 I nod slowly and follow behind Zero. He knew what I was doing.... That's amazing... I shake a little bit and nod at Zero. I hold the book tighter in my arms and stand by the door. I was still a little troubled by the powers of everyone but not enough to shake in fear like before. I smile to myself and tap the edge of the book. I wonder what the thoughts in my head were.... After I see the horses I'll go back into the book..... I have to look at my eyes first... I need to know if they're back to its red blue color... I let my hair fall over my eyes as I ponder these thoughts. I feel the cold from the book seep into my arms and I start to shake. Not in cold but in fear. I close my eyes and push back the cold trying to control myself again.

"Any place that I can use as a makeshift shooting range. By the way, I'll turn myself back to my previous form." Nana said in a masculine voice. She then grabbed another leaf from her sleeve and changed back into her form from before. Afterwards, Nana tugged Akane's hand and said in her usual voice "You like the cold, don't you?" While she followed Zero and the others to the bedrooms, Nana called Karasu on her cellphone and said "You're right, Karasu-kun. Zero can be trusted. I just have to speak with more tact and courtesy than usual. Do you want to send something to Akane-chan?" "Just one of my feathers." Karasu said. Afterwards, he ended the call. Nana then summoned one of Karasu's feathers and gave it to Akane. "This is a thank you gift from Karasu-kun. By the way, don't call him boy. He's physically 18 but his real age is 402." Nana said in a cheerful tone.

I watch Nana change back and my eyes open wide with wonder. she transforms with such ease..... I wonder if I'm capable of that... I sigh and look down until Nana grabs my hand. I was still cold. "It's not that!... It's just..."I begin to panic but I calm down again when she goes on. I listen and watch Nana for a bit and wonder. kasura is okay!... I smile at the thought and wonder about the feathers. I hold the feather Nana gives me and nod in thanks. I delicately hold the feather in my hand while I keep in step behind Nana. "I've... Never called him boy... I think... But sorry if I did..." Wow... Am ageless creature... I really... Want to read the book now... I place the feather in my shirt pocket and hug the book tightly to my chest. As I keep following Nana and Zero I see a door slightly open. It looked like it had a purple theme to it. I stay still and tilt my head in curiosity, but I keep following Zero.

Zero could hear all that was going on behind him but plays it off as if he didn't hear any thing,then he stops at a set of doors and turns to the girls. Now would you two wish to share a room or be apart? He asks as he opens the door to the room where there are two king size beds two desks with lights and a two large walk in closets and a large bathroom off to the side. Now the closets are stocked with cloths so you can pick form any thing in there and if there is nothing you like just close the door and it will change the stock,it is sex sensitive so if a female touches the knob female cloths will appear and same if a male touches the knob. He says looking at the girls with a smile.

I turn my ears to Zero and look at Nana. "I'de rather be in my own if you can spare a room."I lower my ears and swish my tail slowly. I really dont' want anyone see me read this.... I listen to Zero's explanation and then slowly walky to the room with a purple theme. I open the door with my tail and head inside to find a satchel. I look to the closet and tentivley touch it with my tail. It burns me, but I ignore the pain and open it. I see the countless amount of clothing and squirm back. I shake a bit but I start sniffing for leather. Leather satchel....Leather. I head into the closet and dig toward the back. For a few moments I dissappear in the pile of clothing, but I come back bearing a leather satchel. Now I can keep the book with me... I smile and remove the satchel to place it on the bed. I look at it for a few moments debating wether to bring it or not. Well it's hidden... so it's okay... I sigh and go back to meet Zero. I look up at his calm face, but I quickly glance away with a blush rising to my cheeks. "Z-zero.... Can I go back to the library again after we see the horses?" I kick at the floor and glance anywhere but at Zero to calm my nerves. My ears perk up at my sudden thought. I reach for my chest and take out the feather Kasura gave me. I open my satchel and carefully hide it in one of the many pockets it hides. I smile and brush away the slight burn it gives off. All magic... wow... I shake my head and go back to not meeting Zero's eyes again.

Zero smiles at Akane and nods slowly. The library is open at all times no need to ask to use it,and if you wish to have your own room then you may. He says with a smile and points to the room she was just in. You may have that room and Nana can have this room,and if you need me for any thing my room is just down the hall. He says as he points to another set of doors.Most of my time is in the library reading or training on spells as for you Nana there is many places to use as a range here,but if you go out side the castle gates please inform me first or those dragons you seen before wont be so kind. He says,he knew Akane wanted to read her book and he told her he would help her and he would but he had a feeling he knew her father,but he wanted to make sure before he said any thing about it.

I swish my tail quickly as I begin to process things through my head. I get colder at every passing moment. I quickly bow to Zero and wrap my tail around the satchel's strap. "Thank you Zero....I-I'll just go on ahead...I turn on my heels and head toward the smell of the horses. If I go to the training room Zero might go in and see what I'm doing... but I really don't want to hurt the horses... I push on the front doors and step outside. I twich my ears in random directions trying to pinpoint the horses location. After a few moments I run toward the stables. As I get closer I slow down and put down the satchel. I double over trying to catch my breath. I look at the satchel with the book inside, but the animals won. I turn away and head toward a horse. I glance over the stables and only see one of the windows open with a majestic horse. I head toward it and I see a gray horse with a shining coat, I smile and look to see it's gear near it. I sniff and find a crate full of apples. I pry it open and grab one plump apple. I head toward the horse again and offer it the apple. The horse neighs at me in warning, but gladly accepts the apple. With my nerves calmed, I could touch the horse without it panicking. I smile and pet it's nose as I let my thoughts wander. I'll go to the librarly again later... Maybe I'll find another book... I smile to myself and keep petting the horse. I'll head back as soon as they come by.... I'll get cold again and won't be able to care for the horses... I sigh and swish my tail lost in thought. "At least you know what you are... and capable of..."

Zero let Akane go on ahead and he turned to Nana. I will need to talk to the girl,she will have to trust me in order for me to help her. He says more to him self then to Nana,then he looks at her. Nana I have to do some reading on this,if you would go to the stables and get her and bring her to the library please then I can help her if I find out any thing. He says and gives Nana a little bow and starts walking back towards the library,and once there he starts to poor through books and after a few minutes he found what he was looking for.Aki Yoshimaro the only lynx demon I know of. He whispers to him self then he closes the book and gets lost in thought.

"Understood!" Nana said in a serious tone. After she and Zero parted, Nana went to the stables. She saw Akane petting a horse. She went closer to Akane and said "Zero asked me to pick you up and go to the library. We'll leave when I get a chance to pet a horse, too!" Nana went closer to the horse and started petting it. To Nana's misfortune, the horse mistook Nana's snow-white hair, that smelled of grass and leaves at the time, for hay and it started munching on it! "Help, Akane-chan! The horse is eating my hair! Here are a pair of fabric shears. Please use them to cut part of my hair so I can get free." Nana said while giving Akane the shears.

I start to shake when I sense someone, but I relax when I see it's Nana. I tilt my head and wonder what Zero needs with me. I shrug and keep petting the horse when she comes closer. When the horse starts to munch on Nana's hair I whisper to the horse's ear and it let's go. Just in time to leave her hair undamaged, but soggy with slobber. "Come on... Might want to wash that out of your hair."I lower my eyes a bit embarrassed by what I did. I hold Nana's hand and pull her along with me to the sink in the stables. "Would you like me to wash it out?I smile and swish my tail side to side and sniff the air. I turn and scavange around until I see a bottle of shampoo. They must have the same problems... I chuckle and return to Nana. "Here you go. This might help. I'll go on ahead, but be careful.... they really like grass..."I chuckle and bow in thanks. I grab the satchel and head toward the castle. Maybe I should have waited for Nana..... I push open the doors and head toward the trianing room. I grab it with my tail, but I quickly pull it back. Owww... it's hotter... I feel the cold from before on my hands. I reach out and grab the door with my hands, but I feel just warmth. I smile and push open the door to see just the empty floor. Maybe he's not here yet... I back out of the door nervously and head toward my room. I take a deep breath and reach for the book with shaking hands. I kneel onto the ground and place the book on my lap. I move to the second page avoiding the reflection of my white eyes. I go to the third page and close my eyes as the thoughts begin to pour into my head. That's... that's.... no... I turn to the next page and feel ice form on my skin. I close the book and cup my hands together. A shard of ice forms over my palms it glows a pale blue. Ice?.... I need to go find books... ones that don't hurt me... I bounce the ice between my hands as I feel the cold embrace.

Zero was now back in his room standing by a large orb on top of a stand in the middle of the room and a face was in the orb talking to him. Look Aki don't play dumb with me I know about you and the things your done to human woman and I am telling you one of them bore a child. He says and the head spoke again and Zero's voice started to raise a little. Don't mass with me Aki,you know I can find you and if I have to I will drag your beaten body back here with me. He says and when the face speaks again Zero turns and looks at him and he lifts his left hand and takes off the mask revealing a jet back eye with a red slitted pupil and deep scars across his eye and cheek like something ripped at his face.Don't tempt me Aki. He warned and the face fades and Zero slowly puts his mask back on.

As I go through the pages I feel the ice grow more powerful. I smile and giggle as my eyes flash a cold white. When I reach the last page I see that there was a variety of symbols. Elemental symbols... I touch the page and smile. I'm an elemental lynx....That's what father was.... I begin to shake and see drawings of my kind flash through my mind. I was nothing like them, I am a half breed. I close the book, place it in the sactchel, and stand. I put my hands in front of me as if in a prayer and I feel the cold concentrate over my chest. I start to shake, but I keep chanting. I don't think the human... part of me will ... I fall on my knees again and the cold spreads out inside me. Just as I thought.... I stand again and look at the book with curious eyes. Maybe if I keep at it.... I smile to myself and grab the satchel with shaking hands. I don't think I'll be like them.... I have a human heart... I head toward the training room and go inside. I look around the walls but i turn my gaze toward the books and close my eyes. I smell a hint of sea water and I head toward the smell. I go deep into the library and I begin to feel something tug at my insides. I head toward the sensation and it leads me to a rectangular box made of glass full of water. I go closer to it and I see that it is a book made of water. I smile and place the book carefully in my satchel. I head toward the open floor to try something I saw in the first book. It was imprinting their element on our skin, to better their element they have they must bear the mark. It wasn't one of the easiest things done, and not the least painful thing to do. Demons lynx's have been able to go on and keep studying without imprinting the mark on them, but it was harder. I'm a half breed so it would be near impossible. I put down the satchel at a safe distance and run toward the middle of the open floor. Demon Mark I spin in a quick circle pushing out the cold that I have inside. Snow falls around me and I smile. It's not ice like I thought... I look at my hands and form small shards of ice and throw it at the ground. They explode. I raise my arms in time and feel shards of ice pelt me. I throw my arms out and all the ice shards float where they stand. I bring my arms together and push the ice shards to line up in front of me. I push my arms back and make the shards go toward my heart. I close my eyes and force the cold inside me to go over my heart. After a few moments of agony I fall to my knees with exhaustion. Sweat lines my forehead and I shake. I button down my shirt and I see the rune symbol for ice over my heart. I smile and button up my shirt again. The cold only was over my heart, but I can feel it's power in my veins. I can practice it now... It won't backfire... I chuckle and lay down on the gound. "That took more out of me... than I thought...I'll.. just close.. my eyes.. I curl up on myself and hug the satchel to my chest. I fall asleep.

Zero walks back into the training room and sees Akane asleep on the floor and finds him self smiling,he could also feel the cold in the air and walks up to her and could feel her new found power flowing through her. I see you found something about your self didn't you. He whispers and he bends down and picks the girl up making sure to get her satchel and he carries her to her room,he then lays her down on her bed and forms a glass of water out of ice magic and puts her satchel next to her head then leaves and heads to the training room and sits in the middle of the room and slowly closes his eyes.

After washing her hair, Nana noticed that Akane is gone. She managed to remember her scent and decided to follow it. The scent is strongest at the magic training room, only Akane was already gone. Instead, she found Zero meditating. Nana decided not to disturb him and left a small note that says "Sorry for not keeping a better eye on Akane." Afterwards, Nana went to Akane's room by phasing through the door. She saw Akane asleep in her bed. While waiting for her to wake up, Nana decided to sing a well-known Japanese song. Zero heard some one enter then leave and soon he slowly stood and opens his eyes and sees a copy of him self staring back at him with cold eyes and a face set in stone. Zero slowly lifts his hand and takes his mask off and the jet back eye narrowed when the clone did the same and in a blink of an eye both men disappear there movements so fast that they appear as blurs,there bodies could only be seen for only a moment when they clash ever kick and punch that was thrown sent off waves of energy that shook the castle to the vary foundation.
