Thank you so much for fixing Heralds of Chaos! I did make a request/suggestion last ATS for it that the assets servers for HoC, zOMG and MoGa (Monster Galaxy) are to be moved and merged to one unified server, phasing out and removing the non-working server links that makes the game unplayable or just incomplete (like the sounds/music not playing because of broken assets links).
(Red links shown on the right side of the image are dead asset links that still use the obsolete edgecast.cdn server. Moving it all to a new working server might fix the problem?)
Also, will the Essence to Gold conversion be fixed to current Gold/Platinum rates? They are broken right now and giving 1 platinum. The rate should be like, if the image shows 10 gold per 1 Essence, it should be 10 Platinum per Essence, while in Gold can be 100 million Gold per Essence. It should draw people to playing the game just for the extra money.
Also, last ATS, it was said that HoC isn't supported on the main site, but I do wonder what this is. So is it possible to bring it back again in the Games Section? Just asking though! Thanks! heart

As for support, HoC is also a game built on Flash, and unlike zOMG I don't have the right tools to make changes within the game, that's why we are hesitant to feature the game as we won't be able to fix any bugs related to it.

Will there be anymore Pop Square Live Streams? The reason I ask is because the forum is still in the hot topics. I enjoyed some of them and I like it whenever I see videos with the staff members.
Sorry as budget tightened we no longer have Pop Square live streams. We will be removing the forum from Hot Topics soon. That team was on another project, too bad we couldn't make it work.

Lanzer, would you ever consider updating and improving the invite friends feature? As a grad student in apparel, merchandising, textile, and design, I have been learning much about social media.
In particular, word of mouth and friends inviting other members are some of the most important and successful aspects to growing a website.
Help us all by letting us help you! This would help decrease strain among a small amount of members to buy Gcash. Profits can expand and be spread out more with increased, new users.
Here is a proposed concept I drew for inspiration

Why would a better referral program be good for Gaia? -Lifts some of the burden off the admins by allowing users to recruit more members. -By having the ability to refer friends (not just through email), Gaia's user database could increase. -An increased database puts less strain on current members (hopefully less strenuous advertising, less emphasis on encouraging a small amount of members to buy large amounts of Gaia cash, more revenue spread throughout more users, etc). -A better referral program ultimately continues to spread Gaia's reach onto other forms of social media (Facebook, instagram, etc). -A better referral program would hopefully include more/better rewards (similar to the stars you gain from buying Gcash, a similar system could be beneficial and also re-release some older items or new ones. Aka a tier system). -More users means more friends! -More users means more friends to interact with on games and forums! -More users means that Gaia can hopefully gain more funds to continue improving the site and making it run better!
Thank you for the suggestion. We had been spending too much time on maintenance and not enough for a better new user experience as well as invite features. I will see about putting more effort on that front.
It might be a while until we get a show going again, as resources are tight.

Can the option to share avatars to social media(Twitter, Tumblr, facebook, instragram, pinterest, ect.) be implemented? People have been asking for that for awhile- and if the shares linked back to the site; it would help with advertising the website. Having this feature on mobile would be great too.
That's definitely something we can implement. I'll get more feedback and add it to the to-do list.

maybe there's a gaian out there who is really good at building detailed avatars and would be willing to twitch stream a live tutorial about how how they use tools like cutters to make their avatars a certain way, for instance. there's other things about gaia that could be shared in this sort of manner, too.
essentially, there are different and relatively free ways to get gaia's name out there to slowly rebuild the community, are there any plans to utilize them going forward?
(Funny enough I think I streamed ONCE for like 1 minute how I make avatars) - our recent streams definitely have been music based but we can ask around if people are interested in other streams as well!
That would also be cool, though I was moreso interested in opening it up to also having non-staff stream these kinds of things.
Oh yeah definitely, I love watching other Gaians stream Gaia! Y'all can stream whatever you want and whenever, if they wanted more visibility/support from us as well we'd be glad to help!

hello! have you folks considered connecting gaia to twitter? having even a premade "Check out my Avatar on #GaiaOnline! [link to user profile/etc]" automatic post that's clickable from the my avatar page might secure more pageviews and increase user retention :O most everybody I know is on twitter, these days!
edit: perhaps users who connect their twitter account might receive a small platinum bonus to help incentivize it?

Is this still a thing? If it isn't can we consider bringing it back? I liked seeing the staff discuss upcoming events, having site artists pop in an talk to us about items and what not. It was really nice to have.
We'd love to have more pop casts, but we currently don't have the staff to host more. Once we have more resources that will be one the things we bring back.

We definitely would like to do it, but we have a lot more time constraints + new responsibilities, so we probably won't have a popcast-esque style stream for a while. I think the closest thing we can currently offer is more of the music streaming we do + us chatting on the side. We still get to talk to you all and answer questions, but in that format, it's more at both your + our leisure.
why do statuses randomly vanish only to randomly reappear later? this has been an issue for MANY years.
I second that . I have noticed that recently . I have typed in a status and I check later and it has randomly vanished , only to reappear later . Also I wish Statuses were just a little bit longer . I struggle to get the essential declarations in .
I'll keep an eye out on this bug!

2.- Had you heard of RedBard's youtube video?
I've watched a lot of Red Bard's videos (Yaoi Paddle!) so I also got to watch the Gaia video last week. A good summary of the early days and highlights of the Goldimort era which still made me cringe when thinking about what he did.
Why isn't there a Community Ambassador to collect and report on Gaia Community news? Is this something you might add later? It would be cool to spotlight user-run events, charities, and guilds.
Also, do you plan on making an event-style landing page for the Gaia News Weekly? I learned today that you have to physically sign up to receive the news, but have seen no advertising from Gaia about it. Maybe put Cindy in the header with a link to a landing page with info about what the GNW is, directions on subscribing, and links to contribute?
We are trying a couple of different things at once but yes, the core idea is to highlight more content from fellow gaians. We will definitely be improving weekly news, but a lot of these things are being tested for the time being.
