She laughed whole heatedly at that statement, "Well to be truthful, mommy looks nothing like I do. She adopted me when I was still in my basket. I use to try and get my mane and tail to look just like hers but our hair is just too different. In the end I settled on the style I'm wearing now. I don't wear it all the time, but whenever I go visit the racoons it's easiest just to ask for the usual!"

"Well I can understand that. My brother and I, our hair is extremely different, too. His is a little wavy at best. Mine... well." He tossed his head a bit, causing his mass of curls to bounce. His bangs slid further down his face, covering his eye for a moment, before he tossed his head again to get it back up.

She laughed softly at that, "Oh, I bet. If I had curls like that I think I'd just up and die!

He gives a deep laugh and shakes his head, smiling. "You get used to it. But perhaps someday I should find a raccoon to befriend, that I might have some one on hand to help with my curls at all times... So that I don't have to worry about it when I get tangled in a bush or something." That last bit was said in a rueful tone, that spoke of repeated experiences.

"You really should. Or better, find a few and open up a shop for ponies with unmanageable manes. I'd be a regular in a heartbeat!"
She sighed and slowed to a stop, "Not to be a pain, but are we nearly there? I need to rest."

His eyes glittered as he chuckled at that thought. "Oh now there's an idea! 'Rosh's Raccoons Hair Maintanence - We'll Make that Messy Mane Manageable!'" He chuckled more, pondering the idea. "Maybe I should, once I finally settle permanently somewhere."
He paused, then said "Yes, I think so." He nods at the back of the hill that the cave rested in. "Just the other side of that.

She giggled softly at his comment about the raccoons, but sighed with relief as he pointed out their destination.
"Oh good. Thank you so much for bringing me here... Rosh..."

"I might really have to do that... I shall have to look into it, to see what options I have."
He smiled gently at her words and nodded. "Of course, Zeldin." He led her around to the front, and nodded to the cave. "He resides within."

She gave him a grateful smile, then turned to nudge her way into the cave head hanging.
"Hello? Is anyone here? I need a healer!"

Aurianna had been relaxing quietly at the back of her cave, her head resting on her forelegs, when she heard an unexpected, and familiar voice. She scrambled to her feet, startled. Why on earth... She moved straight forwards, into the light, so her daughter could see her, and she could see her daughter.
"Zeldin? What brings you to my cave, seeking a healer, dear one?" She stared in confusion.

Rosh was relieved that there was such a fast response, though he sighed, a little disappointed, when he realized it was Aurianna... And then started, surprised when he realized Aurianna knew his new companion. "Wait... you know each other?" He looked back and forth between them, utterly baffled.

She perked up a bit at the voice, but her expression didn't change much until her mother stepped into the light.
"MOMMY!" she stepped forward to nuzzle the other mare. "I can't believe it! I didn't even realize I was heading home. There was this kalona papa and he bit my wing. Rosh helped me fight him off. I had no idea the two of you knew each other!"

Aurianna blinked in startlement, and dismay, at the words... At least the part about the Kalona biting her. She nuzzled her daughter, worriedly, and examined the wing with concern. "Oh Zeldin, I'm sorry to hear that... It looks unpleasant, though not as bad as it could be."
She turned sober eyes on Rosh, and said "I am grateful to you, and beyond, for your assistance with my daughter. Thank you for bringing her here." She looked back at Zeldin and smiled, a little sadly. "His brother resides here, at least part time, recently. Did you ever meet Miroqi? He's an orangish-yellow stallion who lives near here... He was injured and another friend of mine has been helping him." She paused, then smiled a little as she put two and two together. "And given that you're injured and Rosh had no idea we knew each other, I'm guessing that's why you came?"

Rosh's eyes went wide when he heard Zeldin call Aurianna MOMMY. Wait, this was her mother that she had been telling him about? He'd never have guessed it, though... Since she was adopted, it's not as if there was physical cues to tell her, he supposed. "Of course... Since I know of no local unicorns, he seemed the best bet for Zeldin. I am... rather stunned by this unexpected connection, though."

She nodded, "Think I need a unicorn, but since neither of us knew where to find one after the fight Rosh offered to lead me here. I don't recognize anyone you mentioned, Mommy, so I think they all must have come after I left home.Your healer friend too. Is he here?" she paused a moment then added. "I need to lay down."
