mind was disorienting it somehow, if only long enough to find a better opening. Or maybe to catch it. She had a feeling it might warm up more in such a case, at least, especially since she realized that there wasn't going to be several more ready to strike. "Supersonic?" She asked, Yanma complying with an odd sound coming forth. The wing vibrations made it hard for Carbink to concentrate, causing it to look around as if something else was around.
It was that bit of disorientation that led to Amaranth figuring now was as good a time as any to try and throw a Safari Ball in hopes of a successful capture...

...but luck wouldn't be on her side as Carbink broke free with ease. However, it was still disoriented, so she tried to throw another ball to see if she'd fare better.

Unfortunately, that one also failed, with Carbink both breaking free and getting over its confusion. The originally worried look turned into an angered glare, sharpening its body and launching itself at Yanma. Amaranth, trying to keep her Pokemon safe, threw her last ball. Even if it failed, at least she'd be able to have a chance to get away.

Quickly flying into the strange area of the Safari Zone they were currently trespassing on, Beauregard was quick to put the hood up on his specially tailored coat and huddle inside it as he began to wander the strange expanses. Well, things could be worse. It could be colder.

A Vulpix! Now this was worth his time! RC calls his Electivire back out. The idea of an eventual Ninetails by his side was very tempting. The small red fox stood it's ground. It wasn't afraid? Very Interesting!
"Electivire, Thunder Wave. Slow down our pretty little prey." RC commands. Electivire unleashes a storm of electricity that swarms over the 6 tailed fox, paralyzing it. Yet this tiny fox showed strong will, as it came back with an Ember attack that managed to burn the bigger Electivire, crippling it.
RC smiles. What spirit! "Electivire, Swift!" the hybrid barks. Electivire unleashes a swarm of stars, blasting the tiny fox back. It struggles back up to it's feet and then hits the massive electric pokemon with Hex, causing Electivire to reel back. And it was a tactician! This was now a must catch!
RC reaches for 1 of the Safari Balls and slings it at the tiny fox.

What followed next was a bit of a surprise, already having recalled Yanma just in case. She expected Carbink to burst free, but apparently, the third ball caught it by surprise. Though it tried to fight its way back out, it hadn't been able to and the ball clicked to signal a successful capture. Amaranth was in stunned silence for a moment, surprised it even worked that time, before slowly kneeling down to pick the ball up.
She knew she couldn't try to look for anything else to capture, but opted to look around carefully. Her hunt had been cut short with a close capture, but the more she knew about the area, the better off she felt she'd be. So she decided to scout around for a bit before taking any sort of leave.

Tisk! It was a miss! The Vulpix would use Hex again, weakening Electivire even further.
It was time for try two as RC threw yet another Safari Ball.

A small Swinub, trundling across the tundra. He is far from home and intent on returning to his family. The Swinub stops, a new smell drifting on the winds as a new arrival crosses its territory. From the way it twitches and bounces, we can say that it has smelt its brethren and will soon chase after them. Let us follow it to see what it has found. Crossing this white expanse, we continue to see our Swinub friend hopping for joy as it aims to return to its family. Wait, teh Swinub has stopped now and is shaking. What does it have to fear? Its family must be right over that....Oh dear Arceus. It appears we have an unknown person here, wearing a....Swinub evolutionary line coat. Oh my, it appears this little Swinub may never reunite with its family ever again. This is Davey Attinborough, signing off in shame.
Beau watched as a small camera crew packed up its equipment and left the tundra. What the hell? He shows up and the cameras have to turn off? Damn fascists.

Standing in the cold air and the snow, Trish was surprised when an utterly adorable pink and yellow amorphous creature assailed her Pokemon with lips nearly a third the size of it's entire body. "Chuuuum!" It exclaimed as it's lips engulfed Idina.
Idina began to stagger about after the strange kiss. "Oh no, she's confused....." Trish groaned with a shake of her head. "Idina, try to snap yourself out of it and use Fire Spin."
No such luck. But at least it was a Fire attack she used. The Flame Charge struck Smoochum at close range and launched her into a nearby snow bank. Sadly, Idina didn't stop after knocking her attacker aside and charged right into a snowbank of her own.
"Smoo chum!" The miniscule Ice-type exclaimed, extricating herself from the embankment. "Smoochum smooo~ooooo chummm chuuuuuuum~" The baby Pokemon attempted it's song to lull Idina to sleep, failing miserably as the confused Fox blasted a Psyshock in all directions, one psionic bullet after another.
Smoochum hopped about, dodging the orbs easily enough before spitting a Powder Snow at the Fire-type attacking it, attempting to chill the fox into submission.
Idina was caught up in the blustering snow-filled wind and shivered for a few seconds before the cold snapped her to her senses again. "Try out that Psybeam you learned earlier." Trish called out to her Pokemon.
Idina's eyes began to glow, lifting her Twisted Spoon before releasing the twisting beam of psychic energy at Smoochum. While the obviously infantile Pokemon resisted the move's type, it was hit hard.
"I'll take what I can get!" Trish decided, pulling a Level Ball from her pocket and throwing it at the Pokemon. The Level Ball hit, drew in Smoochum and laid on top of the snow, wobbling gently for a few seconds. It shook once, twice, thrice and then..... A long ping and the solid red light on the release button for several seconds signaled a successful captured. "Magnifique!" Trish exclaimed, retrieving the ball and stowing it ito her pocket for now.
"I'm not calling this the end of it. If we find something I like more, we're going after it, instead." Trish told Idina, who nodded in agreement.

They climbed the spiraled glacier, Gabriel dug his huge talons in every step of the way. His breath was heavy as he panted through his huge open maw. Coming to the top the big Rex flopped down looking over the edge. The two watched the sea of lava trapped under ice, wave and twist , it was actually beautiful. The two would only have so long before they where interrupted by two noises, one familiar and one not.
They looked to their left to the Aron screaming and a very pissed looking Bergmite. "Crap and ice type, come on boy lets g-" The bergmite made a wall of ice over the only exit of the platform. "Well then, set me down Gabreil."
After letting down his trainer, the Rex would ready itself for a battle not in its favor. Bergmite is the absolutely worst pokemon for Garbiel to battle, well other than its higher evolution. They are for one and ice type which can destroy Tyrantrums, as well as they are toupher than stone, if they where heavy gabriel would have nothing over the guy. Lucky them this one wasn't its higher Gabriel would have not fighting chance.
"Okay Light em up!" With the snapping of Gabriel's jaw, his teeth began to light up with fire. THe blaze would leave his mouth like a torch, as he snarled at his opponent. The bergmite would start a small hurricane around it trying to intimidate its opponent. They both charged, but the bergmite stopped early throwing an avalanche of snow over head. The cold would cover the hide of Gabriel, blistering his skin, like fire does to humans. He blurted out a huge roar, as he charged right for the little ice shard. Giant teeth closed around the ice type like bars of a cage, but your bars are made of fire. The heat began melting the Begrmite slowly. Obviously this wouldn't sit well with the ice type as it ripped on gabriels tongue with an ice fang. The giant Rex would spit out the ice type shacking his head. Again the beasts feathers stood high, as it lunged with its burning teeth. This time the Bergmite made a new layer of ice in the path of gabriel with an ice beam. Now its not everyday you get to say you see a T-Rex slip on ice, but man did he slide. Slid right into the Bergmite, probably wasn't the smartest idea.
With gabreil crushing the bergmite up against the wall of ice, it made to give itself a advantage, it proably feels pretty dumb by now. Clara began thinking that this little guy put up one hell of a fight, might as well catch now that its pretty hurt. That amount of weight must be killing it. Gabriel would stand up bearing its teeth down at the Bergmite, who wasn't able to even bring itself up. "Gabriel wait. Lets see if we can catch this trouble maker." The Aron would be screaming and stomping its foot at the trainer, almost as it where threatening her. "Gabriel if you want to get rid of that last bit of rage, here you go." The Tyrantrum would back up towards the Aron, lining its tail up like a gold club. And with a great swing the Aron was no longer seen.
Clara would ready a safari-ball, as she squated down patting the ice type, "Hey just relax and trust me you'll find it a great place to live. The red light would shoot around the bergmite, snatching up into the ball as it shook.
