Getting smashed by one Bulldozer Corsola stood strong and readied herself for another attack. "New idea Corsola, brace yourself and use Mirror Coat!" Corsola nodded and her hard skin gleamed as she changed from pink to a reflective coat. As the second bulldozer hit came into contact the rock move was absorbed and reflected back at the ground Pokemon with double the power. ((So if I got this right it's Bulldozer power of 160 * 2 = 320 (levels negate themselves with the def and off being the same?))

It would do 2 x the total damage (200, in this case) and then minus the attacking pokemon's defense buff (so 40, totalling to 2 x 200 = 400 - 40 = 360), if it worked. But... Bulldoze isn't a Special Attack, it's a physical ^^;; So mirror coat, unfortunately, doesn't work... Sorry >< ;;

Clay frowned as his opponent tried to turn the attack against him. Lucky for him, Bulldoze was all physical, but, soowee, that could have been bad if it had been a special attack... "Hang in there, Excadrill! Finish it off with one more Bulldoze!" he instructed, hands on his hips as he somberly watched the battle. Considering all the damage that Greninja did to his team, he was pulling through pretty darn well.

Returning Corsola Simon frowned, half his team was down but there was only one Pokemon left. Nodding he turned to Evelyn who allowed his Palpitoad to come out onto the field. Sadly Simon wasn't sure he could do much so he used this time to use a revive to bring Greninja back.

Simon smiled, "Yes Palpitoad gave himself to allow Greninja to come back out and I will thank him later by giving him a nice long rest. Maybe even going to a Massage Parlor later. Until then Greninja, show off your strongest move to him, Hyrdo Cannon!" Greninja unleashed a powerful blast of water that he had been storing up directly at the gym leader's Pokemon. It was such a strong attack that he would need to rest the next turn but that was the power behind the stronger moves.

"Thank you Greninja," Simon said returning him. "And thank you Clay that was a great battle, tough but informative." Shaking the gym leader's hand Simon pulled out his badge case and opened it showing the five from Kalos and four from Unova before putting Clay's into its place. Once it was there he closed it and took the TM slipping it into his Pokenav where all the TMs were loaded. "I need to heal my team up, they deserve a long rest. Thanks again Clay." With that Simon and Evelyn went into the elevator and went back to the Pokecenter to heal them all up.

Palpitoad would go into the PC for a rest after the Lucky Egg item vanished from him. "Thanks for your support on this Evelyn." "My pleasure, and I have a gift for you for getting your tenth badge."Taking an orb from her bag she gave it to him, "That's a griseous orb, known to change Giratina's form for whenever you see it.""Thank you so much,"he said kissing her cheek after putting the orb away. Saying goodbye Evelyn went outside and sent out the family's Talonflame which they used to get around when a flying Pokemon wasn't on their team. Scanning it before she left she flew off waving goodbye.

Relaxing in the Pokecenter Simon checked the information on the three Pokemon Clay had he never saw. First off was "Krokorok the dessert croc Pokemon. They live in groups of a few individuals. Protective membranes shield their eyes from sandstorms." "Sandslash the mouse Pokemon. Sandslash can roll up its body as if it were a ball covered with large spikes. In battle, this Pokemon will try to make the foe flinch by jabbing it with its spines. it then leaps at the stunned foe to tear wildly with its sharp claws."and finally, "Excadrill the subterranean Pokemon. It can help in tunnel construction. Its drill has evolved into steel strong enough to bore through iron plates." At the same time there was the family's traveling bird of "Talonflame the scorching Pokemon. When attacking prey, it can reach speeds of up to 310 mph. It finishes its prey off with a colossal kick." As interesting as reading a book on all these Pokemon Simon would often read outside with the Skiddo when he worked on the ranch back home.

"Stupid Pokemon!" Simon heard looking up from his Pokenav and seeing a young trainer yelling at his Pokemon in the corner of the Pokecenter's rest area. Watching the pair Simon scanned the little Pokemon learning that it was, "Beheeyem the cerebral Pokemon. It uses psychic power to control an opponent's brain and tamper with its memories." That seemed powerful but the kid was yelling about how weak he was. The Beheeyem looked dejected but it wasn't his fault, if the trainer couldn't take care of him well enough that was on the trainer. "Forget you I need to find a stronger Pokemon than you," he said and stomped away tossing the empty Pokeball in the trash. Standing up Simon went over to him sending out Greninja who went over as well. "Hey, that wasn't fair to you are you okay?""Nin ja, gree?" There were a few chirps and lights blinking on his hands so Simon went to the PC and got Dusknoir out returning Greninja. Dusknoir was silent, "He lost a battle," he said. Beheeyem beeped some more. "He was caught in a different region, and has no way to get home." "Would you like to come with me, I will take care of you." Dusknoir must have spoken highly of him as the Beheeyem seemed to be really happy allowing Simon to get him into a Pokeball then go to the PC as Simon went and returned Dusknoir as well after telling him, "Hey after Palpitoad is done with his egg I'll bring you out too."
