He stopped for just a moment looking back at the girl looking a bit perplexed as he studied her. "If..you don't mind i'll stop by again tomorrow." He looked sheepish for his having choked on the food offering but glad no less for the company.

"I'm Alec by the way, it was nice meeting you two." The teen glanced between the two, still finding Cecilia to be a bit strange but harmless at least. He looked between them his eyes falling down onto his boots. It might have been reflexively and a glass of water would have been great but he was still getting use to socializing with kids his own age..he was use to delivering things and leaving. So he took that extra moment to speak to them both.

Her smile had been worth his looking up at her briefly, and seeing what she was doing in that moment. She seemed nice, even if she shouted and whispered. It wasn't that bad..not as bad as your mouth burning.

Yikes what kind of spices were those anyway?!

He looked at her thoughtfully at her name offering. "Hopefully your next uh..participates will have better luck?"

He eyed'd the food warily. "It seems hit or miss, but it's alright." He tried to assure her, even if it was a bit of a white lie. He'd had worse, his step father made terrible stews...so at least Shakuntala's mothers cooking wasn't that bad...was it?

He's stay and talk with her for a bit, then head off. He defiantly would swing by again to say hi to the shy girl the next day. Even if it was at his own health risk.

With the new days passing he decided to pop by the shy girls booth again, namely to see if he could perhaps try his luck again...or get severly burned. Either way he felt less flightly and awkward than yesterday as she had at least introduced herself to him near the end of their conversation. Taking a glance around, he slipped into a seat at her booth.

"Afternoon!" He greeted her with a small wave. "Mind if I try my luck again?"

He looked a bit wary, but no less willing. His mostly even temperament at least meant he wouldn't have a complete melt down if things went completely wrong anyway.

Alec didn't mind that she'd been half asleep, and tried not to smile too terribly much at her as she blinked at him sleepily. "I didn't wake you did I?" He commented to her, not actually sure suddenly as she looked like she was ready to take a nap. Yet she seemed to be fine with the request as she shuffled off at least...

While he only had to try one, the mixed results from yesterday would prove interesting. Grabbing his spoon he eye'd the choices going for one in particular. "Thanks." He said quietly, lifting the spoon to his lips after properly soaking some of the rice in the curry sauce.

Crap. He looked mildly alarmed at the spice content, but finished the bite swallowing as he blinked at her, misty eyed. "Woah..that packs a punch." He was defiantly awake now anyway.

It wasn't as hot as yesterday at least. "Hm, you guys used something different today?" he looked at her quizzically almost wanting to ask to try once more but hesitant to trouble the girl to much.

"No, I assure you it's not bad, you have to like curry however or I'm afraid it might be a really warm experience." He admitted honestly, his face evident of the spice."If it was terrible I wouldn't have tried again." he reassured the female. The flavor wasn't bad it was just the brain numbing spices he'd gotten so far. Her antics were a bit over the top, but she seemed like a nice girl.

That poor plate of food however had been drowned in water. He looked grateful as she passed him the full tumbler of water and drank from it. Setting the water down he gave her a considering look. "No. Bad is my step-fathers cooking. This defiantly isn't bad.." He tapped the plate, thinking. Did he really want to try again? She'd already worked hard enough on his accord and he didnt want to pay for his kindness. Yet it was tempting. He might have had his taste buds blasted, but with just the right combination...maybe it would be worth it?

"I think I have another try in me if you are sure.." He glanced around, it was true not many people seemed to be at this booth right now. So it wasn't like he was holding up the line from people or anything. For what it was worth he removed his gloves, and also lowered his goggles so they were around his neck.

"I can help you grab the plates if that'd be easier?" She'd likely been on her feet constantly..and she'd been nearly falling asleep not long ago. Yet the company was nice he had to admit.

[ no problem! I figured you have things to do etc *nods* thanks for getting back to me when you could tho~ ]

"Hm?" His brow knit at the suggestion he could help, but had to avoid detection from her mother. "Sure thing I can be quiet, and I don't mind." he grabbed up the plates she hadn't managed to get and slid off the chair he'd planted himself in. Alec followed after, setting the plates down gently. He really didn't, and it made her job easier. 6 plates WAS a lot of effort, especially for a game.

Alec just reasoned he liked the company, and it was worth gagging his taste buds..at least for now. Another repeat of the day before would have him thinking twice, at least it made Shakuntala's day marginally better; he hoped anyway.

Carefully he handed the dishes and was quick to dart away feeling rather skittish he might cause misfortune for the girl and sat himself back at the booth. A bit nervous now, he'd caught a whiff of the curry before he'd settled back down. It was FRESH. Oh man..

"Wish...me luck." Alec muttered lifting the bite to his mouth. He was certain he'd likely regret his actions soon enough.

Nope. He was done. Shaking his head he grabbed the contain with water red in the face. "I'm good." He coughed a few times, breathing from his nose slowly. "I..'m not sure I can do that again." Alec did smile at her..although it was added with a bit of a distressed note. "I'll help cclean th p in second." He tried to talk normally, something that was a bit troublesome.

Hey at least he'd tried..and failed miserably of course. He was pretty sure he'd made a friend even if it meant paying the ultimate price of offering his tongue up to spice gods...
