Landing at the Lake of Rage, Scarlett found herself at another terrain that might prove to be an obstacle, much like the mountain she had searched earlier. The lake was quite vast, such that she wasn't sure how long it might take to circle all the way around in search of another egg. Reluctantly letting Vandal out of his pokeball, Scarlett turned to the zoroark in disguise and gestured to the lake. "Well, pick a side." She suggested. Vandal looked around at the lake with a light sigh but otherwise didn't complain. At least the area was fairly flat, unlike the cities he'd been searching around in prior to the area. "I'll go this way I suppose." He insisted, heading off in the direction when Scarlett didn't seem to voice any opposition as she went in the opposite direction.

Weaving through the trees, Scarlett sighed, feeling like she was getting no where finding this egg until she crossed paths with an older fisherman sitting on the edge of the water with his rod. Upon seeing Scarlett he chuckled, causing the redhead to give the man a quizzical look. "You look lost young lady." Scarlett frowned. "I'm not lost. I'm looking for something." She insisted, making sure her irritation didn't let her accent slip through the cracks. "Ohh, I see, you're one of them egg hunters aren'tcha?" He chuckled again good naturedly. The old fisherman gave Scarlett a pitying look. "Sorry lassie. If you want, you can borrow my rod and fish up a pokemon to try and capture and go searchin' for you." He offered. "I already have water pokemon and a rod of my own, thanks." She continued to insist indignantly. She wasn't helpless after all. Pulling out Pearl's water ball, Scarlett sent out the wartortle in a flash, who looked up at her trainer curiously with twitching ears. "I need you to go searching that lake for a colored egg, like one of these." Scarlett showed her one of the other eggs in her bag to use as reference, and Pearl nodded before diving into the lake.

The group touched down at the Lake of Rage and Ashley furrowed his brow. He was familiar with the history of the lake but his primary concern was where the egg would be located. Ashley spent a short amount of time staring out across the water before finally beginning to move. Landing in a semi secluded area of the woods, Tay and Avikna quickly dismounted their respective flyers and advanced towards the lake. It was a calm day, the lake was on lowtide, meaning there was plenty of time to explore the area that normally was sunk under several feet of water. With little people around, Tay released Vivi to help her look as well. She hadn't forgotten Garnet, and how bravely the Grovyle had fought. using a revive on the grass-type to bring her back from her fainted condition. It was still going to be awhile before they managed to reach a Pokemon Center after all. Avikna trailed behind with Nepherit at her side, running along like the excited pup dragon that she was. When a Noctowl swooped down from a tree, the pup was eager to bark a challenge up at the bird. To which the bird returned in kind with his own squawk.

In the end Nepherit won. The bird flew off in it's defeat, retreating into the thick woods. Kneeling down when Nepherit ran up to her, Avikna offered the canine a few potions. After she was all healed up and ready to go, he red-head gave her a couple pats on her head, then stood up and rejoined Tay. They found a location to rest not long after. Tay went about searching for her egg, trailing along the usual suspects, along with Vivi as well. The wood were thick and secluded enough, that it shouldn't really be to much of a problem to have the strange Pokemon out and about. Avikna on the other hand, encountered a passing duo of Flaaffy. One turned and baaed a challenge, it appeared younger than the other, perhaps more fueled with adrenaline that it's partner. This didn't matter much for Nepherit, who was eager to battle regardless.

Nepherit barked in her triumph over the sheep. The other Flaaffy came to it's companions side, lowering down on all fours to check on it. Nepherit's dragonbreath had left a bit of a scorch mark, but nothing that wouldn't heal on it's own over time. Even still, the other Flaaffy was brave, and stood back up on it's hind legs to challenge Nepherit. It appeared to want to defend it's companion's honor. However, much like it's friend... it didn't last long. In the end Nepherit came up triumphant once more. 'Pretty soon I"ll be as strong as papa!' The canine barked. Nearby, resting behind a tree, Mave let out a snort in laughter. The pup still believed her that Ookoth was her father? What a riot.

Just as they were settling in for some sleep, a Noctowl swooped in, looking for a fight. It started bothering Arietty, to which the dragon simply ignored it, but Nepherit was all in for one last fight before bed, sending out her azure and amethyst coloured flames at the owl. It retaliated using Zen Headbutt, but as he swooped in, the paralysis from Nepherit's attack took hold, sending the bird to the forest floor instead. Nepherit took care of it from there with another bout of dragonbreath. The bird retreated roughly, leaving the group in silence once more.
The rest of the night was uneventful, but when the group woke up, Tay noticed an egg sitting within some brush as she splashed her face with some water form the lake. Snatching up her egg, she returned to Avikna to show it off. Not long after, the group was once more airborne, heading to their last stop in Johto.
