A cheshire cat had brought them tea. A cheshire cat. Had brought them tea."How fortuitous are we, moments after setting up we're already offered a tea party." She stared down at the tea, as if she clearly did not trust it. "And by the cheshire cat, no less. I should expect the drink to disappear the moment I touch it. But since I like tea so much, I will not touch it and there it will stay, perfect and visible, until the end of days. In that way I will enjoy your tea, clever cat. Its aroma alone will sustain me. Ha!" Outwitting the cheshire cat was a difficult - but pleasurable activity. Magda wondered if this was what Amityville was always like, or if they'd simply had fantastical timing. She breathed in a deep breath, tasting the tea with nothing but her olfactory senses. "Jasmine, perhaps? No, no I'm wrong. Flidge wicket leaf. Must be." To be fair, there was no such thing. But she was still certain that was what she smelled.

Judas' creation exploded in his face, again. He quickly fled before the embers and smoking destroyed parts and tools could be traced to him.

He left Ignatius's booth with a quiet wave, intending to head back to his own, but that obviously wasn't meant to happen just yet. The reaper was quickly distracted by a clanking, whizzing, banging machine that was churning out something the ghoul nearby called an endless breakfast. How intriguing.
The invitation to make something of his own was too strong to ignore. While he had never been one to experiment with non-magical creations, this was a carnival. There were no expectations here and no reason to fear failure. Grabbing a handful of rubber bands in all sizes and colors, as well as a generous number of little metal scraps, the boil got to work, piecing together a small man-shaped figure that waved its arm when one pulled a loose band sticking out of its back. It wasn't all that impressive. Brenley adored it.

Benji's third - and, he decides, final - attempt at making an Awesome Automatic Breakfast Maker is once again a total failure. It falls apart almost immediately, and the only good thing that comes of it is it manages not to fire projectile fasteners at his face this time. Instead, it simply implodes with a rather anticlimactic "whumpf."

Carlos was very pleased. He let out a small purr of appropriation. "It might be Flidge wicket leaf. With a hint of bandrocatch and hiffilpate." Those might have been words Carlos made up on the spot. "I do hope it's aroma pleases you then." the cat was not at all insulted by her not taking the tea. Her kind and wonderful words were enough for Carlos. Carlos finished his tea and then set back to his work. The leftover leaf grounds were added to the jam stabilizing the mixture. He then used his new glue to get some of the pieces to work together in a strange sympathy. Once done he put the kettle on top.

"Tada! I have made.... a kettle holder." Carlos held up his invention. really it was just a few things smacked together to hold the kettle on top. it might fall apart at any moment really. The jam was coming loose about the edges if touched but Carlos seemed rather pleased with himself.

He held up his waving man, simultaneously hoping to receive and dreading the jabberwock's attention.
"I'm sure I could do better given more time, and it's not an invention per se... more like a scareling's toy. But... I like it. Thank you for the opportunity," he finished, nodding lamely.Quote: GREAT SUCCESS! Prize(s): Ticket from here and Parfait Treat Jabberwock if available, Fawn Child if not yayyy <3 Minipet S/N: smerdle

Waits still had his reservations about this booth in particular, but he somehow found his way over once again. Maybe deep down he was simply stubborn and would not accept a failure in a scientific capacity.
And again. It fell apart before he could the grand beautiful thing could be beheld by the owners of the booth. Crumbled to pieces. Waits made a disappointed sound and simply left.

Ignatius decided it was time to actually explore booths other than his own. It was a miracle. Hey, unstrapping himself took some work!
The first booth he came across was intriguing for it was in the name of science. He could make inventions! Ignatius had all sorts of ideas and he was quite ready to project them onto this booth, no matter how terrible they truly were. Not that any of his ideas were terrible. They were, as always, amazing.
Ignatius grabbed a few random parts and attempted to tinker something together based on his brain's wild musings. It seemed like it worked! Ignatius grinned, messing with it for a few moments to test its conductivity before determining that the object that he intended to create was created.
It was an electricity amplifier.
This was not something he would be sticking on his own booth.

He wanted one of those minipets, though, so perhaps he had to try to get the monster ghoul's attention. (That was what she was, right? A monster ghoul? He couldn't necessarily tell all the races apart yet--)
So he raised his hand and shouted. "Hey! Scientist!"
It apparently worked. He grinned. "Look, it's an electricity amplifier! You pump electricity into this side and it comes out at a greater voltage than it would have on the other side.."
GREAT SUCCESS! Prize(s): Ticket and Parfait Treat if possible? I'll take the fawn child if you're out of treats. Minipet S/N: seiana

Scooping up her bits and pieces with her cloak, Arynek went back to where the toolkit was and pondered how she could connect them. Inventions mean nobody had made it before, however, without learning, she couldn't understand how basic machines worked. No need to say about an invention. Putting the parts together like playing puzzles, it didn't fall apart this time but surely even she didn't know what it was. Quote: Even: Your invention is a success! You are awarded a ticket for your victory.

"Excuse me, I am ready -" Someone pushed her from behind, and she stumbled then fell onto the ground with her invention. Arynek stared at the fallen parts for two seconds, then turned her back, but there was no one. The ghoul sighed and picked up the pieces again, she had to start it all over. Maybe it's a sign that she should re-make the whole thing, she comforted herself. Just the second failure and she won't give up yet. Quote: 1: Just as you get her attention, your invention falls apart, explodes, or otherwise perishes before your eyes.

Shiki grinned and walked back to the experiment station. He wanted to try to build something else. Shyly he peered into the boxes and bins of tools and parts to start making something fantastic.
Just as he was putting his final touches on an automated back scratcher the machine exploded
