Finding only two pieces of wood her room-mate had picked up, Rennati frowned. "I'm gonna look over here for some more!" She told Larisa before moving on to another location to try and find some more. There was a little more over here and she thought she had enough to take back without being scolded and maybe get her new socks taken away. She walked over to the pile and deposited her armful before heading back towards Larisa.

"Yeah, he does, doesn't he?" Smiling at her roommate, Larisa bent to pick up another piece of wood she'd spotted and then paused to stare as a flicker of movement caught her eye. She turned to watch as Yesenia flashed by, pushing a cart full of wood and, to her surprise, the twins. Blinking, she lifted a hand to wave as they shot past and then broke into laughter immediately after. As far as chores went, working on this garden was certainly proving to be more fun than any of the others, wasn't it? Smile still decidedly amused, she continued her search, glancing back up as Rennati found her again. "Hey, maybe if we find a lot we can give that a try too." She tilted her head towards the cart, just to make sure what she meant was clear, and started slowly back to deposit what she'd found on the pile.

Rolling for: 08/02/2014 Wood gathered: 2 Alister had seen the signs posted everywhere. A peace garden.. it sounded, well, peaceful! And Alister was all about that! Humming, he wandered over, and was promptly fascinated. Terry Tuggle was a sweet man, and Alister appproved. The fence was a glorious idea to protect such a garden. The parallels between it and the walls surrounding humanity stuck a chord in Alister's spacey heart. With enthusiasm, he ran off to gather wood. However, he found his mind would not focus properly. Homesickness burned in his throat like the brightest bile. And he wasn't even sick for home, but for certain people. But... he was here, in the military, to protect them. He sang softly to himself as he brought the wood back. "My lover's got humour... I should've worshipped her sooner..." Ugh, now he was depressing himself! Alister walked up to Terry and pinned on a gentle smile. "I apologize for my small load, Mr. Tuggle. There's a lot of work, but I believe in your dream! Do you plan on eventually attempting irrigation?"

The Semblance of Unity Alister can now roll 2d20, starting tomorrow! By the power of weird good luck necklaces!!! Terry clapped Alister on the shoulder gently. "Alister," he said softly, and it was impossible to know just how the man knew the trainee's voice, "I do indeed. However, I am a firm believer in baby steps. If you take your time and put forth the effort, everything will happen in due time. There's already so much that needs to be done, but it makes my heart just sing to see people working together with one another to accomplish something beautiful." Terry Tuggle gave a little sniffle before wiping away a suspicious bit of moisture that had gathered in his eye. "Here. I have something for you." The man untangled one of the many necklaces he wore from around his neck, and placed it around Alister's. "This necklace is for good luck, not that I think you'll need it. First comes the wood, then the fence, then we have to nurture the soil. After that, well." He gave Alister a trembling smile. "After that, the fun begins."

"That would be really fun! Though...to be honest...I probably wouldn't want to be like that girl and be the one pushing, I'd probably just fall on my face." Rennati said in a rare moment of making fun of herself. Even so, she had a smile and hoped Larisa knew it was okay to laugh at her klutziness. They were friends, right? And Ren would know it wasn't in malice.

Shun wasn't really sure what he walked into here. After managing to scrounge up some wood, he set it over into a pile, eyeing the man in charge. "Exactly what are you trying to do here?" he asked a little flatly. The area was pretty run down. He wasn't sure if there was really much use in this place. Rolling for: 8/2 Wood gathered: 14

Larisa had started heading back to the pile so Ren thought she'd might as well go too. Her arms weren't full, however, so she did what she could to pick up a few more on their way. Taking the wider way around seemed to pay off as she found plenty more. By the time she got back to the drop off pile with Larisa her arms were full again. She gave Terry a big smile as she dropped off her arm full.

Blade Kuroda Shun may now roll 2d20 starting tomorrow, but only if he takes the socks AND WEARS THEM! He'll have to talk to Terry again, who will want to see him wear the socks at least once! Shun's flat voice was greeted with a big, brilliant smile. "Oh, I was hoping you'd come. I've been wanting to meet you, Shun. In fact, I brought something just for you in hopes that you would stop by. Let me --" Terry paused and rummaged through his satchel. "-- I've got them in here somewhere, just --" He continued to search. "-- ah! Here they are." A pair of socks, black in color with neon pink frills along the top, and a very disgusted looking green blob of a cat just above the toes. "These are my favorite pair of socks. I call them my happy socks. I want you to have them. They're older, but they're clean. I washed them just this morning." Terry Tuggle held the socks out for the trainee to take. "As for what we ARE doing here - we aren't trying, it's already happening!~ - it'll be a garden! We'll have flowers and fruits and a lemon tree for Yesenia, and my goodness it'll be just lovely, Shun. Now, you take these socks and come back tomorrow to gather some more wood. I'll be looking for you!"

Apparently this man knew of him. Somehow. Shun raised his brow as he patiently waited to see what he wanted. When the socks were produced, he just stared for a few moments. They were horrible "Why are you giving me these?"

Alec wasn't exactly fond of wood gathering, but hearing that work needed to be done and assistance lent. The red head had decided to make himself useful. Carefully, he began loading his arms, nine logs of wood in total stacked in his slender arms. Alec was just barely able to see over the top of the bundle, carefully the short male wobbled forward presumably off to store the collection with the proper pile. Dusting himself off once he dropped the wood in its new homes location he grinned.
"There, that wasn't so bad." He rubbed the back of his neck sighing with relief. While not the most exciting of task, it felt good to contribute to the group effort no matter how small.

Terry's lip wibbled. "I think you do. And they're very comfortable socks, too. I made them myself, Shun. They're imbued with friendship and positivity. I think you'll really regret not taking them." Terry Tuggle jiggled the socks towards Shun. His mustache twitched pleadingly.

Feeling less sore after her immense exertion from earlier, Yesenia went off with the cart to gather more wood. Piling a bunch in, she wheeled it back to Cap'n Tugs.
