Evan supposed it made sense; their weapons were once creatures like the ones they were used against, after all. Still, he'd never considered the possibility of anyone having known Gir before he'd been a weapon. He figured Gir had probably had a family or friends or something before he'd been turned. It was oddly poetic to think that now, as a weapon, he'd be the one to kill them. "Don't think on it too hard," Evan encouraged, passing the bottle back to Tuck. "He's got you now, and that's all he'll ever need. And if he doesn't remember what this thing was anyway, what's he really missing?"

Tuck drank from the bottle before he glanced over at Evan. "You probably got a real good point. I don't know, man. Like I said, just one of them things I think about when I got too much time on my hands, you know?" Herryk made a definite sound of approval. Evan was right. Tuck had Herryk, and Herryk had Tuck, and that was the important ******** thing to remember. Tuck took another pull from the bottle. He was definitely feeling buzzed. "Ain't much left," he kind of drawled, "you wanna kill it?"

"If you're bored then you're not trying hard enough," Evan said. It sounded like it should be familiar. Maybe he had heard it in a movie or read it on one of those shitty motivational posters with the kittens on them or something. He didn't want to think on it too much. It was too early and he was too full and he was the kind of warm that made thinking too much of a chore. Besides, Tuck seemed to be thinking enough for the both of them. Wordlessly, he took the bottle from Tuck and finished off the contents, not even feeling anything other than a rich, smooth burn. Once it was empty, he sighed and capped it, putting it back into its purple velvet bag. That had gone faster than he had intended it to, but it had been worth it. "Well," he said, "now what? You wanna go see the stone?"

"Naw. Later. I got some things to say to her what needs to be said in private. Not in front of your dumb a**," Tuck gave the empty bottle a melancholy look. He felt good, pretty content. Warm, and in good company - there really wasn't much more that he could ask for at that moment in time.
"We goin' to the trainin' field. I'ma beat your a** in a spar. Jus' text me directions to the stone later."
He rose to his feet, and was hit with the sudden realization that he was pretty ******** drunk.
"This's gonna be fun. Come on, ********," he reached out a hand to help Evan to his feet.

"Just remember you've got a girl out there somewhere, and she's alive," Evan muttered, watching Tuck's hand blur in front of him. He didn't think he'd had that much to drink, but he swayed unsteadily as he pulled himself up. "This is gonna be a train wreck," Evan countered, stumbling after Tuck anyway. "You can't hit the broad side of a barn when you're sober. I don't wanna have to drag your big dumb a** to the infirmary cause you magically knocked yourself out."

Tuck stumbled a little.
