Turning back to her box, Indu gingerly stuck her hands into thin air again. There was another metallic response, and she bit her lip. Another possiblity. Was it less intimidating than her first choice? Groping around a bit, she picked up the two invisible minis and shook them gently, listening to the sounds. Jingle, or jangle. Which was better? Possibly neither. Possibly this entire thing was so stupid her brain couldn't begin to wrap around it. She suspected the latter.

Reaching in one last time, she counted one, two, three, four -- five limbs. Hastily bringing her hand back, she shoved the lid back on the box. Nope. That one wasn't the winner. She'd take the first mini that she had picked out. "Jingle" it was. After a few moments of poking it about, she gave a guess as to the species and wrote it down for later. Luck dragon, question mark question mark question mark, would be the first part of her dish.

Squinting in horror at what she was being asked to do, Indu began to massacre the everloving s**t out of the poor petpet. She had no idea how well she was doing, or even if she was removing the right bits because, in case this was not stated clearly enough, she was working with something that was entirely invisible. Bits of invisible something fell on the floor, entirely unnoticed by everyone.

Spices. Yes, spices would help to cover up whatever was going on on her table. Indu muttered this to herself like a mantra as she grabbed three bottles of apparently nothing off the rack and hurried back to her station. The first taste sent her reeling to the tap for water. Where was this stuff last round when the guest had ordered something with kick?? Dabbing at her eyes, she tried the second and gagged. No oh noooo - what was this?? After a long few minutes of sucking down water to remove the flavour, she tentatively tried the third. Well one out of three wasn't bad was it? She sighed and drummed her fingers on the edge of the table. It wasn't bad, it was horrible.

Throwing her ingredients in a pan and flipping it around with bad tempered jerks for ten minutes or so, she upturned the pan over on the plate with no fanfare at all. Indu was beyond done with this competition. Beyond. Done. Marching up to the front, she slid the plate in front of the judges and gave them one last, bright smile. "Here's my plate! It represents exactly what you've taught us in terms of cooking skill, confidence, and how to be polite to people who are working their hardest and don't deserve to be called rude names or treated like garbage! I call it Gorgon a la Hyde! It's pretty much both of you expressed through pure flavour."

Go ahead and take a nice big bite, her eyes said. I dare you.

The competition was getting to the goo-girl. Her normally upbeat as monstrously possible attitude was a low simmer at the moment and she frowned at the chefs. Invisible food was stupid. On one hand she would literally have no idea what she was doing, but the neither would the judges. She just had to act like she did. Sucre put on her game face and on the count of three, or really the go, as the count down was non-existent, she reached into her box.

It was pleasantly fluffy, poor thing....but Sucre had to win so she attempted to identify the creature....invisible...and fluffy..maybe a Foxfox.

Sucre noted the Foxfox and attempted to figure out what else was available. She had removed her gloves this round, she needed to be able to feel the food and they would have gotten in the way. This time when she reached into her box she felt soft fluff again! What did she get all the fluffy ones, all that fur would be a pain. She took a little time to compare it to the first fur and decided they were different, this one must be a Boafox Invisible, as the tail seemed to be longer.

The sudden wetness she felt caused her to almost pull her hand right back out of the box. Sucre needed to win, and so she touched it again. Not just wet, like a thick wet, like spit.....oh

She figured it was an Invisible Dog, lots of drool, but maybe easier to prepare.....

Sucre carefully wound the tail around her arm and attempted to find the minipet's ears and obviously from there it's head. It fought her, wriggling and biting, but once she had located the head Sucre attempted to chop it in one go. It seemed to work as the squirming ended. She sighed and attempted to prep the meat, which didn't go as smoothly. It was hard to feel what you were doing and she wasn't sure she had actually removed all the skin and fur, but she couldn't tell and the judges sure as Jack couldn't tell either, so she moved on, plopping the meat onto an unused pan so she'd remember where it was.

With her meat prepped an in a pan for easy location, the goo-girl attempted to grab some spices. The first bottle tasted salty, just salt, that was it. She made a sour faced and grabbed another. Salt was totally doable.

Salty again, actually it tasted pretty much the same, so she had salt....

The third try was a thick substance, but melted on her finger, like butter maybe. Looks like this is one dish she couldn't sweeten up. Sucre placed each spice next to a cooking utensil, memorized what each spice correlated with. Her mother had called her after she saw her on the skelevision and told her to "stop being so dramatic" and that she loved her and all the gooey stuff, but it was probably good advice right now.

Sucre ran to her oven, turned up the heat, we are talking deep levels of hell here and in a saucepan added a bit of her salty salt and maybe butter and melted it. She grabbed some thick cuts of meat and coated it in mix. She would normally have gone for one large cut of meat and let it sit in the salt a couple hours, but time was something she didn't have, so she hoped smaller cuts would absorb the salt quicker.

Next she grabbed a deep baking pan and lined it with one of her bottles of salt and used the other to crust the meat with. Finally she let it sit out before sticking it into the oven. She figured the high temp should almost sear the outside while leaving the middle medium-rare and possibly a flaky salty skin.

Luckily Sucre stuck to large portions. The meat was easy to find and she plucked them out with tongs and plated them in what she thought was pleasing. She scooped up some juice best she could and added that too. She probably got that all over her station too but you couldn't be sure, and that was the beauty of it.

Taking a moment to gather herself and fix her hair before she had to present her plate, she double checked the presentation. It looked...good, and a quick rim wipe seemed unhindered by any actual food. She hadn't plated that bad.

With a confident breath Sucre presented her dish, "I hope you enjoy the simplicity of my Salt Seared Boafox. You should be able to enjoy the favors of the meat itself. It'll be easy to eat too!" She added and beamed up at them.

Invisible. Well, there was something to be said about trying to throw Fear at the ingredients to try to outline them, but that wouldn't change the taste, and he couldn't actually use that for the judges. But what Soren was doing was grinning, or, more accurately, the corners of his mouth were twitching upwards. It didn't matter what his dish looked like. And he had lots of experience fumbling around in the dark. Plus, some of his fondest memories were while he was blindfolded. Here he could actually see his hands, they were in good shape.

Feeling around in the box he felt something with...apparently an extra limb. Whatever it was...good for it. Obviously male, and it was a bit sad that the creature's life was going to come to an end so soon. Unless he found something else of course.

This sounded hard to the ghost boil, not because things were invisible, but because he knew very little about minipets. He knew so very few of them and it liable to be something he had no idea what of. His first dip into the box had him feeling something covered in saliva. Which prompted a shriek of disgust and a quick retrieval of his hand.
