As they arrived in the wasteland there was nary a shinigami to be seen. Which was unusual in itself, being as the last time they were here it was flooded with curious eyes to see the 'mortals'. But this time it was as barren as a desert. Bits of debris and rubbish littered the ground half buried in dust and sand and the only building that stood was the crumbled remains of what looked to be an old hotel - what used to be the domain of the old shinigami king before Amelie arrived and took up shop. "I have a bad feeling about this..." Hikari's eyes darted around them anxiously as she then focused on the hotel.
Xenia gulped and fiddled with her hair. "Uhh..." She looked to the floor and frowned. "I don't know much.. food that's not from my country." Evelin raised her eyebrows. This girl was not what she was expecting. On the outside she looked like a tough older teen, but she was as timid as anything.

Yuji agreed this looked much dffrent. Then he remembered since last time.. was the lack of shimmigami.because of ameile.being here? He took lead, " she probably going to toy with us a bit. But remember we are linked and already dead so nothing she can do can killed us" he shied " it may hurt a bit though one way or another"
Theador tossed her an apple "then go for simple things " he smiled " so what's it like where you from?" He seemed really intrested

As they walked Hikari found herself staying close to Yuji. There was an eerie air about here like this place hadn't been touched for years. "If Amelie is anything like she used to be then I don't doubt she'll have something saved up for us after all this time." Knowing Amelie it was assumable that she'd known they were going to come for her for a while. An ending like that wasn't dramatic enough for Amelie after all. "Didn't think I'd see two here again." There it was, the drama. The only other shinigami they knew, a shinigami from their past. Ryuk. "What, not happy to see me?" He was clearly blocking the path leading towards the hotel where Amelie inevitably laid. And his cocky smile peered down at them patronisingly as it always had done.
Xenia seemed a little confused at first but relaxed when she saw Evelin sit down nearby, equally as interested. She rubbed her thumb against the apple and chewed her lip. "Well.. I don't know if you've ever seen anything of Russia. But.. it's always cold. My family.. we live in the harsh north. It always snows..."

Yuji truer to walk past ryke. " you know what we'rehere for so don't even waist our time dude I here to visit my first w..." he pulsed.and looked to hilarious, " first actually wife... your my second actule wife." He chukkled expecting to have to take action any second now.
Theador nodded " it snows her sometimes but never bad... how do you keep warm?"

Ryuk snickered as he turned to watch them walk. "And what makes you think that she'll be happy to see you? Or even be the slightest bit interested?" Hikari frowned. "Because this isn't the kind of life Amelie wanted. She didn't want to be remembered like this." Ryuk scowled. "Things have changed. No one wants you here."
Xenia giggled lightly as she scratched the back of her head. "Well mostly we get used to it. But if it gets really cold then we just wear thick clothing. Since we're mostly an anti-yokai country we don't want to rely on magic or anything to help us. We're a nation completely reliant on our own abilities. I think we take pride in that." Evelyn's eyes thinned as she settled on the counter. "I've heard about the things your country does to enforce the anti-yokai laws." Xenia frowned. "I don't want to take responsibility for something I didn't do.. but I do admit that we're not all that trusting of your people.."

Yuji smirked, "you think I care if she wants us here or not, there's not much of a choice in that Ruke. Besides as much as this will be hard on everyone one of us, it's long needed. Wether you like it or not, I was never a fan of shimigamis since last time she became one." He took hikaris hand just in case, mostly to ease himself though. Was he actually scared to confront ameile like this? Perhaps that wasn't it, no. He was scard of seeing her like this again, and almost leaving her completely, blaming her for everything wether it was really her fult or not. As the neared the hotel he grew more and more quiet, and scared more and more at the building, like waiting for her to make a grand entrance, which was like her.
Theador shrugged and leaned over the back fo the couch, "not everyone agrees no, but it's not like anyone forces it on anyone. We protect our own, but that's about it. As far as we see it, this country is just for those who wish to be part of it. simply put." He stood up, "though to be honist humans are cool too, to me sometimes they're smarter. We get ourselves in some ruff spots sometimes, we are our own misdoing." He tried to sound smart like he knew what he was talking about, could it be he sorta liked this girl, oh god don't let Evelin figure this out, he couldn't be that obvious, no...

The whole building was silent. As they creeped their way up the untrustworthy stairs it was becoming less and less clear as to if Amelie was actually in this building at all. But finally as they reached the top floor that was open to the sky Hikari panted and saw her finally. In a mighty throne made of bones, Amelie sat there lounged over the sides as if she'd just come out of a nap. She was beastly. Her limbs inhumanly long. Her beautiful white hair reduced to a dirty ash colour as it cascaded down her side like a messy waterfall. Her hair covered her face, so there was no sign of what ghastly thing that had turned into. And her body wore a shaggy grey fur that was matted and knotted in all sorts of directions that made her look like an overgrown yeti. "Finally decided to come visit then love?" She bounced an apple over her skeletal fingers. "And even my dearest twin sister... what a nice surprise.."
Xenia seemed a little awkward as she looked away. "It's not your kingdom my family have a problem with. It's that man that is travelling around gathering all the human countries under his power. My parents see him as greedy." Evelin's eyes widened. "That's Kylie- Kyle." She coughed her change of name, trying to get out of her childish habits. "He's part of this family. But we haven't seen him in years." Evelyn snickered. "He's causing quite a stir in the human world last time I saw."

Yuji nodded, "yes well... it's hard sometimes to come visit when we're unsure we're even welcome too..." he lad to look away but make it seem like he wasn't doing it on purpose, "Iv'e... been hearing your voice... a few times... unsure if it's an echo or you trying to reach me... figured I would come see..." he finaly looked to her, the slight bit of pitty in his eyes, "and to see if you might hate me for what I've done..." he added just to see how she would react. But he held hikaris hand for comfort, quite tightly at that.
Theador shied, "to be honist we aren't too sure what side he's on. He wont really talk with is, and everything with him is secrites now. Familiy or not, we have no control over what we hear he's doing all the time." He looked to Evelin giving her the "don't you start" face. They been over this kyle thing many times through the years now.

Amelie snickered. "Why wouldn't I want to see you two. Those who I've spent all my time with when I was truly alive." She sat up properly and hunched her back over to rest her elbows on her knees. Hikari couldn't see it but she could just feel Amelie's beady eyes fixate on her. "What a cute little couple you two make, I have to say. I knew you two would be together in the end. It was hard not to notice the true chemistry that underlaid my own. In our youth I tried to keep you two apart I really did." She let out a devilish snicker. "Even in death, eh?"
Evelin frowned at her brother but guiltily looked away. Xenia nodded. "Yes, my family are aware of that. However their hatred of your kind will not be faulted by a boy like that with ideals as strong as his. He preaches a fair world of coexistence but my country want no business in it. I fear there will be war if this continues..." Evelin frowned. "More people getting hurt.." Of course she only really worried for Kyle's sake, for all she knew he was getting himself into more than he could handle.

*Yuji chuckled as he rabbed the back of his neck, "sometimes I think it's the other way around, you were bring us closer together." He shied however and looked up to amiele desideing to the be the man he needed to be here as he let got of Hikari and stepped forword so that he was looking up to her fave, to her eyes if he could, "both of you change my life the day I met you, and both of you had been part of it." He smiled, "and both of you are the best thing that happed to me... wether it's the good..." he looked to hikari over his shoulder then to ameile again, "or the bad. But even so, even after death, I feel there is something I can do for you. So we are willing to give it one last shot..." he held out his hand, "can I have your deathnote again Ameile?"

Amelie seemed like she was considering his proposal for a few moments before she erupted into a deep laughter that cut the silence in half and echoed throughout the empty lands. "My death note?" She snickered as she calmed herself and laid back into her chair. "Didn't get the memo, did you darling?" A long slimy tongue crept out from behind her hair to taste the air before returning back to her mouth. "I am the ruler of this place." She declared almost proudly. "I got everyone off their assess to do their jobs. I control what happens here. I don't kill people. I don't have a notebook. The shinigami are my prey." She snickered further as Hikari's expression dropped. "How is this going to work..." Amelie popped the whole apple into her mouth as she giggled. "Give it one last shot? You know me better than that Yuji..." She stood up slowly. "I'm not into all that soppy s**t." Hikari frowned. "Amelie please..."

*Yuji nodded with a chuckle, "one thing you were always good at ameile was supprizing me, I figured I would try the easy way first..." he started to pace, "your always one with a plan, so I know your aware why we are here, and what we have planned for you. But I also know theres no point in opening a fight because neither of us can die, it would be endless and pointless..." he stopped, "but since I destroyed your deathnote, I guess it makes sense you don't have one now... guess they aren't replaceable after all." He took a breath, "so anyways, knowing you, you already have multable plans on what may or could happen. Probably already have a good idea of what I will do, or hikari since you know us so vary well, so this time I'm going to try something alittle different. I'll let you make the first move. Because I know you like taking chances, and we are basicly counting on it. Theres a 50% chance we acceive what we are looing for, and there's a 50% chance you could end up worse and could do whatever you wanted without even needing to be a shimigmi..." he informed hopeing to make her interested in just going with them. "The first step will be making it show your not shimigami anymore..." he looked to hikari, "and I know only one way to do that. Through a relative." He looked back to ameile with a smile finally standing some ground, "so whats your move now that the cards are on the table?"

Amelie stood still for few moments before leaning back into her comfortable shrug. "You always had to jump at the chance to use my own policies against me Yuji." She sighed with exasperation and sat back down in her throne. "Either you two have grown deluded in your old age or you simply don't know me any more. You've always been convinced that there's been a little good in me that you've made your mission to salvage. Your constant determination is flattering but honestly I have no ties to that world any more." Hikari frowned. "That's not true, we're here aren't we?" Amelie seemed disgusted by the thought as she snorted. "All loved up as you are? I'd rather not be one of a mans many treasures again."

*yuji held out his arms, "and what you rather be in this waistland board to death?" he chuckled, "that's not like you at all~" He however did go serious, "I cannot change you back either. The only real tie you have is Hikari now, only she can change you back through the bloodline you share." He patted hikaris head still smirking to ameile, "and we can do that the easy way or the hard way, fighting is useless, but sooner or later we will get what we came for." He nodded, "there is good in there somewhere, and I think it's time you see your doughter again... she's become a lot like you ameile. Veria. Now as a Demon queen I've watched her. She plots like you, twists words, and tricks. She plans things like games. Always desiving and uncertain of who's side she's really on." He chuckled, "and she's tied with you, look at that. Guess there's two ties to you." He nodded as he placed his hands behind his back, "so... lets get started?"

Amelie brought her skeletal fingers to her mouth to hew as she thought. "That girl was and is the apple of my eye. But they've all moved on. Had children of their own. Made something of themselves. I'm little much more than a painful memory, after all the trouble that I've caused. What's to say I bring that trouble back? So once again I need to be sedated to keep myself from destroying everything they've built up. I've no place back there." Hikari shook her head. "Me and Yuji know a different you. My little sister back when we were growing up. Flashes of the tenderness you had when you were with Yuji. It was that man who changed you, you came back one day a different person." Amelie went rigid and seemed to not comprehend what Hikari was saying.
