Filix grinned down at Pappila, leaning down to take one of the tiny girl's hands. She didn't mind the idea of showing off magic, and Filix decided that she may as well assume that it was what the little girl was asking about.

"Don't worry." Filix muttered quietly to Pappila, and carefully cast the well practiced Chamelon spell on Pappila's hand. To her relief, Pappila's hand did exactly as the spell was supposed to make it do. Filix beamed, a huge wave of relief evident on her face. "I like magic... it makes you feel good. But I don't know how to explain it... I'm not as good at magic as you'll be. My family wasn't as talented with it."

"Goodbye Muri!" Alces called out with a wave as the young girl ran off. He turned to look at the others and smiled. He moved himself over towards Filix's otherside so he could be closer to Pappila and Filix.

He smiled at the two of them, then at Eirnae as he listened to what else she had to say. He however, got distracted when Filix had cast the spell and was watching the whole thing closely. Tapping his chin lightly with two of his fingers he grinned at the two of them, "Yes, magic is fun...However, the night before last there was a slight...accident." His grin now looked more forced then it had been at first.

Pappila watches with rapt attention at Filix casts her spell, then flexing her tiny hand as it changes due to the magic. She smiles and coos with delight, waving her hand with its wand in it happily instead of clapping. Of course when Filix says she won't be as talented with magic as Pappila will, the toddler pats Filix's arm with her chameloned hand, as if trying to comfort Filix for this fact.

At Alces' words of an 'accident', both Eirnae and Pappila's attention is stolen. "An accident?" the moon elf asks calmly, "What sort of accident?" Pappila's azure eyes widen a bit, her facial features registering worry as well as curiousity.

"Thankyou, Pappila." Filix responded to the patting, even if she wasn't quite sure why she'd be patted. She leaned down to hug the younger girl quickly, only paying half attention to Alces while he moved closer.

Filix glanced up at Alces, also wondering about this accident. She hadn't known about one! But she wasn't too worried, he was here, after all. And he didn't have any extra ears or anything from magic gone wrong. "What happened?"

Ursa wandered the outlines of the gardens, she had recovered from the short term cold that had hit her and decided it was time to go outside for a little fresh air. She took easy sniffs in and out whilst being careful not to trod on the plants. She sighed once and simply another followed. She longed for a good friend, someone that understood her and not wanted her for her ideas or guidance and help, no-one seemed to have understood her so far. They persumed she was some sort of book-a-holic who did nothing but read.

"Suit them," she whispered pushing a strand of hair behind her ear before fiddling with her fingers and taking longer strolls. Not noticing anyone for the moment she trodded onwards quite slowly, thinking...

He was silent for a few seconds before clearing his throat some, "It was nothing serious...but it is rather...embarassing." He looked around at the other three and smiled a bit too wide for a while. "Well...I was in my chambers, practicing some of my magic spells." He started, "And I was in the middle of lifting up a huge stack of books I had piled up with a telekinesis spell and I hadn't realized how short I could hold them up in the air and Lady Xannyia happened to be walking by and I dropped them on her foot..." he trailed off and cleared his throat in an almost nervous manner.

"I of course, was worried she would be mad, so I had intended to do an invisibility spell to get out of there as quickly as I could, but it ended up I said the wrong spell and instead confused her with a befuddle spell..." He stopped for a moment before adding, "And then she tripped and fell, being as confused as she was. Thankfully though, it didn't last long since I'm not all that good when it comes to magic so the spell wore off rather quickly." He lowered his head some. Obviously, he was pretty sad that he had 'hurt' his Kithain, even though, in truth she was fine, other than a few bruises.

Eirnae does her best not to chuckle at Alces' distress and walks closer to the still seated young Fey, kneeling down to pat his shoulder as she says softly, "We all make such mistakes while trying to learn. I'm sure your Kithain is not upset with you at all, and understands that it was not intentional."

Pappila nods at her Kithain's words, her attention then going back to her chameloned hand as she wriggles that set of fingers. She looks up to Filix again to ask once more in an eager tone, "Magic?" Apparently she's hoping for another display, as magic is something she could never get tired of seeing done.

"Well, I'm sure she's fine. At least she wouldn't know what hurt her... not that much, anyway." Filix hid a grin, and added, "Besides, you'll manage better next time."

A girl Filix only barely reconized wandered up, and she waved with a cheerful, "Hello!"

She glanced down at Pappila, and tried to think of another spell she could try. Another cheeky grin, and Filix had Alce's top hovering up slightly... now that spell she'd learned could come in handy sometimes, even if it didn't last long.

Alces gave a small shrug as he was patted on his shoulder. "I suppose. I just don't like to think that I could have really hurt her..." He let out a sigh and nodded, "Maybe...before she left she told me, "On the brightside...your spells went perfectly this time!" However, she could have been just pretending not to be mad." Alces turned his head to look up at Eirnae and his smile began to return.

He returned his attention back to Filix and Pappila to see what spell Filix was going to do next. "I hope so." He turned to see who Filix had waved to and waved in that direction even though he hadn't taken the time to see who it was. Then he turned back waiting for Filix to cast the next spell. Within seconds his face became nearly as red his his tunic with embarassment when he realized what she was doing. "Stop that!" He demanded loudly and grabbed the end of his tunic and began pulling it down.

(( I have Neith's permisson to get Filix the heck out of here, so I'll do it in this manner... ))

Pappila had turned to watch the spell's effects and cannot help but giggle at the look on Alces face, as the rest of the situation doesn't mean much to her at all, being as young as she is. "Filix funny!" she says once her burst of laughter is mostly complete, clapping one hand against her wand in approval.

Eirnae shakes her head and helps Alces to hold down his floating top, though she is smiling at the fuss he is making. "Filix, I think you ought to use that spell for less embarassing purposes, like helping drooping roses to stay aloft."

Filix frowns slightly at the mentioning of roses and gently helps Pappila off of her lap, rising to her feet to walk over to be in the middle of all gathered before half bowing cripsly while saying, "I think I had best go." Quickly she spins and walks away. 'Help the roses indeed,' she mentally grumps as she stalks off.

Eirnae blinks, looking at Alces as she asks, "Was it something I said?"

His face had become less red now that he was pulling it down and was thankful that Eirnae was helping. He had somewhat of a glare on his face as he stared at Filix then looked at Pappila, "No, Filix is not funny!" He stated still sounding embarrassed.

He watched Filix leave, saying nothing as she left and finally let go of the bottom of his tunic once he could no longer see the girl. However, he still looked as though he was on guard, looking over towards where she had vanished from sight every few seconds as if expecting her to come back.

He was finally distracted when Eirnae had asked and gave a small shrug, "I'm not sure. It could have something to do with the fact her sister loves Roses, seeing as her totem is the rose, but I honestly don't see why she would be upset."

He stood up slowly and smiled at Pappila slightly, then at Eirnae. His face was now it's normal color and he seemed to be doing fine now for the most part, other than the fact the tone in his voice gave away the fact he was still embarrassed. "I...I think I'm going to go too." He started off in the direction Filix had gone to head back to his chambers, but stopped and turned the other way to go the long way. "It was nice meeting the two of you, and I hope that I'll get the chance to see you again sometime soon." With that, and a small wave, he dissappeared around a bush.

Eirnae sighs softly and moves to scoop up Pappila before the toddler tries to crawl after her friends, grasping the book in her other hand. "Well, my dear girl, I suppose that's it for today. Shall we go to your chambers and try out that book on magical constructs?"

A faster nod the Fey would be hard pressed to find, as Pappila beams at the thought of tackling another tome dealing with a form of magical theory.

"Alright then," the moon elf says with amusement as she hefts her pleasant burden, "To your room we go."

Alces was in the gardens, doing what he usually did while he was there. He had a book in one hand, and had made himself comfortable by sitting on the ground, and leaning against the bench that was behind him. He had been reading for hours, and decided to put the book down for a while. He layed his head back against the seat of the bench and stared upwards before looking back at a bush as he set the book down on the ground next to him, deciding to think about things for a while instead.

Filix tiptoed through the gardens, peering around bushes and trees. She was looking out for someone. Equus, actually, she wanted to surprise him. But she hadn't seen him for a few days now.

She did smile though when she saw Alces relaxing in the garden. Filix stepped out from behind the bushes, making sure her footsteps were noisy enough to be heard by him, to not startle him too much. "Hello, Alces!"

Sitting a bit away, on a different (obviously, she hadent intended to let anyone else know she was there) bench, Rosa covertly eyed the other two, blinking twice. She shook her head and looked down at the book she was gazing over, a book labeled with images of art she somehow managed to get out of Gaia.

"My Filix, for one who had such high complaints over being left behind your younger sibling you sure have ....filled out." She eventually stated, a smirk fitting over her face as she crossed her legs and continued reading.
