Jayleigh smiles softly and slightly. Of course. He got her by the thread. "It's a deal then." She mentions towards him. Once they reach to the hosptial, Jayleigh parks the car as she glances around. There's a lot of spirits here. That's to be expected. It must be an old hospital too for there are spirits with old nurses outfit. They are dormant. Poor bastards. Even if she try, she won't be able to communicate to spirits that have been dormant for too long. Wondering for too long.

Will she end up as those kind of spirits if she died?

She rather be a violent one and burn then be wandering the Earth for many years to come. Turning off the car, she exit the car and slips the keys into her pocket. Glancing around, she pauses for a moment. "I think I see Karen." Her voice was low and quiet so only Eric could hear her. Her almond hues is watching near by the entrance. If it is Karen, she doubts that the spirit would be able to communicate to her just yet. The poor woman just found out she's really dead. Now she have several choices and all of them are not looking good for the lost spirit. Walking to the entrance, she glances to the side for a moment, the spirit is Karen but doesn't seem to acknowledge Jayleigh. Saying nothing, she continues forward and stops at the desk. "I need to speak to the doctor who took care of Karen Mitchell when she was admitted here; she is now missing and we want to know every information as possible" While talking, she shows the nurse her badge.

In his office, Doctor Bashir who had been responsible for Karen Mitchell found himself agreeing with the man who had claimed to be a detective, that there was no anomaly. His eyes rolled back in his skull as the man left.

The one who had spied on the police before, responsible for the Mesmer inflicted on the doctor was walking down the alley, dressed in an orderlies scrubs walked down the stairs, to the car park and grabbed his duffel bag. Throwing away the scrubs, he redressed in his rough jeans, work boots a greyed shirt and motorcycle jacket. He smiled a little, poured lighter fluid on his discarded disguise and threw down a match, before departing from the hospital.

Eric smirked from the deal made. He was sure she'd stay quiet now. Good. That was one less problem to deal with.

When they arrived, Eric was quick to exit the car. He stood beside Jayleigh when she mentioned Karen was there. He followed her gaze as if he would see the spirit, but he of course did not. How frustrating. He followed his partner silently, looking around the area in his observation. He stared curiously at the nurse which caused her to blush slightly when she noticed how intense it was. "I...uh...I'm not sure I'm suppose to give out that information." Eric smirk, leaning in on the desk, and lowering himself to stare into the woman's eyes. He pulled out his badge, and showed it to her. "This investigation is very important to us--to me. It is urgent that we talk to this doctor." His voice was gentle and low, and his gaze didn't falter. The woman pursed her lips. "I'll have to check the records. When was she admitted?"

Seeing the nurse blush towards Eric, Jayleigh couldn't help but to find herself looking at the ceiling. What the nurse could possible see in this man? Chewing on her cheek softly, she says nothing else. With a soft sigh, she needs to get the nurse attention. They can flirt later if Eric wishes. "Ma'am. If you won't help us by giving the name of the doctor, and Karen dies, you do know that will be on you. Right?" That got the nurse attention and made her become very pale. "She was in her teens when she was admitted, so I guess about ten years ago."

"F-found her...Doctor Bashir..he's on the fifth floor, office is third door to the left." Not even thanking the nurse, Jayleigh went ahead and push the button to the elevator. Once the doors open, she froze before she could get into the elevator. One of the spirits is whispering in her ear. Becoming pale herself, she grabs Eric's arm and pulls him into the elevator with her. One it closes, Jayleigh looks like she's about to be sick. "If...If the spirit is right, the doctor was just now killed." Once the elevator opens, Jayleigh quickens her walk and enters into the office, ignoring the nurse demanding her to stop. Sure enough, the doctor is dead. 'Damn it...' Grabbing her phone, she glances towards it and then at Eric, wondering who should call this in.

Eric had neglected to thank the nurse as well, finding that being kind to her was useless now. He followed Jayleigh, and was surprised by her sudden pull on him into the elevator. "What--" he was about to question until Jayleigh explained her reasons. This kept Eric silent, his eyes wide, and his gaze fierce. He stared at the elevator doors expectantly, and instantly when they opened he bolted out to the doctor's room. He barged it, halting at the sight of it. Who could have done this? Why did they do this? He guessed somebody didn't want them to know about Karen. Eric's jaw clenched tightly in anger. He turned around as if he was going to leave in defeat, but then he suddenly spun and hit a cabinet drawer so hard that it dented. He shouted a few curses in his frustration, ignoring the pain in his hand. He glared at Jayleigh for a moment, telling her to call it in, and then he stormed outside to interrogate the first person he saw. "Who was the last person you saw leave his room?" he demanded of the nurse who tried to stop them before, frightening her more than she already was.

Visibly shaken now, the nurse murmured out
"One, one of the orderlies, a night porter. But I don't understand, a detective already came by. Same badges as you. Um... he was wearing a brown trench coat, blue suit, black hair, pale... uh, I can't remember more than that"

Even now, the killer was manipulating the little puppet he had made of the nurse from the hair he had covertly plucked. With a sigh, he put it to his mouth and began to speak through her
"Greetings detectives. Seems you're good little worker ants. But I can't let you find out too much about me. But, fair be fair. I left a file with all the information you could want on that little morsel in the good doctors desk. He isn't dead, just under the Mesmer. Tends to simulate death. He won't remember anything about her though. And by the way, the names Goetia. Be seeing you."
And with that, he removed his presence from her. Those sensitive would perceive it as the impossible loathsome chittering of insects leaving.

Jayleigh watches Eric's reaction. And people called her hot tempered? Hearing his orders, she clenches her teeth and was ready to argue back until the nurse started to speak and described of a detective. This brings out the anger in her. She hates people who impersonate cops. Nothing good comes out of it. Frowning, she gets a headache again as she rubs her forehead. Glancing around, she wants to know the cause of it but was surprised when the nurse started to speak in a different voice. She seems to be in a trance.

Jayleigh hues widen as the nurse returns from the trance, looking confused and a bit sick. ".....I want you to show me the security cameras. Mannaster, will you wait for the doctor to wake up or take the file, I am going to find out what he looks like and we can put out a public warning that he impersonates as a detective and anything that can help us find him and arrest him." Damn it. So the spirit that spoke to her earlier was wrong. Or maybe the spirit thought that the doctor was dead? That would explain why she didn't see his spirit when she entered into the office. Where's Karen now? She hates spirits that are recently new because you can't rely on them to help you solve the case until you can get through them somehow. She has to get through Karen. Seems like it will be a long night for Jayleigh tonight.

Eric stared in bewilderment from the nurse's words. What. His brow furrowed indignantly once the message ended, and he blinked. Looks like they were dealing with something beyond his comprehension. He stayed silent for his partner's instructions. She was awfully calm about this. Eric just seemed to be surrounded by crazy today. He crouched beside the man, and took the file to read through. He slapped the man's face lightly, and then sighed when he didn't wake up. "Mesmer." he said to himself quietly. Eric was relieved the guy wasn't dead, but apparently his mind was wiped, but he would have to see for himself. He recognized the name from the hypnotist. The man mentioned a trance, so it sounded related. Not very relevant to the case, however.

Time to go creepy crawl again, thought the killer, identified as Goetia. He had a true name once. But now, now he lived mostly as one of two people. Couldn't become Detective Masters, wasn't time, wasn't time. So, gently he let his mind recede and the identity of Saul the Barman came forth. No memories, no powers, no headaches, no hunger. Wondering how he had got here, to this decrepit tenement again, he muttered and turned a corner, and stood at the bus stop. Half an hour to go to his shift. Next bus due in ten minutes. He shivered, hoping he wasn't making himself a target out here.

She keeps replaying the nurse's words over and over in her head. Mesmer. Goetia. Exactly what did he leave with them? More clues? It can't be. If he really did want to leave more clues, he wouldn't wipe the doctor's mind; or so he says. She hopes that it's not ture and the doctor have his memory. If this...Goetia speaks the truth and the doctor indeed have his memory lost, she can't trust anything that this Goetia have left them. Entering into the security office, she orders for the man to remove from his seat. When he refused, that's when she lost her temper. After five minutes, the security is cussing at the female detective with a bleeding nose. "Go get ice and fix it before it looks worse. Trust me." Jayleigh mutters towards him, having recently suffered a broken nose herself this morning. Speaking of which, the ice she placed earlier helped numb the pain but it's already coming with the addiction to headache. Groaning and rubbing her head, maybe she should go home tonight and try to communicate with Karen. Maybe Karen can help her and let her know if Goetia sounds familiar to Karen. Controlling the videos, Jayleigh goes back to the estimate time and try to see if she can capture this fake detective's face on video.

Eric followed the trail of the yelling security guard that he spotted with a frantic nurse trying to help his bleeding nose. Soon, he found Jayleigh pouring over the security cameras. He wasn't even going to ask what happened between her and the man. "The doctor is being tended to. They'll tell us when he's awake." Eric informed before he let the file fall on the desk where Jayleigh sat, watching his partner rather than the item. He leaned on the desk, looking at her expectantly. He didn't feel he needed to tell her to read the file, but he wanted her to before they discussed it.

That stupid security guard. After the little fight they had, she had to put her hair up in a ponytail again. At least, it could help her look professional. Jayleigh hears her partner speaking to her about the doctor before giving him a soft nod that she has heard and understood him. However, he was leaning in rather close. A bit surprised, she glances towards him softly and sees that he's looking at her, as if to expect something. Glancing towards the file, what, does he want her to read it now?! Saying nothing, she pauses the video before taking the file into her hands and opening it, wondering what could it be if he wanted her to read it now instead of giving her time to find the guy so she could print out his picture and send it out to the public as well the station to find the guy.

"A lot of it is nonsense. Mindless, insane scribbles I can't make heads or tails of. However, he seems to reference other victims. I recognize some of them, but most of them aren't really local. And then there's this bit..." Eric explained, pointing to a paragraph towards the end of a page. "This is actually about the patient. It talks about her having reoccurring nightmares of a 'dark man.' I guess he'd take her to somewhere that scared her, but her descriptions of the place were too frantic to make sense of." The man's finger linger on the paper as he looked it over briefly. After a moment, he shrugged, and stood up straight to look at the screens. "I don't like this." he mumbled with a look of dread to the troubles to come.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 21, 2014 9:16 pm

Frowning, Jayleigh sighs softly. This is a lot of scribbles. "Nonsense to us but everything to him. We have to try to get into his mind...." Jayleigh starts to read the paragraph that he pointed, a cold chill went down her spine when she sees the two words. Reoccurring nightmares. She's not the only one. Showing nothing and saying nothing, Jayleigh gets frustrated and closes the file before shoving it aside. "I'll be sure to ask Karen about this when she's stable enough and can't harm me." focusing back on the cameras, she got it. "There we go. And...." Pressing a button, a tape ejects from the VCR. Getting up, Jayleigh squeezes her body between Eric and the desk. She doesn't care about personal space at this moment; all she wants is to help Karen and put this killer down. Pulling the black tape from the VCR, "Let's take this to the station and have them analyze to try to get the face clear and inform the public." Turning to face him, she realizes how close they are before getting some space between Eric and herself, "I'm thinking about going to Karen's home and try to communicate with her there...alone. Mannaster, it's exhausting to Karen if she knows she can communicate with me but have to keep moving and keep up with me. If I go somewhere familiar to her, she would be able to focus more. We need her help to find this man."

Eric hadn't realized how close the two were until Jayleigh had to back away. Oops. He tried not to dwell on the matter.
Eric nodded as his partner spoke. He didn't necessarily like the idea of leaving the girl alone when this ghost of hers could seriously injure her, but he wasn't about to tell her that. "I guess I'll get the tape to the station while you deal with that." Naturally, he'd have to drop her off first. "You'll be able to handle that thing by yourself?" Again, his tone and words didn't come out as he meant them.
