Shaheen saw a hunter approach the only other horseman in the room, and with narrowed golden eyes set in black, she strode forward, away from the wall she had been leaning back on with her arms crossed over her chest, letting her arms fall to her sides. "Do not lie, you filthy white maggot." The elder war chieftain hissed, her insanity stricken eyes boring into the hunter, "You are here to stop us, as you always are. Do not even attempt to lie to us." The way Shaheen hissed out the word 'us', it was more as though she were still only talking about herself then the collective of herself and the other horseman in the room. "Deceivers. Manipulating prevaricators." Her wings unfolded slightly behind her, their wisps of fog that formed at the tips of her feathers rising up in the air all around her form, as suddenly, her short sword appeared in her hand, and was lifted. "Step back, or we will liberate your head from your fabrication spewing neck." The intent behind her words were deathly serious, even if holding up her sword made it feel like her arm might actually fall off.... She lowered her sword arm slightly. That was only a bit better. midnightglow13x this is Shaheen's way of saying hi fellow clansmen, well met~

A blur of wings and golden eyes (not unlike Hanna's own golden eyes, minus insanity) stalked over. It took a great deal of mental focus not to immediately step backward. Physicality was not Hanna's forte; she preferred mind exercise. So she tried to exercise some, keeping her face blank and impassive. "And yet I am not the one holding the sword and making threats," Hanna said to Shaheen, evenly, calmly. This was not how she felt inside.

Shun gritted his teeth, eyeing the male that Chel was arguing with. "Raise your weapon against us and I will ******** slit your throat. You may be 'hunters' but we are not your bloody prey," he hissed out as a warning. Typical hunter that one was, referring to him and his kind as things and needing to be exterminated. He clenched his daggers, then eyed the hunter that took a cautious step towards him. The thing she said was along the same lines of what Solia had told him. "Couldn't tell you why any horsemen are here but the haunted ******** house spit us out into the desert," he stated, having a somewhat more neutral tone as he spoke this time around. He did not dealing with the hunters, but if this one had the sense to offer information in return for information, he may as well honor that. "I know there's been a s**t-ton of human deaths. Perhaps that should be what you're concerned with and not those affiliated with Amityville. Don't make yourselves the immediate problem and we'll be fine. For now."He disliked diplomacy. If he had his way and the capacity to do so, he'd wipe out the hunters from existence. He could care less about the rest of humanity for the most part; the reaper knew the majority had nothing to do with this particular faction.

Sammy moved into the room and was greeted with, well it was Shun being Shun, a Horsemen making threats, and a Hunter as well. Actually a handful of hunters. The idea of hitting any of them though made her feel rather tired suddenly and instead she just walked to the center of the room moving towards the painting.
"We're in a room with no clear exit in a tower of batshitcrazy. The last thing we need to do is rip each others throats out right now and that's coming from someone who rather enjoys a good fight." Lifting the frame she frowned at the stupid riddle.
"Jacking-Riddles...."

Shaheen was forced to lower her sword arm, inch by bare inch as she fought against whatever was draining her of her Fear the longer she stood there taking on an aggressive stance. The hunters words in return earned her a bark of laughter, and when the woman of war spoke again, it was from between clenched teeth, with her lip curled back in a snarl, with flecks of spittle peppering the air in front of her. "Call it a preemptive strike, you spineless worm." Her gaze slid towards the student that spoke next, the one she recognized as a Reaper, a brief flash of a smile lifting up her lips when he offered to slit one particularity loud hunters throat, though the expression was quickly gone when the exchange continued. "They are always the immediate problem."

When Shun first began to speak, Hanna did not glance at him. She held Shaheen's gaze before gradually shifting to Shun, after Shaheen delivered her laugh and continued onslaught of aggressive words. Briefly, Hanna glanced at her waning sword arm. It had been lowered, that much was good. "It seems to be that none of us understand why we are here, which, to me, is more of an immediate problem," Hanna said to Shaheen. "I don't like feeling like a pawn, do you?" That much was true, though Hanna was pretty used to it. She just wanted to sow camaraderie, if at all possible. Everyone in this room seemed caught up in whatever this was, not pulling the strings. Only then did she give Shun her full attention, straying her eyes only briefly to glance at Sammy (a stranger) and the puzzle. "We arrived unceremoniously too," she said to Shun, which was sort of true. They were alerted to wake and run to the portals. For all she knew, they had been the aggressors. It was hard to say. The next bit of information was much more interesting. "Humans died?" she said. "How?" As far as Hanna had seen, it was mostly mutilated skulls that she didn't recognize as human. Did this horseman know something she did not? It occurred to her she should volunteer knowledge. "I have only seen mutilated skulls."

Eye sighed she didn't like the hunters any better than the next horseman, but killing each other didn't seem like it was going to solve anything. She didn't know how to get out of this tower, and she didn't think anyone else here did either. She turned to the elder and said " Please elder, this is not helping" The she turned to the hunter and said " I am Iounn of the Death clan, and I came in here following our high priestess.. and the speaker of death, we do not know what she intends to do, but Charon seemed very upset that she entered the tower at all" Eye paused hoping the elder wouldn't be angry at her saying this much to the hunter.

Setting the frame in place she turned to lean against the wall watching the squabbling group again.
"Do they have summoned weapons? Are they attacking? You can feel it just as well as I can, something latches onto FEAR and drains it away before you can even swing so making threats won't do you any good Horsemen," she said first towards Shaheen.
She looked next to Shun "Save it for another day, same thing goes for you and me, we can't pick a fight any more then they can and we don't need to give the Hunters another reason to kick down the doors to our home again. Jack knows that b*****d Caelius will find a reason enough eventually, don't give them the extra reason right now."
Last she turned to the Hunter Hanna whom she didn't know, this one looked tiny and fresh compared to the others. "Typically where Horsemen arrive Humans don't last long, maybe it was Hunters, maybe it was Humans, I doubt here you'll find much proof of it since we seem to be somewhere else." Reaching up she knocked her knuckles on the painting, "The bigger question is trying to solve this stupid riddle and getting out of here."
She grinned, "Then we can all beat the ever living crap out of each other like we usually do."

"On most days, I'd be inclined to agree with you," he said to the war horseman lowly, "But s**t's stirring. I don't know what, but I would rather focus on that rather than waste my energy on the likes of them."The reaper rolled his shoulders, watching the others warily. Regarding Sammy's words, he just let out a scoff then spoke through gritted teeth, "I don't know if you've noticed but I'm trying to be diplomatic here.""Hell if I know," he replied to Hannah, "They were already dead from the sounds of things by the time we arrived. There's just a ******** load of clean up to do."His eye shifted back towards Shaheen in thought. Of the three factions present, he still didn't know what the horsemen were up to exactly. It wasn't impossible that they had something to do with the deaths. Then, as if to answer his internal question, one of the others spoke up, explaining the horsemen agenda. "Medea..." he murmured, furrowing his brow. It did always seem like the Priestess had something up her sleeve, though it was very hard to say what she wanted with this towerr.

Shaheen's gaze snapped towards the other horseman, who seemed so very keen on offering up free information to the enemy." You are the one that is not helping. Do not tell them anything!" She snapped. Shaheen was supposed to be the insane one here, not some random mare from Death who seemed to think it was actually a good idea to tell the hunters why they were there. At least Shaheen knew that there was more to it then what met the eye. She stared down at the other horseman with an intense gaze, willing her to shut up, in case she too knew more. What kind of clansmen would offer up information to the enemy like that? The enemy that destroyed their homelands? Probably one that followed Charon and not Medea. Shaheen took a deliberate step back, a disgusted look on her face. Anybody else nearby listening

Eye bowed her head out of respect for the elder and she sighed unsure what else to do, it was unlikely they would get out of here if they bickered forever. But Eye was merely a child compared to an elder, so she took the look for what it was a order and said nothing more.

Jack replied with a Don't ******** ask me shrug, not because he didn't know but because now wasn't the time to start talking about it. There were horsemen in the area, and the air was getting increasingly tense. Still, he couldn't help but quip, "I know indeed," with a small chuckle at the zombie. "Perhaps Caelius will firebomb us again if he's in a good mood. Or throw us at the door until our blood eases the lock open."
He planted himself next to Hanna as a show of solidarity, still quite the beanstalk against the rest. Jack showed no visible signs of the wariness he had inside, the impulse to try and summon his weapon still quite tempting in spite of learning that it would prove useless. It was odd for the death horseman to be so forthcoming, but he was not going to look a literal gift horse in the mouth. He repressed a smirk as the "elder" berated her. "Why thank you," he said with sarcastic pleasantry to the death horseman, unable to help himself for a little extra barb.
So the humans and hunters were already dead, hmm? "Then the thing or things that killed them is still out there," he mused after listening to the reaper. "Five dollars says your Medea will be summoning it somehow. You sound as though she isn't an ally," he added more curiously.

When Eye stepped forward with a calm voice and began divulging information, Hanna's ears perked up, metaphorically, and every inch of her targeted the horseman that had piped up. The Speaker of Death, Charon, entered the tower... it was all filed away. "Hey, Iounn," she said, offering the girl a whisper of a smile. "I'm H, and also, strangely, from Death, though... obviously from your Death clan." The information felt simple, comfortable, friendly. Hanna wanted Eye to feel comfortable, the more comfortable the better. When Jack sidled up beside her, Hanna felt better. The weird Fear-draining or not, the Death Hunter was not confident she would survive a fight in such close quarters. She felt certain Shaheen would go for her first. Shun was talking too, the one who looked terrifyingly human, and even the other girl was piping up again, though she said nothing useful. The High Priestess, the leader -- the name Shun had said... Medea. Everything was already dead. So who had done it? After Jack piped up about Medea summoning something, Hanna shook her head. "Medea left you with no answers," Hanna said, not asking a question but instead pushing toward a direction she wanted to go in. "That must be frustrating. I hate it when Caelius does that to us, which is... always." Information for information, though Hanna tried to keep hers harmless. Shaheen's reaction made Hanna felt more certain that this information was real. She sure as hell had no idea if any of it mattered, and it was all things that Caelius probably knew already. But still, it made Hanna feel good to be learning, gaining knowledge, growing. Unfortunately, Eye seemed to be shutting down. Hanna tried to find her eyes, to communicate: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get you in trouble... Maybe then she would talk again.

Eye meet this H's eyes and she gave the girl a mild shrug, she wasn't about to say more, besides she didn't know more. She was just a child in all this and came into this stupid tower to help her people. She had no idea she would end up trapped in a room with people who would sooner see her people dead. Outside this room they could all kill each other and be hateful but when trapped with people what good did it do chasing there tails or staying here till they turned to dust? Eye sighed again, but the elder had expressed her feelings and Eye would not go directly against her.

"Spoiler H, and you're deffinetly not the H I know from Deus, but Caelius will also likely kill you at the drop of a hat, I've yet to meet a hunter that trusts or likes him. Hell I watched him nearly kill a group of hunters while trying to stop students."
She glanced at Shun shrugging a bit, "Making remarks about slitting throats doesn't really sound like that would be... diplomatic." Turning back to the horsemen she tusked. "Medea, now that's a threat, almost as insane as Caelius, and hell bent on destroying the world."
Leaning up off the wall she frowned, "If there was anyone you don't want to mess with it's her."
