☆ ☆【 Smash, slash, crack, break, repeat… That was all that was going through the mind of the Haxorus as she pummeled through some rather large boulders in a rocky outcropping within the Daycare Center. It hadn’t been too long ago that she had been taken into this rather large, spacious area. The woman she had come to know as Irene had sent her here to wait for her new trainer to pick her up whenever it was convenient for her, whom she believed was named… Chrysanthemum? Some long name that started with a ‘C’, the Haxorus couldn’t remember for the life of her. All she was focused on right now was training as she swung away at the large rocks with the sharp, axe-like growths that lined the sides of her face. She had seen a group of Pokemon running about in the near distance, seeming to be playing some sort of game or something. Kyra wasn’t the least bit interested in playing games with the other Pokemon in the Daycare, she needed to get stronger somehow… She would prove to her new trainer once they met that she was capable of being the fighting champion that she used to be. The scars that marked her body where her thick, plated armor didn’t cover, she wore them as medals of remembrance and pride… They marked the time in her life where she was at the peak of her prowess, a time that had long since passed, adrift in the past like a ship lost at sea. Her partner who sat against a nearby tree, a Miltank whom she had come to know as Sweet Belle, was simply napping and relaxing as she sought to simply get the most out of her time here.
Kyra honestly didn’t see how anyone else could just waste their time on petty things like games or naps, when they should be working to strengthen themselves like any sane Pokemon would. Maybe she was just being narrow-minded, but she supposed it couldn’t be helped. In fact, she almost envied the way those Pokemon would prance about, playing along with each other, having fun and living on in childish ignorance. She had been robbed of her chance to enjoy the days of her pre-evolutions a long time ago… All she had grown up knowing was how to fight, and that the key to survival was to be stronger than your enemy in every possible way… The world she had been raised in was cold, cruel, and unforgiving to those within its judgment; she prayed deep down that no one would ever have to face the sheer heartlessness and brutality that she had endured under the reign of the Underground League…
Sweet Belle on the other hand was at peace as she leaned against the tree, making herself comfortable as she tuned out the noises of Kyra’s rather violent training practice in the background. A rebel at heart with a sassy disposition and a mouth that would make even the saltiest sailor proud, the Miltank’s personality seemed completely contradictory to her name in every way possible. She didn’t even know why her old owners had named her Sweet Belle in the first place, when she was clearly anything but. Still, she had never argued against her name before, finding the irony in it quite amusing when she thought hard about it. Yawning widely, the Miltank snorted as she rolled over onto one side, not really paying much attention to anything else. However, a shout from close by brought her attention to the forefront, an ear swiveling towards the source of the commotion as Sweet Belle opened one eye lazily to see what all the ruckus was about. Yes, she had noticed the Absol tied up in one corner of the area that looked like he was trying his damnedest to escape, but she hadn’t paid him much mind at all at first. But upon seeing the Cyndaquil moving to tackle the large white-furred creature, that was when her interest was truly captured. What on earth was the little fire mouse thinking? Sure the Absol was chained up and all, but he could still very well be considered a threat to some degree… And the strangely colored Vulpix seemed to just sit by and spectate the whole thing, not making any move to stop the Cyndaquil as it pounced on the Absol. Shifting herself, Sweet Belle brought herself to sit up as she eyed the commotion with intent. As bull-headed as the Miltank tended to be, she certainly wasn’t stupid. If things started going to hell in a handbasket, which she was predicting would happen since it was likely that the Absol would react aggressively towards the Cyndaquil, then she would step in and intervene. Maybe she’d get Kyra to start knocking some heads around too, even though the Haxorus seemed to be paying very little attention to anything else outside of her own training at the moment.

Okay so the Cyndaquil never said she could defeat him. "Perhaps so, but you did insist earlier that if I should escape, I wouldn't be able to land a blow of you before I was taken down. That sounds like some confidence on your ability to take me on." Ezio growled. "And I'm sure you're best friends with all the other pokemon here. Of course they'll come running to your aid, I should just give up now yes?" He scoffed and continued digging at the base of his stake, ignoring the Cyndaquil's remark about being more intelligent. Who said he was trying to follow the conversation? Not following it exactly was a sign that he didn't care enough to listen, not that he wasn't smart. Stupid rat. Ezio grumbled to himself, sending heated glances to the Cyndaquil.

Another pokemon seemed to notice his efforts to dig himself out, a dark blue Vulpix of all the odd things, but he suggested that it would probably be easier to cut himself loose with his tail. Now there was an idea.... Ezio wasn't sure if the Vulpix was referring to the log or his chain, but it didn't matter, the Absol had a new plan of action in mind. He continued digging, much to the annoyance of the Cyndaquil as she demanded that he stop. She apparently had decided to task herself with not letting him escape, rushing forward to tackle him again, but this time Ezio was prepared for it, Detecting the attack long before it had come. He easily stopped her mid-attack and slammed her into the ground with his paws, catching her like a mouse in a trap. Ezio chuckled darkly. "Foolish Cyndaquil, didn't you know...? Children who try to play the hero are always the first to die." He leaned closer. "Now you're mine." He growled, pressing his claws harder on her soft belly.

With the Cyndaquil pinned, Ezio tugged his chain taut once again, swinging his bladed tail at it. The first swing loosened the steel, the second hacked it apart. He was free, and the notion delighted him as he cackled maniacally. "I owe you my thanks, Vulpix. I forgot that my physique is a double edged sword, being that I usually like to face my opponents head on." He turned his attention back to the Cyndaquil in his grasp. "He's right you know. It isn't pleasant being tied to a post, particularly with a loudmouthed little rat taunting you just outside of your reach. So tell me again, how your friends were going to protect you in the event of my escape...?" Ezio sneered.

"Nope~" Cyndaquil had sang back to his assumption, "Just in my ability to run and dodge~" She had done a good job up until then, after all. Had done a good job. She hadn't appreciated the Vulpix's comment-- at all-- and likely would have left him to deal with the absol so she could continue training once she made sure the stake was situated better in the ground. Nothing he had said made even the slightest bit of sense, after all-- he clearly had no idea what he was talking about, no clue on the situation, and he was claiming she didn't understand. It was... it was one of the most moronic things she had ever heard, in quite a while at least, unless he was trying to be a nasty little p***k playing the idiot. His tip to the other pokemon on a new method to escape suggested he might be. All the more reason to leave him to be the pokemon's first snack...

But she didn't get that chance. Before she could even finish her attack to try and dissuade the Absol from digging, he countered, and before she knew what was happening she was on her back with a heavy paw on her belly. She didn't flinch, though-- she gasped in shock, but glared back up at the pokemon. What... what!? He was jeering at her? Bah, moron. If he was as fierce as he claimed he would just finish her off. It looked like he was about ready to, though, and she quickly snapped in on her self, rolling forward to reach up, and bite his ankle, only to squeak and let go as he pressed down in response.

Well, no surprise there. "I'm not a child," she huffed, laying on her back, trying not to tremble in pain, or fear. Her voice remained strong, and her expression stubborn. "...... I'm sure they'll come, whether you kill me or not. No one else wants to die, and killing me will only confirm you're dangerous, and that they need to bring you down," she laid her head down, but Leered back up at him. She was determined not to show fear, even if some part of her cried out at the thought of actually dying. She was resolved to face death stoically.... like Kail would. Like most of her companions would. She didn't want to die... but she wasn't going to cry at the idea of it.

As Ren watched the two interact, he could get that the absol was... well, certainly not in the best of moods in regards to the Cyndaquil. He wouldn't blame him, though; the rat did taunt him and attack him while he was tied up. The absol managed to detect the cyndaquil's attack, pinning the fire type to the ground. Ren was slightly disturbed by the sudden violence, but it didn't show. Perhaps this muzzled absol was actually dangerous. Or perhaps he was very much annoyed by the rat that had been bothering him this whole time. Even though something was obviously not right with this absol, there wasn't anything Ren could do about it.

Ren snorted internally. The absol had actually forgot that his tail could cut him free, too? It just sounded weird to admit such a thing about yourself. The fur on the back of his neck bristled a bit as the absol cackled, now free from his chain. For a brief moment, he thought that perhaps he'd be safe from the absol since he wasn't hindering him. The doubt slowly grew as he listened to the interaction between the absol and the cyndaquil. "You don't owe me any thanks." Ren stated. "Now that you are free, however, why waste your time on this cyndaquil? Sure, she might have pestered you, but now you aren't stuck to that post. I'm sure you could find a better use for your energy." the vulpix added, still sitting in the same place he had been the whole time. From the corner of his eye, he noticed a miltank that seemed to have her attention on the situation. Ah, well, at least there was that, though it was little comfort. Ren wouldn't be able to really fight back if things got bad. He's only ever used Ember for show, and well... Tail whip didn't really do any damage. It was rather frustrating not being prepared for battle.

☆ ☆【 Sweet Belle was paying particularly close attention towards the small group of Pokemon a short distance away, consisting of an Absol, a Cyndaquil, and a dark colored Vulpix. She had noticed the Absol was tied up, likely as a means of keeping it away from the other Pokemon because of how dangerous it was. From the looks of it, the Absol was trying to escape from the leash that was binding it, though the Cyndaquil seemed bent on not letting such a thing happen as she tried to tackle him, likely in an attempt to either distract him or hold him down. Unfortunately, the plan quickly went awry as the Absol seemed to see the attack coming from a mile away, and caught the Cyndaquil with his paws before she could hit him and smashing her into the ground. The Cyndaquil tried to break herself free while the Absol easily cut through the chain with his bladed tail, but from the looks of it things were preparing to go from bad to worse. And it didn’t seem like any of the other Pokemon on the grounds were paying the slightest bit of attention to them. ” Well s**t…” the Miltank muttered, wasting no time as she sprang to her feet, ” Ky, it’s go time, now!” The Haxorus, who had been busily smashing away at rocks for the past several minutes, paused when she heard her name as she glanced over inquisitively towards Sweet Belle. ” Now? As in right now? I’m not even nearly finished with training… Surely it can wait, right?” Kyra responded with a soft mildly annoyed huff, wondering what on earth was more important than regaining her strength right now.
Sweet Belle rolled her eyes, curtly gesturing for the Haxorus to follow her.
” Ya can stop smashin’ yer damn rocks for ten seconds, can’t ya?! Someone’s in trouble, for Arceus’ sakes!” she growled, at least if cows were remotely capable of growling. Not even waiting for Kyra to get the gist of the situation's urgency, the Miltank took off at a dead sprint towards the group. Her idea was to at least try to smash the Absol off before the Cyndaquil either got hurt or even killed, and hopefully with the addition of Kyra it would be at the very least threatening enough to drive him off. If he was smart, he wouldn’t try to fight back in a situation where he was clearly outnumbered. At least, that was what she was thinking... The Haxorus seemed rather confused as to what was going on, but the moment she saw the Absol that had a Cyndaquil pinned underneath a paw and was looming over it in a clearly threatening manner, she quickly started running to follow after Sweet Belle. The Miltank was quite a bit faster than her, primarily since Kyra had exerted much of her energy on smashing apart those rocks, but she was able to catch up enough to follow at least a few feet behind her bovine companion.
Hearing footsteps behind her, Sweet Belle grinned to herself, assuming that Kyra had actually gotten her armored a** moving and was following her. Nearing the group, the Miltank went straight for a tackle as she charged in, checking the Absol shoulder-first as about one hundred and sixty pounds of Miltank bowled straight into him from the side.
” Oi, why dontcha pick on someone yer own size, ya blade-headed b*****d!” Sweet Belle snarled challengingly. The Miltank was likely getting in way over her head by choosing to get involved in a situation like this, but that was part of the reason why she had brought along a little ‘insurance policy’ in the form of Kyra to begin with. The Haxorus had thankfully not been too far behind as she stepped in, moving to place herself between the Absol and the two Fire-types nearby as she affixed the white-furred Dark-type with a dagger-sharp glare. To think that a Pokemon like him who was clearly quite strong was threatening those who were smaller and weaker than him, it was quite pathetic in her eyes… Nonetheless, the Haxorus shifted herself into a battle-ready stance, keeping a close eye on the Absol in the event that she would need to come to Sweet Belle’s assistance. Knowing how bull-headed the Miltank tended to be and how aggressive the Absol was, the situation could easily turn ugly in a heartbeat for those who weren’t prepared for the worst to happen. 】☆ ☆

Ezio was all too happy to drive the Cyndaquil into the ground. Her cocky words were annoying, and it was about time he made her shut up. She threatened that killing her now would only prove how dangerous he was, but Ezio hardly saw it as a threat. "Put a sock in it runt. It's your big talk that's gotten you in this position, it certainly isn't going to get you out." Ezio growled, rearing his head and then bringing if a little too close for comfort towards her, snapping his jaws and hoping to make her flinch and squirm. It would have been more intimidating if this stupid muzzle didn't cover his mouth, but it still would have been pretty scary for such a small, trapped creature.

The odd navy colored Vulpix suggested that Ezio didn't owe him any thanks, but did suggest that he not waste his time and energy on the Cyndaquil. Perhaps there were better uses for his energy, but it was just so satisfying, Ezio couldn't help but toy with the fire type beneath his paws. "Perhaps.... But time that you enjoy wasting, isn't wasted time, now is it...?" He sugested musingly, sending a malicious but delighted glare down at the Cyndaquil as she attempted to bite his ankle only to be forced back down with an amusing squeak as he pressed her harder beneath his claws.

What the Absol wasn't expecting however, was the Hockey check from a Miltank's shoulder right in his side. The Absol let out a surprised "Oof!" As he was flung back, standing shakily as he attempted to recover from the impact. He'd certainly been blindsided, but now he was seeing red. That damn heifer.... How dare she make a fool of him! "Heheheheh..... Gahahaha!!!" Ezio chuckled darkly. "You've messed with the wrong predator Bessy." Ezio sneered. "Come on then!" Digging his claws into the ground, Ezio made a wild charge towards the Miltank, horn growing in size as he prepped a Megahorn to hit her squarely in the chest.

Cyndaquil wheezed from under Ezio's paw, but glared up at him the whole time, defiant till the end. She might have been scared, she might have nearly shook when he brought his head down and snapped at her, but she remained stoic, barely quivering in response only to grow stiff and still again, struggling for each breath. She could feel his claws on her stomach, the weight of his paw crushing down on her, but his maw was bound-- he would have to use his claws to end her, and that was where her focus was.

But before she could be finished off, unable to pay attention to the Vulpix's words, the pokemon above her was suddenly knocked aside by a blur of pink. She groaned, but rolled up onto her feet, her paws on her stomach as she tiredly looked over. She felt a little... sore, and out of breath, and in pain, but... she was alive! She looked up as a large, strong-looking pokemon stood in front of her and the vulpix, glancing at the other fire pokemon with a less than impressed stare. At least someone saw fit to help....

Ren tilted his head, staring at the absol as he responded. Hm. That... certainly was sadistic. His attempt to dissuade the dark type from maiming the cyndaquil didn't go over well. Well, that was all he could manage in such a situation. Thankfully, before things could get worse, the miltank intervened, followed by a large dragon type. While the cow took care of the absol, the dragon type had stood between them and the fight. Ren looked at the now freed Cyndaquil, noticing the unimpressed stare. "What?" he questioned, ears swiveling back a bit. It's not like he could do anything. Well, in retrospect, perhaps he shouldn't have even said anything, but that was done and over with. Ren turned away with a little huff, a tiny blue flame flickering out of his mouth before sizzling out in the air.

☆ ☆【 Dashing towards the Absol with the Cyndaquil pinned underneath his paw, Sweet Belle grit her teeth as she saw the white-furred beast snap at the fire mouse. Of course, it didn’t look nearly as intimidating as it might have since he still had the muzzle on his face, but it was clear that he was trying to frighten the little Cyndaquil first. Thankfully, that was enough to buy her and Kyra some time as they closed in on the group. The Cyndaquil didn’t seem scared for the most part, likely remaining defiant and fearless in the face of the clearly larger Pokemon to provoke his ire. Sweet Belle had to give the little mouse credit for that, knowing that showing fear in the face of danger was only providing a weakness that could be used against you in any way possible. With the Absol thoroughly distracted with the Cyndaquil, the Miltank’s tackle blind-sided him as she smashed right into his side. The Dark-type was flung back a good couple of feet, forcing him to release his hold on the Cyndaquil as he fell back with a surprised ‘Oof!’ in response. Sweet Belle snorted as she shouted out a challenge to him, drawing his attention to her while Kyra took the opportunity to place herself between the two Fire-types and the fight. The Absol stood, clearly shaken from the impact as he glared towards Sweet Belle.
The Miltank folded her arms across her chest as she glowered back at him.
” Didn’t yer momma ever tell ya t’ not play wit’ yer food? Clearly ya haven’t learned yer lesson then,” she growled, facing the Absol in anticipation of what he was going to do next. The Miltank’s eyes narrowed as he chuckled darkly in return, saying that she messed with the wrong predator. ” Ah please, ya call yerself a goddamn predator, ya clearly like ********’ expositionin’ yerself more than killin’ right off the bat. I’ve seen Bidoofs that were a helluva lot scarier than yew, ya great white dunder’ead,” she snarled back, clearly unmoved by the Absol’s attempt to scare her. On the other hand, it seemed that the Miltank’s initial plan of using intimidation by numbers and size to run him off wasn’t working, so that meant it was on to Plan B. Kyra glanced back towards the Fire-types briefly, maintaining her battle stance in the event she would need to get involved. Now freed, the Cyndaquil seemed a bit out of breath, but otherwise was fine as it glared towards the navy-colored Vulpix, who had done nothing apart from sitting and watching the whole thing unfold. The Haxorus wasn’t entirely certain as to why the Absol had been chained up in the first place, but now that it was free, clearly it had been tied up for good reason. She smirked slightly as the Vulpix caught the Cyndaquil’s unimpressed gaze, asking ‘What?’ in response before huffing and turning away. Well, as long as everyone was alright… Kyra glanced back towards the fight in time to see the Absol charging towards Sweet Belle with a Megahorn attack. Looked like that was her signal for intervention!
Sweet Belle glared at the Absol as he came at her with Megahorn, prepared to roll out of the line of the attack and attempt to counterattack back at him. However, before the attack could strike her, a loud ‘CLANG!’ echoed through the air as the Absol’s enlarged horn met with the blades of a certain Haxorus. Kyra had come in between Sweet Belle and Ezio in the nick of time to deflect the Absol’s strike, the armor-plated Dragon-type glaring at the Dark-type icily.
” Belle, I vould suggest zhat you stand back,” Kyra spoke up, her voice oozing calm and thick with her Russian accent that was now becoming more prominent. Pressing her weight onto her own blades, she shoved the Absol back, the Haxorus snorting as she sized him up. As a former fighter of the Underground League, Kyra was no stranger to facing against wild and aggressive opponents, and Ezio was certainly no different. There was no such thing as mercy or surrender in the Underground, fighting was the only way to ensure your survival, besting your opponent was the only way to secure your victory and live to see another day. Sweet Belle frowned at the Haxorus’s suggestion to stand back, the Miltank was never one to back down from a challenge, especially from someone like this b*****d of an Absol. But she complied, knowing better than to argue with Kyra. If someone who was easily two feet taller than you and had a thick Russian accent told you to get out of the way, you do it, no questions asked. Stepping back, Sweet Belle decided she would let Kyra do her business and jump in to help if it looked like she needed it. For now, she turned her attention towards the two Fire-types, a concerned look in her eyes as she looked towards the Cyndaquil. ” Are ya alright, darlin’?” she asked, her tone of voice shifting a little towards being a bit sweeter and rather worried. She may be bull-headed and rebellious, but even Sweet Belle knew to look out for the little ones as well. ” Yer a brave lil’ thing, ya know? What ya did there was mighty courageous o’ ya. Stupid, o’ course, since ya nearly got yerself killed, but courageous nonetheless,” the Miltank added with a nod. She really did admire the Cyndaquil for remaining adamantly defiant in the face of a situation that could’ve potentially killed her.
Kyra on the other hand was glaring at the Absol, prepared for a fight as she watched him carefully.
” So, you fancy yourzelf a predator, do you not?” she asked, her voice unwavering from the calm front that she had been displaying thus far. ” Tell me zhen… Vhy vaste your time and energy on zhose who vould not ztand a chance against you, vhen you could be facing a much more vorthvhile challenger,” she finished, eyeing him with quiet intent and never letting up her battle stance. It was clear that this Absol was dangerous, but she lived for danger… It was because of her experience in the Underground League that she had grown to love living on the edge and fighting for the sheer sake of it. Besides, after smashing nothing but rocks for the past hour or so, it would be a refreshing change of pace to train against something that was actually capable of fighting back… 】☆ ☆

This Miltank had as big of a mouth as the Cyndaquil, neither of them knew when to shut up. Her taunting only enraged Ezio further as he charged at her with his megahorn, surely a goo walloping would make her think twice about insulting him so openly. However, Ezio's horn was soon met with it's match as the Haxorus he hadn't seen before on standby intercepted his attack before he did some real damage to Sweet Belle. Ezio's fiery gaze locked with the Haxorus' icy stare, neither giving an inch as their blades locked. The dragon wisely suggested that her Miltank comrade took a step back, in other words, she needed to get the hell out of dodge, because s**t was about to go down.

Ezio's eyes narrowed in wild amusement as the brave Haxorus asked why he wasted his time on weaker opponents if he really was the predator he claimed to be. "Because weaklings who insult me don't get to walk away unscathed just because they aren't a threat to me. Weak, strong, big, small.... None of it matters, I'll gladly strike down any pokemon who tries to make a fool of me and put them in their place. If I have to go through you to get my claws around their throats, then so be it!" Ezio cackled, giving a sudden shove to Kyra. She was strong, a worthy opponent certainly, Ezio was actually rather excited to have a challenge.

The bladed duel began, practically a pokemon version of a sword fight. Ezio was relentlessly whipping his head this way and that with expert maneuvers, trying to find a hole in Kyra's defenses, but with each advance, he was met with Kyra's head blades again and again, a resounding CLANG echoing out each time they clashed. Ezio was getting nowhere fast with this, and jumped back, knowing he had an advantage over the heavily armored pokemon in speed at the very least. With a safe distance created, Ezio buffered his horn again, sending himself hurdling towards the Haxorus this time.

Cyndaquil stared at the Vulpix, then huffed, shaking her head. "You really have no redeeming qualities," she muttered rather flatly, brushing at her belly, wincing. She was sore, and she was pretty sure he'd pricked the skin a bit with his claws, but it could have been worse. She would just have to be careful with her training, to make sure she didn't worsen what damage had been done. Or maybe the people at the day care could heal her... Speaking of which, where the hell were they!?

She looked ahead, not smiling, but feeling a sort of.. satisfaction well up in her chest as she watched the Miltank metaphorically butt heads with the Absol. She knew others would come to her aide, and she was more than grateful for the duo's assistance. They were both rather impressive, too, and even though the Absol didn't seem to recognize the situation he was in, she was feeling quite confident. And grateful.

She watched as the Haxorus took over, blocking the Absol's attacking and allowing the Miltank to step back. She looked up as she was addressed, though, letting out a heavy breath, but then putting on a smile. "Fine now, thank you," she replied happily. She shook her head, then her whole body a bit, to remove the final, anxious sensations from her close encounter. "At least it caught you and your friends attention. She looks strong, strong enough to at least give him a fight for his money." She rubbed her belly, watching the fight curiously, then looking back at the pink pokemon.

"Thank you for coming over. I'm glad some pokemon around here are still willing to stop something like that from happening. You're name is Belle?" She'd heard the Haxorus call her that, at least. Or thought she did. It was a little hard to tell with the accent.

Ren's ears twitched at the Cyndaquil's response. "Well, you're no prize, either. You were the one taunting that tied up beast. What did you expect? A nice 'how d'you do?' after riling him up?" the vulpix replied snidely. The dark blue fox then sighed, lifting a paw and giving it a lick before standing up. The fight had escalated to between the armored dragon and the absol, and the miltank was only interested in the well being for the Cyndaquil, pretty much. He shook himself as if to rid himself of any dust that might have settled on him, then gave another huff, sticking his nose up in the air a bit. "Hmph. Not like i could do anything, anyways." He grumbled under his breath and started to walk away from the group. "Au revoir. Congrats on not being ... mauled." Ren called out as he padded away from the group, tails in the air.

Tria ran with her eyes closed, but she didn't trip, and she didn't collide. It helped that the area was open, with trees lining the large clearing. She was far from the entrance, else she might have noticed the commotion going on there, but as far as she was, she couldn't even pick up on the slightest sound if she'd been listening. Instead all she could hear was the wind against her ears, the sound of her hoofs pounding against the ground as she galloped over the grass, mentally tracking her location on the grounds. She was moving fast, turning at broad turns, but steep angles, only opening her eyes to confirm where she was in relation to the trees. She was enjoying the space, and the freedom to roam at her own pace.

☆ ☆【 Sweet Belle was prepared to sidestep the Absol’s Megahorn as he came at her, and follow up with another tackle before he knew what hit him. Clearly her taunting was enraging him even further, but she wasn’t about to let him think that he could so easily overpower her no matter how much stronger he was than her. Nevertheless, the Miltank was grateful for Kyra intervening when she had, the Haxorus blocking Ezio’s Megahorn with her own axe-blades as a loud CLANG rang through the air. Her partner clearly having the situation well under control for now, Sweet Belle gladly stepped back as Kyra sagely advised her to get out of the way. s**t was about to get real now from the looks of it, and Arceus knows that her best bet was to let the two of them duke it out amongst themselves. Instead, she turned her attention towards the two Fire-types, her ears flicking slightly as the Cyndaquil glared at the navy-colored Vulpix nearby with a very unimpressed expression as she said that he had no redeeming qualities. The Vulpix was more or less displeased with the comment, retaliating by saying that she was no prize either since she had been the one taunting the Absol to begin with and riling him up. When Sweet Belle asked the little fire mouse if she was alright, the Cyndaquil took a breath and smiled, saying that she was fine now and thanking her for coming to assist her. She nodded in response, watching and listening as the Cyndaquil shook herself off and went on to say that her partner looked strong, perhaps even strong enough to give that furry b*****d a run for his money. ” Yeah, Kyra’s a pretty strong gal if I say so m’self, ya can count on ‘er t’ keep ya safe if yer in a really tight spot,” the Miltank affirmed with a grin and a nod, glancing over towards the Haxorus as the fight began to escalate between her partner and the Absol. Her attention went back over towards the Cyndaquil as she thanked her for coming over and helping when she had, saying that she was glad at least some Pokemon were willing to stop something like that from happening. ” Don’t mention it, sweetheart. B’sides, it seemed everyone else ‘round here’s too busy with havin’ their heads so far up their asses that they can’t be bothered t’ step in an’ intervene in a situation that could’ve easily gone t’ s**t in seconds. ‘Twas only fittin’ that Kyra n’ I decided t’ take matters into our own hands,” Sweet Belle responded, snorting slightly and rolling her shoulders as she glanced over towards the other Pokemon present. Hell, even the goddamn Xerneas standing several yards away could’ve jumped in to help and potentially averted this crisis to begin with… Jeez, such reliable ‘friends’ they were.
The Miltank glanced towards the Vulpix, who decided to take his leave of them and go off elsewhere, calling out a sarcastic-sounding congratulations towards the Cyndaquil for not being mauled to death as he walked away. Sweet Belle simply shrugged, looking back towards the Cyndaquil as she asked if her name was Belle, apparently having heard Kyra address her as such just moments before.
” Technically it’s Sweet Belle, but feel free t’ call me Belle or whatever tickles yer fancy,” the Miltank answered with a nod and a smile, glancing back over towards the fight once more, ” Ya know, it’d probably be best that we follow yer Vulpix comrade’s example. I ain’t sayin’ I’m doubtin’ Kyra’s abilities, but if that furry b*****d some’ow manages t’ get past ‘er, Arceus knows he’ll probably come after our asses next faster n’ a Zubat outta ‘ell.” Sweet Belle truly didn’t mind carrying on a conversation with the Cyndaquil, but she had a feeling that it would be best to continue their talk in an area as far away from here as possible. With Kyra battling and distracting the Absol, it would give them a chance to get away and find some place to lay low for a time. As mentioned before, as bull-headed and defiant as Sweet Belle was, she was certainly not stupid, and she knew that they weren’t out of the hot water just yet as long as the Absol was still at least a few yards away.
After making sure that Belle was a good distance away, Kyra met the Absol’s fiery glare with her own ice-cold gaze as they stood off against each other. Ezio seemed amused by her statement of why he was even bothering to waste his time and energy on weaker opponents if he was truly the predator he claimed himself to be. He responded, saying that weaklings who insult him don’t get away unscathed just because they weren’t a threat to him. It didn’t matter how large or small or strong or weak they were, he would willingly strike down any Pokemon who dared to make a fool out of him and put them in their place. Therefore he would gladly accept her challenge and beat her if it meant getting at the ones who had ridiculed him. Kyra grunted as he shoved at her, the Haxorus digging her claws into the ground as she growled back at him.
” As Arceus is my vitness, I vill not hesitate to ztrike you down vhere you ztand if you dare lay a claw on Belle and zhat Cyndaquil,” the Haxorus huffed back, rearing back up and getting into a battle-ready position, ” Have at you zhen, beast!” And with that, the duel began as the two of them went at each other. Kyra swung her head with practiced precision and the expertise of a well-trained warrior, easily meeting and parrying Ezio’s blows as he whipped his head around and clashed his blade with her own. Each time their blades met, a shrill CLANG reverberated around them, Kyra trying to find a proper opening in the Absol’s defenses so she could strike him down with a well-placed blow. However, it seemed that they weren’t getting anywhere fast with their fight, and Kyra stepped back slightly as the Absol jumped away, putting some distance between them.
As heavily-armored as she was, Kyra knew that Ezio had an advantage over her in terms of speed. Of course, it was to be expected, knowing how inherently fast Absols were in comparison to Haxorus, but she wasn’t about to let him get the better of her that easily. She saw him come towards her with another Megahorn attack, and quickly planned out what she would do next. Dropping down until she was just about on all fours, Kyra bore her armor towards him while shielding her more vulnerable areas in a ‘turtle’ position. Her plan of action was to let him get close enough, within striking range, and then retaliate with an Outrage attack if possible. Of course, it wouldn’t matter whether he struck her or not before she countered, but she was prepared to deflect the incoming blow with her own blades either way as she watched him get closer and closer.
Meanwhile, in the small Daycare building, a new arrival glanced up nervously at the handlers who were moving to take her out of the transfer area she had been sent in and take her outside. The Electrike wasn’t sure of what she should do, instinctively shrinking away from the hands of the Daycare helpers as they tried to pick her up.
” Come now, dearie, no need to be shy~” cooed a woman as she moved to scoop up the Electrike, who had nowhere to go now as she realized, much to her chagrin, that she had backed herself into a corner. Ampere’s eyes went wide the moment she felt the woman’s bare hands against her fur. ” N-No! Wait!” she yelped, pawing at the caretaker’s hands in a desperate attempt to get her to let go. But it was too late… Next thing she knew, she heard the woman gasp in pain and alarm as static electricity from the Electrike’s fur shocked her, causing her to drop the little Electric-type just as she was lifting her up and out. Ampere felt herself fall about two feet and land belly-first onto the wooden flooring below, the Electrike wasting no time as she scrambled to her feet and bolted out the opening leading to the outside in a panic. Even as oak floors gave way to lush grass beneath her paws, Ampere didn’t stop running as she bolted across the yard, not daring to look back out of fear that the caretakers were chasing after her with intent to punish her. Reaching a small patch of bushes soon enough, the Electrike quickly jumped in to hide herself, panting as she tried to catch her breath from running so much.
Ampere took deep breaths, taking a chance to peek around the bushes to see if anyone had been chasing after her. She could see some other Pokemon, playing around with each other, fighting, or just enjoying the open space of the area in general. It didn't look like anyone was chasing after her, though, and hopefully she hadn't brought too much attention to herself in her panicked sprint to get to a safe area. Breathing a soft sigh of relief, the Electrike sat down within the safety of the bushes, frowning as she stared towards the ground with a saddened look on her face. She really hoped she hadn’t caused too much harm to the poor woman who only wanted to help her… Arceus, why did stuff like this have to happen to her of all Pokemon? It wasn’t like she really intended to hurt anyone or anything, but she really couldn’t help it… As a youngling of only almost a year old or so, Ampere unfortunately had little to no control over her static ability whatsoever, which brought along with it the misfortune of unintentionally delivering painful and sometimes paralyzing shocks to those who touched her. She really didn’t mean to hurt those who only wanted to pet her or nuzzle her or hug her… but with her static out of her control as it was, it was for the best that she avoid coming into close contact with others as much as possible. She was perfectly fine with interacting with other Pokemon and people as it stood, but she tried her best to not let them touch her or else they would end up getting shocked and wind up being extremely cross with her… Sighing softly, Ampere decided she would just lay low in these bushes for a bit, just to make sure that the coast was really clear before she dared go back out in the open again.

The Daycare Center had become rather... lively, and for a moment Titan found itself distracted by the more raucous individuals. The violence of some was certainly something to keep in mind, but since he hadn't been instructed to apprehend any sort of troublemakers the pokemon left the matter alone. Just so long as Hinata wasn't in any sort of danger... its head swiveled towards a gathering of trees, where the Ralts' trademark red horn could just barely be seen. Negative. Its ward was in no immediate danger, which meant it could continue the new task of 'conversing'. Training came in all shapes and forms.

"Affirmative." it droned, not a hint of emotion to be found. "I have been tasked with becoming stronger." the fingers on its left hand curled casually into a fist before Titan punched the air, as to emphasis the task. With its arm still extended, the Golett cocked its head to allow its empty gaze to scrutinize Yulia. How had she known? "Affirmative." it repeated. "The Daycare Center is has met all standards and expectations. I am 99.99% satisfied." of course, it could never be completely satisfied. Nothing by human hands would ever be able to provide it with that. But, as far as human attempts went, this establishment had come close. "If you are 'straight up bored', Yulia, there are a few areas designed for entertainment."
