I think you may be right about the getting tossed by the fam thing. You've given me a great idea! How about they are sending her to a distant elderly Aunt in an isolated part of the country to act as a companion for her, but on the way, she slips out (like at a stop in the city for the driver to change horses) decides to try to make a living for herself in that city.
As for the name, I do like Georgia. How about Georgia Eudora Whiteman? Previously Georgia Garton, but changed so she won't be found by her parents. Her old crew used to call her George.

Thanks! That larger image is great cat_3nodding
o.o Oh, I like that a lot! x3 Even better--a fiercely strong, independent, and adventurous woman!
Personally, I'm a fan of masculine nicknames for women, so George is fantastic. And I do love her full alias (Georgia Eudora Whiteman); it rolls of the tongue like a nursery rhyme~

Ahh, me too! And I thought she could do with a bit more agency than just being dumped by parents and picked up by pirates. So she's choosing to leave her family and choosing to be a prostitute, as such a profession allows her to slip into anonymity in the city and she can practice whatever intellectual pursuits she pleases. No one pays attention to prostitutes after all. She's willing to do whatever she needs to to be happy.
Omg ! A George and a Charley that are actually womens ;p Awesome ><

I love it! Actually, you know there was an article on woman similar to your George: independent and intelligent, who chose the life of prostitution (in that era). I can't remember the link (it was an article a friend shared on FB, years ago), but yeah!
what happened??? I was just back online and blasted with quotes x.x;;;;
Air pirates happened!
Thornwick
Tense confusions, such as past tense and then present tense being mixed up into the same sentence. I fixed everything that I saw when I pasted it back.

^^ Thanks, Roy! Everything looks great, but I do wish to cut down of some of the more wordier sentences. What do you think of this?
Quote:
Archie moved on and continued to receive excellent marks while receiving education for his impending career field, until his achievements were recognized by the Royal Military’s top officials; he was whisked off to play “cloak and dagger” for his country, soon after.
Semi-colon? Or should I separate them into two sentences?
And this:
Quote:
He’s honest to the point of being insensitive, but he has a soft spot in him—somewhere (no one’s ever bothered to find out where exactly).

character image you guys already have that Name: full name please, Georgia Eudora Whiteman Position: on ship, if on a ship, prisoner on the C.S.S. Grogram Occupation: pays your bills or debts, Prostitute/Mechanic Allegiance: coalition, neutral, piracy c; Piracy Username: Hiacinth
Position: prisoner on the Coalition's main ship Occupation: Prostitute/Mechanic Allegiance: Piracy
The lead Coalition ships right now are the C.S.S. Seaboots and the C.S.S. Grogram , the former is locked in standoff with the pirate ship Atlas and the latter is about to be getting into some action at Moore ( town ) . There's also the C.S.S. Sanglante Ruth , filling in a lesser role since it is not part of the kalydium projects and is a corvette class ship , so smaller than those battleships c;

Hey gurls and gais >< just a quick update c: wahmbulance The navigation panel in the first post is now functioning so you can actually get to the IC thread ( still u|c at the moment ^^" ) but now you can go read all the Rules and get the Reserve and Profile skeletons and read The Story C:
The only thing that worked for me was the link to the approved profiles thread. xp So I can't read up/decide if I want to make a profile.

Good luck everyone with this roleplay. My hands are a bit tied right now so I can't join, but lemme know if there's anything else I can do to help like handing out announcements.

I continue to be impressed by all this. confused Could I please have some help on making a character/profile? I think I want to play a young stowaway or rigging monkey on one of the ships. I don’t want to give him some cliché’d tragic backstory, so do you have any suggestions of how he might have gotten there? Or any other aspect of his character?

How young are you thinking ? Like child/teen young or just naive young ? Also , pirate or Coalition ? He can be a neutral but the ship still depends . .

I just checked to see if it was broken and it is working . Click directly on the IC lettering in the middle ( the image is in thirds so if you're too much to either side you'll end up back here in the ooc or in the profile thread . Let me know if you're still having trouble and I'll just give you a direct link . The Rp should also be on the first page of the main forum since there isn't a tonne of activity in all of those threads . But that involves searching , so links are easier C:
