Ephira looked at Carmaen, "I'll do it for free. There is something in that boy. I don't know what, but I know that is what our queen is interested in. Also, I believe his other blood is human and that is why he's so eager to leave and not be questioned by her majesty." She turned toward the way Ritic had run off, "Any suggestions on how to catch a human elf boy? Demons, fae, witches, warlocks and just about anything else is a piece of cake...I always have issues with halflings."

Ritic once put down by Leeroy ran as fast as he could into an old mine shaft to catch his breath. "I got to remain hidden from them." Ritic digs into his pockets pulling out 3 gold peices.

She didn't wait for an answer before she waled away. Tracking this kid would be both easy and difficult. Which had always made it fun for Ephira. The boy was good looking and shifty. People noticed when he walked by.
After asking a few random people who had seen Ritic run by, she found herself walking down an old road where old mines used to be in operation. All abandoned now, for years even. "Where did you go?" she said it out loud to herself, "Ugh, I'm going to have to search all these mines, and everywhere." sighing she entered the first mine she came to.
It was pretty stable for how long it had been out of use. She stood still for a few minutes and listened for any sound that might be anything other than demon or animal. "Nothing."

Ritic polished the gold pieces and sneezed at the dust around him kicking up. "Nhg"

" I guess i'll have to leave him be now " Leeroy said rubbing his head.
Shatelle was up in the air enjoying herself when she saw Ephira going after Ritic, Shatelle flew down there and on her way down there she took her wheelchair and as she landed right in front of Ephira she sat in her wheelchair " Ephira, im sorry to interfere with your prey or whatever your trying to do with Ritic but just leave him alone this is just interfering with his life so stop!!! " Shatelle said trying to speak as loud as she could.

Ephira lunged at the girl and grabbed her by the front of her dress, and pulled to so their noses touched "Listen here girl. This is none of your business. I have a job to do. I wasn't ordered to kill the boy. OUR" she put emphasis on the word "Queen has asked me to fetch him so she can talk to him. He interests her so she shall have him if requested. Why are you getting in the way of what her majesty wishes?" Ephira paused, "And what gives you the right to give me orders? I only take orders from whom I choose."
Her emerald eyes burned angrily as she waited for an answer from this girl who seemed to have a nack for not minding her own business.

Her emerald eyes burned angrily as she waited for an answer from this girl who seemed to have a nack for not minding her own business. Carmaen waited as she snuck around the outskirts of the festival. She sensed her Queens unease and knew that someone had to bring Ritic to her immediately. If Kassie got angry, blood would spill. And Carmaen knew it would be hers or one of her bretheran. She sighed. The few criminals she was after were easy to kill and she spent the rest of her time tailing Leeroy so he stayed out of the way.

Xanes_Fox18 Ritic looked out of the mine to see the scrne go down but he stays quiet. *i dont want to be found.... Especially when the assassin is pissed* Ephira threw the girl back into her chair, feeling a little bad because of her being stuck in that chair. But she was too mad to care too much. She closed her eyes and sighed in frustration. When she opened them she noticed Shatelles eyes move slightly to the left and were very cautiously looking behind her. She smirked. Leaning down she kissed her forehead, she whispered "Thanks, you were a lot of help." She jumped and did a back flip landing inside the mouth of the mine behind her and behind Ritic. Before he had the chance to dash away again, she grabbed his shirt. "Listen kid, nobody wants to hurt you. I know what you are. I don't really care. The queen wants to offer you a job or something to better your future, otherwise she would care less about a halfling. Please quit running and just talk to her. The worst she can do is kill you, but she seems too intrigued by you to even have that thought." She softened her tone, "Look, I know it's hard being half human in such a judge mental world. I also know I could never understand that hardship being a half blood, seeing as I'm a full blooded elf. But I am a friend if you need one. My half sister is half human as well. The queen helped her, she works in her kitchen, and she does pretty well for herself." She hardened her tone again,"But if you keep fighting me I will be forced to hurt you until you pass out. I was only ordered to bring you back, I'm sure she would like you unharmed but if you refuse to come with me, well you get the hint." She continued to keep a tight hold on his shirt, but patiently waited for him to answer her.

Ritic jumped when he was found by Ephira. He didn't know whether to scream or curl into a ball and stay silent; so he chose neither by just standing there. As Ritic listened to her talk about how the queen was so interested in him and having to bite his tongue at certain times. But having to Hear that Ephira's half sister worked in the Queens kitchen made him burst in an out rage.
"HOW CAN YOU WORK FOR A QUEEN WHO CARELESSLY KILLS OTHERS JUST FOR THE LAUGH OF IT?!" Ritic spoke without thinking having a mini flash back to the time when his parents were murdered by demons. His mind reals in on the lie the lowly demon told him.
"IT WAS HER ORDER THAT THEY WERE KILLED! IT WAS HER!" Like a lion Ritic Roars as if he was in pain and begins to relaps into his trauma filled past by remaking the pleas for his parents life. For a seventeen year old boy; a mental breakdown shouldn't happen and he needs a reality check.

Carmaen heard the outburst and appeared silently in the boys line of sight. "The queen does not order deaths as gruesome as your parents. Those demons have been dealt with. I assure you young Ritic. Now listen to the wise elf assassin before you anger Queen Kassandra and cause her more then trouble."

With her free hand, Ephira pulled her hood back so he could see her face. "Hardly anyone knows anything about me other than my name or my face. But I feel you should be able to see my face so you can decide whether or not you are willing to give me the tiniest amount of trust. Now, I would like to share some very rare information with you, my father wasn't home the night my mother was brutally murdered in front of me. I was three at the time. He was so heart broken at her death he completely shut down. Luckily for me, they were friends with humans and the woman who is my sisters mother took care of me."
She took a breathe, "I don't ruthlessly kill people, I don't do it because it's enjoyable, I also don't kill for someone who just commands it for fun. I am free lance because it leaves me the choice. I do it because I have yet to find the demons who took my mother." Her emerald eyes burned as she fought back the tears that were trying to fall down her cheeks.
"Our queen is a good person and she wouldn't command something as awful as that. Carmaen has been with her since she took over. She has no reason to lie. Demons are liars, and can't be trusted. Our queen doesn't employ them for that and more reasons. I'm sorry you lost your family to them. But I am the one who killed the creatures who killed your parents, if that makes it hurt any less. We can't bring them back for you, but if you would just listen to what Kassandra has to say and see what she has to offer, and if then you still refuse her we," she gestured to herself and Carmaen, "We will leave you to your business."
She let go of his shirt, mainly because Carmaen was standing behind him blocking the exit so if he were to run again she could stop him. But also because roughing him up wouldn't help gain his trust any faster.

She had a lustful side to her, being born into a family of assassins, and wouldn't hesitate to use force on the boy. She trusted Ephira enough to let her convince the boy first. Kassandra would not be pleased if they failed this mission. The Queen was not a patient or pleasant woman when she did not get her way. Carmaen could already tell Kassie was getting angry with her delay.

Ephira was growing tired of the silence she kept getting from this boy. "Well, if you won't answer me, then we'll just take you back any way. I'd much rather go when you are willing to consider it and came of your own free will but it looks as though that isn't going to happen." She picked Ritic up and threw him up on her shoulder and walked out of the mine.
She and Camraen walked a kicking Ritic back to the palace where the fighters were getting edgy from all the waiting. They found the queen glaring out a large window in her study. Ephira cleared her throat, "Majesty, your....interest...has been captured."

Kassie turned and motioned for the assassins to set the boy down. "Ephira. You may stay. Carmaen! Get to your duties, lest you test my patience again today." She growled softly. She turned to the boy in her presence. "Now young Ritic. I have had enough of your games." The queen had a dark look about her. She didn't want to hurt this boy. But he would be helpful to her if he was willing to cooperate. If not, well.... She was willing to use force.
