It was a rather rocky landing in Fuchsia City. Dova really needed practice the whole carrying a person on her back while also landing on the ground safely. She didn’t intend to smash into the ground with Lafayette on her back or anything, it was just the way things played out. Luckily he saw it coming and managed to jump off well before he became a stain on the ground, allowing Dova to skid into a tree of her own accord. Poor dragon.

She had a bit of a bump on her head from that crash but maybe that would teach her to fly. He shook his head, giving her a gentle pat before starting to move out to investigate the area. There really wasn’t much to this town, was there? There was a gym, but he wouldn’t be able to challenge it at this point. Apparently it was the… what… fifth of this region? And he only had three badges, which meant there was no way he’d be allowed to take it on. He didn’t really care though; the whole badge getting thing was Juliean’s command, not his. He’d only be getting them if he found himself told to do so or if there was really nothing better to do. The last thing he was really concerned with after all, was badge getting.

Lafayette stood outside the remnants of the Pokemon Zoo, a frown firmly set on his face as he stared down the abandoned pens. This would’ve actually been something cool to see if it was still up and functioning. The old signs of the pokemon that used to occupy them were still up though, which didn’t do him much good. He couldn’t read them well enough. With a sigh, he rolled his eyes and continued moving along. He was supposed to be finding these so called ‘space readings’ or whatever, but for the time being his watch wasn’t beeping which he assumed, if he had understood Juliean correctly, meant he was nowhere near where he needed to be. There wasn’t much more he could do but wander.

While Lafayette wandered around the city haplessly trying to find the right place to be, Dova took to the skies once more to practice her flying. She was one of those types that scrambled across the ground more often than she was in the air and it showed. It wasn’t as though she had an issue with flying; she greatly enjoyed it in fact. It was just something she didn’t do often. No she preferred to be violating the personal spaces of people and pokemon alike because that was how you made friends, in her opinion. Scents, movements, emotions and all that glorious stuff were best observed by being right close to the people. It probably hadn’t helped that she’d practically been raised from a Noibat hanging off of people, and eventually Lafayette, all her life. That was how she learned to socialize and that was what she continued to do even in her Noivern state.
But that was no excuse for not knowing how to fly well and it seemed they’d be doing a bit of traveling that involved just that so she took the time to practice. She remembered at least how to get on the updraft to get up into the air. Maybe it was just the landing thing. Eventually though Lafayette returned; he’d found the spot and gotten the reading just as intended.
"C’mon Dova." He remarked, earning a chirp as the Noivern wiggled and let him climb onto her back once more. He took a brief moment to fiddle with the map on his communicator, getting a general clue of their next destination. He was intending to go from region to region so the next stop was Johto, which was Blackthorn City. Hm… alright then. With a gentle kick to the sides, he ushered Dova up and into the air, once more bracing himself against the turbulent start before they were finally soaring free.

After what had quickly become a standard routine Alexandra once again found herself alone as Aja went off to find her star shard. She stretched and then with a curious look turned to look at Tropius. It was starting to look a bit worn out, which was understandable considering all the nonstop traveling they'd done, and with a look of sympathy Alexandra pulled out a water bottle from her bag. "Just let me get you a bowl," she told the pokemon before she turned to head to the pokecenter, they'd had one at the last place she'd visited, so it was safe to presume they had disposable ones here as well.

Alexandra waved in greeting to the stationed Nurse Joy behind the counter as she entered the pokecenter, not staying around long enough for much more than the simple passing as she quickly made it towards the cafeteria. Once there she grabbed a bowl and, after some thought, a few more fruits in the process-- it was important to stay energized after all. Even if Tropius had ate earlier on, that had been a few cities ago and since then they'd done quite a bit of traveling, even going from one region to the other in the process, it was most likely hungry again.

With bowl and fruit in arms Alexandra made her way out of the pokecenter, stopping just long enough to bid Nurse Joy a good rest of the day. The brunette had barely even stepped out of the red-roofed building, however, when she was intercepted by an eager Tropius who, when seeing the food, gave a joyous cry before stomping back to where it'd been waiting. Alexandra chuckled before she shook her head and followed after the pokemon, setting the bowl down near it before she filled it with water. She waited for the pokemon to get a swallow or two of water before holding out the fruit to it, another laugh escaping her as Tropius began to eagerly chow down.

As Tropius continued to happily eat from her hand Alexandra couldn't help but look over the pokemon, eyes curious as they roamed down its body. From what she could it was a rather loyal partner to Aja, and the two were rather close; given the familiar way Aja had spoken to it early. That prompted the question, however, just where had this pokemon been earlier, when Aja and her brother had been attacked by that group of pokemon? Obviously, there was the chance that it had been with her and just been knocked unconscious in an earlier battle, but when they'd first met Aja hadn't had any pokeballs on her. It was... odd, to say the least.

Alexandra wasn't allowed to ponder the past whereabouts of Tropius for long, Aja's speedy return pulling the young woman from her thoughts. At first, upon seeing her run towards them, she expected Aja to be running from something, perhaps another treasure hunter or the like? But, her fears were quickly put to rest when the brunette noticed the smile on Aja's face and, with a soft sigh of relief, she was able to chalk up her rush to excitement.
