So Iza did lose someone close to him, for whatever reason, and it caused him to shove that wall up. Adam lost something too, but... tries not to think about it. Leans back and runs a hand through his hair and blows out roughly* Guess so. Doesn't make it any less lonely. *Grins brightly* You got work to do after lunch?

Whoever gave us the room assignment clearly wasn't thinking about this. *grins* But I'm happy. It's nice to not have to deal with some uptight asswipe all night and day. *nods* Yeah, Trainee duty. Clancy, one of the guys I bunked with, almost always dealt with the pipes and cleaning bathrooms. So I would help sometimes or sometimes I'd get unlucky and be told to clean a bathroom. *blows out roughly* Plus that was my chore at home since no one wanted to do it and I was always in trouble. So they gave me that and any other nasty chore that they disliked.

That was my least favorite part of being a trainee. *looks thoughtful* If they have the trainees doing that, then they might have some other assignment for us to do. Cleaning up the training rooms or rec rooms or organizing files, books, and reports at the library. Stuff like that.

Or do we get them handed to us personally by an Agent or Elite? *smirks at the question* What WASN'T I doing? Sneaking out, going to clubs, drinking, skipping school, failing classes... Pretty much anything I could do. I got better at it, so I wasn't getting caught as much. Even then, they just kept me on toilet and other nasty chores because I could handle them.

If we're not assigned anywhere specific - and I don't think we are, today - then we can choose which task we want to do and sign off on it. As long as they know that we're doing -something- useful, I think it's fine. *glances back at Adam* Were all those things you did worth it?
