 Astral Eva's Future."Looks can be deceiving hun" Eva frowned as she still refused, hiding the baby from Despair's sight. "What? No, he's just a little baby. You can't possibly take care of him just now, it hasn't even reached 2 years."She replied looking dead serious on it. "Look, there's no way you-..."Eva suddenly froze where she stood, one could tell that time hasn't stopped since the baby girl was still breathing and Atticus was still making baby sounds behind Eva. If Despair was to move right behind him, he may have noticed the golden glow in Astral's eyes. If not, that wouldn't matter much. "Take the boy, she'll just keep making drama over it."Astral said, apparently being the one behind Eva's frozen state. ((OoC: ))

Suddenly, Eva seemed to have frozen in place, looking around, Despair found that she was the only that froze, as everything else remained the same. Glancing back at Astral, Despair noticed the golden glow coming from her eyes. She must have been the one behind all of this. Hearing her, Despair simply nodded and walked towards the Devil Machine, leaning down to pick up Atticus. However, as he did this, Despair would stop as his hand made contact with Atticus' small, weak, little fingers. At that instance, Despair would be forced to recall all the memories and experiences he had shared with Atticus. Stepping back, Despair found himself overcome with emotions, that he had not experienced in centuries, not since his first love. Despair, being the demon that he is, could not handle such feelings, so he stepped away from the baby, looking back at Astral. "I don't think it would be wise to take him, not yet." he stated. To Astral, it would seem that, something had happened to Despair. that caused him to change his mind. ═ ════ ══ ═══ ══ ═══ ══ ════ ══ ═══ ══════

Astral Eva's Future."Looks can be deceiving hun" At the sudden development of events, the look on Astral was priceless. "Not, wise?"Clearly something had happened to Despair to change his mind that suddenly. Stepping closer, between the brothers to be exact, she would stare at Despair with that confused gaze. "What is it?"She was trying to understand the demon but she couldn't as she was unable to read minds. All she could sense was that something in him changed. Switching views between the demon and the baby it was obvious that Atticus was somehow involved. Picking the baby, she proceeded to inspect him. From head to toe, there wasn't a single spell or trap on him that could explain Despair's behavior. Carrying Atticus in a different set of positiongs but still unable to understand the demon's situation. "Are you feeling alright? You know she's going to be overly attached to Atticus the more time she spends with him."((OoC: ))

Hearing her question, Despair sighed, clearly he didn't want to answer her question. "I'm feeling just fine, there's nothing wrong. I just don't think I can handle him right now." Despair stated, before shrugging to her last statement. "Doesn't matter if she gets attached. I will simply take him from her. Astral Eva's Future."Looks can be deceiving hun" Astral would have Atticus against her, patting his back as she expected the demon's answer. Unconsciously showing her mother like behavior. However, it wasn't until Despair gave his answer regarding Eva being attached to Atticus that Astral showed actual discomfort towards Despair. A frown would eventually lead to an unexpected fluster. "That would be an embarrassing moment I would rather not have in my mind."However, since she knew she couldn't change the demon's mind, Astral sighed. "Fine!"She stated, walking back to Eva handle Atticus back. With that she would take her leave from the room, her face growing red with each second she lasted inside it. After a few seconds Eva would continue from where she was left off. "-you are taking Atticus away from me."Stated Eva as she set her sight on Despair before holding onto Atticus in a protective manner. Completely unaware of the events unfolded while her absent mind and body were on stasis. The baby on the other hand didn't seem to mind much. After all he got to take a tour by different arms and be spoiled which kept him entertained. The baby girl, however would soon get hungry and would eventually ask for it while crying. "Oh look of what you've done. You made her cry, I hope you are happy with it ¬¬"((OoC: ))

So, it comes as no discomfort to me, to tear away Atticus from Eva, despite her growing attached." Despair stated as Astral then left the room. At that time, Eva would seemingly unfreeze, completing the sentence she had started earlier. Glancing down at her, Despair didn't seem to show an ounce of compassion towards her. Hearing baby Zoey cry, Despair briefly glanced at her. "Then you should probably go and tend to her." he added before turning away and heading towards the door. Astral Eva's Future."Looks can be deceiving hun" "I would if I didn't had you staring"Eva glared at the demon who would eventually leave. Causing Eva to calm down and place her attention back to Atticus which she greeted with a kiss in his cheek. "There there, mommy won't let that evil person take you away from her."She told Atticus as she played a little with him while heading for the bed in which Zoey awaited. Placing the baby over the couch, she would create a small set of toys, each being a puzzle with Magic calculation. Secretly showing Atticus how to unlock magic seals through simple puzzles. Picking Zoey up, she was preparing herself to feed the baby while still keeping an eye on Atticus. "Can you solve those puzzles for mommy? I know you are a smart boy."She added, while Zoey eventually cease her crying, clinging onto Eva as she helped herself. Back in the living room, Astral was helping herself to some tea. Trying to calm her temper down while the fluster didn't seem to fade away.

No big deal."She replied with just a little hint of sarcasm. Taking a sip from her cup, while the fluster in her face diminished just a bit. As always, straightforward. Her golden eyes would lay upon Despair's for a brief instant. As if trying to examine him. "Why don't you tell me what's the matter with you now? Just a second ago you were so adamant about taking care of Atticus but you stepped back in the last second. You hesitated. Like you were a completely different person."Said Astral as she stated her observation. OoC: fufufu. And now Despair is weak against Baby Atticus's happy memory powers XD

He knew full well why he changed his mind at the last second, but he'd rather keep it to himself. Sighing, he wondered whether or not it would be worth mentioning to her. With one last sigh, Despair would reveal his reasoning. "Fine, the truth is that as soon as I touched Atticus' fingers, I became filled with memories. Memories of our time together and such. While, I did not hate reliving those memories, they were just too....pure, for me. I could not handle all those happy and uplifting memories. I am, after all, a demon." he told her. "If I remained with him, I knew that my powers would weaken and that I would not be able to do my job. So, I decided to let Eva take care of him until I am ready. Strong souls roaming in pursue of a challenger. Even you with all your strength cannot afford to take all of them out."She stated calmly, sipping some of her tea to ease her mood. "... Despair had a really habit of underestimating his opponents, though could anyone blame him? He is quite possibly one of the strongest beings in this dimension, aside from those such as Noira. As such, Despair has never once used 100% of his powers, at the max, he's been pushed to use about 40, if that. "Right now, I'd say that I'm at a little over half of my true power, thanks to that little life draining thing. If you wish to undergo any of the 4 towers I'll gladly enlist you into it. But be wary that They won't hold back on you. And not even someone as powerful as you can escape the Landlord's authority.
