Shopping Leslie's eyes kind of glazed over as she explained a bunch of tests he didn't care about. The saleslady returned with Shu, giving him forms to fill out. He began writing his name and information down, and checked the box that said he wasn't using any insurance. All cash. All his poor, poor cash... He offered it back to the lady, casting a glance at Shu. "How long does this s**t take, huh?"

Red Eye ":Yeah, cartons of em." He nodded. "Sticky fingers means being outta someone's view, not in their line of sight, and not acting suspicious as ********. Helps if you've got a partner in crime, though." He grinned. "Jack and I did some in New York. We had to hide up on a fire escape after the assholes came after us."

Shu beamed at Leslie, the cash hoarding dragon (?), "Depends on the tests, normally not more than thirty minutes. It's easy." In her place, eye examination is free of charge, so she stares curiously at the saleslady and the boy. Hmm, interesting.
The young saleslady had her eyes traveled between the two, snickering. She might be guessing of their relationship behind Leslie and Shu, that was some addition to her boring job. Yet, she wasn't showing any of that masked by her professional smile.

Red Eye Shu's eyes rolled left and right with a fixed smile. Er...Is he teaching me how to steal? < Sounds like it is.> ........What should I react? <....How do I know!> I never talk to someone about that before....
Think of it on the good side, stealthiness might require for some missions, so how knows if it would be useful. "That sounds risky but exciting, did you get caught doing it before?"

"If you say so," he muttered, but Shu was right: the tests were easy and painless, even if he was being creepily watched. Pointing at circles with dots in them (proof he wasn't colourblind, apparently), holding a black giant spoon over one eye, following a finger with the other. Read "The Big E" and the rows below it.
The verdict was that he just needed them for reading, but that he should remember to, lest they get worse.
"Ugh," he said, mournfully handing over the cash for the bill of the exam and the prescription. "I have to come back in two weeks for a pickup? Lame."

Red Eye "Sometimes, yeah. Or takin' s**t from stores. But I always managed to get away. Usually. Got reprimanded, but never had to go to juvie."

Shopping Outside, Shu fiddled with her phone while talking to the saleslady, it all started when the smooth-faced lady initiated the conversation by commenting on the snapshot she took for Leslie. The Asian girl was not the type that alarmed by strangers, Shu delightedly replied with beam and chatted with her. Since it wasn't the peak hours, there were only them in the shop. Feeling the sprightliness and how easy-going the customer was, the nosy saleslady mustered up courage to ask of their relationship, her guesses - cracked the girl up. When the smart lady peeked the appearance of Leslie, she made a step backward and wore her professional mask again. After all, it was still her working hours. "Do you expect they magically finish the lenses? If they have a factory site behind the shop, they might give you your glasses after a few hours, but I don't think it's the case for this shop." She gave a soft, silvery laughter.

Red Eye < This lucky grumpy seed.> "You're so adventurous, Leslie. Won't your parents worry about you?" She simply asked that. Her family was a strict one, a very strict one that forbade the petite girl from doing anything wrong.

Shopping "The ******** you laughin' at, huh?" Leslie rubbed at his eyes. They were dilated-- he'd need to wear some shades. "I figured they just sorta popped them in, I dunno." He shrugged. "I can burn a day and come get em. And eat mall food." His stomach rumbled in perfect timing.

Red Eye Leslie took a second to look at Shu, his lips pursing. "Nah. Dad was doped to high ******** heaven, and mom had her hands full. She was pretty tired of us two years in, and there's five of us assholes."

Shopping "Nothing." Shu replied shortly. "Mall food? Do you mean food court in mall? -" The rumbling sound made the girl halted, she stared at where it came from and had a "oh I see" expression. The girl spared the embarrassment by suggesting they went to eat, "It's almost noon, I'm hungry. I haven't tried - mall food for a while, I miss Chinese, do you wanna go and eat together?"

Red Eye Shu gave the boy a gentle pat on his back, the one when you coddle kids to bed. "I've many siblings also, two brothers and two sisters. Both my parents are alive, but they were too busy to take care of me anyway. In the family, sons are more important....You had a tough childhood." Not a question, but a matter of fact she said as she looked into his eyes.

LunchIt was truly impressive to see how much food Leslie could put away. And how fast. He ate like he was starving.

Red EyeLeslie flinched, tensing up in his shoulders. "Yeah, well. You too or whatever, even if that's kind of how it should be. Natural order and s**t." He shrugged. "We survived, though, and now we're out and can do whatever the ******** we want."

Lunch".....Leslie, did you not eating breakfast?" Shu had brothers, but neither of them ate like the boy in front of her. The petite girl only started a few spoons of her fried rice, while the boy already finished two-third of his plate. She stared at his plate while holding the spoon with, "You can't taste how the food is like if you eat like that." The fried rice isn't as great as she had at her own place, but not bad at all. "What did you order?"
