The blueblood caught himself before he managed to topple back completely, and let out a feral roar. Even though the bunker barely looked any worse for wear since the start of the fight, enough was enough. Wringing out the final dregs of his strength, he lurched forward to repeat his previous attack, jamming his batons savagely up into the open panels around the cube's dangerous appendages. The fizzing of electricity that he'd hoped to hear never came; instead he was rewarded with a swift downward zap against his unprotected back. As before, it took a moment before the sensation of the burn made itself apparent, and by then his eyes had begun to glass over as he fought to remain ******** find its weak spot. We gotta..."
Zeffer wobbled precariously, his vision swimming. While his thinkpan was stuck on attack mode cruise control, his broken, bloody body simply couldn't keep up with it any longer. He finally fell to his knees after trying to look back to Byakko, and immediately began to struggle to his feet. It couldn't end this way....

As you feel the last of your fighting strength leave you, the lights targeting you suddenly shift to green. With a loud buzz, similar to the first alarm, the huge machine swings itself around and a giant door opens in it's front. Out of it shoots a net, hitting you with unerring accuracy. Wrapping around you and tripping you, it is sharply pulled backwards into the gaping door in the machine which slams shut behind. Everything goes dark. Your troll has been captured! Feel free to roleplay their last moments before being dragged in, then wait for future updates.

Vulpin watched Forera press away. He had to keep calm in this situation- it's what Sly would want. He tried his best to breathe, to remain calm.
Forera wasn't looking so good. Vulpin knew that having her defending him would be dangerous, but he was worried if she was in the right mindset to get anything done. Vulpin pushed the tealblood aside, taking a turn to try and crack the code. The door beeped in defiance. "Dammit!" he cursed under his breath.

932/1000how 2 bossfite | wiggler version: electric boogalooAny questions regarding battle mechanics should be asked in the main meta thread. After sucking up two trolls, the machine begins to spin, slowly at first, then increasing in speed. From it begins to stream a cloud of small robotic bugbots - which swarm around the room in black clouds. The hum of their wings fills the air as they descend in a cloud on the remaining trolls.*with lusus all damage and targeting is applied to them rather than the kid* If you rolled a 1, you are cloaked by the metal, beeping insects. Their feet are sharp small drills, stinging and tearing at you wherever they find purchase, and they emit a burning gas that makes you feel nauseous and disoriented. Lose 5 hp. If you rolled a 2, you do your best to focus on keeping ahead of the bugs - forgetting about the machine that emitted them. It has now extended long sharp blades as it spins, and one gives you a nasty slice as it whirls past you. Lose 4 hp. If you rolled a 3, you get your back to a wall or troll and try to fend off the swarm, but the sheer numbers means some slip through, spitting a burning substance that eats at your exoskeleton and stings your eyes. Lose 3 hp. If you rolled a 4, you are grabbed by another troll and used as a living shield. By the time you've struggled free, you've been bit, spat at, and had to break another troll's nose to get free. Lose 2 hp. If you rolled a 5, ducking a swarm of bugbots you trip and fall heavily on the floor, feeling your nose crack as you hit the ground. Ow! Lose 1 hp. If you rolled a 6, you keep moving, managing to stay ahead of the machine and its bugbots, and keep it from being able to properly target you. Do not lose any hp. Half hour options:Fight! Teens can choose to attack the boss once every half hour, as normal. But wow this thing is scary, scary strong. [Take half the damage you dealt to the boss in return as it automatically counterattacks.] Maybe it would be better to try and... Flee! Teens and kids can attempt to guess the passcodes for the doors. They seem to be on high security alert, with the passcodes resetting every few minutes. If one troll can concentrate on cycling through all the numbers available [Roll 2d6 and try and mach the number generated in the boss's round post.], while another defends them from danger [Take the highest individual dice roll as damage, ie: results are 3,5 take 5 damage.], they might have a chance of getting out alive [The two trolls can escape through the door before it slams shut again. if they have any lusus with them it is not fast enough and is left behind quote the mule on a successful escape.]. Reaching 0hp:If at any time during the fight or during flee attempts your troll or kid's lusus reaches 0 hp, please quote the mule, do not roleplay past the moment they hit 0, and wait for a response. New round will go up in ??? hours.

Forera dealt 0 damage. Letting Vulpin take the reigns of this little operation, Forera quickly pushed Sly away from a hit, instead getting hit herself, feeling terribly exhausted all of a sudden-- ********, she wasn't feeling too good, s**t-- "A-Anything Vulpin? Anything at all?!" She asked, a little desperate, body feeling like ********, the machine was moving again-- Oh s**t, bugs?! Forera didn't mind them, but in the state she was in... No, no, s**t! She quickly crawled behind a wall, spitting out curses fouler than a sailors, tone seeping anger as she clutched her side and groaned. Damnit, damnit damnit she wasn't going to go down, not without a fight, not with--
The bugs had arrived, hitting her directly, the pain suddenly too much to bear. Forera slumped onto the floor, a mess of blood, sweat, and the burning substance that offed her. This was just great... HP: (from defending) 7 - 6 = 1 hp (from robot attack) 1 - 3 = -2 hp Hivestuck Forera's down, annnndd out!

((rolled only one thing woops...))
Where was she? How had they gotten so separated in the first place? Aprife supposed in the hustle and confusion of the room, it wasn't completely surprising that this had happened, but he thought for sure since splitting from Zeffer earlier that he would have been able to track their teammate down. Hide nor hair, he hadn't come across either, and he was starting to wonder if maybe he was looking in all the wrong places. What would she do, what would her train of thought be? The yellowblood found he didn't know, he couldn't know, because Akko had always been secretive and he didn't know her quite as well as he assumed Zeffer did. Cursing, he made the choice, he'd turn back and try to regroup with the blueblood. Maybe he had stumbled across her instead.
Shoving his way through the mass wave of bodies, he found more times than one that unfamiliar blood had smeared its way across his clothes. Once or twice he'd nearly been slammed straight to the ground between a few bulkier trolls. While he had the height, he certainly didn't have the weight, and that was starting to prove a bit of a disadvantage this time. At least he thought, feeling a flash of momentary relief, that he could see Zeffer's tall horns jutting up over the crowd. He was nearly past the last wall of trolls, thinning as it was, though running was made difficult with the forms of the fallen littering the floor, when he realized something was wrong.
It was Zeffer, Aprife could hear him, but despite the usual ferocity in his roar, he sounded almost tired. Though still a ways away, the yellowblood forced himself out from between a few rebels who looked torn now between fight and flight, and that's when he saw. Zeffer was falling, he was on his knees, and though he looked as if he were trying to make it back up, it was a struggle. That much was obvious, even from this distance. A fear stung in Aprife's gut as he remembered that other blueblood he'd seen, the completely unfamiliar one, being swallowed whole by the machine they were trying to best. What if that happened to Zeffer? What if he lost him, his friend, his... Being separated had never been much of a worry before, but something about this felt final and it stuck in his stomach like a heavy stone. Suddenly things were serious, this was serious, and he felt charged with adrenaline as he tried to break away from the line.
"Zeffer!!" he was screaming, running, or trying, but a swarm of metallic insects swooped down on him before he could get very far. Things were becoming less clear, the room was spinning, and it was difficult to find the fortitude to put his foot down in the right direction. Yet, he did it, he fought against the horrible stinging and the nausea because he had to get to Zeffer, had to make sure he was alright, had to ensure that all their foolish lack of information didn't get them all killed. Even if there was nothing he could really do, he had to try.
Waving his arms, he was able to smack away some of the bugbots, enough that he could run again, even if it was wobbly. Through his hazy vision he could see the back of someone familiar. Akko? Akko, it was Akko, she would help Zeffer too, right? She would. Wouldn't she? His throat was burning.
"Akko, help Zeffer! Please! Akko!"

"FORERA!" Vulpin screamed as another one of his teammates was dragged away. "What the ******** did I tell you?! You're not allowed to die!" ********. This was bad. His team was getting picked apart one by one, and if he didn't act soon he would lose Sly, too.
He looked around for anything that could help, or anyone that could be useful. He scanned the room carefully.
As carefully as you could pick someone at random.

"Hey, you! Girl with the hair!" Vulpin shouted. Yes, he thought, very descriptive. Well, he would have called her out by her blood, but quite frankly he was confused on that topic. Wearing a teal sash, but had hints of pinkblood on her? Whatever. Vulpin could care less about her blood color. "Cover me while I try to get this thing open!" He shouted again, hoping the troll would get the message.

hp: 14/20 - 3 = 11/20 damage dealt: 5 (+1) = 6
The throbbing pain in Byakko's temple had not receded even in the slightest since awakening, and neither had the dizziness that accompanied it. The pandemonium playing out around her was spinning on an ever shifting axis, and she felt the overwhelming need to vomit. Swallowing hard, she merely gripped her weapon tighter and charged off, trailing Zeffer. They needed to find Aprife, they needed to turn the thing off, they needed to escape. What could they realistically even do at this point? Finding Aprife seemed at least plausible, and the two had split up to look for her in the first place. She grimaced, a pang of guilt shooting through her gut.
Her geta slapped rhythmically on the tiled floor in time with labored panting as Akko sprinted behind the blueblood, still reeling from his acceptance. Had she taken underestimated his character to such a degree that what transpired mere moments ago seemed like a hazy fever dream? Would Aprife be as receptive? Akko didn't get more then a few brief moments to reflect on her personal situation before a stray beam of light from the bunker's energy canon struck the floor beside her with a sickening crack, leaving a smoldering crater in its wake. The resulting blast threw the mutant back, hard, onto her back. The force whipped the breath from her airpumps, but nonetheless she immediately staggered to her feet, head whipping around to locate Zeffer.
As Byakko took the first moment to really survey the battlefield around her, she had a sudden moment of clarity. No, no, she was going about this completely wrong. If they managed to destroy the bunker- then what? They just waltzed out? No, something else would be waiting for them. This was too carefully orchestrated to not have a failsafe. She cared for her comrades, undoubtedly, but there were others in peril. Others, who ultimately, were here because of her. The situation seemed helpless for the majority, but if even only one could escape...
"ZEFFER, STOP-"
Her call was too late, the blueblood was far too deep in his berserkerlike rage before she managed to spot him in the tangle of bodies. She darted forewards, opening her mouth to cry out once more.
Again, she was interrupted by a sharp bzzzt and a blinding flash of bright light from the canon. However, this time there was no accompanying blast... Blinking rapidly, her vision returned just in time to catch Zeffer collapsing to his knees.
"GET THE ******** BACK UP!"
Everything was moving in slow motion, every hair on her body was standing on end. Akko bolted towards her friend's smouldering body in a sudden burst of adrenaline- she needed to grab him and get away now. He was struggling to get up and turn around to her oh gog, but she was impossibly slow in comparison to the metal beast looming above. In an eruption of green light, bugbots and net, she watched helplessly as the tangled blood soaked body of her friend was yanked away from her outreached arm. She felt her fingertips graze damp fabric and net, a primal scream ripping from her throat as her friend was torn away; leaving her with nothing but a smear of cerulean blood on her fingers and an overwhelming sense of despair.

hp: 11/20 - 3 = 8/20
The air was still thick with the putrid stench of burning flesh. It was choking her, stinging her eyes, but she managed to lock vision with Aprife through the haze. His cries to save Zeffer were still echoing in her sponge clots, drowning out the screaming of children. She flinched.
"A-Aprife-" His name caught in her chute as she struggled for words. "I don't... I'm sorry..." There was nothing Akko could say, just like there was nothing she could have done. Maybe the taken weren't doomed; they were capturing the incapacitated, not executing... but there was no time to linger on false hope.
Her head was clearer now. They were ********, the gravity of the situation had been by no means lost on her- now it was just a matter or trying to make the most of whatever little energy and time they had left. If someone escaped, anyone, it would be worth it. And as cosmically naive as it sounded, if they could signal the other forces for help... They were probably damned either way, but the had nothing to lose at this point.
"Aprife, listen." She turned to the yellowblood, eyes narrowing. It was fight or flight time, and the latter was looking like their best bet. "We're wasting our efforts on the machine. We need to focus on getting out." Akko jerked her head in the direction of a straggler group of trolls fiddling with passcodes while simultaneously defending against the onslaught. "Getting anyone out." It didn't seem favourable that anyone would be escaping with their lives tonight, but she'd take any small victory. Byakko didn't have the strength to word it quite so bluntly as she once might have, but the underlying message was fairly clear.
Shouting from a small lowblood for assistance finally caught her attention- girl with the hair? what?- and she exchanged glances with Aprife. "We have to at least try." She turned to sprint over to Vulpin, hoping that Aprife was in agreement.
"I've got your back!" Akko didn't have much stamina left, but whatever little she did have left she'd use defending the orangeblood and anyone else willing to take a gamble on the doors. Lunging, she swung her kanabÅ at a swarm of spitting bugbots, kicking wildly at a lone diver. Their acid sizzled at her flesh, and she hissed along with it. She had his back, sure, but she couldn't promise to last very long.

This was an incredibly frustrating task for Vulpin. Every time he anticipated that he had the correct answer, the door buzzed angrily and proved him wrong. He was so sure he almost had it that time. But the door was relentless.
He wouldn't give up, though. Just because Lunear and Forera had, didn't mean that he would. He was stronger than them. Maybe it was because he was trained to hunt, maybe it was in his blood. Maybe he was just better than them. Regardless, Vulpin pushed forward, determined to get out alive.
He turned for a moment to watch the girl defending him. She wasn't looking too good, either. In fact, it looked like she was about to fall over any second. "Hey, keep it together!" Vulpin yelled to the girl. He supposed it was meant to be a way to cheer her on, but it probably didn't come out that way. Turning away, he sneered. So far the rebels weren't doing much to impress him. Where was Anguis? Vulpin trusted that kid more than these other bozos, especially when he knew the other kid had two lusii with him.

Since Zeffer had not seen any of the other rebels being captured (he'd been far too distracted with the fight), the whole thing came as a nasty surprise for him. He had expected to black out on the floor, to be dragged back, or trampled perhaps, but...not this. As the net closed around him, he sucked in a sharp breath, and he could feel himself freezing up inside. This wasn't happening...it couldn't. The scream that tore from his throat was nothing less than blood-curdling, filled with rage and fear. He didn't want to get caught.
"APRIFE!! AKKO!!!" He howled, flailing uselessly against the net, clawing and biting and doing everything he could to get free. The tears had already begun to pour from his eyes, and he wailed like a desperate child as he reached through the mesh as he was swiftly dragged back towards the machine. The last thing they would hear would be his wrathful shrieking and an apology that was clipped off as he was swallowed by the darkness.
