Good point. He slipped into a chair while chuckling himself at the thought. "Ah, the look on her face when we told her. You'd think we gave her a pouch full of gems." He gently rubbed his stomach. "Though I suppose they are in a sense. So what is this surprise? Is it the delicious meal cooking behind you?"

PostPosted: Sun Apr 05, 2015 1:35 pm

Sigurd smirked, "It'd be a terrible surprise since you've already seen and sampled it Love." He couldn't help it though, "Your surprise should be here soon though." He was full on grinning. Shage's mother was a grand help, having experienced this entire process a number of times in the past.

"Are you hungry Love?" He asked, wanting to make sure the gorgeous woman in front of him was well taken care of.

So his surprise wasn't here? It had to travel? Interesting. He logged that before pushing it aside. "Starving. These babies have a bigger appetite than my brother. And he's a bear." He propped his head up with an arm on the table, smiling sweetly over to the leafy fae. Sigurd was such a spectacular mate. "Did you sleep well?"

Sigurd smiled again, "You are eating for at least two there Love. That's a lot more nutrition than you're used to needing." Or at least, that's what he'd been told. Maybe that was why he'd started cooking so much extra whenever he'd started meals. Or was it so that Shage would have something to munch on between the times Sigurd could cook... Who knew.

"Amazingly so. And your gorgeous self?" He questioned, already knowing the answer.

"Ah, handsome and smart. Dangerous combination." He lightly teased, watching him carefully. Shageki loved watching him cook, or woodworking, or chopping trees....really he just liked watching Sigurd. He was very in tuned with his body, and he carried out all his objectives like second nature to him. "Good, between the normal wake ups." Going to the bathroom, being woken by a kick, or accidentally rolling into a very uncomfortable position. He had to give credit to the mothers in the world, including his own. The entirety of pregnancy was not an easy ordeal. "I had some very nice dreams."

Sigurd smiled, shifting his weight from one leg to the other. "What did you dream of, My Love?" The fae was dieing to know. He was also stalling for a little time. He'd been expecting Starry to be over any minute now, having prepared breakfast for at least the three of them.

"Was it of our little ones? Playing around in the fields?" His smile remained, unable to contain himself thinking of when their entire family could go out and spend an evening watching the stars, or catching little lightning bugs....

"Me...you...little blonde haired green eyed babies snuggled between us during story time." Shageki then chuckled a bit as s/he looked down at her chest. "I was male again. Kind of miss that." Though truthfully, s/he might remain a female for longer still in order to...feed the babies. That was a scenario s/he hadn't much thought of.

Starry grinned, gently pushing the door open with her hip. She'd been distracted gathering up things she was fairly certain Shage and his partner hadn't realized they needed. Baby blankets, something to feed the little ones with, even something for the little ones to eat. "You'll be a boy again soon enough Shage." His mother offered, not letting the strain of her pack show in her voice.

Sigurd couldn't help but smile. "A dream soon to be reality." He kissed Shage's forehead, righting himself the moment he heard Starry's voice. As if a force of habit to not show the sheer amount of love he had for Shage in front of his mother. With a small tilt of his head, she was carrying something. Or a lot of somethings. He squinted a bit, walking over to relieve whatever burden she was carrying. Surely it was too much to let the woman continue to hold while his own hands were free enough to help.

She straightened slightly at the familiar voice before jerking her head around to see the visitor. "Mom! You brought stuff!" She gushed slightly before pushing herself onto her feet. Then proceeded to waddle towards them. "I still have bedhead! If I'd known I would've fixed that." But even as Shageki spoke, she was trying to peer over Starry's shoulder to see if anyone had come with. Cressida's mocking stare was not needed at the moment.

Starry smiled, letting Sigurd take the things she'd carried. Dame certainly had more to carry than she did. "Oh shush Shage." She cooed, hugging her eldest. "It's just your dad and me. It's high time you got some much needed doting on from your parents." Star said matter of factly. Even if she hadn't been keeping an eye on the weather, marking the changes in the seasons, she'd have been here to take care of Shage. But it was close to time for little ones to come around, and this was a trying enough feat knowing what to do. She couldn't begin to imagine Shage had any idea what was in store for him.

"Now make yourself comfortable. Really Love, you shouldn't be up and moving like that."

Sigurd gently set the bundle of gifts down on the table, quietly, and hurriedly going to the door to help his father in law into the home as well. He was suprised to see Dame show up for it, but a bit of thought in the matter and it made perfect sense. Shage's parents loved him deeply. There was no way on the great island that they'd miss any chance to be there for their son. It brought a smile to his face. "Welcome Sir." Sigurd bowed, much as he would to any of a higher rank than himself. This was his mate's father, respect was owed.

The hug was warm and welcomed, as the pregnant pae hadn't seen either parent for weeks. "I just feel like a useless boulder...Wait, Dad?" Her eyes flicked up as a very yellow pae entered the doorway. Instant red face. Sure, her father had never once mentioned anything against the relationship with Sigurd but...she was his son. And was currently a daughter. A very pregnant daughter. There was a lot of gender confusion going on.

"Yup, Dad. Miss me son-er-daughter-er..." He trailed off before laughing and shaking his head. "You're lookin good Shage." As he walked inside, the blonde fae hurriedly stepped up, fussing about getting some packs off. Sigurd. This was the first time meeting him and -yup he just bowed. The demonic blinked awkwardly before chuckling. "No need for all that 'Sir' and bowing nonsense. You're family!"

Starry suppressed the laugh, feeling like a boulder would pass. "Did you really think he'd miss seeing you Shage?" She asked, smiling from ear to ear.

Sigurd fought off the urge to bow again in respect to Dameon's wishes, breaking into what he hoped was a grateful smile. "Breakfast is almost ready if everyone would like some." He offered, backing up just a bit. Thank the guardians he'd cooked a little extra, Sigurd hadn't been expecting Dameon.

Starry's head tilted, looking over to Sigurd. SHage hadn't had breakfast yet? This time of day? "What time are you getting up in the mornings Sweetie?" Her attention was back on her eldest. It wasn't a judgement, but concern.

"Course dad! Just, ah, kind of embarrassing..." She responded awkwardly, her green eyes flicking back to her mother. Instantly she felt like she was caught with a hand in the sweets as a kid. "Oh, well...it sorta fluctuates? I haven't been sleeping very well of late so I've been sleeping later to make up for it. The kids keep kick-ow!" The demon winced as her body slumped forward slightly, hands going to her pregnant belly. "They're really active this morning! I guess they're, ahhh, happy to see their grandparents."

Did that fae boy offer food? His beaming smile only broadened. Talk about a way to his heart! But even as he started opening his mouth to accept, his son -er daughter, doubled over in pain. "Whoa! You okay there? Wait, how long has it been?" He looked ready to burst. And after a few pregnancies with his own wife...there were some signs painted all over the blue boy -er girl.

Starry's face contorted with concern. If what Sigurd had told her was accurate, the babies were due pretty much any time now. "Shage, lets get you to the bedroom. You can eat breakfast there, in far more comfort than this hard chair will offer." She'd experienced that kind of pain before. If Dame was going to make a big deal out of it it'd only serve to make it worse...

"Sigurd, Dame, can you help us?" Star smiled, trying to be as calm about her grandchildren coming into the world as possible. Warring emotions, wanting to shield her baby from any and all pain he was feeling, and of course, wanting to see his children... Maybe this was why Junior hadn't let her near when Ducky had been going through the same thing...

Sigurd's eyes widened a little, seeing the suddenness in Dameon's reaction, having already gone over to Shage. "They seem more angry this morning than usual Love." Sigurd sounded worried, not sure what to do other than to be there for his love.

It should have been a answerless question, "Yes Ma'am. What do you need?" He couldn't help it, looking up from the gorgeous blue woman to his mother.

She blinked at her fathers rather nervous turn. It was just a kick, why was he freaking out? "You guys are worrying too much, I'm fine." She winced again at another sharp pain. That wasn't a kick. She wasn't exactly sure what it was, but it wasn't the usual rough housing of the kids. "Uh, maybe on second thought, laying sounds nice." She flashed what she hoped was a comforting smile to Sigurd, the poor things face painted with worry. Angry certainly was a term for it. They were getting increasingly active.

The long haired demon wrestled internally with himself, torn between excitement at what was going on and wanting to remain calm for Shageki. He was never really any good at birthing time, despite his good intentions and how many times he had witnessed them. It was always a conflict of excitement and worry, especially after Starry's last traumatic experience with Soliel. Dameon quickly walked over to Shage, dropping the rest of his stuff on the ground to offer an arm. Though that was rightfully Sigurd's job...It was strange to be around labor and not be the husband in it!
