He smiled a little. "Why thank you, doctor. You've been hanging around AK too much, though; kindness is a little too infectious." There we go, bad joke out of the way; the night could truly begin.
He leaned against the counter rather than sat down, arms crossed as Leslie ordered and America approached. "Oh god, don't start. Like I said, not sticking around," Jack replied, snickering as assgrabbing was had. "Just wanted to see how things were going and then head off to do my own thing." It was time to fire off some texts to see if he'd get joined.

Text to AK: If you keep your sassiness to a minimum you can approach me at the bar. I still have to see your costume anyway so make sure you do a damn good job on it. There's a contest going on so.
He paused, then fired off one more anyway.

"AMERICA." Leslie whirled around, perpetually scandalized at her eternal game of grabass. "For the love of christ, you need to quit doing that, it's not like it's public property or something. What's the prize?"
Alcohol acquired -- from someone either in costume, or a golem, because those wings were huge?-- Leslie slid Jack's drink to him with a sneer, ponying up the cash. "Don't get used to it," he bitched. "I said one round. And besides, drinking in your room alone doesn't count as doing your own thing, just being a sad sack of s**t."
Text to Jackie Boy: And a Merry ******** Birthday to you. How long will you be there? I might have a few minutes to spare.

Clutching America's giant feathered hat like a security blanket, Taym watched her bounce away, first to apprehend a suspect Lifer and then to, predictably, go and pinch Leslie's a**. In a moment of spite he considered pinching Cee's, or at least Peyton's, but he thought better of it and attempted to go about remembering how to fake it without the help of alcohol or something stronger, stepping aside for a stranger in a witch hat and then drifting over to Noah and Peyton.
"Andersen," he acknowledged, idly twirling the hat. And then: "What the hell are you supposed to be?" to Peyton.

Eventually Chel showed up, tiny nurse pleasantly on her arm. The girl was rather sparkling at everything at everything in sight, so Chel just calmly led her through the crowd.
The first thing Chel wanted was alcohol.
A lot of alcohol.
She bought one too many drinks, handing over as many as Abbi wanted. All she was buying at the moment was groceries, and Chris was pitching in so she had a surprising amount of money. Alcohol seemed like a valuable thing to spend that on.
Most likely she would puke it back up after a few hours, but at least it wasn't instantaneous anymore. She'd take any sort of punishment for the aid in helping her make it through the night with Jack and Hanna. She assumed Abbi would understand.

"Stay around and have some fun, Jack, there's more to life than being really, really ridiculously good looking." America made a face and then preened a little because she though she was ******** hilarious.
Messing with Leslie's hair, she soaked up the scandalized tones and said, "Oh does that mean it's gone private? Someone's taken out a lease on your cutie patootie?" She moved as if to pinch him again. "I don't know what the prize is, probably something like free drinks the rest of the year or something."
Noticing someone moving to take Tubadiah out of his carrier, sexy pirate America ran off to sternly supervise.

Text to Leslie I AM HERE I AM HERE HELLO O7O/// WHERE R U
To say that Abbi, in her revealing, yet somehow cute, nurse costume was sparkling at everything was at once true and untrue. Mostly untrue because she was practically vomiting excitement. So the heels were taking some getting used to, but she was happy with her matching red cross thigh highs and the exceptionally flattering make up so generously applied by Chel, she was more than content. The message from Jack was ignored in favor of taking a shot from her friend and knocking back a second, just for fun. "Happy Halloween, if it means more drinking!" She cheered, and swung around to survey the crowd.

Jack merely rolled his eyes. Not like he hadn't heard that line before."What, two months' worth of booze for free? That's not....actually nah, I'd take that, nevermind."
He saw her off with a raise of his glass, offer to clink it against Leslie's with a look that said yeah yeah I got it, and then sipped his whiskey, texting Finn with one hand.

Text to d**k Finnicky: Probably twenty minutes or so, not that long. Look for the Zoolander with a glass of whiskey.
"Oh you stupid pile of limp dicks in a bedsheet," he said airily to Leslie, "I'm not going back to my room alone. Hanna should be getting off soon--and then, we'll be getting it on." He had no basis for this, of course, beyond willpower to make it so.
So naturally this was when Abbi and Chel arrived.
He watched them arrive and was disgruntled when Abbi led them to the bar but not towards him. It wasn't like he was hard to miss either. He opened his mouth to call out to them but stopped when he noticed two figures approaching the pair.
----
"Uh..." Dawson was peering intently at them, confused and curious and somewhat distracted. He knew that was Abbi, but damn. Beside him Syn purred a chuckle and nudged him forward as she stepped with him.
"Greetings, and a Happy Halloween to you, ghoulies," the lioness said. The bats dangling from her horns twirled as she looked between them. "Is it possible to share in your drinks?"
Dawson made a face and pushed his Mystery Inc. hat up. "I said it wasn't gonna be a good idear," he mumbled, as sheepish as a boy getting introduced to cute girls by his mother. "But, uh, um...hi." That was a good start. "Y'look great, Abbi. Uh, n' yer friend too!" he added quickly, tipping his cap to Chel politely.

Chel looked up from her drink long enough to give Dawson a two-fingered salute. She wasn't really sure what she was doing at this party, but maybe talking with this stranger could at least take her mind off it for a while. She'd forgotten how pleasant anonymity could be.
The lioness certainly interested her, but now wasn't the time for her studies. "For him? Yeah, for you? No. You try n' drink somethin' and it'll fry the golem." Chel was awfully cheerful tonight. She at least gave Dawson a smile. He was both handsome (Chel did like bigger types- but then, she liked any type that was coming to chat her up at a bar) and adorable (the costume was something from her childhood and she appreciated the familiarity).
"Name's Chel. Haven't had the pleasure, but believe me, it is one." She nodded up the golem as well. "Yer lookin' fine as hell too." Love for everyone. She noted that Dawson was skittish, and Chel knew that was a sign of interest. Especially when he was so keenly checking Abbi out, yes he saw you. Chel recalled her number one job tonight was to be Abbi's wingman, and she intended to fulfill it before she inevitably blacked out. The brown-haired hunter gave Abbi a little nudge in the right direction. "Don't she look darlin' in that outfit? Fits her real nice I think."

As much as it pained Heidi to cover up her beautiful rainbow hair, it was necessary. Super Sailor Moon didn't have rainbow hair. But it would be nice if she did! Stopping at the door a moment, Heidi gave herself a quick check over before deeming herself appropriate and stepped into her first bar ever. And..holy cow there were a lot of people here. This was going to be so fun! Clapping excitedly, Heidi stepped further into the bar while looking all around, though she stopped short when a pirate ran pa--oh it was America!
"Hey Amer--" Oh. Yes, go do the thing. Besides, there were a ton of other people here anyway. This was going to be so fun!

Ferros got a pleased smile of greeting aswell as a fond little kiss on his steely face. "Glad you came." Tracey said before in typically restless Tracey fashion the fallen angel was off again, bouncing to the floor and scooting off with his tray of shots.
Peyton and Noah's shots were re-furnished with a smile. "I am so sorry for all the horrid things William says." the angel said sweetly before heading off all over again.
Next stop was Leslie who had another shot placed neatly next to him. "Time for your shots Herr Doktor." he said, looking as if he found something slightly amusing.
Jack too was handed or had a free shot placed next to him. He recognized the costume, William had made him watch that movie a few times though he hadn't really understood the overarching point. "That costume is so hot right now." he said with a grin.
Next up was Taym, he got his own free shot foist upon him. "One of the actually intelligent people around here." the angel muttered before he was off again.
Chel got a few shots to supplement her bad life choices "Happy Halloween!"
Abbi too was supplied with a shot of her own by a diminutive dalmatian before Tracey headed over to Heidi. "You look gorgeous as well!" he said enthusiastically. "Some alcohol?"
All of this accomplished he made his way over to America, putting his free hand on his hip sassily. "Need a hand with anything?" he asked.

Rep hadn't brought Massacre, he didn't like leaving the little cow all on his own when the place was full of people, he liked crowds, his master did not. Rep just helped supply the people at the bar with drinks while being (for him) exceedingly polite and amiable. The place was busy and that was something that always delighted the redhead even if he'd never ******** admit it.
"Hey Bob, mix me up something Blue." he gave Harrison a smirking nod. "And the same for that ******** in the damn fine suit over there too." Jordan got a gesture with his thumb.

America was just about to put Tubadiah back in his carrier when Tracey approached, carefully writing down the amount of time he'd been out on a sticky note. Beaming at the fallen angel, she looked around at the loitering couples and hunched figures at the bar and then back at Tracey with a grin, "I think this party could use some dancing. You think folks are buzzed enough to get out on the floor?"

Text to Jackie Boy: I'll be there in a few. Would you like me to bring you an Orange Mocha Frappuccino?
It was probably lucky that Finn had already been taking a short infirmary break at the time that his text from Jack was received. It was also probably quite lucky that he already had gotten himself a costume in anticipation of a party of some kind happening, the last time he had been on leave. He hadn't actually needed much, however, just a realistic looking blonde wig and a fake, plastic katana.
Unfortunately, he was going to have to shave for this. And probably put on mascara too (don't ask him why he had that).
Shortly after the text was sent, Elle Driver aka California Mountain Snake arrived on the scene. Finn had never actually been to the islands bar before, but now seemed like as good a time as any, even if he was only going to be there for a few minutes...or probably only as long as Jack was staying. Tucked under his arm, a small, wrapped box, containing a small gift for the green giant, though it was more of a gag and his actual gift was back in Finn's room.
It didn't take him long to find who he was looking for, though he managed to spot both Abbi and Chel first, both of whom received a cold smile and a wave, before he headed over to the part of the bar that his best friend was occupying.
"Happy Birthday, ********." He shoved the gift into Jack's general direction.
"Shot of whiskey, please." He asked of whoever...or whatever...was tending the bar.
If the other man was looking close enough, he would have noticed Finn's eyes were red, fatigued, and that despite his typical cheery attitude, he actually appeared slightly more strained than usual.
"For all...ah." He glanced over at Leslie. "Three of us, I guess."
Because why not.

Nora chose to go as a witch: not just any kind, but of course a more old fashioned kind. It seemed appropriate given that she was coming over with the sweets she and the apron brigade had worked on. With smokey make up, a painted mole by her mouth, and a black apron that read THE WITCH IS IN THE KITCH by a cauldron, she made her way to The Red Bull with her goodies.
"I come bearing sweets, my loves," she said in mystical tones as she entered, the back of her costume flowing out behind her for good measure. "Cupcakes and Rice Krispies, peaches and cake, these are the things of which you may take~" She stacked them on a nearby flat surface and separated the tin foiled and container tower in her arms. Canned peaches were all she could get her hands on in the time allotted, not nearly as good as fresh fruit.
