Vanavia finds out from her new friend that - as far as she knows - this wasn’t really an… organised or ordinary hunt. If they’d known who they were looking for and had a scent to give to the whers, she’s pretty certain they would’ve caught him, but he dropped all that scent and then scarpered - they couldn’t tell which trail was his and which belonged to the people who’d wandered through and contaminated the scene. It just confused everything, y’know? Usually they’ve got a scent to follow, rather’n trying to guess who they’re hunting on top of a whole set of messy trails, and the smell gave some of the whers terrible headaches.
Brishen finds that Senjene doesn’t really remember that much - she thinks maybe they passed a man carrying a tray? She was in a hurry, and there wasn’t anything very noticeable about him.
Jasiline finds Kerel cleaning the barracks from top to bottom, his face mournful. Looks like that wasn’t the only time he’s been late. He doesn’t really have anything to add, though: he remembers seeing the weyrleader, and they might’ve passed someone else in that corridor, but… he can’t remember who. He already told the Senior Investigator all of this, and honestly? He’s sick of the infamy already.
Keralder has some cred with the drudges of the weyr, but they all seem to say pretty much the same thing: he was forgettable. Nothing special. Didn’t make many friends, went out of his way not to make enemies. One of the women he speaks to had a look at his stuff after he vanished, but there wasn’t really anything worth taking. Just a few tunics and things.
Aldrey isn’t allowed into the cells, but he does catch something from one of the men at the door: apparently the Senior Investigator has pointedly put her own people on guard there. He discovers this because Wingleaders Ko’ren and J’ian are arguing over not being allowed access to him.

Character Name: Brishen
Clue followed: Drudge with a tray… to the kitchens!
Course of action: Brishen thanks Senjene and offers to take her for a ride around the Weyrling bowl on Hazmath and to teach her about harness straps. It isn’t like Hazmath would mine trotting about the bowl with a slip of a girl on him. It would be good exercise for him.
Ooh yes. If he was carrying a tray, that can mean only one thing! It is back to the kitchens. Maybe he will get more cake. In a rather good mood, Brishen peeks in again, asking if one of the kitchen help has gone missing. And if he was friends with Merinde.
